Enjoyed the taste of Pune Maharastra. This was the very first PARSI restaurant IN PUNE & Dores Dorabji  is a very nice man, mutton Dhansak & Patrani Machi and some more dishes I tried here and it was really tasty. It is a Popular restaurant for Parsi Food Lovers, Must try atleast once if you are from Pune Or From anywhere 👍👍👍

Though I cook all these recipes, it was very mouth watering, just watching it. Only difference is that I like my sali in a separate bowl so that the crispness is retained. Also surmai instead of pomfret,hate bones. And, you are right,in many a dish there is a dash of sweet- sour element. My Russi kaka used to take me to A1 restaurant in Bombay and with the dhansak they served tiny piyalis of murambo and achar. Nostalgia! Thanks. ( 1963 ). Teenager !

For those who don’t know Parsi: Our most Loved Field Marshal Gen.Manikshaw was a Parsi. The entire Tata family is Parsi. The best quality about Parsi’s is “Dil khulla hai aur dil ke bahut saaf hote hain”. They are lovers and not fighters. Their local language is very simple aur saath mein gaali is very very common. Kisi Parsi ko dost banaoo, zindigi bhar ka dost banega. Very loyal.
REALLY LOVED THE PRIDE ON OWNER’S FACE WHILE EXPLAINING THE WHOLE COOKING PROCESS, I HAVE BEEN VISITING THE DORABJEES SINCE 1975. MY FATHER FIRST TOOK ME THERE. HE STUDIED THERE IN YEAR 1957 TO 1960. RECENTLY I VISITED THERE THIS JUNE 2023. NOTHING IS CHANGED SINCE 1975 ( OF COURSE EXCLUDING RATES ). VERY NICE REVIEW BROTHER !!

ALL TIME FAVOURITE RESTAURANT SINCE LAST 40 YEARS. TRUST AND TASTE IS THE BEST MAIN PART OF DORABJEE RESTAURANT.

I am from Pune. Now living abroad. Dorabj’s biryani used to be famous. In 1968-69 Raj Kapoor was shooting for his film Mera Naam Joker in Loni near Pune. For a scene he invited our schoolboys and ferried us there by bus. During the daylong shooting students were treated with Dorabji biryani. I hope the same taste is being maintained today. Next time I visit Pune I’ll make sure to try it out.

Love this gentleman, his smile and energy .Like most of us I also love Parsis and their food as my father worked with them while working as an employee in a Bank,Fort area .My father used to make a unique dal which was very masaledaar with best test and aroma . I came to know much later that it was Dhansaak daal. I loved that dal . My father used to tell me how generous and helping nature Parsis are so I have that image till today and By seeing Dorabjee restaurant Person my belief bacame strong that Parsis are mostly like him. I would love to visit the restaurant if I come to Pune.

The best video that I ' ve watched till date . Earlier I was a non vegetarian eater and now I am a staunch vegetarian . Parsi food is very yummylicious ,even their " Foodno nu chai. How I remember very fondly the chicken biryani I used to eat in this great friendly place from 1963 to 1969. Had come from Tanzania to POONA or Pune now for studies.

I have been here in the late seventies, the food was always awesome, but what was something unique, was that a guy used to come to your table, with a kettle of hot water, a basin, and a napkin, for you to wash your hands! Never seen that anywhere else! Hats Off, Dorabjee and Sons!

The best thing about Parsis anywhere they are they take care of their employees. It's only here you will find happy workers and suppliers as they are taken care of. Be it TATAS, Sandvik, Atlas Copco, ABC farms. And many others. Once you are trust worthy they will never leave you. Lots to learn from them. Very few left. I've been visiting this place since 2004, My uncle introduced this place to me for the first time. My favourite dishesh are Patrani Machhi, Dhansak, Lagan nu custard and ek raspberry cold drink to banta hai boss. Last but not the least, their keema is must try for the breakfast. ❤

I used to stay in Pune once upon a time, a long while back. In katraj area of Pune, and there were certain restaurants and hotels me and my friends definitely used to visit in camp area everyday, come what may! One of them was Dorabjees, other was Burger King (Now Burger as the famous international chain by the same name has opened several outlets in India including pune), other one was marz-o-rin. We used to love the food at these places! Especially Dorabjees food was so good, and in all those years that I ate over there, not a single time the taste or quality of the food degraded even a bit! They always maintained their standard and reputation no matter what. Today when I saw this vlog of yours, it brought back lots of old, very happy memories.....
The owner over there is really very warm natured, and he used to have this very smiling face always as seen in this video! A true gentleman...
I really recommend everyone who visits Pune, to visit Dorabjees at least once. Trust me you will instantly become a fan of this restaurant and will start loving typical parsi food!! That's for very sure...
