Great video. Love seeing everything there. Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you too Okie! All the best in 2023 ...
Wow,watch them joe Blake’s,great stuff mate…👍
Think I like seeing the bush just as much as prospecting 🎉
Good old smokey what a ripper
G’day again and great to watch your latest video. I can levitate when snakes are around lol.
Have a great day.
Andy
What an awesome covid camp...even with all the company you had...
Great video mate, got all the wood organised, and I love the veggie patch, nothing better then fresh ,, excellent work, cheers David chalk
Thank you Mr Gold, another scenic video of the Australian bush👍, I never took my Dog out bush prospecting, too many baits laying around. Cheers Kev
Hi Biggie ... Yes Mate, I don't like to take my dog out bush, way too many baits. I remember the story of a lady that stopped on the Great Northern Highway to let her dog do a wee ... it took a bait and died a few hours later ! Luckily I know the local dogger and can find out where he's baited, some change of not having a tragedy ... Cheers ...
Great Retreat" and Story"-Jealous from -5c Idaho! Merry Christmas to You and Smokey"
Thanks for watching JD .... Brrrr ! I think you're having a deep-freeze for Christmas 2022 ???

I love the stories and the prospecting adventures that you share with us. What a life you have had and Smokey is one Lucky dog. Thanks for sharing and all the best for the Xmas season to you and the family. Cheers. 👍👍🍺🍺🍸🍸🍻🍻
Thanks for watching Robert! You've been very busy commenting, I really appreciate it Mate ...
Cheerio prospecting 101, I love the stories. Glad you or smokie didn't get bite by the snake.
Glad you enjoyed my story Jay ... It was close!
Great time out fam. Stay safe out there. Merry Christmas 🎄☃️. Cheerio, Prospecting 101. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out!!!
Great yarn. Also superb advice with the pepper spray. Cheers 🍻
Hi Steven ... Yes mate the pepper spray is the first thing in my pocket when put on my pants in the morning, last thing at night to come out. I was fixing a coffee one day, put the billy on, went to get my cup, and had a huge dog right at my fire when I got back (after like 30 seconds) ... It must have been watching me ...
@@prospecting101 did you pepper spray it?
Those duel axle box trailers with the full cage are bloody handy around our farm. Wouldn't be without it.
Thanks BDazzle ... Yea it's an 8x4, my rock crusher won't fit in a 6x4 ... And as you say, great to cart stuff around with the cage ...
Smart getting away from the pandemic. Merry Christmas and a safe new year thanks for all your videos.
Same to you GT ... Cheers Matey ...
Love going along with yas as always. Thanks for sharing and the story. Snakes 😮is the reason I don’t venture into the woods to much anymore when it’s warm nasty old diamond back rattler’s , cotton mouth moccasins, copper heads and coral snakes here in Texas
Hi Grover ... You can keep those Cottonmouths! That is one ugly snake! And might as well stick a couple of sharpened pencils in your arm ... Those fangs are treacherous ... Cheers M8 ...
Always sharing such great stories!
Thank you again all the way from Pennsylvania, USA
Wishing you and your family a wonderfully Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you too Dennis! All the best in 2023 ...
One hell of a life you have lived mate, thanks for sharing
Thanks Greg for your kudos ... Any day in the bush is a win-win ... gold or no gold ;-)
Love the video a beautiful dog keep safe 🎅🎄⛄ merry Christmas
Thank you! You too! Smokey was a beautiful family pet ...
@@prospecting101 sorry to hear that smokey is no longer with you😢
Thanks so much for Sharing I enjoy watching Merry Christmas You are a big inspiration to me and my gold love of panning and learning ❤️
You are so welcome Ms Mandy ...
Entertaining as always, have a wonderful Christmas everyone!
Gold found a nice 3 grammer last weekend
@@MRGOLD99.999 Never prospected but found a few nice pieces of gold in estate sale junk piles and forgotten jewelry boxes. Few people know what real gold nuggets looks like these days. Got a nice antique tie bar with three placer nuggets on it because nobody thought it was real. Tested out at 22k.
Glad Smokey was ok
Hope you had a great Xmas 101. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks PK, was quiet = perfect ... Hope yours was pleasant too ... Cheers Mate ...
Lucky dog!
Great video mate and I like Smokie glad he was not hurt by the snake. We found a brown snake had peeled his skin off in the front garden on the rocks the other day made my skin crawl too lol the browns around my way are quite agressive. Those mix breed wild dogs should be shot on sight the same with wild pigs. Great idea with your covid camp very clever indeed lol.
