    R1: 6sc in magic circle [6]
    R2: (inc) x 6 [12]
    R3: (sc, inc) x 6 [18]
    R4: sc, inc, (2sc, inc) x 5, sc [24]
    R5: (3sc, inc) x 6 [30]
    R6: 6sc,
    R7: 1ch, turn, skip one, 5sc
    R8: 1ch, turn, skip one, 4sc
    R9: 1ch, turn, skip one, 3 sc
    R10: 1ch, turn, skip one, 2sc + 5sc down the arm
    Repeat R6-10 to complete 5 arms and fasten off
    Do the second star with that exact pattern and do NOT fasten off.
    Put two stars together so that the back sides are facing eatch others (tails from the beginning are inside now)
    Combine two stars doing single crochets around the stars
    Stuff the star after crocheting 4 arms. In the middle of 5th arm, stuff that last arm and finish the star

    Found your channel today and immediately attempted to make the star. A little sticky in the beginning but once I figured out the pattern I could pretty much pause until I needed help again.
    I am super happy with the way it turned out. I'm using it as a pin cushion.
    Thank your for going so slowly.

      @@AmiAmourhey I am having trouble on R4 can you tell me what you mean by 2 sc in next st? And sc in next 2 st? I keep getting 28 instead of 24

    • @AmiAmour
      @AmiAmour  4 дні тому

      @@Riverpaws-y7z 2 sc in next st means you're going to do an increase, so it's 2 single crochet stitches in one stitch. And sc in next 2 st means you are going to do 1 single crochet stitch in next 2 stitches only. So the pattern for R4 looks like (xx, x, x) or (2, 1, 1) and you do that 6 times around. At the end, it should equal 24 sts (4x6= 24). Hope that makes sense.

I know you said "about 5sc" - but I was missing the instructions that this number isn't necessary! Either way - super cute pattern! 🙂

    Hi!! semi-beginner crocheter here :) this is my 4th real project! I was wondering if anyone in the comments could give me advice for adjusting this pattern?
    I'm trying to make star-shaped earmuffs by using this tutorial but with super 6 bulky weight bernat blanket yarn. Obviously the star comes out much bigger with the heavier yarn weight. What's the best way to adjust to make it a bit smaller?

    • @faun2639
      @faun2639 Рік тому +2

      Hey I hope I can explain this in a way that makes sense! Because you have much thicker yarn, you will need less increase rounds for your center circle. The number of total stitches has to be divisible by 5 though to be able to make the 5 points of the star. Your points will also need less stitches and rows because of the yarn thickness. It may not be the easiest pattern to adjust with such bulkier yarn, but if you want to experiment, you may be able to do it!
      If adjusting the pattern isn’t working out, try looking for tiny star patterns and using your yarn with the appropriate hook size to your yarn. Maybe a pattern for a small keychain with lightweight yarn would give you the right size with your yarn ☺️💖 I hope that helped a little! Happy crocheting!💚

    I would like to make this bigger for a pillow can you do a tutorial on that? I like how the points a little bit on the rounder side. All the tutorials I’ve seen are pointy tips.
