Homemade 20 Tonne Hydraulic Press
Вставка

- In this video we build a 20 Tonne Shop Press from scratch using a hydraulic bottle jack and steel from a local steel supplier. This DIY project idea came to be when we realized that the rear axle seal in the Jeep Grand Cherokee was leaking differential fluid, and in order to replace it, a new wheel bearing needed to be pressed on. Instead of paying double the price for an already built press, or getting a local shop to do the work, we decided to just build our own. Enjoy the video! Please like, share, and subscribe :)

Looking good!
Somehow I don't trust the MIG for welding parts under intense stresses. I prefer and trust more the arc welding in those cases. I prefer the MIG against the metal sheets though. Also, I noticed a little duscontinue in the welding sound. Could it be because of not amps or the slow wire speed?
When I look at the weld ... too little amphere. Drillining a bigger hole in one step is a bad idea. Better you beginn with a smaller driller and in steps to the finaly diameter. When i watch your video sometimes i think to much beer (Joke, you can never drink enough beer). But nice work and funny Video.

Thank you! We know our methods are not the best, but it's all about having fun with us :)

Love the videos and channel! I have a gen 1 mps myself. When will we see more of your mps build?
Thanks for the kind words! We've just been busy with other things, but we plan on getting much more Mazdaspeed/MPS content out in the near future :)
@@WannabeTuners sounds good! Love seeing this kind of work done at home!

what section are those bars?
6inch C-channel and the plates are 1x4" flat bar
Use grade 8 hardware.. use dishsoap for lubricating drill bit... learn to sharpen drill bits with a grinder... no need to toss dull bits. Learn how to prep metal for welding.. learn how to weld. Finally.. buy lots of insurance...
Sure, if you're looking to do things the right way... 😁
