Good job by Shane for coming on here and putting himself into the firing line. I feel like he’s a really good example of someone who has encountered information overload. There’s loads of buzzwords and partial theory snippets in his thought process which are hindering his execution, and I really like the suggestion of bringing things back to a more fundamental level. Good luck Shane!
Thanks man, appreciate it! And you're right. I think Pete nailed it and I needed to fill some gaps in my fundamentals. Immediately after our 2nd session I purchased the full course package and started working at it an hour or 2 every day. It's done at the depth and breadth that I needed. Hope to be better next time!
@ nice one. That’s all we can do - try to get better all the time. Hard game, and even harder in this format. I think when Pete himself did the session with Bena, that was made very clear, as someone who so easily articulates his thoughts found it difficult! I’m not sure I’d be brave enough!l so fair play!
should 99 raise flop? we are heavy in 88 tt JJ - are villains at these stakes balanced with their 1/3 pot cbet on this texture - I suspect solver may check a lot, and use huge bets as villain... jams with this spr - did we talk about the 3b size?
@xGETxREKTx You have a memorable username. I thought I had more hands against you but we only have played 130 hands played vs each other. I only have 160 hands vs @shanewyatt8985.
I feel like a poker genius when I watch these videos. My rough thought-process on the 53 hand, after the flop gets checked: the button would have probably c-bet a six and the small blind would have led a six so I have the most sixes here and can credibly represent one. I would certainly lead a six so I need to balance this with bluffs. Ideally the bluffs will have equity when called but little showdown so 53 and 57 are the perfect candidates. I bet 75% of pot. Shane's thought-process: No leads, I'm wasting effort if I bet, and the purpose of betting would be to build the pot...
You could shove A9o here. Villian have 33 or 55 almost always, so good luck finding bluffs in our range. 😄 If he "competent" I think he will fold like 95% of the time here.
Hand #4... I call river over bet also since we checked flop with an Ace villain thought we didn't have an Ace ... we gave him rope, flush draw bricks, I'm not folding
Welcome to Station Nation! MDA shows this line is massively underbluffed all the way up to 500NL. Reg vs reg at 25NL probably 0.01% bluff. I agree with what Pete said, can fold turn or stick around and try to boat up on river, but I suck at actually doing that (folding) when it comes down to it.
I play a lot of live low stakes where ranges are way too wide all the way through. Now that I watch it again I see they'll probably shut down bluffs after we call big check raise

this is the pool I play, seeing a lot of familiar tags lol
Well played, Agent Hotchner.
that first hand is really egregious... directly after he spoke about how "bad" most of the regs in the pool are lmao.
Great coaching!

Wish his hand against me was more exciting. Can’t remember what I had there but gg’s Shane 🍻
Haha I watched looking for my username too. Hoping he had me marked as a fish
Usually hands against you are more exciting. GG as always.

Im villain in this hand. I don’t think I’d good to shove unless was deeper on river.

I am villain in this hand. I can assure you I don’t have anywhere near enough bluffs. I will have them but not enough.
