That Works burger looks legit! Just got home from the road and was unplugged for a week-and-a-half, so I was very excited to see this video up. On to part 2!
Even though I didn’t make my final goal it was a great experience and I’m already looking forward to the next step forward. Thanks for following along again it’s much appreciated!
Great part one. The campsite for day 2 is pretty awesome. The distance hiking has been pulling on me also I was prepping for a thru hike in 2019 but life had other plans for us. It's still on my mind but on the back burner for the moment. Right now I'm hoping to do the loyal sock finally in the fall.
After being home for a while after this hike I want to go back more and more. I hope to do longer hikes in the future! That whole east connector trail system heading to the north part of Quehanna trail is delightful. Part two will show the rest of it! I have more time now to go for these longer distance trips so you never know what the future holds! But until then If you get to do a longer trip this year the LT is a great pick! Thanks for checking out the video!
Amazing man, I have heard about this proposed super loop myself. You must really have some incredible stamina and endurance. Ironically i just got home from a 7 day road trip through the Wilds, seeing many many sights. Such beautiful country out there, looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey brother!
Thank you! I really enjoyed this experience and look forward to more like it. For me going out for longer periods of time has been more of a mental preparation than physical. Too bad you didn't drive by me during the 6-mile road walk I had I could've used a lift! Thanks for coming along!
So glad I started following you through the Zolna meet up and I see alot of you all are here in the comments! I really appreciate you take the time to you reply to comments (like Tony from Random) ! Wish you the best and thank you for all the work that goes into your videos 😊
@@Kitchenwitch1885 Hello there! I’m happy you found my channel and appreciate those kind words. I’m very much looking forward to sharing more adventures and I’m glad you’ll be coming along!☺️
What an awesome trail route! I hope it gets more popular and more people hike it! Definitely a great route for your first long distance trip with a resupply. Awesome part one, looking forward to part two. 👍
Watching you on the CT last year really inspired me. I’d like to be able to accomplish some trails of that caliber one day. Thanks for coming along, friend! ✌️
Another fantastic video! Can't wait to watch the entire series. I stopped for lunch at that campsite along Mosquito creek during a 3 day trip last Winter and also camped there with my wife a few years back. Perhaps a top 5 campsite in all of PA.
That eastern connector trail system with all its little side trails was delightful! And to have that campsite there just makes it that much better. Thanks for following along and thanks for the comment!
@@je16345 Thank you, this route has a lot of great memories to be had, I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I definitely look forward to revisiting the trails out there.
Really enjoyed this, love your planning means nothing and everything quote I’ll have to remember that. Those early spring 80 degree days with no leaf cover can be brutal, thanks for the video would love to plan something with you here in the future (just not 10 days😅) cya for part 2!
Only ticks I ran into was during a bushwhack through Hammersly Wild Area. Man that place is beautiful but it was deep in there. A rattle snake will be in part two. I’m going back to that camp one day. The whole east connector trail system of Quehanna Trail was a treat! Thanks again!
Thanks for the shout out! I just got back from thru-hiking 76 miles on the Foothills trail in the Carolinas. We have the PA Wilds trail on our schedule later this year, so I can’t wait to see more of your trip report in the next video
You're welcome! I always find your reviews and trip reports helpful! This route has some really nice sections that I'm sure you'll enjoy it was my first taste of a long-distance trip and I can't wait for more! Looking forward to your foothills trail! Welcome home!
Awesome to see you attempting something this long! I always enjoy your videos very much. Another longer trail you could shoot for is the PA section of the NCT/North Country Trail. I have been thinking about attempting a section of it from the NY/PA line down to Clarion/I80. The Allegheny National Forest is beautiful and less rocky than most places in PA. Thank you for making these videos. I hope to run into you someday on trail.
Thanks for the kind words! I’ve had my eye on that NCT section in Allegheny National for a while now. I’ll make it out there one day! I’ll keep an eye out for you on the trail!😉
a really nice beginning to a great adventure. I envy you , I would so love to be able to get out and just go. unfortunately, health and responsibilities won't really allow me to do that but I'm only 62 and I'm not giving up yet. Dwayne
Dwayne, thanks for coming back to check out this video! I understand not everyone is able to get out as much so I’m very grateful. Not giving up is important in life because you never know what’s around the corner! Thanks for the comment!
Looks like you had a nice solo hike for part one. I have not camped out by myself yet. I watched the whole thing on my big screen. We met briefly at the meetup on Sunday towards the end. Hope all is well. 👍76
Hi Craig! Glad I got to meet you before I left. Thanks for checking out the video! I made sure to add you to my evening line up for entertainment so I’ll be looking forward to watching (and catching up on) your adventures!
That was a great first two days! Eating good, and what a great camp on day two! I was wondering if camping near a creek named after mosquitoes was a good idea? Seems good to me. A failure to plan is a plan to fail. Thanks for sharing!
It was a really fun trip, I can’t wait to get back out on a long hike. Mosquito Creek was beautiful and in early May it was pretty bug free. That was one of the best sections of the route. Thanks, hope to see you out on the trail one day!
Hey thanks! Yes, the main pouch was beef. Then after that hydrates, you add the other that had onion, tomato, and cheese if I remember correctly. It was a nice treat that you usually get on a hike.

Love Packit Gourmet meals! Love seeing food options everyone uses on the trail. Good stuff. Don’t see much content on PA trails other than the AT!
And I love their cold soak options! Good ingredients and super tasty. Thanks, Jason!
Thank you. Cliff sent me.

100% big foot like we talked about. We’re fine. We’re fine lol
Yeah out there alone I can’t help but think about that sometimes..😬😅
Dude this is awesome. Was the burger like a mountain house meal where you add hot water and let it reconstitute?

I'm going to watch part 2 tomorrow w a cup of coffee and a quiet house.
