Ramattra's voice is so unique and his approach is fascinating. He can be menacing when he chooses to yet stays polite until someone attacks him. I love his voiceline when he respawns after being killed by Zen. He says "You too brother?" in such a betrayed and saddened tone, it made my heart hurt
If Ramattra was to be described as a human/described his character in a nutshell, I feel like it would be; Intimidating features/looks, but overall, has a polite and respectable demeanor
Ok thing I love about Ramattra. He could have been this edgy I hate all humans type. But they didn't go with that route. Instead making him judgemental. But also with a sense of humor. And sometimes With polite interactions like with Hanzo. Makes him way more interesting.
I love how complicated his relationship is with Zen and how it’s reflected in how varied his interactions are. Also interesting that he and Orisa don’t have direct interactions considering how much he compliments her in game.
I think it could be about the fact Orisa actively protects all (including humans) with then numbani being a bizarre amalgamation of his ideals; i do hope they get interactions :0
@@tacosconchile2129 I was killed by Zen as Rama in a match earlier today and heard it for the first time and his tone totally caught me off guard how genuinely pained it was 😢
@@Cervarius_K The whole character feels a lot like Aatrox because it leans a lot into hatred and vengence, but with a militaristic/race war twist to it, instead of the suicidal, destructive PTSD-ish lore of Aatrox. No complaints from me tho, i love these kinds of characters.
I like how one of his kill quotes for Orisa is him apologizing since he 'had no quarrel' with her. I assume this is because he knows Orisa was reconstructed from a Numbani model destroyed during Doomfist's retrieval of his gauntlet.
@@geraldthegoose1685 No, no. Doomfist got the gauntlet when he infiltrated Numbani, Ramattra likely heard of his attack (same as he did for the Junkers against the omnics in Australia) explaining why he apologizes when killing Orisa.
It's not just that; Orisa is the defender of Numbani, a city where humans and omnic do in fact coexist peacefully, a dynamic that Ram ultimately strives for. He seems to genuinely respect Orisa because she's a good person who helps maintain that sacred peace, and thus doesn't want to fight her.
@@Number9Robotic I agree. It seems like Ramattra would all too happily show his respect for Orisa and her "birthplace" if they ever get an interaction. And that Ram will have a very heartwarming reaction line to being placed in a Numbani map, or even airing his doubts about joining Doomfist after what he did to the OR-15s that once guarded the city.
when a zenyatta eliminated me, upon respawning i heard ramattra say “you too, brother?” in a very heartbroken way edit: got another interesting voice line today too! if he’s the first to respawn after a team wipe, he says “alone…once more” or smth like that
He also says this when he respawns in Hollywood: *"I refused to die in a movie set"* Referring if he has a role of a main protag or a main antag of the movie if he's casted as.
A one dimensional villain would say ants are their favorite animal because they're small and easy to crush. Rammatra actually feels inspired by the small creatures and gives a legitimate reason why he likes ants.
and its relatable to his situation as well, if him and other omnics stand together as a single force they are a unstoppable force similar to that of ants
i mean he also did say they comply when threatened💀💀. saying things like their small and easy to crush doesn't inherently make a villain one dimensional
When Ramattra has a kill quote, you can see Zenyattas head is pointing up, has a rounder head, and a yellow “jaw” symbolizing harmony. Ramattra on the other hand his head points down, he has a more triangle shaped head, and has a purple “jaw” symbolizing discord. I don’t know how true that is but I just thought of it and thought it might say something.
Furthermore, both their ultimate are big AOEs, but while one heals, the other hurts. These characters are the antithesis to each other in almost every eay
Ramattra's curved and sharp jaw symbolizes discord and violence as, if need be, may be used like a knife while Zenyatta's is smooth which may symbolize peace and harmony.
I like his character. He’s normal in a real world sense. A person with goals will use everything at their disposal if the opportunity presents itself to achieve it. That and he understands what’s a waste of energy and what’s not.
His interactions with Zen are so interesting to me, because even though they are on different paths, he doesn't seem to hate him for it. And he's suprisingly friendly with a lot of the roster. Sure I might never get to play him because I doubt I'll get to level 45, but it's good to know that personality-wise Blizz haven't lost their touch