Thanks Rodney ... Glad to hear your view, I mean what are we supposed to live with things that can kill us? Cheers M8 ...
Yeah we found my mates dog dead on his bed he'd killed the snake but it got him too. They always seem to move around at night which makes it hard. We were having a beer at the table one lunchtime after mining and my mate grabbed the shovel put it through the back of a solid 5-6 footer coming right behind us to our table , luckily he was paying attention, we were to busy yarning. Thanks for sharing you experiences with us I always look forward when I see a new one.
Cheers Bruce
Thank you Bruce for your contributions ... I don't think I'd bring my dog to the bush these days, as the dog baits are plentiful ... As are the snakes. In fact there are lots of dogs bitten around the bush in the city, I see people letting their dogs loose in the tall grass, a vet's dream, and an owner's misery ...
@@prospecting101 yeah there are plenty of snakes still around the suburbs.
Great video on portraying the Aussie outback 🤣🤣🤣 everyone will be on the next plane here. But awesome safety awareness, never let your guard down. Looks like you had a great time in lock down, half you luck. All the best, Cheers Dan 🍻
Hi Dan, ta for your comments ... Yes Mate, I was hoping that snake would keep em away hehehee. Lock down was weird, I had a mate down the road so wasn't alone ... Actually it was difficult to get out to the bush because the govm't had intra-state borders up ... You had to have a granted lease to get past the barricades ...
Keep on doing what you love, and love more on the life and times experienced in the bush. Cheers Dan 🍻
I'VE HAD A DINGO 4 A YEAR ALMOST NOW" aka aUSSIE RED HEALER! HE''S MY BRO"-THANX 4 SHARING!
Here in Idaho-Wolves-Grizzly & Black Bear-Mountain Lions-Moose....Keep your head on a swivel and Always carry a 45-00 IMO
Yeah but is it any good against our drop bears?
@@kevdimo6459 prob-not .....Yowies neither" but beat 'm over the head w the 4500 control box"
Thanks GG there was no way Smokey was going to settle down with that Joe Blake in his swag. Good onya mate. 👍🏻
No doubt KD ... It's innate right? Cheers Mate ...
Those mongrel breed wild dogs definitely aren't much fun to have around camp...haven't had much to do with pure bred dingoes myself but. Nice bush special mate !
Smokey looks like a bit of a champion (and clearly knows when it's time to jump ship 😁)
Cheers, till then...👍👍🍻
Hi yan, ta for your comments. Smokey was a champion, well his parents were ... The lady breeds fabulous dogs, I got another Cocker (after Smokey) from a backyard breeder ... Not the same temperament.
Great story, P101! I wish I could take my dog bush camping. Kim scared of her eating a poison bait. I couldn’t live with myself if that happened. Merry Christmas for six months ago 😆
Hi Skip, thank you for your Comment. Yea I know of several people that lost their dog to baits, one chap we had to shoot his dog for him, not fun. The baits are dropped from the air, so you never know where they are. One lady stopped on the Great Northern to let her dog have a wee ... And it picked up a bait! Best of luck M8 ...
@@prospecting101 Cruel way to die. Makes me cringe when I see dogs out in the bush. They leave us too soon as it is. Anyway. Hope you're staying dry wherever you are. We are wet down here in Perth :)
Another quality video Champ and introduction to Smokie. Good bush knowledge is a necessity to prospecting.
Merry Xmas #Smokie 😎
Much appreciated Billy-Bob ... Cheers Mate ...
Ha It is a small world. I would say my mate and I saw that very dingo while we were out there. I can say I felt very sorry to see it up there like that. I do love to hear them at night near camp. I feel they are a beautiful animal. That one is the largest I have seen and I think that is what made me feel so sad about it being destroyed.
Hi Laurie, thanks for your comments ... That was a big dog huh? I was struck by its size, they look small running away ... Never seen on so close. The station owner must have put it there as it was near his driveway ... right? Cheers M8 ...
Those were crazy times the wife and I used to have to get up at 3:30 am to go to the store so we were first in line otherwise there was no toilet paper or paper towels to be had a 12 pack of charmin toilet paper was selling constantly for $275-$300 usd on social platforms pretty crazy considering it was usually less than $15. That’s crazy about the snake especially not finding it on the way to the truck very lucky indeed. Interesting about the dingos had no idea they could take down kangaroos. Thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
Hi 48th ... Yea I remember going to my bush camp ... And finding a 24 pack of toilet paper stashed in my trailer ... I felt like I'd found gold! heheheee
@@prospecting101 😂😂😂
Aww I love your dog , mum said I can get one but I’m waiting I don’t want to just get the first one I see , I’ll know him when I see him .
