I’ve watched many of steel guitar players!!! And even played a little myself!! But I’d have to say, David is the best I’ve ever seen !! Thanks David!!!👍🤠
Unbelievably wonderful... I have grown up on country music, and continue to enjoy sound pedal steel playing for over 60 years, and you are as great as it gets. Excellent!
Hi, David!! My very good friend. Davey, it doesn't matter what bat they put into your hands, you always hit it out of the park. Your pickin' just touches me way down, deep in my soul. You are an inspiration to so many people. If it is true our that our true worth in this world is measured by the number of friends we have, then you, my friend, are a very wealthy man, indeed. The world is a better place for having you on it. still your Number One Fan, Davey, Sacramento Chuck
Dave is one of the best pedal steel musicians playing today. It really is a treat to listen to his playing and arrangements. Keep it up Dave. Absolutely love it.
This was Tremendously, and Transcendently Beautiful. I love when I can feel the music in my soul, and this does it for me every time I listen to it again and again. If you will. Please play (He stopped loving her today) by George Jones, but please use your own style, instead of the generic version that everybody else plays. Thank you for making my day. God Bless you Dave.
David. "Still" amazed to listen to the performance. It will be 6 years, on the 25th Oct 2018, I got Frank. Mark did a real nice job servicing it. Levers are real positive and action, is perfect. Just need to learn to play it properly. J.R.
Dave you are absolutely amazing on the steel guitar. I've played guitar for over 50 years now and you have one of the most deep reaching heartfelt styles in country music. Best wishes to you and your family.
Just stumbled upon your PSG music here and oh man you are a wonderful player. I'm from the U.S. and a fan of real country music and I hope you can find more older real country from 70s and 80s that was popular here in the U.S. to play and upload here for us. Your friend that gave you the Franklin is a great fellow as well, what a friend he's got to be. Anyway, please keep finding new songs and uploading them here for us, what a joy they are to listen to. Your new fan from Mississippi, Andre'
Just enjoying another fix of this sweet music. David, the time and effort you spend on this channel is truly awesome and is, I'm sure, appreciated by all of us that enjoy your work.......or pleasure as the case may be! Thanks a lot, man.
Playing that instrument with all that gear is like flying a plane. It takes a master to operate it and make it all come together and produce beautiful notes
Thanks for the run through of what you are using while you play!!! Another great job...as usual!! You can make any steel sing no doubt about it. Kudos David!!
David that is absolutely beautiful sir and is always such a pleasure to listen to you picken' these beautiful Steel Guitars... ...just can understand how anyone would hit a dislike oh maybe I do ..jealous would be my only reasoning ....haven't heard any uploads from you in ages ..again ....very, very nice David.
Beautiful. Its good to see another video from you. I havent seen one for awhile. I wish my dad was still aroud. He would have loved videos liked this. He passed away in 2005. He would love youtube for sure.
Happy Belated Birthday from Canada, Dave! I am glad Mark sent this to me. Best medicine I could have, a steel guitar and a great friend to share it! This is beautiful! Bet the person who hit dislike is jealous you are playing a Franklin. Shared on my FaceBook too. :) Listened twice.
Very nice job indeed sir! Im a newbie on the steel but grew up around them. If you ever play "ten thousand years" i would love to hear it again. Definately one of the prettiest psg tunes ever. Good day friend, blessings!
You have a very great talent David. I love listening to all your music. Haven' t heard one yet that I haven't liked. You could rock the Grand Olde Opry.
Yes it is. If my memory is right, I believe Hal Rugg (Steel Guitarist) was the first one to use that awesome lick on a Loretta Lynn classic. Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/zlkTE6k8meg/v-deo.html
I can't understand the few comments claiming his Rains has a more full sound.... the Franklin is hands-down more smooth and full- especially on the top end. There is more reverb and/or delay effect on some of the Rains videos.... maybe that's what those people are hearing?
Happy birthday dave!!!!!!!!!! always enjoy your talent. John should give you that franklin so you can bring the best out of it. thanks for posting another recording ,,love it as always
Dave So glad to see you again.....I hope everything is OK ...Really missed you and your sidekick John on youtube.....Your sounding great as always.....Please keep posting more great steel playing.............

Man, I've been playing country music for 40 years and I've NEVER heard anybody that plays more tastefully than you!! Your tone, phrasing, everything is just amazing!! What a wonderful friend to give you such a great present, too!! You're blessed!! Just curious, though...what do you think the differences were between the two pickups? I could hear a difference in the tone, but not much else...is one pickup a little hotter than the other?
Mike Lowe..... Billy Cooper from Orange, VA. is probably the Only other PS player that is equal to David in terms of his clarity of notes, tonality, timing, heart felt presence in the music that you "feel" in your very soul... just a Great player, as is David. Billy was also Bobby Helms' lead guitar player when they recorded "Jingle Bell Rock" in 1957.. and many other songs.
Franklin, Sho Bud, Rains- they all sound terrific when Dave gets his knees under them. Some Hank Thompson (Green Light---Blackboard of my Heart) would be a treat if anyone else on here is old enough to remember them :) Keep up the good work Dave and all the best Roy in Nova Scotia

Thank you David. Very smooth and pacifying music. I liked some of the bends which has similarity to Indian music
I can't understand the few comments claiming his Rains has a more full sound.... the Franklin is hands-down more smooth and full- especially on the top end. There is more reverb and/or delay effect on some of the Rains videos.... maybe that's what those people are hearing?

I think he could take two nails and stretch a string across them; then nail them to a stump log; and David could make it sound awesomely beautiful.
