I’m doing a secret Santa with my family and I got a mario lover! This helped me make a mushroom AND learn how to read crochet patterns! Two in one! I love how you lay your videos and explanation out, can’t wait to follow more tutorials! :)
thank you so much for this tutorial! i started crocheting few weeks ago and this was my first crochet project. i will wrap my mushroom and put it under the christmas tree as a christmas present for my sister :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial I made a mushroom for my little brother that loves mario and he loved it ❤🍄 My family and friends are always so supried when they see that 10yo me can crochet better then most people they know 😊
I’m on my third one. Instead of the Chain 2, crochet 6, I made a magic circle because it’s what I’m most comfortable with. Great tutorial. My boys love them❤️
Worked on this throughout the day and made my 1st amigurumi!!!Not a patient human so I had to unravel the cap a few times but I love my angry little shroom. Also my stitches were off but stuffing helped in the end.
You are an absolutely amazing explainer! My mum and I came across your channel and now we are ready to head to the yarn store and try your tutorial. Keep up the amazing work! :D Can't wait to see what else you post!! :)
Thank you! I added a few extra rows before the decrease on the stock still looks super cute! My child loved it and asked for 1,000 more 😂 and I'm not kidding she actually said 1,000 more lol
So easy to make, even for a beginner like me. Thank you for the clear instructions (only problem for me is that I'm in UK so have to convert single crochet to double!). My son asked for a Mario mushroom and he's going to love this.
Hi Sharon I made my yoshi and now I have made a mushroom I did a few more rows in the stem so I cud fit a shaker in it to make it into a rattle for my baby granddaughter , love all your patterns you are so talented thank you 😊Amanda ps I love your kitties 😻xx
Love your mushrooms. I think they’ll look good glued to rocks I have in my yard. I can figure out how to finish, but part two has not posted. Thanks for your vid, well done/explained👍🏽
Just finished this, but I ended up doing a more staggered arrangement of the spots. I think I might've gotten the Mario mushrooms conflated with actual toadstools.
Sorry for the late comment 😐 I’m so happy that you posted a new tutorial!!! 😘 My brother will love this... will try and make it once I am done with my current project... please make more! ❤️❤️❤️
Ami Amour one more thing, is there a way possibly to create eyes for your tiger Hobbes crochet pattern? Because I don’t have felt or anything like that... that’s just one flaw in some of your tutorials. But that’s totally not your fault as I should probably be the one buying supplies... I was just wondering if you could tell me a pattern for some oval eyes similar to the nose or something... I am not trying to rush you with anything. I love your tutorials so much and felt isn’t going to get in my way. 😅
Oh no, I hear you. Felt's not for everyone! If you want to try the eye with yarn, try doing 10 sc into magic ring and sl st into the very first sc to fasten off. Hopefully that can give you an oval shape for the eye that you want! Good luck! If that doesn't work out for you, you can always look into oval buttons or safety eyes as well!
I know this was posted a few years ago, I was wondering do you have to turn the cap part inside out. I'm not sure what side is the right one. Your crochet site has beautiful things on it by the way!
Yes, typically the more rounded or beady looking side is considered the "right" side of the amigurumi, and the flatter looking side is considered the "wrong" side of the amigurumi. Hope that makes sense! I find that when I crochet at the beginning it tends to curve the wrong way, so you can turn it inside out as you go and keep crocheting around.

I lovee this video!! One thing, I'm having problems with how the shapes of mine come out though :c Rows are uneven and the stitches pull in when they're supposed to be straight (like the stem where it's supposed to go up but mine slowly goes in and just turns into a dome). I was hoping to get some advice on this
Hi, I would keep on practicing! It could be that you have uneven tension or maybe too tight of a tension, so just keep going and practice keeping your loops and tension consistent. You can also watch my "how to crochet for beginner" tutorial and see if that helps as well with your stitches! Best of luck to you!
Out of curiosity, do you use bigger yarn and hook in your videos than recommended on the patterns? I've done a few of your projects now, and they have all turned out much smaller than the videos.
Hi, I generally use the hook as recommended on my pattern. Sometimes i'll size down to a 4.0mm crochet hook. The size of your project also might depend on how tightly or loosely you crochet. I've also noticed that through the years even though the yarn is worsted weight, the quality of the yarn seem to be getting a lot more thinner than before. So all that may play a role in the size of your project too. Hope that helps!
I don't have a bigger version, but you can use either chunkier yarn, or double or even triple up your yarn to make an even larger project. Would love to see a giant mushroom!
I would use a hook smaller. I used a h hook (sorry don't know mm) I used worsted weight yarn and the holes were too big and a kid could easily pull out stuffing. Other than that great tutorials
I love this tutorial, but I have a problem. In rows 7-10, my mushroom has become much wider but didn't grow much in height. The circumference is about double yours. Could you help?
It must have been the yarn I was using because I did the same amount of stitches and it says it yarn weight 4..but my mushroom stock came out very small. I will use half double crotchets next time.
Hello I am a beginner and the only thing that really confused me is when you put the marker in to track down and I didn’t know what state you were putting it in maybe because I’m just confused beginner. I’ll figure it out eventually. Ha ha ha
Try to look for the stitches that look like a chain or a v and then try to go under both the loops. Also sometimes the project can turn inside out as you crochet, so flip the project inside out, and hopefully the stitches will look better to you.

