Terminal 8 is the crown jewel? Ha! Don't let Delta hear you say that. Terminal 4 has always been the backbone of JFK, and is the only terminal with direct indoor access to the AirTrain as well as the home of the ATC tower.
Yeah, I've been around a while, too. I sometimes wonder if folks at JFK have trouble counting. When I first moved to NYC, JFK had ten terminals, numbered 1-9 (there were two separate fours--east and west). When all these latest renovations are completed, there will be five terminals, numbered 1-8 (viz., 1, 4, 5, 6, and 8).
"In the heart of New York City" eh?.... This is lazy and inaccurate copy. JFK is the main international airport for the NYC area, but it's FAR from the heart of the city. FAR indeed.
Haha, my bad! I guess I got a little carried away with the "heart of the city" description. Loved living in NYC for a bit and that airport is getting an awesome upgrade. Thanks for keeping me in check! Lesson learned: don't mess with New Yorkers and their airport geography! Kinda like SFO and LAX being in the heart of their respective cities I guess.
@@UltimateMegaBuilds Wow, an actual considered response 😮 I dof my cap to you, good human🌻 Yes, let's not give anyone the expectation that it will take less than 90 minutes to get to Manhattan from JFK😜
@@AaronR-C OK, now it's my turn to get my Irish dander up. If it takes you 90 minutes to get from Manhattan to JFK, then you're doing something terribly wrong. Jump on the LIRR to Jamaica--that's about 25 minutes. Get yourself over to the AirTrain--that's a 5-minute walk, tops. Then take the AirTrain to your terminal--another 15 minutes tops. There--I've just cut your travel time in half. You're welcome.

Hope for future of air transportation
I from Sri Lanka
Thanks for watching! The future of air transportation definitely holds a lot of exciting possibilities.
23 gates? You sure? I keep hearing it’s 16 gates. Hope you’re right. Over at terminal 6 they’re spending tons of money for 10 lousy gates.
They need to fix the roads in and out of that airport and have needed to for many decades
It's going to be a world away from the way it looked when I worked there for 10 years. (74-84).

Well, its not in the "heart of New York City"... its in South Queens, bordering Nassau County
19 billion dollars when there are homeless ppl every where??!!
One third of the way into the video and it hasn’t told me anything

What about all the crime at JFK????
It's only a problem when you're in town. Otherwise, crime rates are quite low.
I highly doubt American airports will go to the extent of improving the Passover exercise like in airport in Asia or southeast Asia
But the thumbnail is La Guardia?
We've been experimenting a bit on thumbnails to grab your attention. Good catch! The video is all about JFK though.
