Yeah, but I need to point out that the reason Floor points out Juka at the end its because he's the one responsible for most of the composition on Ghost Love Score.

Greatest musical genius of our generation? Bullshit! You haven't heard much comtemporary music in your life, have you? He is good, indeed, but he definitely doesn't deserve that superlative.
85% i guess. GLS is THE song for showcasing Floor. The songs you are about to suggest are beautiful songs mainly because of the composer and execution by skilled musicians.
@@ArsRegnandi Uhm, would you consider Poet and the Pendulum to be the flagship of Floors vocal abilities? Operatic, belting, soft whispering and high notes are all present.
Tuomas the keyboardist writes 95% of their music and lyrics and that includes the orchestral backing track which is recorded in London with the Philharmonic Orchestra. The band use click tracks for timings. Floor is a vocal powerhouse and chameleon, she can change her technique mid word to suit the music, she's also got the charisma and stature to control the audience and front the band. The rest of the band are world class musicians and Nightwish is what happens when you have 6 people (the sixth member Troy isn't in this song) who obviously love what they do and love each other perform together with some of the cleverest and well written music in the genre. Their music ranges from Thrash/Death metal to Folk rock and even Jazz, you need a versatile singer and Floor is among the best. There are lots of metal singers that also sing classical style but Floor is one of the best.
@@TheMiataDriver It's a timing sound in their in ear monitors so they can all keep the same time. They generally can't actually hear the music that well on stage because the PA stacks are out in front of them facing the audience. I'm not sure if the in ears are just for click track or sound from the band as well.
@@TheMiataDriver en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click_track 'Click tracks can also aid live bands that want to synchronize a live performance with things like prerecorded backing tracks, pyrotechnics and stage lighting.' Nightwish in a nutshell :)
While Tuomas does a lot of the orchestral writing himself, Ghost Love Score was the first song that Pip Williams joined the production team as the orchestrator, a role he has continued through the present. He and Tuomas collaborate on the orchestral sound, and he has the freedom to contribute his own ideas, which have enriched the symphonic part of this amazing band.
One of my joys in life is seeing expert singers and vocal coaches see Floor sing for the first time. I particularly love when they mention the belting early in the song, they have NO IDEA what is about to happen to them. And then they find out she is a vocal coach too.
@@TheWiseGrif Tuomas says a whole album of music just falls into his head, he then refines it and writes his highly poetic, metaphoric and allegorical lyrics around that following a theme. You're dead right, Pip Williams does the orchestrations in conjunction with Tuomas using the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Metro Voices at Angel Studios in London. Apparently some of these works become 600 tacks to be mixed down after the whole band has refined the arrangement and added guitar solos and vocals. For the stage, the various orchestral pieces are stored and arranged in Pro Tools and Tuomas controls them from one of the keyboards, it's a rod for your own back as timing is critical so they all have a click track in the monitors. That's a brief précis, its more complex in reality and there are YT documentaries that show some of the work involved.
Tuomas makes orchestral demo with his keyboard/workstation and because it's Nightwish and of course that's not enough they take it to London where they turn that digital orchestra demo into actual orchestral piece with Pip Williams. That's how it works.
One thing you have to consider aswell is that she preformed this one almost at the end of the concert, so she has already been singing for 1h before doing this one live!
Hello @ Ken Lavigne ! Nightwish fans here, your reaction just appeared on our radar.. Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing in 2013 at Wacken Open Air festival, in front of a 82k+ audience. About the instrumental and vocal added parts you noticed - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners. And yes, there is a mastermind behind all this composition, as you suspected: Tuomas Holopainen, named by many "the modern metal Mozart" :) Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): " Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrulmentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. No. Floor had been singing with the band for almost a year at the time of this concert, though still as a session-singer at this point. The concert where she jumped in at short notice was in the USA; for which she had 48 hours to learn the setlist and get herhelf from her sisters wedding in the Netherlands to Seattle for their first gig together. GLS wasn't on the set list then; it was added in later at her request. This Wacken concert marked the end of their Imaginaerum World Tour. The rest is history.
