      Ami Amour one more thing, is there a way possibly to create eyes for your tiger Hobbes crochet pattern? Because I don’t have felt or anything like that... that’s just one flaw in some of your tutorials. But that’s totally not your fault as I should probably be the one buying supplies... I was just wondering if you could tell me a pattern for some oval eyes similar to the nose or something... I am not trying to rush you with anything. I love your tutorials so much and felt isn’t going to get in my way. 😅

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  5 років тому +1

      Oh no, I hear you. Felt's not for everyone! If you want to try the eye with yarn, try doing 10 sc into magic ring and sl st into the very first sc to fasten off. Hopefully that can give you an oval shape for the eye that you want! Good luck! If that doesn't work out for you, you can always look into oval buttons or safety eyes as well!

    I know this was posted a few years ago, I was wondering do you have to turn the cap part inside out. I'm not sure what side is the right one. Your crochet site has beautiful things on it by the way!

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, typically the more rounded or beady looking side is considered the "right" side of the amigurumi, and the flatter looking side is considered the "wrong" side of the amigurumi. Hope that makes sense! I find that when I crochet at the beginning it tends to curve the wrong way, so you can turn it inside out as you go and keep crocheting around.

    Can i use 2.5 mm hook with thinner yarn? Am not sure if it will still turn out pretty or just too small...

  • @bbtocino
    @bbtocino 3 роки тому

    I lovee this video!! One thing, I'm having problems with how the shapes of mine come out though :c Rows are uneven and the stitches pull in when they're supposed to be straight (like the stem where it's supposed to go up but mine slowly goes in and just turns into a dome). I was hoping to get some advice on this

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, I would keep on practicing! It could be that you have uneven tension or maybe too tight of a tension, so just keep going and practice keeping your loops and tension consistent. You can also watch my "how to crochet for beginner" tutorial and see if that helps as well with your stitches! Best of luck to you!

  • @Akoz1988
    @Akoz1988 9 місяців тому

    Out of curiosity, do you use bigger yarn and hook in your videos than recommended on the patterns? I've done a few of your projects now, and they have all turned out much smaller than the videos.

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi, I generally use the hook as recommended on my pattern. Sometimes i'll size down to a 4.0mm crochet hook. The size of your project also might depend on how tightly or loosely you crochet. I've also noticed that through the years even though the yarn is worsted weight, the quality of the yarn seem to be getting a lot more thinner than before. So all that may play a role in the size of your project too. Hope that helps!

    • @AmiAmour

      Try to look for the stitches that look like a chain or a v and then try to go under both the loops. Also sometimes the project can turn inside out as you crochet, so flip the project inside out, and hopefully the stitches will look better to you.