i feel bad for Genji, he’s still so insecure and self-conscious that he even doubts why Zenyatta helped him, even though he’s the one who went to Genji to help :(
Yes, you can see in the corner text saying he has many responses, such as serving coffee, driving a tractor, or collecting payments at a laser tag arena. I think the whole point of why Zenyatta gives different responses and why it's confirmed all of them are lies, is because what he used to do doesn't matter. Who he is now, and what he does now is what matters.
I like how Baptiste knows of Ramattra's dislike of humans and acknowlages it instead of mocking or feeding off of it like some other characters would. Truely one of the nicest blokes in the cast.
I particularly like his interaction with Junker Queen. He’s all ready to show her up with his abilities and skills, but Queen just shuts him down by saying she’s taken on others of his model type.
There is a good reason why the omnics made such a powerful enemy, their units killing efficiency is probably very frightening, especially the fact Ramattra is a combat unit.
Interesting that Ramattra tries to have a little small talk with Pharah despite her humanity. I guess he has a little bit more respect for her than most others since Helix is the one keeping Anubis in check.
I was expecting Ramattra and Orisa to have pre-game interactions, but if they do based on Ramattra's quote on witnessing eliminations. Orisa wouldn't like him because Efi is basically Orisa's family and what drives her to be better
Ooh I've been waiting for this!! Thanks for putting these videos together as always! Ramattra's voicelines/interactions are so cool to listen to! Love how tense he is with almost all humans and then Lucio's all like 'favorite animal! go!' gotta love the wholesome frog man xD Also as a support main, Ramattra making fun of Rein charging into the enemy line is too deeply felt!!
They are all in a team, but the vocal tones in Ramattra’s and certain other Hero’s interactions voices, you can hear the spite between both parties. I love, LOVE stories where Villains, Hero’s, friends and enemies get over there stances and come together to take down an even bigger threat, Or for a transactional means to an end for a reward that greatly benefits all parties involved. Sometimes there’s some genuine good vibes, adrenaline rushes even enlightenment when the lines of bad history between each other get blurred while everybody is working to fulfill the mission to the end. But, ultimately, at the end of the day, this is just a BUSINESS TRANSACTION, do NOT get it fucked up. I feel like Rammantra’s interactions reflect this philosophy 100%
Gotta hand it to him, if someone keeping my people as second class citizens started getting high and mighty about "justice" I'd probably tell them to stfu as well.
I know it’s a generic voice line but it’s nice to see Lucio not trying to antagonize Ramattra like others do. Makes it better seeing Ramattra give an actual answer too.
The people that write these voice lines need a raise.