Tuomas is the brain behind 98% of all they do. As you explore more nightwish you will quickly learn to appreciate the genius of his composition and songwriting skills
@@Nikiokobecause a soprano with a more than three octave range isn't big! Right. Indeed style isn't the same as range - but Floor utilizes both, and they're pretty vast!
She can't do most techniques used in metalcore and deathcore (including pig squeal and blegh), she can't transition from false cord scream to rap or pop and back with no problems at all. Btw, technique ≠ range. False cord screaming (or like you know it incorrectly as growling) isn't deep and low most of the time.
1:17 "Whoever mixed this is a genius, that sounds amazing!" Yeah, so amazing that no band before or since (including this same band) has been able to come up with a symphonic metal song quite as good as this.
You haven't seen it all! She's such a versatile singer. The most versatile in the industrie. From small to large. from head voice to chest voice, and in the mix. From sweet and small to growling. She sings what the music needs. Tuomas is the brilliant composer off it all. He is the keybord player. All musicians are verry talented. If you want a different kind off Nightwish try, Yours is a empty hope or Romanticide.
You know what you expected? It's not that. The next song. You know what to expect now? Nope not that. After ten songs you will get a small idea. After twenty you will start to have an inkling. After forty you will be getting there. And then you will look at the new album and then, it's back to the beginning
The writer is mostly Toumas Halopenian the keyboard player and the track playing is the London Symphony. Floor Jansen has been a vocal coach herself. You have the greatest smile and you are very expressive, two wonderful assets when doing reaction videos. Enjoyed this very much, thank you
Talking about the top bands in symphonic metal you can approach it by having a look at the great Dutch female symphonic metal singers: You do know Floor Jansen from Nightwish and you experienced Nightwish already. But you just got a first tiny hint of her range and capabilities, incl. deep growling (Yours an empty Hope from Wembley). Then there is Simone Simmons from Epica. You have to experience „Sancta Terra“ from Epica feat. Floor Jansen. Another song to listen to is „Consign to Oblivion“. A unique singer of her own is Sharon den Adel from „Within Temptation“. They are incredible as well. First songs to listen to might be „And we run feat. Xzibit“ (symphonic metal meets rap), „Angels“ and „Paradise feat. Tarja“ (the first singer of Nightwish). Charlotte Wessels from „Delain“ is the next to explore: „Masters of Destiny“ is a must. Delain did a couple of songs with Marco from Nightwish like „Sing to me fest. Marco Hietala“ Anneke van Giersbergen (former from The Gathering) did a great duet with Sharon den Adel: Within Temptation „Somewhere“ Another symphonic metal band to mention is Xandria from Germany. They had for some time another awesome Dutch singer: Dianne van Giersbergen. Try „Nightfall“. Greetz from a German-Dutch concert photographer
It’s all Tuomas the guy that plays the keyboards, he writes 95 percent of their stuff. Thanks 😊 they might have an orchestral group do a lot of their back tracks.
Let's not forget Sharon den Adel. Who was not classically trained but has a very natural beautiful unique saprano voice. Lot's of love for Within Temptation.
I saw them together once. That was way early in Floor's career with After Forever. Sharon came up as a guest singer. That was way before either of them got famous. Tickets were 15 bucks so I thought "let's just give it a go", but it was epic.
imagine being there close to the stage, it must feel like seeing a godess singing right in front of you. she has a good voice, she's a good singer, and she looks great on stage too. I mean her outfit, how she's standing, her hair, even the movement when she approached the microphone was great. I don't know how to explain it but she has something special.
Hey, if you want to hear Floor growling, you should definitely check out nightwish wembley 2015 shudder before the beautiful and yours is an empty hope, thanks 😊 she was also in other bands before she joined nightwish, After forever, northward, and Revamp, more growling styles.
