Croatia mourns death of popular singer Oliver Dragojevic

(31 Jul 2018) Croatia is mourning the death of popular pop singer Oliver Dragojevic who was also loved throughout the former Yugoslavia for his romantic songs celebrating love and the Adriatic Sea.
The government has declared Tuesday a national day of mourning while commemorating events are being held in Split, on the Adriatic coast.
Many people cried during a somber gathering attended by Croatia's top officials at the Split theatre.
The crowd stood up and sang one of Dragojevic's songs and applauded for several minutes.
Later in the day, thousands are expected to bid farewell as Dragojevic's body leaves on a boat for a burial Wednesday at his native island of Korcula.
Dragojevic has remained popular in the former Yugoslavia even after the country broke up in a war in the 1990s.

Severina - Sramota Splita i Hrvatske, došla je svojim prisustvom pokvariti oproštaj od legende i ponosa Splita i Hrvatske. Kad se sjetimo kakav je Oliver imao odnos prema zemlji koja nam čitavo stoljeće nanosi zlo, a neprestano ga planira,i kakav je njezin odnos prema toj istoj zemlji, ona ni po čemu nije smjela biti ovdje niti po ičemu tu pripada. Osiguranje ju je trebalo udaljiti čim se pojavila.
