I wanted to dress more classy but had no clue how to start wearing longer skirts. Thank you so much! I think this is the guide I needed with examples and all
Chi, another excellent video! I love skirts, and midi are my favorite. They are elegant and comfortable. I live in Houston. Spring has been here for a while , sometimes it is a little chilly in the mornings. I have been wearing midi dresses and skirts non-stop the last few weeks. They are perfect for transitional season , can be paired with thin sweaters with boots, or blouse/t-shirt with sandals depending on the weather. Really versatile. All your tips are very effective. I have been using them all the time.
Great tips as always, Chi. My favorite skirt length is just covering the kneecap, so the skirt ends at the narrowest place above the ankle. As I’m only 5’4”, this length is hard to find. I’ll shorten good-quality, keep-forever skirts, but a lot of mine, like from H&M, just aren’t worth it, it doubles the cost. So, I try to wear them with the highest heels I can stand, under 3”. I love the short jacket idea and I always tuck in my tops, although my tummy is far from slim. Tops worn outside do look frumpy, always, and ruin the proportions.
I don't typically comment on UA-cam videos, but this was extremely helpful! I'm trying to find something nice for my engagement shoot. Being 5'0", I always thought I had to pick a skirt that is above my knee to elongate my legs. However, all I found were midi skirts and I didn't know what to do! This video helped educate me on picking the best midi skirt. Thank you!!!
Pant suits in bright or pastel colors are really in style this spring...would love to see you do a petite styling video. Also I wear high low (high in front, descending to back) curve fitting evening dresses and I am finding that elongates my already long petite frame legs. Love your midi styling idea of matching shoes Chi. I am receiving a lot of compliments since I started "Chi Styling" my clothes!💜💚♥️💙
I like the look of a midi skirt with a short jacket. I have just found your channel and have subscribed. I am under 5' and still slim. Enjoyed your presentation and dos and do nots.
As usual = your videos are so informative and fun. I have learned so much from you -I am 4’11” and hard to find clothes that suit my short frame but you have made it much easier!
Thank You Chi , you are the best . I’ve given up with avoiding midis , most dresses I love are midi length . Luckily I don’t have muscular calves , heels sure help . Yes to shorter jackets , unfortunately long over sized blazers and jackets are the look right now . I’m resisting buying them xxx
Thanks.....loved ur suggestions..... Well i'm 5ft and i have worn midi pleated skirt without heels..... It was looking nice though .....💗💗 I wore a pointed toe belly with that skirt and tucked in the top...., Love uu....💓
Quite right on the short jacket! Worn a midi pleated skirt with a biker leather jacket and it rocked! Unfortunately, I am no longer my slim self and have been having a hard time trying to adjust, but I've found that loose clothes are not flattering, so cinch that waist. Also, the right bra size is very important, keep those girls up and proud. Cinching, tucking and wearing tops that fall on the waist, will elongate the legs. Love your tips, they are easy to follow and effective
Thanks for the Video! There are a lot of great tips in it, which i like to try. I always thought being petite means i cannot wear midi skirts, but that's just not true. I bought one last year and was so happy trying it, now i wanna improve that styling :)
THANK YOU so much. I was about to give up with the midi because they always are too long, but I do NOT want to wear a mini. Also, can't always find what I like in petite!!
I have always felt that a length that falls to the just above my ankle is most flattering and comfortable. I abhor lengths that hit mid calf, although they are comfortable. Another style I feel is flattering, is the silk wrap skirt because it flutters and draws attention down because of movement.
Chi, you're fantastic! What a great video; it's full of helpful advice. I'm trying to incorporate mid-skirts in my outfits, and this video was super valuable for me! Thanks for sharing it.
The side by side images are brilliant Chi, an immediate visual that helps you see what a difference a shorter or tucked in top can make. Would a cropped jacket work for an hourglass with defined hips?
Excellent 👌! I could not believe I was seeing the same person (you) in all videos! Such a different styles with the clothes! Your red outfit was perfect! ❤ You are the best
Thanks so much for helping me with my loved midi shirt that I love ,but I am 5”2 also and haven’t worn it yet. It’s that silky satin kind very neutral color. Now I know what to wear it wish. I have a top that’s almost exactly the same color. It blends nicely with it it’s a warm color neutral. I am 66 and never want to look Frumpy.
Always good tips as usual. This also helps me shop for clothes that will look good on me. I’m also giving away clothes in my closet that just is not right for me
I love pencil skirts but I think I'd look better in A line skirts. I don't have a go to black skirt as of yet, so I'm looking at all my options for spring/summer. Thanks for the help!
No you hang up first no you hang up ok at the same time haha 😆 your so funny anyways super groovy information especially the layering part that's just Genius girl! Your so Amazing! great video I dig your fashion knowledge it's so impressive luv ❤ cool share enjoy your weekend .🌹💯%🌞✌🐈⬛
I still have not embraced midis . I am petite and wear all my skirts and dresses 👗 about 1 inch above the knee. They are all pencil or Aline cut. How can I improve upon them to not look shorter?
Great thank you! 💜 Chi not sure if you saw my recent comment on a previous video - I ordered from your store recently and it was fantastic! Hope you get to see my comment on your previous video
What about boots? If it's winter, you cant wear heels. Then what kind of heeled boots suits the best? What is the length alsp - ankle, kneee, etc? Could you make a video about pairing boots with skirts?
I'm not at all comfortable showing skin. What can I wear under a side slit skirt that won't show my legs but won't look awkward at the same time? I avoid many outfits because of my comfort zone.
Any tips on how to style pencil skirts that are too long? I don't want to roll it over because it will add bulk to my waist (I'm an hourglass). There are pockets (the company is called snag tights) so I think it would look strange shortened. And I have pulled it right to the top of my torso. Maybe adding a slit. Or would that look odd for pencil skirts?
In the past I often had a seamstress make me bottoms. I have had a poison green shorter-midi pencil skirt with long back slit and it earns a lot of compliments. So recently purchased a dress with front slit pencil skirt. Love it but waiting for its debut
Your videos are always so practical and helpful! And of course I love the sense of humor you always sprinkle in. Great job as always! ❤️
Thank you! I appreciate that!