If I remember correctly there were 82 or 83 thousand people in the crowd for this concert. As far as the compositions go, Tuomas (the keyboardist) does most of the compositions with Pip Williams, and then the orchestral backing tracks are recorded by the London Philharmonic
When I heard the song for the first time, it totally blew me away! I was emotionally overwhelmed. But I don't know, maybe 'overwhelmed' isn't the right word... 🤔 The combination of this epic song together with this powerful lyrics and especially her voice... Omg! In the end a few tears ran down my face. The interplay of this perfect music and this perfect singing touched me so emotionally that I couldn't believe it. She absolutely nailed it, every note... You have to process something so perfect emotionally first. She sang as if there's no tomorrow, she gave this song so much of her feelings... I could feel every word🎶🥺 I heard this music not only with my ears but also with my heart. Love it!
Oh how I envy the journey you’re about to begin! Floor is amazing, but one of my favorite parts of the journey, is learning that everyone in the band is a master at what they do. I only found out about them ~2 years ago, and I have not been disappointed.
There is plenty of really good Nightwish performances with Floor to look at but for a vocal coach and his students maybe the best place to go is to watch Floor’s performances on the Dutch tv show Beste Zangers. This is not a competition or reality show but a show in which professional singers from various genres (pop, rock, musical theatre, classical etc.) come together. Each episode one of them is the guest of honour and the others sings either one of his / her songs or a song that has special significance for that person. This means that most of them have at some point step outside of their comfort zone and do a song in a style that is far removed to what they are used to do. Floor killed every performance she did starting of with a killer version of the operetta song Vilja Lied (guest of honour was classical tenor Henk Poort, who also was the original Dutch Phantom Of The Opera) and culminated 7 weeks later in a stunning version of Phantom Of The Opera in a duet with Henk Poort (in which they combine the original song with the Nightwish arrangement of it). Up to this tv show except for those in the metal scene nobody knew her and the fact she is the lead singer in one of the biggest metal bands on the planet. That tv show pretty much changed all of that which meant she actually started doing a series of solo shows here in NL plus Nightwish was also selling way more tickets. Alas, corona struck although her solo shows were almost all before the outbreak, the Nightwish shows have been postponed for now.
The power to this song is not just the vocals and her technique, but the actual lyrics(chorus ..."you were the one to cut me, so I will bleed forever) with her crushing those last notes "My fall, will be....for you. Tuomas writes most of the songs and lyrics, but her addition is that end part that the previous two singers never performed.
This never gets old: Juuka laying down the groove on his TAMA double base set, Emmpu holding the rhythm on his signature ESP, Marco giving us those insane base lines on his Warrwick Bazzard, Tuomas sharing his genius with the world on his KORGs and (of course) Floor leading the charge like a modern-day Valkyrie and seducing like a siren. Perfection! This is the top of the talent tree and the pinnacle of mastery. Any one of them alone would have been enough to lead any band into stardom let alone all five.
Wishing the Viking Queen a speedy recovery ... this performance is by far one of the top live performances ever ... the band was out of this world, and she delivered powerfully and gorgeously with a voice that can take troops to battle like a General!
Welcome to Nightwish :) This was but a tiny sampling of what Floor, and the band can do. I hope you'll continue reacting to them. The bass player, Marko, is an amazing singer in his own right. Romanticide, or Ghost River would be good ones to hear both of them together.
Its all ochestrated by "The Mozart of Metal" Tuomas Holopainen. He will go down in history as one of our times greatest musical minds... if he dosent, the world should just burn to the ground
Hey, nice video, you should definitely check out Floor Jansen on a Dutch reality show beste zangers, it shows all the different styles and languages she can do, at least 5 or 6 languages, Dutch, German, English, Finnish, and Spanish, thanks 😊 the show she was on was in 2019.
DEFINITELY CONCUR WITH WATCHING EVERY ONE OF HER PERFORMANCE FROM BESTE ZANGERS. It REALLY showcases her range of vocal ability, as she sings everything from classical opera, to music theater, to salsa, to pop.