Ramattra so far is my favourite character, I just love listening to his voice and voicelines, that one when he kills Rein made me smile and sad since I also play Rein. He's a villain for sure, but not just any clichê villain, he's a bad guy cuz that's the only way to secure a future for his own kind, he tried the peaceful way. He doesn't mind working with humans that are somewhat useful. I just wonder if one day, Ramattra will learn about Mondatta's death.
@ I honestly expected Ramattra and Tracer to have a voice line together. If anything, considering her voice line “maybe the world would’ve been better off it it were me instead of him” from the first game with Genji, I’d imagine it going like this. Tracer: A lot of times I wish I took the bullet for Mondatta. Ramattra: As much as I miss him, wishing suicide on yourself will not bring him back. Don’t be so hard on yourself Tracer: That spider will pay for this Ramattra: Indeed she will
I still love how his Genji kill quotes always show one thing: he HATES servitude, not of omnics but of humans as well. He doesn't see Genji as Zen's student, he sees him as Zen's servant. Additionally he's suffered so much that something like being a cyborg isn't worthy of pity in his eyes. He wants people and omnics to be equal, so he doesn't like the relationship Genji and Zen have in his perspective
I find it sweet that Ram’s line for eliminating Orisa was a genuine apology. The fact that he apologizes for killing her since he didn’t have any issues with her is pretty heart warming to hear
I like most of these, but the one with Hanzo stood out to me, because it actually feels like there's hidden meaning to Hanzo's words. When he says firearms make killing too simple, I don't take that as him saying it doesn't challenge him enough to be satisfying, at least not entirely. I think there's also a hint of him wanting to make it harder simply because he doesn't actually like to kill but he realizes how good he is at it and doesn't want to risk using something so efficient that he could go too far and kill more than necessary. Kind of a Batman vibe. Restraining himself because he's worried that he couldn't stop himself if he didn't. And I like that one with Junkrat. "You are not a journalist." Like he actually would have liked to speak to him if he was a real journalist. Which he honestly probably would.
He's a lot more nuanced than I thought. I'd love to see him interact with torb, Reinhart, Soldier, Tracer, and a group interaction with orisa, zen,Bastion, and echo. Y'know like junker queens but with Omnics
Or a Roadhog and Ramattra interaction. Y’know considering that the reason why Australia is an apocalyptic wasteland was because him and multiple other Australians destroyed an omnium (an enormous factory that makes omnics) and basically blew up like a continent wide nuke
When I was first saw him(didn't watch the trailer), I expect Ramattra's voice to be deep, raspy, emphasizing his villainous aura. 🤖 Then comes his voice... it's surprisingly soothing.
Personally, I like his interactions with Pharah the most. It’s clear she’s profiling him because he’s an Omnic, and while yes, he is leading an extremist group, he’s still polite with the people he works with. Deep down, I know he would still like to find and make peace with humans. However, it’s people like Pharah that make it difficult with their assumptions, she just isn’t the ones who are violent about it. At least without being given an OKAY. Extremist do what they do when they’re pushed to the limit, and I think Pharah’s interactions with him are almost like the tip of the iceburg with Null Sector as a whole.
His interactions between Zenyatta reminds me of Hanzo and Gengi, in a sense where one is bitter with their life while the other trying to make sense of their life.
Commenting this on every rammatra interactions vid because I'm a Dva simp but it's nice to see her completely serious for a change since Ramattra is the first character that she actually has conflict with
I personally love the little human elements they add to his speech, such as that sigh he makes when talking with Zen, though he wouldn't even need to breath or anything like that.
The vocal fry and emotion in "I had no quarrel with you. I'm sorry." After killing an Orisa just made me love Ramattra even more. He chose peace and harmony and the humans showed that it would never be enough. He learned their language and proceeds to mock them in their own tongue, but he does not hate them all and if he could achieve what he wanted without violence he would have. He does not want violence and he even less wants violence against artificial life. Be they Omnic, Robot/Android, or Sentient War Machine.
Sigmas and ramattras VA’s have to be some of the best I’ve ever heard in a game or even in media as a whole…definitely my favorites in the game…so much emotion and character is backed up intro those voices…
Ramattra being nice and polite to humans despite what humans have done to him and his is appropriate. He's being better than them, or at least trying to appear better.
What I find interesting is when we first see ramattra he’s talking with doom listening to him about getting talons help, but in these voice lines, mainly when defeating doom he sounds almost mocking, I wonder if this means ramattra refused the offer or got backstabbed by talon
I love how they design Ramattra. Most characters like him are 1 dimensional in their "I hate [X Group]!" traits, but he's quite polite and outright kind in many of his interactions. A welcome change of pace.
It's really interesting to hear Ramattra's kill interactions with other omnics He is obviously sorry to kill his brother Zenyatta, and wishes he was on his side He doesn't try to convince Bastion though. Perhaps he thinks Bastion is too naive or kind (In it's own robo-killing way) to actually go against humans Out of all omnics i think he hates Echo the most. While Zenyatta is very spiritual and kind, he is very unlike an average human. But Echo is happy to copy anyone and their behaviour, including humans. I think Ramattra sees this as her weakness It's interesting what he sympathizes with Orisa, considering her love for humans. I think it's because Ramattra sees a little bit of himself in her. An ex-military omnic who was/is on a road of peace. Maybe somewhere deep down Ramattra thinks Orisa will face the same fate as he did once humans betray her too
Well Orisa was created by efi who is a human but Ramattra on the other hand wasn’t. He wasn’t created by human hands, he was a R-7000 ravager at first. Orisa was created by human hands so I don’t think she’ll ever turn against humans because efi is like family to her, but Ramattra isn’t close to any human he’s only close to omnics like zenyatta and lanet.
Ramattra is the embodiment of “professionals have standards” and “you are bad guy but this does not mean you are bad guy”
"Be polite, be effective, have a plan to kill every human you meet"
Love that quote from meet the sniper
Zenyatta and Ramattra conversations weren’t bad at all, they still talk like best friend but both walked on different path.
"At my lowest point, I was crushing men's skulls like sparrow eggs between my servos... Then I realized, hey, this is kinda fun!"

