Two things: 1. Did every player in this event sign a waiver in case they ended up in this documentary? 2. This documentary format is brilliant! Following one stack to the end is a fantastic way to really immerse the viewer into what it's like to play an event of this size. Early on you get an almost 'every man' perspective of players that may be relatively unknown, but competent enough to play at that level. Then as the tourney progresses you eventually run into the pros, and you also add the element of expert commentary that adds to the intensity and pressure as the event closes in on a winner. Whomever thought up this format, kudos, and give that person a raise! I certainly hope to see more of this type of content in the future.
ya when you register for major tournies you sign a release stating you may end up being filmed and consent for being on featured tables etc. You dont have to actively participate like the guys getting interviewed but you do have to agree to maybe end up in a video
Beautifully done. Absolutely perfectly balanced between a watch for your 'average Joe' poker player / grinder (like me) and the laymen viewer who has a passing interest or voyeuristic yearning for the game. I think the fact you got each of the individuals featured to buy in to what you were doing was fantastic. Completely seamless! I bought Moorman's book many many years ago... he's a legend. But then again, so is everyone who makes an event like this so tantalisingly epic. Whoever would have thought that a man name Moneymaker would have been the catalyst for something that has created [probably] many dozens of millionaires in the last 2 decades. It's truly inspiring..... in a weirdly, desperate kind of way.
Kudos! This was an excellent poker documentary to watch. I don't believe there has been one quite like this that follows the highs and lows of the next player up. Well done! May everyone who plays have the time of their lives all over the world.
@@pokerfilmsyeah I have a poker playlist full of docus while I do DoorDash or while I’m grinding poker. I’ve also seen “for love or for money” many many times haha.
That was a very good way to film a poker tournament! Thank you for that and please make more videos with the same concept. Kudos from a semi-professional online grinder. :)
Good stuff - I like the "switch-off," after a bust-out and I think you catapulted Paulius to the final table (he thrives on pressure, as it appears), but now the spotlight on Moorman. Damn cute dog by the way :)
This video is top2 and not2 🔥🔥 the foreshadowing before day7 of sepoil just starring while the other players are in the background talking of why they should win 👀
Around 44:00 mark, unless I'm misremembering the rules, I don't know why the dealer is getting involved there? I can't recall there being a problem with discussing what you think the other player might have in a heads up pot. I thought it was discussing your own hand and I know you shouldn't talk about hands multi-way. I would be curious as to what others think.
At 43:28, he asks his opponent, "you have flush?" Although it's usually nothing more than harmless banter, the main concern with this kind of table talk is collusion.
The instructional voiceover and the non-additive interviews are brutal. Respect the audience like D.A. Pennebaker and other great documentarians. Just shoot the concept. Don't make an informercial for WPT.
Thank you for everyone's support to make this film possible! 🎥🙏
Thank you for making it - really enjoyed it

wowow, that's the worst FT push in the history of live poker.
Just curious, if they had made a deal would they have played it out for TV?
i believe Georgios and Danny did make a deal. I just do not know the terms.
@pokerfilms Interesting. Does this happen often in big tournaments? Like an ICM deal and play for the glory?
@ yes most tournaments but not in WSOP events. They do not facilitate chops. Players can do at own risk though. Tritons I do not know.
You misspelled Alex Foxen.
this was brought to my attention. crazy how I missed this. Thank You FOXEN. my apologies

I had to skip through most of it. This video has no business being more than 30 minutes. Like you said, it just feels like one big WPT ad.
