"If you've made small mistakes you'll get it back," this is actually false. When you click the account quality and try to appeal, if you just request review, you'll get shut down because that sends your appeal to ANOTHER bot. You need to appeal only through an actual person at Facebook to have a chance
What you said up to 4:09 it's only in our dreams. Facebook is not that kind.
I made a series of ads, totally complying with their policy, very simple and not pushy at all. Just showing the content of a course that doesn't have any promises. Basically an unquestionable ad. And they restricted my account, I asked for a review, and they said was uncommon activity, I send my Ids, but they rejected my review, and added: "This is our final decision". Facebook is the worst company in the world to deal with, they are over-sensitive and the lack of empathy is absurd. Not everyone is ads expert, what if I was a bakery owner that wants to advertise, I wouldn't have plenty of time to try find support (that most of the time are hidden for me and sometimes are easy to contact).
Facebook user experience is a nightmare, it's the worst part of my work.
Google in the other hand is a dream company. My experience with Google ads are great, they always say clearly what's wrong with my ads, not just a generic "It doesn't comply with our policies", they say "You cant use all capital letters in a word, you did it here : 'EXAMPLE'.", Google see you made a mistake, they ask you to fix it, Facebook over reacts, blocks your account and doesn't allow you to contact them back easily. And you know what? I have 100 dollars I transferred there and they don't let me take it back.
Agreed dude. Facebook customer service and user experience is up there with the worst of any company I've ever used.
Facebook lacks empathy, their customer service is the worst. I still don't understand why they ban accounts permanently for flimsy reasons and without warnings. I think their monopoly over Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram is the reason for their indifference to advertisers plight . And the most annoying thing is that after blocking accounts they hold on to one's money paid in for ads and yet to be spent, that to me is fraudulent. I can't imagine how many millions of dollars they have held unlawfully, I think FTC should look into this or whatever regulatory body can give them a check on their unlawful acquisition of customers' funds.

Agreed I have been banned for the simplest of ads, my account was also put on pause. Several complaints were submitted and to date no response. They are the worst!!!

My comment is out of topic, but l just wanted to say that I tried to keep my ads without changing them constantly for a longer time period and my ads are doing better than ever. I followed Ben's advices they are really amazing. Thank you Ben❤️

Hey Ben! I know this is out of topic, but Im running purchase ads to a product that costs 1k for e-com home decor - should I expect sales out of my prospecting ad or should I focus on retargeting? Since its a purchase ad its not getting that many clicks so Im not sure what to do (build audience with click then retarget or run big prospecting campaigns)

Hello Ben, I've created a new ad account that have ran ads complying to all Facebook's policy but then I got restricted. So I submitted my ID for verification and it says "We were unable to confirm your identity based on the information you provided. To help ensure the security of our community, another admin for this business will need to confirm their identity to request a review"
I could not find a way to confirm my identity with my other account which is the admin of the business as I couldn't find anything relating to that at all. Do you have a solution for me? Would greatly appreciate it!

There's always a reason - but you are right that their AI does most of the work and often gets it wrong.
While our ads are banned for no reasons, and they don’t even complete appeal process, many similar accounts advertise with them by violating their rules. We have all the proof. They don’t want to help ( they act like they are trying) . We will have to file a lawsuit against them for giving accounts to ad and not for us. Also, there are very small accounts that they advertise with them with many less dollars spent as opposite to you are saying 😌. They always say reproduce this and send this back. We do it and noone responds. They close the case in 48 hours. Then all over again.

I can't even create an account without being permanently banned, let alone create an ad. I've yet to even get to that far. If you are new to Meta and you have all your docs and business paperwork in order then you're still screwed, but if you use a 10 year old fake account then the flood gates are wide open. They aren't the mafia, they are the government.

I wanted to ask, at 5:22 you pretty much say the higher the budget the more Facebook will allow you to get away with things. I've been watching many videos on this subject as I do not want to get permanently banned for the 3rd time. I've seen many people say to do warm up campaigns with a small budget?
So I'm just confused as to what I should do.
I do agree that Facebook will more likely keep businesses running if they're spending more money. So what is the whole point of running a small budget warm up campaign?