Welcome to the wonderful world of symhonic metal and Nightwish. This show is the most epic one. Floor Jansen is the most technical female rock singer out there. Thank you for your analysis of this incredible performance by Flor Jansen and Nightwish. I appreciate your musical and vocal knowledge and willingness to embrace and critique different musical styles.

In a moment they leave the stage briefly. Upon their return Floor turns it on vocally! Her breathing is perfect. Her outfit appears to be leather. Very little stretch if any.. This lady is a vocal powerhouse! I am pleased that you enjoyed this video!! Take care sir!
Yes, there are other classically trained singers in metal like, off the top of my head, Tarja Turunen, original singer of Nightwish, Simone Simons from Epica or Roy Kahn, former vocalist of Kamelot.
Shout out for mentioning Roy Khan, he of KAMELOT and CONCEPTION! YES, he has that training under his belt, and it tells! One of the most singular voices in Metal for sure. As personal preference, I love the chiseled baritone of Mathias Blad, the professional musical theater artist and the voice of FALCONER, even more. But admittedly, he is not the sort of engaging frontman that Khan is (or was, before his lengthy departure from the stage).
@@MinhNguyen-ff6xf I think she is the Coming Queen. Dianne just has that something "extra" in addition to the "required" power, charisma and vocal flexibility. Her housband is a drummer and she knows they used to be the less well known so, she pointed at him in order to thank him the amazing job he do
what about the drummer in pain killer from judas priest ? yes that song is shorter than this, but he playes harder and faster XD
but none the less.. this is as good as it gets

I can't help but giggle because we KNOW what is coming
Men ! There's a new vocal coach to be watched being wowd !
Sir Yes Sir !!!

Who is responsible for the orchestrations? Metal Mozart, thats who... Tuomas Holopainen, the greatest musical genius of our generation.
Greatest musical genius of our generation? Bullshit! You haven't heard much comtemporary music in your life, have you? He is good, indeed, but he definitely doesn't deserve that superlative.
Sorry Nikioko, but the masses agree with PaulWakefield, he is!
Gratulations!
You've successfully unlocked 20% of Floor's vocal capabilities ;)
😂😂 haha indeed...
Underrated comment lol
85% i guess. GLS is THE song for showcasing Floor. The songs you are about to suggest are beautiful songs mainly because of the composer and execution by skilled musicians.
@@ArsRegnandi Uhm, would you consider Poet and the Pendulum to be the flagship of Floors vocal abilities? Operatic, belting, soft whispering and high notes are all present.
This made my day!! indeed 20% Floor is so versatile and that is the most amazing part of Floor's vocals
Tuomas: Floor what is your vocal range?
Floor: YES!
:D :D
mezzo soprano. Definitely.
What is "click tracks" please?
@@TheMiataDriver It's a timing sound in their in ear monitors so they can all keep the same time.
They generally can't actually hear the music that well on stage because the PA stacks are out in front of them facing the audience.
I'm not sure if the in ears are just for click track or sound from the band as well.
@@TheMiataDriver en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click_track
'Click tracks can also aid live bands that want to synchronize a live performance with things like prerecorded backing tracks, pyrotechnics and stage lighting.'
Nightwish in a nutshell :)
@@TheMiataDriver - in this performance (as in others I believe) the drummer is cued to the click track and the rest of the band follows him.
One of my joys in life is seeing expert singers and vocal coaches see Floor sing for the first time. I particularly love when they mention the belting early in the song, they have NO IDEA what is about to happen to them. And then they find out she is a vocal coach too.
Anyone: Floor can you....
Floor: yes..
Floor doing Vilha Lied aria on Beste Zangers 😲😃🔥🔥🔥