If Ramattra was to be described as a human/described his character in a nutshell, I feel like it would be;
Intimidating features/looks, but overall, has a polite and respectable demeanor
Same, that was heartbreaking

Ok thing I love about Ramattra. He could have been this edgy I hate all humans type. But they didn't go with that route. Instead making him judgemental. But also with a sense of humor. And sometimes With polite interactions like with Hanzo. Makes him way more interesting.
He's same characteristics as magneo
Blizz has edginess reserved for Reaper voicelines.
His Hanzo interaction is funny af, really makes me like his character more
Yeah, he has a general disdain to humans, however if he sees that someone isn’t so bad, he’ll respect them
He wanted peace once
He’s basically the Magneto to Zen’s Xavier.
Plus he’s less anti human more than Magneto
This just makes me want to see them have an argument about their philosophies while playing chess.
Also if you get killed as Ram by a Zenyatta upon respawning he goes „you too brother?“ almost teared up when he said it
@@tacosconchile2129 I was killed by Zen as Rama in a match earlier today and heard it for the first time and his tone totally caught me off guard how genuinely pained it was 😢
Every time Ramattra says “Take EVERYTHING from them!”…🙌🏾
And his ultimate line: “Suffer as I have”
The devs were really in their bag with Ramattra.
Ngl, I think "TAKE EVERYTHING FROM THEM" was just them copying Aatrox, given it's literally the same voice actor, with a somewhat similar character.
@@Cervarius_K The whole character feels a lot like Aatrox because it leans a lot into hatred and vengence, but with a militaristic/race war twist to it, instead of the suicidal, destructive PTSD-ish lore of Aatrox. No complaints from me tho, i love these kinds of characters.
the one who hits the hardest "I WILL USE A LANGUAGE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND, VIOLENCE"
I like how one of his kill quotes for Orisa is him apologizing since he 'had no quarrel' with her. I assume this is because he knows Orisa was reconstructed from a Numbani model destroyed during Doomfist's retrieval of his gauntlet.
Rammatra retrieved his gauntlet?
@@geraldthegoose1685 no it was when DOOMFIST reclaimed his gauntlet.
5:15 you can really hear the emotion he holds
when a zenyatta eliminated me, upon respawning i heard ramattra say “you too, brother?” in a very heartbroken way

Holy shit
He’s had many “betrayals” like other omnics leaving Null sector or disapproving of his actions in canon
He also says this when he respawns in Hollywood: *"I refused to die in a movie set"*

@@Un1234l that's actually who Ramattra reminds me of.
@@implosive4778 Cooperate. Not comply. They work together in the face of danger.
Nah bro taking inspiration from ants is also pretty one dimensional, these are backgrounds for a hero-shootergame, let's not pretend it's deep.

There is also a voice line when he Respawns if he's Elim'd by Zenny.
"You too brother?"
I love that they do "between tanks" interactions, even though it's impossible to get them in normal games.
Open queue though.
There’s something called “Open Queue” you know?
You ever heard of open queues?
“Normal” games, they know
It’s some common in open que, there’s normally 2 tanks. I’ve experienced 5 tanks on one team and we still somehow dominated.
Just realized the yellow and purple symbolizing harmony and discord. Nice!
I like his character. He’s normal in a real world sense. A person with goals will use everything at their disposal if the opportunity presents itself to achieve it. That and he understands what’s a waste of energy and what’s not.
By far the best new character blizzard has introduced to the series. If he's the main antagonist going forward I'm all for it.

I just love the moments where he's just legitimately baffled. Hanzo and especially Widow. Just how disarmed he was by her non-answer.
4:14
Another version of this dialogue has him say he used to be a lifeguard.