The running campaigns with a small budget to not get banned is irrelevant. With a smaller campaign you would usually run less ads and having less ad disapprovals certainly helps not get your ad account banned. But that's the only part I can see as relevant.
I've had my add account restricted because the algorithm flagged a redirected path. Usually Meta restores it within a week, but its been now 8 weeks an no response. Has anyone else had this issue latetly?

Ben, I read somewhere that you should keep your campaigns always active, like evergreen campaigns to don't go back to the learning phase, what's your opinion on that ? what to do if you want to add new adsets to those evergreen campaigns ?

No I don't agree with that. If you have to turn your campaigns off then that's fine. But we do often run campaigns for years and change the elements in them. Consistency is best where possible.
@@BenHeath how do you scale an adset that is performing well ? do you change the daily budget in that adset or do you duplicate it and then change the daily budget in this new adset ?
Their policies are often vague and unclear. And favor some businesses over others. Like I can say sth like “this is how we generated x amount of leads for this business”. But on the other hand it is prohibited to use before and after shots of some clearly visual work that has to be shown. Like cosmetics. I got a client who got banned for showing before and after shots of couches. He has a cleaning company. This is ridiculous.
The list goes on and on. Yesterday my client got a message, that she is banned from advertising (her private Fb account) for some imaginary ad policy violation. The only problem is, that she’s not running any ads. Go figure.
A week ago I found a breach to my clients account and some scammy ads. I deleted them, but the money went to Fb. Now I’m unable to create another ad account for her, because of whothefucknowswhy so her business and ad campaigns are suspended.
I’ve tried setting up a new business ad account and right away my ad account got suspended then I submitted my ID for review and they rejected it. I’ve never ran ads at all and this happens. I tried setting up ad accounts with different emails not associated with my main account and they get restricted as well right away. What would be the issue here?

@@BenHeath Hi Ben ....I dont know if it's a blind optimism you speak with or you are just ill-informed just to appear helpful to your audience but you have to state the truth if you wanna speak on this frankly or don't speak on it until you experience it like some of us have....they restrict your account, ask you to appeal, you appeal then they ask for your ID (which I think is to ban you completely), when you give off all your information to this dark totalitarian-style wanna-be company, they come back to you and say their decision is final and you have lost your ad account and God help you if you have money in there...cuz that's gone too. And all these happening without explaining what exactly you did and what next you should do to keep advertising. Their support team (Meta Pro) spewing perfunctory answers that dont help at all...Your video is detached from reality and you can see from the majority of comment here that you are not addressing the issues rightly

Alrighr a couple things Ben: 1. I tried to use a client's ad account for the very first time and it got banned. He never ran ads before. What could be the reason for that?
2. I am noticing that facebook is suggesting budget increase, audience increase alot for local businesses like gyms, realtors, dentists etc. Wasn't an issue before because I know what budget, audience works in the industry but now seems alot. What's your insight on that?
1) That just sounds like an error - you should be able to get that back with an appeal
2) It's hard to think that it's not just greed. Yes you will get more results if you spend more but not necessarily a more profitable campaign. I'd be careful with that piece of advice and think about where it comes from.

Ben this is a very interesting video. But what about the tragic situation in the last month with thousands FB pages restricted from advertising for no reason? We are working in the Health & Care niche for over 6 years now and I am working with FB ads for over 10 years now. I have never faced before a situation like this. In the last 3 weeks, we had 12 FB pages of our clients restricted from advertising, with perfect Page Quality, a Healthy ad account, and no rejected ads... The serious problem is that after a FB page is restricted, all the ads inside the account are rejected. So, after requesting a review, if the tech support guy is not an expert and willing to research and find the problem, he will see 150-200 ads rejected and he will leave the Page restricted...
I am sure of this because 2 FB pages that remained restricted after I requested a review were from new clients, 5-star reviews, not even 1 ad rejected before, and they are creating 2-3 posts every week... Do you have any solution to this kind of problem? I will appreciate any help... :)
i have the same problem, facebook has been aggressive this past few month, there are ads that respect their policies perfectly and still i keep getting my ad accounts banned i'm starting to think about buying ad accounts because that's the only solution i know right now.
same here. I have a great customer feedback score, never an issue in 15 years, and suddenly page was banned from advertising without warning and the review upheld the decision to ban it forever. It makes no sense and it means the end of my business. Facebook is killing small businesses. It would be like my normally well-behaved son, doing something bad, but I don't tell him what he's done, I refuse to talk about it but I ground him for life without parole. Facebook, you really need to implement a warning system and communicate with your advertisers.