WE WERE HERE !!!
@@Raven70772 You are now. 😉
you can see almost the little hearts coming out of his eyes the moment she starts to sing :) And I mean really, holy crap she is good
The orchestra in the backing track is performed by the London Philharmonic. I believe Tuomas wrote it, but I can't confirm that.
Tuomas composes 99% of Nightwish's music, Pip Williams did the orchestral arrangements for the London Philharmonic
Pip Williams is a kind of '5th Beatle' to Nightwish....he's done a fab job for them so far.
Imagine night wish with the backing of arjen lucassens Ayreon project .earth would implode .
What you have to remember is that Floor had sung a dozen songs already in this concert, and still had the energy to belt that last phrase. Superhuman!
Watching people react to Floor NEVER gets old!
Tuomas is our Metal Mozart 😍
Nope. This isn't Mozart style. And André Olbrich makes better scores, IMO.
You never forget your first Floorgasm. Listening to Floor Jensen is just pure bliss.
*Jansen
There’s nothing to forget if you narrate right through the crescendo of the song and don’t have the Floorgasm at all. 🤦🏻♂️🙄
And yes, there is a mastermind behind all this composition, as you suspected: Tuomas Holopainen, named by many "the modern metal Mozart" :)
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer.
There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps.
I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core. So be prepared. lol "

I liked this reaction. He might not know it yet, but he definitely had a Floorgasm as he said the word 'belt' haha
Everything Floor does vocally, is 100% deliberate. She is vocal perfection.
when singer vocalists try to sometimes have a little moan at her vocals they do not like she is so good, they do not like she is so good in the band.
Floor is called the Swiss Army Knife of singing for a reason. It seems there's nothing she can't do.
HAHA on point.
Swiss army knife...nice!
Yep. As great as this performance is, it just scratches the surface of what Floor can do. Hope to see some more from Ken, especially looking forward to his face when he hears Yours is an Empty Hope. :D
Who calls her that and Why Swiss? She's from the Netherlands.
@@wc41284 And it has to be the Wembley one. . . . . . . . . .But you're right, Ken has a ways to go yet to see Floor use her scale and scope of capability and I hope we get many more reactions from him on Nightwish, it's one hell of a journey.
78 minutes into a set she had 24 hours to learn and people have rated this in the top 10 live performances ever.
Floor is truly one of a kind
24 hours was Brazil this was later
@@greg5095 yes but it is the same set.
This is wacken like a year later
Very true!
Tuomas is the brain behind 98% of all they do.
As you explore more nightwish you will quickly learn to appreciate the genius of his composition and songwriting skills
:: eyebrows rise at Floor's opening notes :: another one falls!
.... and so grows the army.
Floor's vocal range is extreme. She can go from deep growling to opera style. There is nothing she cannot do, vocally.
Style isn't vocal range... And I wouldn't say that her range is extraordinary big. She just uses what she has to the most extent.
@@Nikiokobecause a soprano with a more than three octave range isn't big! Right. Indeed style isn't the same as range - but Floor utilizes both, and they're pretty vast!
@@dalia1598 what the fuck!? 😂
I will never ever get tired of the first hearing Floor reactions faces. The suprise, the aww, that unbelievable look - and falling instantly in love.
Nightwish is amazing, after many years I still have yet to hear a bad song from them.
Been a fan since their beginning. Nevee heard a bad song for more than 20
years now. They are just out of this world. Especially Tuomas and Marko
1:17 "Whoever mixed this is a genius, that sounds amazing!"
Yeah, so amazing that no band before or since (including this same band) has been able to come up with a symphonic metal song quite as good as this.
1:20 «Whoever made this is a genius, this sounds amazing!»
Tuomas: «This isn't even my *Endless Form Most Beautiful* »
You know what you expected? It's not that.
The next song. You know what to expect now? Nope not that.
After ten songs you will get a small idea. After twenty you will start to have an inkling.
After forty you will be getting there. And then you will look at the new album and then, it's back to the beginning
This is too accurate. 😂🤣
True, Nightwish is one of the most diverse bands.
This is an excellent description of her. There is just so much she can do... and even everything she does in NW is not ALL she can do.
@@Leishtek Pretty sure what he said was a description of the band itself, but okay. o-o You're kinda right.
Absolutely. If I could get 1$ for every "I didn't expect that" reaction with NW songs, I'd be a rich person. ^^
The writer is mostly Toumas Halopenian the keyboard player and the track playing is the London Symphony. Floor Jansen has been a vocal coach herself. You have the greatest smile and you are very expressive, two wonderful assets when doing reaction videos. Enjoyed this very much, thank you
Her range is amazing.... can even do death growls
Talking about the top bands in symphonic metal you can approach it by having a look at the great Dutch female symphonic metal singers:
You do know Floor Jansen from Nightwish and you experienced Nightwish already.
Marco Hietala“
Anneke van Giersbergen (former from The Gathering) did a great duet with Sharon den Adel: Within Temptation „Somewhere“
Another symphonic metal band to mention is Xandria from Germany. They had for some time another awesome Dutch singer: Dianne van Giersbergen. Try „Nightfall“.

