Every button works but the right analog stick in that specific game . Is is supp to work out the box or anything else I need to change?
Super late to reply to this, but ape escape doesn't really use the right stick. I remember this as a kid. You gotta use the D-pad to turn the camera, it's just the game controller layout, not your device. Unless I'm missing some other use the right stick had
@@lampario2862Hey appreciate your reply - I did end up figuring this out though! It was something in the settings and needing to change it to Dualshock for controller. That got it working. I played this game as a kid as well, you do actually have to use the right joy stick or it's unplayable. It's the "action" button, if that makes sense. Like when he's holding the sword, you would tilt the joy stick to hit. Or when he's holding the net - or if you wanted to use that one helicopter gadget, you'd do circles with the right joystick. It was really one of the only games around that time that utilized the right joystick like that.

@@-edsense-rivera3716 it depends on what consoles you want to play. If you want to play gameboy and gameboy color, rgb30 has the best screen for that. If you want to run ps1 games and play more advanced stuff, I would probably go rg353v, or even the rg405 for n64/dreamcast. If you have the budget, my favorite handheld so far has been the retroid pocket 4 pro.
They do come pre-loaded. Honestly if you just want to play retro gameboy/gameboy advance your better off with Miyoo Mini +. It's cheaper, slightly smaller, same screen size and performance will be the same too. It does have a different UI though, so if that's important you could do the RG353VS.
There are 2 SD cards. One is OS only, the other is all the games. If you remove only the OS SD card, it will boot in Android and you still have access to all games
I luckily managed to get mine 2nd hand for 45$. Seller's issue was he doesn't now how to boot back to Linux and he thought it was broken. I thought him how to but he just doesn't care about it anymore and sold it to me. It's almost the same price as more powerful handhelds RP2s which is amazing(it's android though) so I can't recommend it either unless it went on sale and you have some vouchers or the price went down because it's becoming older and older and you like the form factor or got it 2nd hand with no issue.
It's too big, and their goal of making an ergonomic shape makes it very uncomfortable for many users. It's over engineered and kind of ugly. Also the hall effect sticks they used aren't very good, sadly. They turn poorly. I just wanted something smaller. Keep in mind that the price is different if you purchase through Aliexpress instead of direct from Anbernic. I paid $120 for my RG353V and it included 128gb worth of stuff. The cheapest RG405V you're going to find is like $160 with 64gb. The only thing the RG405V has over the RG353 is it's ability to run Gamecube/PS2 games... That's it. And it runs them very poorly. So why wouldn't you get the more portable, comfortable, and affordable option? Neither run Saturn games well either. I'd personally wait for a more powerful RG353V to come out in the future and skip the 405V completely. Or just get a 353V now if you want something compact and you don't care about the more modern consoles. Which wouldn't be very enjoyable on the RG405V anyhow.

I bought a Nintendo DSI for $50 and put twilight menu on it which has been great. Been looking at this for a while but finding it hard to find the point if I have the twilight menu? Can someone help me out?
miyoo mini plus all the firmware upgrade links are corrupt i had to return
I am surprised to not hear a single negative word about both devices, only a lot of praise. Are they just perfect for what they are?
Please do a custom OS comparison along with where you get them and basic setup for them all! Thank you!
Bought the vs and swapped the as card to newer and it stopped working completely
Would a 353VS still worth it for 65€?
I bought the VS, does anyone know what the 2nd sd card that comes in the box is for?
I bought one just waiting for it to come but I think it’s just extra maybe you can download other games to play on it but I’m not to sure
On my one the save disappears if you quit the game
I was gonna get the 353v but now I think i’ll get the vs because I don’t want to spend so much time tinkering with android when I just want to play games.
Oh dang, this video was a face-reveal for me haha!
Hopefully I didn't scare you off
Great review 👍, appreciate your honest reviews, letting us know what console games does and does not work.
I really just want to play the old Pokémon games. Which one would be the best for me?
@@kahunalos8105 both can play all gameboy and gameboy advance pokemon games with nonissue
I have the 353v and ape escape 1 was the first thing I added onto it - when I booted it up, the right analog stick wasn't being read still? Is there something additional I need to do in the settings?
I have a 351V but what would be a good solid upgrade ? Mainly cause the chipset is obviously dated on the 351 V
405V would be an upgrade, or the retroid pocket 4/4 pro
Can Rg353v run dreamcast well???
Yeah.
is it possible to get android operating system for the 353vs?
I had a question and I didn't have to ask it. Because I seen it with my own eyes.. When the games booted up on the hand helds. I seen Alien VS predator on your RG353VS. Then, in the background, you had it in the arcade, too. So I can tell you like that game.. That was my question: Was that game on the system...😂 I'm gonna order it now... Thanks on the review! 💯
AVP is one the best beat em' ups released!
@@Restalgia Right! It is hard to find! That's one of the main reasons why I bought it yesterday! I was like what a coincidence... It's playing on the little screen now..😂
hopefully you’re still replying to comments but what do you think i should buy? the rg353v, the rg353vs, or the rg35XX plus? which is the best out of the three?
Really depends on what you are after in terms of performance. The rg35xx H is good, but their new rg556 is the best one they have at the moment. I recently did a review of that as well
@@Restalgia do you think i should get one of those or go for one of the more portable handheld ones? (such as the ones i listed) and out of the ones i listed which is best when considering performance and compatibility? for example is the new pro as comparable as the rg353V. i’m sorry for all the questions but i want one really bad, and i was hoping you’d be able to help me narrow down which one i want.
@@Restalgia the plus has more battery life (8hours compared to 6) but is it BETTER than the 353v?
Would pokemon ultra sun work well?
I do not know what to get? Should i get a dsi? I want to animate flipnote but i also want Android.
Can we run a gamecube on it ?
Nope
How do these devices manage with the little yellow buttons on the n64 games?
You map the buttons to the second analog stick. C-UP woukd be up direction on the stick
@@Restalgia I see...thanks!!!
But how well do these play Saturn titles?
Not well. Id avoid them if you are looking for a quality Saturn experience
What would be the best handheld for running Dreamcast, Saturn, PS1 & N64 games?
Based on reviews you are looking at the Retroid pocket 3+ or the 2s, maybe the 2+@@phex911
@@artax33thank you
Which one do you recommend between the anbernic rg353v, rg35xx plus, and powkiddy rgb30?
Its alittle overwhelming because there are some many to choose from
@@-edsense-rivera3716 it depends on what consoles you want to play.
I just want something to play Pokémon games. Which one would you recommend / do they come with the games already?
They do come pre-loaded. Honestly if you just want to play retro gameboy/gameboy advance your better off with Miyoo Mini +. It's cheaper, slightly smaller, same screen size and performance will be the same too. It does have a different UI though, so if that's important you could do the RG353VS.
Pokemon are broken cant save games in mine its a paper weight now.
So if you take out the SIM card you can still access the games through the android side of the system? Can someone explain more for me please?
There are 2 SD cards. One is OS only, the other is all the games. If you remove only the OS SD card, it will boot in Android and you still have access to all games
@@Restalgia awesome! Thank you. Another question what Tomb Raider games are on here?
Why cant i save games though? Have to start games over every time you play. Wtf is that
So do these devices come with all games or does an extra card need to be bought?
It comes with it in the packaging
I luckily managed to get mine 2nd hand for 45$. Seller's issue was he doesn't now how to boot back to Linux and he thought it was broken. I thought him how to but he just doesn't care about it anymore and sold it to me. It's almost the same price as more powerful handhelds RP2s which is amazing(it's android though) so I can't recommend it either unless it went on sale and you have some vouchers or the price went down because it's becoming older and older and you like the form factor or got it 2nd hand with no issue.
Can you play online games like LoL, Overwatch 2, Paladins?
Is this a serious question?