I recently went on vacation for 3 months and when I came back to launch ads my personal ad account got restricted immediately. Keep in mind I have verified business manager with over 40k spent. I confirmed my identity and then submitted a request for review within 24 hours in July 23rd but I still have yet to hear anything from them. How long do you think they will take to review my account and what do you think should my next steps be ?

This is intresting i was trying to creat a new ad account for my new shopify store and was simply filling out the info for the ads following a different one of your videos when i got a random suspention out of nowhere and i hadnt posted ads at all so i created multiple new accounts and all of them were suspended for no reason i hadnt done anything but they seem to be extremly strict on who are allowed to have accounts

"You're not allowed to use Meta Products to advertise. This is because you didn't comply with one or more of our Advertising policies affecting business assets or other standards, such as having too many ads rejected, attempting to circumvent our ad review process, participating in fraudulent behaviour or associating with untrustworthy accounts. Learn more."
I don't understand what I did to receive this ban. Not least because (and I repeat) I HAVE NEVER RUN ANY ADS ON FACEBOOK before, nor have I tried to do so, or really wanted to do so.
Hey Ben, That was informative. I NEED HELP IN THIS ISSUE. YESTERDAY Facebook banned my profile saying that I posted a wrong post or comment. Truth is, I never use Facebook for personal use, but only for managing assets of my clients. Now, I have lost everything. 15+ pages, 12+ ad accounnts and 5 BM. I have appealed the decision and they are saying once the review closes and if we will not open the account, then you will be permanently blocked. Ben, the ad content is one thing.
Recently, I observed that Facebook bans your ad account when inputting your debit card as your primary payment method.
This has happened to someone I know. She just got a new Facebook Ad account and I wanted to teach her how to use the Facebook Ad manager to run ads.
After inputting her debit card as the primary method. Facebook approved it the card, and in a space of 30 seconds a message came “your ad account have been disabled”
We requested a review and even till now the account has not yet been released. They keep requesting for more reviews without end

Facebook banned not just my ad account but personal account from advertising. I requested for a review but no success. I guess the issue started with a problematic account I inherited from a client which had a lot of issue.
Now, they will not allow me to run ads on their platform. Even after creating another Facebook account, it still got banned.

Don't run ads using the same credit card, verify the account quality, don't run ads without BM and never run ads on a new account, you must wait until your account can see ads too to be considered as a real person, ans verify your id too, use two factor authentication on the account so Facebook can tell it's a real human not a bot, start slow, use some type of brand awareness or something normal to show your page and stuff you do, start with like 5 dollars or 10 when you first put an ad, don't scale it fast, delete the cache on your browser or just try to use another computer it's better

handy video for the would be drop-shippers selling those phone cable chargers lol. i had my fb banned for simply changing the debit card, took nearly a year to get it back and by then i'd lost all interest in fb ads. seen way too many horror stories although i am seeing an increase in advertisers coming back. and yes, some of them i wonder how they're getting these ads approved!

So what is the solution for a new company to get an Ad Account? I am in this boat. I've never had a Facebook account and now my new company (which is a software dev company) can't get access to API tools because of this stupid rule. I've been permanently banned within 20 mins of signing up 4 separate times. I don't even care about Ads, but this is preventing me from getting a Business Manager Account which Twilio requires for the WhatsApp API. I'm being put out of business before I can get into business. Even the mafia is better because then I could pay them, but I stuck right now with a large account client that I'm afraid I can't take on because I can't get access to WhatsApp API without the Meta Business Manager ID. Any suggestions? Do I need to pay a poor impoverished kid for their 10 year old Facebook account? This whole process makes me feel like I'm buying an organ from a third world country.

My account was banned before I deleted it (tired of social media) for no reason. I was a normal user and I did not advertise at all! I had only created the account to attend a class on Facebook that my friend made and I had not posted anything besides comments on the class event and my account was restricted for days. That's very annoying but does happen unfortunately. Did they give a reason? As you haven't run ads before I would say that creating a new ad account is probably the best way to go.