Agree and it's thanks to Sharon and WT that I ever found Nightwish
I saw them together once. That was way early in Floor's career with After Forever. Sharon came up as a guest singer. That was way before either of them got famous. Tickets were 15 bucks so I thought "let's just give it a go", but it was epic.

she has a good voice, she's a good singer, and she looks great on stage too.
Everything just fits so perfectly together in this song
Love it!

Floor Jansen - 6"1 of pure magic
Plus heels.
Well said. I advise to search for the videos uploaded by Jenniezelf, they give extra information with subtitles.
Yes!!! I’m so glad you did this one
Warrwick Bazzard??!!
It’s a Warwick VAMPYRE…
I can feel the army coming.. Get on the NightWish train!
Hope to see you do much more of Nightwish and of Ms Floor Jansen!

She literally brings people to weaping tears during the show. I was introduced to her last week with duet performance of Phantom of the Opera that slays.

Tarja is superior imo
@@DrCrimp-sg5pb Maybe when it comes to pure operatic voice, but Tarja as a whole is way more 1-dimensional as an artist.
She's not one dimensional. She has adopted a contemporary style as well. She mixes it up. Just not to the degree that Floor does. Find a new point of argument. This one has become lazy.

London symphonic orchestra played tracks for them. Floor Jansen (Dutch) is a fully trained classical/opera and rock singer. She finished music university and rock academy Holland.
She transfers from head to chest in seconds on and off.
"Within Temptation" has an excellent self-trained operatic singer - Sharon. "Evanescence" and "Beast in Black" and "Amaranthe" and "Battle Beast"
The Floorgasm is real. every. time. When she hits that note, she reaches into my soul and grasps it. I am shook.
Yet another does not return from the Sirens call.
I watched a piece where Floor said there were around 80,000 folks at this show. This was near the end of their set. YES she is trained and I believe that the first section is her warm up.
Dianne van Giersbergen, a former vocalist of Xandria, current front woman of Ex Libris
@@MinhNguyen-ff6xf I think she is the Coming Queen. Dianne just has that something "extra" in addition to the "required" power, charisma and vocal flexibility. Her delivery can go from a childlike wonder and naivete to a towering opera diva in a blink. A great singer-actress in the league of Floor but with a more pronounced classical tone. I am very partial to her. Thanks for mentioning! \m/
Big G She’s so charismatic and talented, but the boys of Xandria were just thoughtless and envied her image. Her most recent album was fantastic but so underrated due to a lack of qualified managerial staff and a powerful producer. Hope Dianne will rise like a diva soon!
As a self described hard rock/heavy metal enthusiast since I was all of 8 years old, back in 1965, I have listen to all the greats in this genre, starting off by listening to, with my best friend of 58 years, Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf, Black Sabbath with Ozzy, Jimmy Hendrix, Grand Funk Railroad, and on and on throughout the last 5 and a half decades....and Nightwish is in their own category of awesomeness. I get goosebumps everytime I listen to their music...and it leaves me wanting to listen to more of their music, and to Floor Jansen. I cannot listen to "Ghost Love Score" without wishing I was with those 82000 people in Wacken.
And I have been to see The Rolling Stones in a 50,000 seat college football stadium, AC/DC, 3 times in 15,000 to 20,000 seat arenas, U2 outdoors in Arizona State University's 70,000 seat football stadium...and as great as these concerts were, I am sure a Nightwish concert would be on another level!
