      Oh that's awesome! You totally should! Crochet is a fun and easy hobby to pick up. I also have a Mario Mushroom tutorial that goes a lot slower for beginners, but I'm also hoping to come out with a complete beginner amigurumi basic series soon as well!

    I'm wanting to make a Yoshi doll for my best friend's baby shower. Shes having a little boy and the baby room is going to be Mario themed. Because of this I have really been wanting to make her a Yoshi doll. This is my first arigumi project, and you have made all the steps very easy to follow! Thank you so much!!

    This is a really great tutorial! Thanks! I just want to add, I'm not using a worsted weight yarn (in Australia I think worsted is 10-12 ply and I'm only using 8ply) so I noticed with the arms and legs and the eyes they can tend to get a bit squished and misshapen while I'm working so for anyone else who might be having an issue like this, I find a standard ballpoint pen is a great size to just shove in there to force it out into a round shape again :)

Also I lovee your videos I binge through them when I feel like crocheting because they are just that easy to follow and the fact that the product comes out so good and its a free pattern is a miracle.

    • @garnetgonzalez

    This is really great! I made one and plan on making a larger one too. If I wanted to make a larger version of this, how would I go about it? I tried multiplying the amount for each round by 4 but I just ended up with a mess.

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Harry, you can use a chunkier yarn or try double stranding, or triple stranding your yarn to get a larger Yoshi. There's no easy mathematical way so far, at least that I've found, to making the pattern larger. My only recommendation is for each part is to think in terms of proportions. I also have designed a much larger Yoshi and that one is available as a premium pattern.

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  3 роки тому

      Yes, you can use a thinner yarn and a smaller hook to get a smaller sized one that looks the same. If you have the patience for it, you can even try crocheting with dmc floss and that might be a good size for a keychain.

    Doing the spikes on this, when you state to fold and put it through the stitches are you only putting it through the top loop? I can't quite tell how much of the stich I am supposed to be going through

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  3 роки тому

      You'll want to go through both layers of the fabric and also through all the loops. So just think like you're doing a regular stitch and go through both loops of the first layer and then also through both loops of the 2nd layer, and then finish up your stitch. I hope that makes sense!

    • @kaiashire1060
      @kaiashire1060 3 роки тому +1
