I am with you on recording hunts. How timely. I was stalking through the mountains this morning trying to fill my Colorado tags and reflecting on how much I have always enjoyed the peace, silence, tranquility and primitiveness of moving through the woods with my trad bow. Then I thought, I would never want to try and video this and destroy all that I love about traditional bow hunting. Thanks for the gear drop, I am going to try whitetail in Nebraska this year.

Didn't know you were in Missouri, must be northern if you've got frost already. I run a very minimalist setup too, but use a mystery ranch popup as I'm on public and it's saved my back packing out. Good luck this season, I'll be heading up north in a few weeks for a quick weekend hunt.

I'm a little late commenting, but I respect your decision not to film. And very much agree that that is your time for solitude and reflection. You put out good content and I agree 1000% with your decision.

Yep, I ain't gonna film a hunt. I want to be focused on giving free Jeep rides to any legal deer that comes in range. As for packs and etc. My setup is near identical. If I am out in the National Forest of Texas, New Mexico or Colorado it is a backpack. On my land just a fanny pack. Looks to be the exact model as yours. I have modified it to get a bit more mileage. A water bottle pouch on either side and straps on the bottom to attach a jacket or my leg gators.

H&B forge makes some good Tomahawks... might be more attractive to you purpose wise and weight wise
Love hawks. Only problem with them is the heads do come loose (they are meant to). And makes some fine tasks difficult.
@BackwardsHatNation Yeah but, Tomahawks look cooler and that makes them better😄👍I just love a good Bowie and a Hawk.
