As for my top handhelds, I don't have many but my picks would be the Miyoo Mini as well and the Anbernic RG40XXH. I choose the latter because of the big screen and form factor that's really comfortable for me for all the games I want to play.
I dunno if you've heard about my favorite handheld it's kind of obscure, but I think it is called the POW-KITTY!!! V90. It players everything I need it to on the go and it has a flip form so it never needs a case which makes it super pocketable. You should check it out if you haven't already.
With most of the top 5 being ones that just came out this year, makes me think this list will change next year, and number one is the only one that will be consistent. Just shows how intense and quickly technology inproves, despite also quality getting worse. But i digress. Plus, I cant complain because i own 2 of the 5 you mentioned.
@christianhaines9150 It is so small I can take it with me everywhere. My hands are more likely to cramp on the bigger MM+ for some strange reason. I can play certain games one handed. Those are the 3 reasons I prefer the 2.8" original. Obviously, Onion OS on both of them is great. 3rd party protection is a must. I have a silicone skin that fits snuggly and I still squeeze it into the supplied case.
What i don't really get about the SNES scaling is that we all used 4:3 TVs back in the day - that is, the "accurate" scaling would be to have non-square pixels on a 4:3 display, rather than a closer to square screen, no?
Those 4:3 sets were also analog cathode ray tube sets that worked fundamentally differently than modern liquid crystal displays or active matrix organic light emitting diode displays. Each pixel from the source signal didn't have to try to match up 1:1 with a pixel that the screen was capable of displaying like they do today. They all sort of smushed and blended into each other in a way that introduced plenty of its own artifacts, but not the same kind of artifacts you get from improperly scaling a digital signal. If you've got a lot of pixel density to work with and/or a lot of processing power to apply shader effects, you can try to replicate that analog look to greater or lesser success, but when you're dealing with a cheap LCD screen and just enough processing power to do the basic emulation work but not much more, integer scaling and native aspect ratio is the way, because you're getting big chunky pixels either way, but at least they're ACCURATE big chunky pixels.
Wow love your selection mine is everyone you have except the DMG any miyoo plus I would add the trimui smart pro and the rg40H as mine great video thanks for sharing 😊

As always :)
Where can I buy the ss card with the onion os like yours?
Your favorite was a surprise for sure! I prefer the Plus because the mini feels too cramped and tiny for my meaty paws
Where is the Vertikal King rg406v???
RG 406V is my number 1. I suspect Dweeb is sadly letting it collect dust after he got his Ayaneo Pocket DMG :[
The 406v is amazing, but the Pocket DMG stole the crown 👑
That pre-built Miyoo Mini and MM+ Onion OS Micro SD card from Litnxt is the bomb. I would definitely recommend it with a MM or MM+ to a beginner. They won't have to fook around setting things up and collecting ROM collections. Plus it has the Tech Dweeb theme!
"It just works." - Todd Howard (But really, it does work!)
Where can I find your sweater?
Hello I wanted to ask if I wanted something larger than miyoo mini+ with all the awesome of onion os and Bluetooth earbuds support - does such a device exist?
I think the RG40XX-V with Knulli would fit your needs.
@@TechDweeb Thank you ! Where is a good place to grab it with it all nicely packaged? I bought the MM+ off your code the last time .
I’ve been seriously considering the Retroid Pocket 2S.
It’s dope
@ I’m torn between that and the ANBERNIC RG405M.
@@Rockovissi i was too, went eith the RG405M since it was on sale. Price is the same as RP2S metal when you consider shipping from retroid is a bit more expensive.
It's AMAZING for the price. If I could have had 6 devices on this list, that would have been the 6th. The RP2s is probably the best 'one size fits all' recommendation for anyone.
@@TechDweeb Cool! Does the RG405M have built-in rumble support? Their site says vibration but I haven’t seen anyone ever talk about it.
what is that price on the ayeno pocket dmg 😃 what a jump scare
Ha!
Your #1 is also my #1. Still don't regret buying it. I want the other colours too and an minor updated hardware. 😁
I bought a 406V a few weeks ago thanks to you. I hope you're happy.
The 406V is amazing. Definitely the best vertical you can get for sub $200
@@TechDweeb Sweet! It's my first handheld. I've built RetroPie systems, and MAME cabinets, so I'm excited to have something portable.
I still have my one and only rg351p. Still deciding on which handheld to level up to. Specifically for Android gaming. I already have a good enough PC for PC gaming.
The only one Ive had is Odin Lite. These are cool but its hard for me to rationalize purchasing more of the same thing
I love my anbernic 406v for streaming pc games to it, can the Rp5 do the same thing? Cause I may grab it for what it is. Very nice screen. I’m impressed with the 406v’s screen. I don’t know if there’s anything special about it but the colors are so rich on it. Playing 80’s overdrive for example. The level looked alive on the 406v I don’t recall being that impressed by the steam deck. Idk how anbernic can do it 🤯
My favorite is the RG ARC