I wanted to buy a Miyoo Mini Plus but I really need one playing not only PS1 but N64 games. Do you recomment this one better then?
No, n64 will run but it struggles with many common games. You would be better off with RG405M which runs n64 games much better
@@Restalgia I really appreciate your comment, I'm a total ignorant of these handhelds consoles. Thank you
Why wouldn't you buy the RG405V instead?
The 405v is 2$ US cheaper then the RG353V and has a octa core @ higher clock speed, 4gb ram, a 5500mah battery, 4" screen
This one is smaller so fits better in the pocket I guess
@@purrpocalypse The 405v has a 4" screen, not 3.5"... Has a Octa core @ 2.0Ghz, not a Quad core @1.8Ghz... Has 4GB of ram, Not 2GB... Has Bluetooth 5.0, Not 4.2, Has a 5500mAh battery, not a 3500mAh.. Has 128GB eMMC built in, not 32GB... Has Android 12, Not 11... Plus a nice Mali G52 GPU!! And Hall Effect sticks are the way too go !! The included cards aren't recommend too use.. And who doesn't wanna run Gamecube, Ps2, Wii and 3DS ! (or those harder too run n64, android, sega titles) .. this thing won't even run a single ps2,gamecube or wii game...
@@MarioMadness1 But it's too big. You're missing the point. Also hall effect sticks are great, but NOT the ones in the 405V - They're bad! Also the Gamecube/Ps2/etc games run really poorly on the 405V, making it not worth the extra money. They will lag and it won't be fun. You're much better off waiting for a new version in 1-2 years instead of purchasing it.
Wait did you say you cant play god of war on this? Why is that?
Same os as the Anbernic RG arc D
Can u play pubg g on the android side??
So these do come with multiple games right?
Yes
Great video buddy, nice to see that handsome face!
I just picked up the 353vs for $28 +$6 shipping. I'm pretty stoked I got such a good deal.
Where did you buy it . I see it's 80 USD

I can’t use touch in android 😢
Ca. U play n64 games stock or do that require some tweaking/ modding on your part ?

353V does android games as well, correct? Would rocket league sideswipe work on it? The game natively supports controller inputs. If this game worked on the 353v would be enough for me to buy aside from everything else it can do
I own a 353v and it does not come with google play store on the console. There's a video from retro game corps. that shows a way to install it though If you want to take a look at it.
It’s not powerful enough to run rocket league sideswipe.
Only ever use arkOs so no touch screen was the right move.
I’d like to see just one person play a sports game, like QBClub or Madden. Sounds like a lot of tinkering needed to get games to run nicely without crashing.
Are the games free when you buy this device ?
Games come preloaded on the SD card
Does either have original nes games?
Does the vs come with android?
No
Is there a similar machine for my 70 year old dad? Larger screen

Can anyone help me get more systems amd roms on my 353p??
Can run epsxe in android mode?
Yup bro
What is the name of the game at 4:00?? Remember playing as a kid but can't remember the name
Adventure island 2 for NES
Would you say this is better or the retroid pocket 3+?
Did you watch the video because I'm guessing not? This doesn't do PS2 at all like he said in the video. The RP3+ can do a number of PS2 games pretty good.
Retroid pocket 3+ is a more powerful soc
I'm still waiting for Anbernic to do a collaboration with Shawn Long to bring out the RGT85 handheld.
if i wasn't in the army now and was making decent money I'd buy the transparent purple 353v asap
it looks so cool
hi, when you Play a game. and you are for example level 30. is it possible to save this level 30 and Play later further? Or do you always need to Play from the start.?