Hi Kayne, have you seen that dog show on Channel 10? It pairs up dogs and wannabe owners ... Quite entertaining, and as you say ... It's gotta be love at first sight heheheee ...
Couldn't think of a better place to be during the covid panic or any time for that matter 👍
That's scary.
Gday mate always makes me smile when I see you have posted , I got attack by a very pissed off tiger snake , well a young boy did and I jumped in front of the boy , I’m no hero I saved his life and very nearly lost mine , tiger snakes are real bastards lol. Hope that never happens to me again 🥺
G'Day Kayne ... Yea, those Tigers! I spent a few years in Tasmania ... Dredging the wilderness, saw a heap of Tigers, they'd chase you in the water ... Saw the King one day, an eight footer, it was 2 feet off the ground, head flared like a cobra ... This was on a bush track, it was a scary animal ...
Poor smoke glad he ok super cute
Thanks for your comment James ... Yea Po' Smokey, he cashed in his chips at the age of 10 ... Cancer of the spleen ... Should have lived another 5 years at least ...
yea here in nevada we have the mountain lion and the bears so yea most of us pack large caliber side arms let alone a rifle just in case we do have coyotes but they are no problem kinda like yer dingos until they start crossbreeding then its pack hunting time.....as for the danger noodles i do like see them but not fond of them in my bed roll so i dont blame smokey one lil bit lol thats why shoes blankets bedrolls all get shaken out before use lol .... take care and heavy pans mate merry christmas and happy new year
G'Day Shane, good tip shaking out gear before putting it on ... I've learned to not put any gear on the ground ... Unless it's like a sealed plastic box. Oh, having a trailer helps, OK well a big snake can get in a trailer too ... Especially if there are mice there ... Cheers Mate ...
Ya'll think Smokey would of barked at that critter!
Have a good Christmas
G'Day PB ... I think that snake just kept trying to snuggle underneath Smokey ... It thought it had won lotto - a night heater arrived in mid winter hehehee ...
@@prospecting101 cold snap here tonight, it's -5 F with wind chill of -25 F, around noon it's going to be -14 F wind chill -50 F something..no worries about snakes here 😁. Blizzard for next 2 days, hunkered down in the house.
Lucky dog and you Just wanted to mention how that rusty chair has been bush a few times mate
Hi Woods ... Yes Mate, that ole chair was made by a prospector, very comfortable! But I didn't like it when T-Storms were about ... Cheers ...
Bloody snakes scare the skin off you sometimes especially when they slither into camp between your legs. We got 3 in one day.
Hi again Knight ... My mate said " I saw two snakes yesterday in camp" ... I asked " Did you make the camp safe after the first sighting?" ... "No" .. Well you've seen the same snake twice! hehehee
No no no Ned, i keep tellin ya, its a bird in the hand and l in the bush, ya gotta forgive him folks, been bush too long and the suns got him
Still luvin the show and my pet the dingo, did u know he is very territorial, he has a radius of approx. 25 Klms that he will patrol and even come into the camp 4 various reasons, usually food. Hope u dont mind tha extra bit of info. Best 4 the New Year mate, happy digging. I will tell u about my snake experience tome, not slip of the finger either
Way 🍷🍾🍺🍹🍤🍤🍤
G'Day Theo ... heheheee luv your bush humour Mate ... I'd love to hear your snake stories ... All the best for 2023 to you too .... Cheers ...
The dingoes or should I say wild dogs only true dingoes on fraser Island would kill your little doggies if they had half a chance they put them on fences and in trees sort off a warning to others to stay away any way great stories and video merry Xmas mate 😀
Thanks for the info Paul ... Merry Christmas to you too and all the best in 2023 ...
Was running along a creek bank with my brother and watched a brown shoot out under the arch of his foot from one side of the path to the other, still thinks i am full of it and made it up.
I'm sure it happened, those browns are hard to spot sometimes, not until you tread on them do they say G'Day ...
Bloody snakes 🤢
Snakes dont bother me, Its those DAMN SPIDERS that make me lose my mind...lol
Thanks for another great episode. I love that red sunset and the rainbow were beautiful
Thanks PRON2 ... Give me a spider any day !
the only thing i have ever missed in life was my spaniel
Spaniels are lovely animals FuzzZ ... Po' Smokey only lasted 10 years ... I have another Cocker now ... He's a bit squirrelly but ...