That's because it's not possible. You either need to get your ad account reinstated or create a new one.

@@BenHeath how do you create a new account if you're a legit business? Your old account has your business name, tax ID, etc. so when you setup a new one and put your legit info, FB will recognize you and ban you instantly. This is what drives me crazy - their policies slightly inconvenience scammers (who can just spin up new accounts under new names and carry on) but slaughter legitimate business owners. Or - am I missing something?

Yeah that really sucks and does happen sometimes unfortunately. You should be able to appeal the decision and get it back.

I really do not care about not being able run ads on FB. But its stressing me out, that something with my really old Account seems not OK and these *#% not telling me whats wrong. I guess this is Meta. My desicion is to delete my profile after all these years. I will not support a company with intransparent and strange behavior :)

Their appeals process was just an automated message of "oh well". The appeal was a joke... there was no response or anything, just a canned message.

What to do? I am unable to request a review for the disabled Facebook ad account showing an error with the disabled mouse pointer

Hi Nasir, as you aren't ad admin you can't do it. An admin of the account needs to request a review.

Has anyone gotten “sentenced” for the same thing twice? I have approximately 30 minutes left of my 2nd 24 sentence for the same thing. I wrote the German word for the English c-word. I didn’t call anybody it just wrote as an example. It’s Føtce which I’m misspelling to avoid the UA-cam cops. This is the only thing listed in my record. I made a comment on Canadian Football calling it a damn fine game. BTW I’m American. Could the d word had be thrown back in the slammer? It’s not listed. I know Facebook uses AI to monitor. I had a friend who got sentenced for a movie “which I thought was a threatening. I feel like my parole officer Mr. Zuckerberg really has it out for me.
You keep refering to facebook says etc, where are you getting this information? not doubting you just would like to keep ahead of the game and would like to keep on top of the info?

Facebook lmfao, i was boosting some of my posts, one's specifically catered for my business (food recipes), with no links, no websites, just an image of said food and i still got banned.... Requested a review and it never told me which policy i violated.

I have not had my ad account banned yet. But I do have 12 ad accounts in my BM. Over the last few weeks, I have had 6 ads rejected. Is there a strategy for duplicating approved ads and maybe just changing something small to try and increase my approval to denial ad ratio? Let's say make 20 ads I know they have no problem with just to get more approved. I am trying not to lose my accounts but lately, Facebook has had a problem with some of my ad images for Low Quality or Disruptive Content and I can not pinpoint the exact issue.
Yes you have described it exactly. Keeping your approval to disapproval ratio up is a good idea.
Yupp, had my account restricted even after having the advert looked over by a meta marketing specialist so they can't even get it right! They do seem to forget the very basics of terms and conditions and policies and how they work with the law. They are breaking so many laws it is unbelievable.
They have recently released a new update that have been way to keen to ban accounts, pages, etc.
You should get it back with appeal if you’ve had the go ahead from one of their reps

@@BenHeath got it back, basically picked their t & c and policies apart and highlighted areas which basically they cannot legally apply. Key thing is not to let them get away with it.
HI@@danfrost9492 , can I ask you who you contacted to mention the areas of the t&c they can´t apply? I´ve had my business manager banned for almost 4 months and I have no update. Ads support can´t help because they say it´s their internal team who is analyzing it and will update, eventually. They don´t say Yes, No or Why it was disabled. tks
At this point just share you website on Facebook without advertising and share it multiple times. Even the guy in the video doesn't seem to understand what's happening

Ben , respectfully, not worth the risk . I have 27,000 followers on my facebook page, and 64,000 thousand instagram followers. I am not going to risk a ban on all my accounts. My heart almost stopped yesterday when FB blocked my account. They reinstated it claiming that it was their mistake, but I can't risk it. I am afraid.
Hi John, you are saying that what I have discussed here is not worth the risk, but I'm explaining why ad accounts get banned. I'm not recommending anything controversial or ways to get round the system - I'm actually talking about things people should avoid. I'm confused as to what you're referring to there?

I'm hearing a lot of people talk about how they're loosing money they put into their ad accounts after being banned. Idk man, I think they really are just trying to take people's money, like who's gonna stop them if they do?
That would be fraud and the government would definitely go after them for it.
