@@greenphoenix687 They were so tight I remember laying on the bed and using pliers to grab the zipper to zip them up. We were all thin and magical then.
Tank Reacts Yeah dude. I just clicked subscribe. If you don’t do the rest of this song, I’m gonna have to click that button one more time! How can you possibly get that look on your face when Jimmy gets out the violin bow and not watch the rest of it? Sacrilege! 😱
I'm forever enthralled with Zeppelin. That said, one might also have the view that Rush grabbed the baton from Zeppelin and ran on further with it. (Personally I don't think the two bands are all that stylistically similar, ultimately, although they share similar roots.)
Well, using that logic, Vanilla Fudge was better than L.Zep. Zep was their opening band in late 1967-68. Before Zep 1 came out. Bonham looked up to drummer Vinny Appice. Zep would say they learned a lot opening for Vanilla Fudge and Spirit. In fact, Jimmy Page got sued for stealing the intro to Staiway, from Sprit. So just because Zep were influenced and learned much from those bands, since those two bands came earlier, does that make them better. I'm not saying RUSH is better, but its really dumb logic. We know that the first 4 albums from ZEP, that they're many songs that they plagerized, without giving credit to the original artists... that's a HUGE stain on their legacy.
I need to reply to your "tight jeans" reaction. All the guys were doing it. It was a 70's thing. Look at some vintage photos. Some reactors ignore it and others have a meltdown. I find it irritating. And rather childish. Besides, none of you repulsed guys minded when chicks' were doing it with cleveage. 🤔 Hypocritical much? 😏
The look on your face was hilarious, when the genius Jimmy Page whips out his bow. Unfortunately this not the whole performance, you really need to watch the 27 minutes long masterpiece. There is a lot of frontman in band that tries to emulate style and voice of Robert Plant, but only one problem. There is only one Robert Plant. When you were talking about the other three member that the camera is focusing on, it's because the other two Jones, Bonham is focusing on the maestro Jimmy page he conducts where they are going next.
I believe Page had a psychological problem, we all do, with regard to his mother, she spoiled him, and got him music lessons as an introverted child, i’m not pointing an accusation at him but that can mess with your head. our parents all mess with our heads.
The bass guitar and the drummer are the heartbeat of any band. They dictate what happens and at what speed. The lead guitar and singer get the props, but the rhythm section is what gets it done.
Plant's voice had more soul, grit and power. Geddy's voice is all about clean purity, no distortion at all. It's a blues singer vs. an opera singer. Take your pick. I know mine.
I'm afraid someone has had the unmitigated gall to edit one of the best performances ever! I saw a very young kid sulking because a song he was supposedly reacting to was 6 mins long. He actually sulked. I'm noticing a lot of reactors jumping on LZ band wagon. But we fans from back then are very protective of our gods. So don't mess with LZ!!!!!
The importance of John Bonham cannot be overstated enough. His time and feel was ever impeccable and hugely important. Without it there never would’ve been Led Zeppelin. I know it was Jimmy’s brainchild but…the rhythm section was entirely it’s own entity.
I was there, there were no children in audience, this is my generation, not your fake music your generation listening to i was there, screw rush no comparison
Do not ever criticize them if you wanna have a successful channel. I doubt I'll watch you again. Two strikes: Robert's pants and editing out 17 mins of magic✌️
My OCD will not rest until you hear the rest of this song. You think Jimmy's fingers were flying at the start? You ain't seen nothing yet my friend. By the way you reacted to them live a week ago for Since I've Been LovingYou. Ha, that's my OCD talking.
I saw LZ for the 1st time in 73. When Page grabbed his bow I said to myself WTF is he doing. Then my jaw hit the floor just like yours did. I saw them in 75 and 77 in Detroit. I knew what was coming but I was still amazed by him. I also love when Bonzo and Jones look at each other. They are saying that they cant keep up with Page