Wow, thank you!!

I love pencil skirts but I think I'd look better in A line skirts. I don't have a go to black skirt as of yet, so I'm looking at all my options for spring/summer. Thanks for the help!
Great tips, although, it’s more tricky if you’re a petite apple shape trying to hide the wide waist and tummy area
Great tips. Pls do more videos like these ❤

Where is your white top from? The one where you are wearing with the white skirt for the tight top/flowy skirt top. Thanks!

Do you have any tutorials on short people with thick calves and thighs?
Came here cos I know you’ll know what is best ❤
some very good tips here. Thank you...
Glad you enjoyed it, Jo!
Your tips work for me too. Long torso, big busted comparatively short legged 5'10" gal. 😉
Thanks for this video. I needed this!
My next investment: pencil skirt. Thanx Chi 👍🤸🏻♀️💜
Awesome! You're welcome, Fata!
Thanks for sharing ideas
Can you show wide leg pants too? How to style with this pants
Amazing tips, i love midi skirts but usually i look like a little troll. Now to figure out how to hide that tummy in a midi skirt.
Great video as always!!!❤

This is very helpfull.

You are a gem …🎉❤
Lol I love your intros. Lmao “no you hang up first🤣”
Very smart tips!ty.
Glad you like it!
Not everyone is able to wear any sort of heal. How would they manage?
So I’m short 5’3 and mostly petite hourglass shape. Large breasts. How do I tuck without making my bust look bigger? Thanks. Love ur videos!!
I'm not at all comfortable showing skin. What can I wear under a side slit skirt that won't show my legs but won't look awkward at the same time? I avoid many outfits because of my comfort zone.
Thank you so much gorgeous💕
Great skirts

Danke 💗
Thank you Chi. Excellent information. 👍😁
You're always welcome and I'm so glad you like it, Elizabeth!
You're so clever x
awweeee this warms my heart! Thank you so much for appreciating! ♥️
Wear heels ALWAYS? My heel spur is screaming 😂😂😂😂😂 nah uh i agree with the rest but i still go to a footwear that i am comfortable with.
I love skirt..
what about short legs and short torso,im 4’11😭
A question:
what iff you cant ware heels due to medical problems?
How about over the knee skirts instead of mid calf, and nude flats, pointed if you can wear pointed toe
Please do a video on best bikini/ swimwear for each body type for petites
Belted long jackets/blazers elongate the legs just as well as short jackets and do not look so girlish. Besides they hide the hips.
Helpful and hilarious
U do funny so cute 😍