Love how tense he is with almost all humans and then Lucio's all like 'favorite animal! go!' gotta love the wholesome frog man xD Also as a support main, Ramattra making fun of Rein charging into the enemy line is too deeply felt!!
Hey Panda, good to see you again! Thanks for watching :)
You would think that as Zen’s ‘brother’ , Ramattra would know about what he did before the crisis, but no, even the one closest to him doesn’t know.
Ramattra is probably my new favorite villainous character. I always do love the ones that have a 'good in my eyes' perspective

Don’t be so hard on yourself
Tracer: That spider will pay for this
Ramattra: Indeed she will
I still love how his Genji kill quotes always show one thing: he HATES servitude, not of omnics but of humans as well.
“Planning to steal it for your own designs? Nice try.”
“I was being polite.” 😂
as a ball main i approve of ramattra now
I find it sweet that Ram’s line for eliminating Orisa was a genuine apology.
While he may not be the best character to play, his voice lines and lore are some of the best. Character design is also really damn good
I love how Ramrattra is the first Null Sector character and yet he is actually kinda polite in some of these voicelines
"From one engineer to another, why a ball?"
"A wheel would fall over."
Fucking priceless.
I like how ramattra will throw shade toward the human characters but still maintains the “you respect me, I respect you even if I don’t like you”
I wonder how a Zarya and Ramattra interaction would be like.
Or a Roadhog and Ramattra interaction. Y’know considering that the reason why Australia is an apocalyptic wasteland was because him and multiple other Australians destroyed an omnium (an enormous factory that makes omnics) and basically blew up like a continent wide nuke

Let us take a moment to appreciate the absolute SHADE Genji deflects back to Ramattra in his interaction voiceline with him. Holy SHIT.
I lost hope when kiriko was released but damn, they hit the mark with Ramattra
Personally, I like his interactions with Pharah the most. It’s clear she’s profiling him because he’s an Omnic, and while yes, he is leading an extremist group, he’s still polite with the people he works with. Deep down, I know he would still like to find and make peace with humans. However, it’s people like Pharah that make it difficult with their assumptions, she just isn’t the ones who are violent about it. At least without being given an OKAY. Extremist do what they do when they’re pushed to the limit, and I think Pharah’s interactions with him are almost like the tip of the iceburg with Null Sector as a whole.
Ram is genuinely my favorite character, and that's saying a lot considering I'm a doom onetrick
His interactions between Zenyatta reminds me of Hanzo and Gengi, in a sense where one is bitter with their life while the other trying to make sense of their life.
Commenting this on every rammatra interactions vid because I'm a Dva simp but it's nice to see her completely serious for a change since Ramattra is the first character that she actually has conflict with
I hate dva’s voice. Everything else is fine but her voice and attitude make her seem like a spoiled brat, even when she isn’t

Damn the “I’m Sorry brother” voice line when he eliminates zenyata is actually kinda sad 5:29
I personally love the little human elements they add to his speech, such as that sigh he makes when talking with Zen, though he wouldn't even need to breath or anything like that.
4:14 I know Zenyatta has multiple answers but my favorite from him is “I was a lifeguard at a water park”
I don’t know why but now I’m picturing it XD
I honestly like his overall design and voice, very intimidating when he needs to be, but also very polite when he also needs to be
The vocal fry and emotion in "I had no quarrel with you.
3:57 this hits hard
Sigmas and ramattras VA’s have to be some of the best I’ve ever heard in a game or even in media as a whole…definitely my favorites in the game…so much emotion and character is backed up intro those voices…

6:31 The emotion and the technological advance difference perfects the line.
Damn, the pain in his voice when he kills Orisa hits hard.
"I truly had no quarrel with you, I'm sorry."
It's really interesting to hear Ramattra's kill interactions with other omnics
He is obviously sorry to kill his brother Zenyatta, and wishes he was on his side
He doesn't try to convince Bastion though. Perhaps he thinks Bastion is too naive or kind (In it's own robo-killing way) to actually go against humans
Out of all omnics i think he hates Echo the most. While Zenyatta is very spiritual and kind, he is very unlike an average human. But Echo is happy to copy anyone and their behaviour, including humans. I think Ramattra sees this as her weakness
It's interesting what he sympathizes with Orisa, considering her love for humans.