I remember when the LP first came out. It was a double album and the first side of the second disc was just this song "Dazed and Confused" which went for I think 26.53 minutes.
LZ is a deep, deep rabbit hole! Once you dive down into it, you never come out again. Check out Bonham's drum solo...Moby Dick.... but make sure you got the full 15 minute version.
Haha! That is so funny! Two things: the 70’s Rock Stars were all about their tight trousers! Second: the LADIES love this about Robert’s fashion choices! When I watch reactions where ladies are reacting....dude, it gets “emotional” for these dear ladies! I’m telling you! They get all flustered and whatnot, start shifting around in their seat and blushing. It’s a beautiful thing, brother. Props to Mr. Plant! Respect a brother!
Jimmy Page. NO OTHER GUITAR PLAYER CAN EVER MATCH HIM. N-O O-N-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is a pure musical GENIUS. Eric Clapton, Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc CANNOT EVER MATCH JIMMY PAGE's GENIUS. RUSH CANNOT MATCH HIS GENIUS EITHER!!! This performance is a masterpiece done by 4 genius musicians. All other bands suck compared to them. Watch the 30 minute version of Dazed and Confused from "The song remains the same". It's the BEST version of this.
Tight pants both men and women were part of the deal in late 60s/70s. Tight pants were definitely part of Robert's deal. I dont think anyone in that audience was offended :)
advice: do not affirm about what you do not know, that of the jimmy pants is part of what he was as an image, he was more than a jazz rock singer, he was a sexual symbol not the simple rocker, another tip, another tip, the led zeppelin philosophy was based on many occult and spiritual things, to understand the group as such you should know this. And one last tip, if you are going to make a good reaction do not cut it in the best part.
This IS Jimmy Page's "Magnum Opus", and Reactors stop around the halfway mark, through the song.? MANY more guitar solos, just ahead. Maybe it's a copyright, thing. For FULL live Concert, if interested, "The Song Remains the Same" DVD, watch it!!
No. I think these kids aren't used to songs longer than 4 minutes. It's sad really. One kid kept calling the tambourine a "tangerine" 🤦♀️. Over and over again. Lord help me! 🙏🍊
As far as vocal preference, I like plant better personally. But Geddy Lee, the Bassist/Synth/vocalist for Rush would probably tell you the same. He and the other members of rush were fans of and inspired by Zeppelin.
yessir i did the studio track but the lives are requested and honestly i wanted to see them live lol im going to end up doing the live of a few songs ive reacted too so i guess i should put review instead of reaction
Geddy Lee from Rush is considered one of the worst vocalists in rock lol. His voice is probably one of the main reasons they weren't very popular during the time. Robert Plant on the other hand is considered one of the greatest vocalists and frontmen in rock history.
Down the led zeppelin rabbit hole.. I grew up in this era. Like fillet mignon of music. No lip synch no auto tune. Just amazing talent writers singers combos. Yeah, this is not the full song by far and unfortunately the end is the best part. :( And sadly the drummer goes off in the last 30 seconds of the song. So we should only need 20 up votes! LOL. See, what you could do is do this song in 2 or 3 parts. There is a shorter version of this song from 1968 I think that one is only about 12 minutes.

By far Led Zeppelin, best band musicians in the rock history,no doubt man...
Rush were Led Zeppelin fans before they formed their own band.
so, for me, Led Zep is the original and best.

Yup. As others have pointed out there's 15-20 more minutes to this performance. It cuts out at the worst time too.

so perfectly described
Page was a genius, the rest of them were brilliant but Page just superhuman
plus Page was a sex god for us teen girls, sadly he was prodding girls even younger than us, but his talent is pure.

You don't get a better one than Jones/Bonham.
Robert Plant's vocals hands down. To my ears he has my favorite singing voice.
Plant's voice had more soul, grit and power. Geddy's voice is all about clean purity, no distortion at all. It's a blues singer vs. an opera singer. Take your pick. I know mine.
Robert Plant definitely. Rush idolized Led Zeppelin
My vote goes to Mr Plant as he can sing anything. From rockabilly to Rock
“whole lotta live” from the same concert!
