- As a child, I remember ravishing sizzlers every so often.
It was the closest and also the best. 50 years on, and Kobe's continues to be the only place that serves sizzlers, and they are really the masters at it.
So I thought it was time enough to take you along.

Hey Kunal! Great to see your videos on this channel! Really really miss Kobe's sizzler. People argue about Cafe Royal or Yoko, but I'm still a loyal fan of Kobe's sizzler. Will definitely go there when I get a chance. Also, as a Marian myself, I'd like to see Queen Mary restaurant opposite St. Mary's and you say "yeh apna ilaka hai".

1981-82-83...my wife and I frequented this restaurant. Then I moved abroad. Haven't been back since then. Till today. Thanks for taking us back there.
Went to Kobe only twice in my life, went to Yoko at Santacruz on SV Road many times. Loved the atmosphere with ice cream after. Will definitely go on my next visit
The sizzler originally was started by Touche in Breach Candy. I visited very often, and for evenings we would have the coke float, essentially a dump of vanilla ice-cream in a glass of coke.
Ice Cream Soda for me at Akbarallys Santacruz.. ❤
Touche moved to Pune now. ❤

Sizzler is a complete meal in itself.. Unfortunately you don't get to see enough outlets serving authentic sizzlers, even in the Metro cities..
I remember there used to be a wonderful restaurant named " The Grill" in Thane which served a wide variety of tasty and authentic sizzlers.. Unfortunately due to some reason, it had to be shut down.. really miss it since then..!!
Must have had 100 plus sizzlers here, Beef in Pepper Garlic sauce for me with less vegetables and more fries, they customise everything. WHenever I am in Bombay I go to the opera house Kobe, also used to Zomato the tomato soup which is divine especially the croutons. Always see the tall gentleman there and he recognizes me as he has seen me since I was a kid.
Kunal u order wonderful iconic dishes ,advice u to take like minded few people with u & finish them in toto.
I started Visiting Kobe, from 1981 onwards. The absolutely best sizzlers in Mumbai. I live in Goa❤🎉

Very similar to Kobe there is Miller's 46 in Bangalore , similar menu, ambience is superb
Fond memories for me too, had my first sizzler at Kobe's in Vashi some 20 years back. No other brand has matched their taste and servings.

I saw him through your channel after almost 35+ years. As per my info Kobe was the 1st outlet in famous Chowpaty area. Salam & regards to Najam and his partner.😀😍😃

When we resided at Cumballa Hill we very often frequented Kobe for chicken Sashlik n soups.
Sizzlers are not easily available in every restaurants and kobe is famous for it. I had sizzlers in kobe. Just one suggestion, portion of sizzlers can definitely be taken in separate plate and eaten, instead of main plate and with same set of spoons. It will look more presentable and your crew will also feel good while eating remaining portion. I think this suggestion of eating in separate plate with separate spoon has been given by many other people.
You are absolutely spot on.. I get this feeling each time I see his vlogs..
After messing up the entire dish himself and (that too partly) , I believe he lets his crew have the remaining stuff after the shoot is done.. Absolutely unthinkable and a strict no no.. 😏

Wow one of my fav restaurant❤️❤️❤️ me and my friends used to celebrate our birthdays over there....I used to visit their bandra branch. Satellite and shaslik are fav. And sizzling brownie is a 💋. For sizzlers I will recommend only kobe's.

Kobes is an old favourite for me with fond memories. Sizzeler is a complete dish. Fountain, yokos I feel are better. As a matter of fact an old joint called Alps ( behind Taj colaba )was superb too but since closed few years ago. It would be good if you can specify the meat in steak for viewers.

Kobe sizzlers in Mississauga, Canada was very disappointing, absolutely tasteless. Especially when we had yummy sizzlers in Santacruz, Khar. In the 70s 'The Place' was awesome located next to West End movie theater in Pune. I do see the Kobe Mississauga ad which says we have returned newly renovated. Must check it out 👍 Thanks Kunal for reminding me of sizzlers 🙂

If my memory serves me right…..Paradise Restaurant in Colaba in Bombay now Mumbai used to also serve Scotch Broth Soup.
Not sure if the Paradise Restaurant is sill operating. My last visit was in 1978 !!😊😊

This Irani’s son then moved to Pune and started his sizzler restaurant in 1971 at Pune camp area, still running..
So “The Place: Touche “ in Pune is older than Kobe.
Kobes is a grt place to hv sizzlers
Applebees restaurant serves similar dessert. But they use biscuit type of light colored cake with less sugar. This way there is less sugar in dessert and is more tasty. It is not too sweet. Also they use cream cheese as liquid on the desert with less sugar.

At Santacruz used to be Yoko, Kobe was only at Opera House when it first started, at least that's what I remember. Fond memories of my parents taking us.

If you are veg lover then Red Indians in kandivali is just heaven for sizzlers. Especially paneer barbeque is their USP!!
