- It's like standing next to the artist watching them draw this small Versailles Palace in just 10 minutes. Except you also get to hear their thoughts regarding their processing as the drawing happens, through the voiceover. Even the pauses and hesitations are not edited out so the absolute total drawing process, including thinking time, is preserved. And then, you can have a go yourself. The photo reference is posted on the channel Community Page, so why not take 10 minutes and put it all into practice yourself. Drawing directly, freehand, in ink, has never been easier to learn!

Hi Stephen 😊 Day 6 (skipped a day as with friends but did do something else creative). Boxes! Tough for me, mine are so crooked. I draw the reference then watch your video - a bit like marking homework. I didn’t notice that the middle third of the building juts out from the sides. I remembered the value of the trees is higher so made them darker 👌. My formal gardens look like paddy fields 😅. Not at home so a bit distracted, but still love this exercise. May be able to catch up and do another this evening. Thought I would start at the beginning of the list ( although I’ll need to find number one). Thanks as ever.
That's great. Why not try watching the video first and see if that changes anything, as I try and alert you to issues or give tips in my commentary. May be helpful to your drawings to hear htem first. But whatever works for you is best.
Love thig simple sketch ☘️
Thanks. Hope you have a go😀
Really important advice at the end. Copying a good drawing gives only the illusion that you can draw good. It can be used as a confidence booster, but reality can hit hard when you draw the reference itself.
It can be a hard lesson, especially if why it happens isn’t understood 😀
Love your work.
Thanks. Appreciate that. 😀
Great drawing. I like how you talk through why you are choosing specific architectural details to start with , and follow with. It’s those details that can make drawing more successful. Thank you 😊
Glad it was helpful! I’ve just posted a third one if you’re interested 😀
It is a daily class!! Gracias!
Maybe not forever, but for a while at least. 25 so far, and two more in production 😀
Thanks for the demo. So much to learn
My pleasure. I’ve just posted a third one of these. 😀
Thank you teacher.
No problem Alvaro. 😀