Thank you! What a great idea to put a rattle into the stem! 👶🍄
im literally in love with this
Thank you for the pattern. I already made 2 mushrooms. It's a very simple pattern. I might make some more. They are so cute!
Yay so glad you find them fun to make! Make them in every color lol
My cat also likes to play with them.
I am working on this now, in making multiple for my little cousins, and one for myself. ;)
Love your mushrooms. I think they’ll look good glued to rocks I have in my yard. I can figure out how to finish, but part two has not posted. Thanks for your vid, well done/explained👍🏽
What a great idea to have these mushrooms in your yard! Part 2 will be coming later today!
Thank you for making a understandable tutorial love ur vids ❤
Hi Ami. Love your patterns. I can't seen to find yarn for Amigurumi dolls. Never finding the right light beige tone. Can you advise?
Thank you for your tutorial, it was very well done and easy to follow.

@@AmiAmour will do!
These are really easy to make. Thank you 😊
Is there a specific reason for leaving a really long tail? Love the tutorial by the way
Thanks! I leave it long so I can use it to sew the different amigurumi parts together.
so easy to follow
this was very easy im a beginner and this help me so much on becoming a better crocheter thank you again;)
I'm glad to hear it was easy to follow. Each amigurumi project I feel like I'm always still learning, so you're on a great journey! 🙌
Awwww this is soo nicely crocheted. It would be cool if you made a bowser!!!
Thanks! Bowser has a lot of parts to him but he would look very cool!
I like the cat who has nine lives!! 🐱🐱🐱

Can i use 2.5 mm hook with thinner yarn? Am not sure if it will still turn out pretty or just too small...
I lovee this video!! Do u have a bigger version pattern for the mushroom please and thank u love this pattern
I don't have a bigger version, but you can use either chunkier yarn, or double or even triple up your yarn to make an even larger project. Would love to see a giant mushroom!
Can I use a 5.5 hook for this pattern?
Hi could you do Mario in his car 😊please thanks for your tutorials 😊😊
I would use a hook smaller. I used a h hook (sorry don't know mm) I used worsted weight yarn and the holes were too big and a kid could easily pull out stuffing. Other than that great tutorials
Great Video...... Thank You❤❤❤
is there a recipe for Shy Guy crotchet please...?
I love this tutorial, but I have a problem. In rows 7-10, my mushroom has become much wider but didn't grow much in height. The circumference is about double yours. Could you help?
May I ask what the purpose of the increases and subsequent decreases in rows 11 & 12 @ are?
To add rows and make it taller?
Are we able to sell the finished products of your free crochet videos?
Great video!! So cute! 😍 What size are u using for the needle? 😄
I used a 5.0mm crochet hook.
It must have been the yarn I was using because I did the same amount of stitches and it says it yarn weight 4..but my mushroom stock came out very small. I will use half double crotchets next time.
Me too. Might just do an extra round of 20 before decreasing to 18.
Nice but I think a magic ring is a more accurate way to

Hello! I was wondering if you can make a no face amigurumi. It would be super cute!
Hi I have made a No Face amigurumi before, but it's only available as a premium pattern right now.
@@AmiAmour Ok. Thank you for replying. I love your videos.
Thanks for watching! 💖💖💖
Thanks a lot!!!
Can you reply to this if you have some time? I’ve tryed all day but every time I try my crochet gets small I can’t get it through please help me!
Hello!! Do you have a fire flower tutorial??
Hi I haven't made a fire flower, but I hope to be coming out with more patterns in the future!
hello can some1 explain the 1 and 2 thingy I'm so confuse
and my crohet wont go up
If you like this design but, want it to be a normal mushroom all you have to do is remove the eye step. Just a fun little tip🙂
Super Adorable OMG😅🧶
Thank you!
How big is ur yarn?
I’m sorry but when I tried to tighten the circle it didn’t tighten to I couldn’t make it😊
Watching you i can see the stitches easily, but when I do it I get lost and can't find the stitch im supposed to go through🤦🏽♀️
Try to look for the stitches that look like a chain or a v and then try to go under both the loops. Also sometimes the project can turn inside out as you crochet, so flip the project inside out, and hopefully the stitches will look better to you.
What thickness is your yarn?!?
Looks like 4
this is super hard and frustrating for me- uhm is there a certain type of yarn I don't understand?
I'm sorry to hear it's frustrating! I like to use worsted weight, acrylic yarn. Let me know which part is hard for you and I'll try my best to help.
My made just a ball nothing like yours😢😢😢