Nightwish Army's Texas Regiment member just Subscribed!!
And then there is Marco...
In one of my Nightwish groups there'a still the constant debate, who's the best singer of nightwish. I always say Marko "Marco" Hietala....... He's a beast
@@krissypetak7832
He is a wizard, known from Valhalla as Marko the Modest .
Like Gandalf, the gods have him sent back to Earth, until his task is complete.
Wakefield Tolbert Couldn't have said it better 🤘🏻👆🏻❤️
The only man who has earned the right to wear a t-shirt with "Floor Jansen is my backing vocalist" on it. :-)
Markoooo❤❤❤
since covid19 recently i'm watching youtube more often and just find out the fact most musician or band from Nordic-Slavic are the most underated music and one of the best in the world. beside mainstream artist in music industry such US & UK
Hi Kevin, you have to react to Beste Zangers 2019, Floor Jansen singing Vilja Lied .. and all the others of her on that show ;) further I would suppose to react to Sancta Terra, Dutch band Epica with Simone Simmons featuring Floor Jansen.
There is so much more Nightwish to experience! She's like the Swiss army knife of singing!
Roy Khan, formerly of the band Kamelot and now again of the band Conception, is a trained opera singer from Norway. You'll find this type of metal more in Europe. Heavy classical orchestration alongside metal themes (not so different in reality). Back when I was singing classical music, I got heavy into it.mainku for these reasons. There's some great vocalists.

Damn, never thought I'd see someone shouting out Roy anywhere. Kamelot was awesome.
This please! Yes
@@5thPhoenix yep, he withdrew from Kamelot for many years and recorded a new album with his former band Conception in 2018. I like both bands but they are different. Roy Khan in Conception, pre Kamelot, had some insane vocals.
Watching that look on the reactor's face the first time they hear Floor and Nightwish NEVER. GETS. OLD!
Now you are officially a reactor. ;)
You probably cannot go wrong with Nightwish. But I would suggest Romanticide next. Do not do Poet and the Pendulum yet. It is the magnum opus. Do several others first.
If you want to go outside Nightwish, try Epica - Sancta Terra, or Awakening by Unleash the Archers.
Ken, i can tell you from watching her live that she has a diaphragm of steel. It's impressive to watch her right before a sustained note. And of course, nothing beats live. Great video! I just subscribed
Invasion has started.... Nightwish Army arrived. You'll be watched 🤘🏻😜
I am *loving* the awe and fascination in your eyes 💕
Well, now that you’ve had your first exposure to the greatest rock vocalist of this generation (she and Freddy Mercury can battle it out in Valhalla for the all time nod), there’s nothing left for you to do, but... more. Get on the Nightwish train, my dude. The army is coming for you...
If Freddie was still alive he would definitely do a duet with her 😁
Probably someone already told you but the one that composes the music, arrangements, and orchestra sounds in Nightwish is the keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen. A graduated maestro from musical schools, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He practically invented with Nightwish this Symphonic Metal subgenre in the early to mid '90s
Actually, Floor can also do complete death growl vocals, too. Similar to the singer of Jinjer. There's footage of her other/old band where she's doing that a lot.
You picked the right performance to watch. This is the definitive version of Ghost Love Score.

ive watched alot of reactions to this video and loved seeing the reactions, but yours by far was the best, your look was just priceless seeing what she can do
