Oh man, only about 2 months into riding and forced myself into learning on a 250. Feel like I can think about stepping up to a 600 and test rode this exact bike around town and on freeway. The adrenaline surge is lasting a good 2 hours now, still waiting for it to wear off. wow.
1 year ago, I watched this video for the first time and got the same bike. 2009 ninja ZX-6R. 1 year later, I gotta say it's my favorite bike I've ever owned and I'm keeping it for years to come.
@Chaseontwowheels If you liked the 2009 zx6r you definitely need to give the 2013+ zx6r 636 another shot. Your video on the 2013 636 was not a good one.
Been watching your videos for about 2 hours straight and getting the push i needed to buy my firtst bike. Actually i'm now on facebook looking for a begineers one. Cheers bro! Keep doing what you do!
and on my bike I actually have are straight pipe too but it's a full Yoshimura straight pipe from the manifold all the way back to the right of the pipe itself... And it just sounds like a MotoGP bike!...
I think when you were on the current gen 636 you needed to be in full power mode with tc off. You werent really surprised by its mid range but I tell ya, when you turn tc off you get a nice little boost :]
Jonny Moto I don't even know why they put tc and power modes on the newer ones. My 08 R6 has none of that nonsense and it's never been an issue. Rain or shine. It's a handicap
I appreciate the info. Footage was recorded months ago and the filming pipeline for me has changed a good bit since then. Also, saturation adjustments are a preference for the editor along with the grade they choose to go with. It's all whatever the person is feeling like/needs in order to draw out a specific emotion. All that to say there isn't a "right" way to color correct and grade.
Typical Swedish Biker "Fellow vlogger" bro compare your channel size to Chase's and how many videos he has made... Chase has come a long way with his video quality if he had wanted to do what you suggested he could have. It's not that he didn't know he most likely didn't want to which he is free to do.
OK then :D not quiet sure how, but i'll take it. This is cut from Gopro site...There is a flat curve so its easier to manage post production :) "Color - Flat - Results in a neutral color profile that can that can be color-corrected to better match footage captured with other equipment, offering more flexibility in post-production. Due to its log curve, Flat captures more details in shadows and highlights." gopro.com/support/articles/advanced-protune-controls-explained
Cool! :9 i love AMOLED/OLED just for the saturation :) i love the look. This is cut from Gopro site tho, there is a flat curve so its easier to manage post production :) *Also, sorry if it sounded a bit harsh, i can see now that it kindof does. Just trying to help! "Color - Flat - Results in a neutral color profile that can that can be color-corrected to better match footage captured with other equipment, offering more flexibility in post-production. Due to its log curve, Flat captures more details in shadows and highlights." gopro.com/support/articles/advanced-protune-controls-explained
I wish you would have done the first impressions of the 09 zx6r on my Monster Edition lmao. It would have been nice to have my bike get some screen time lmao. Yes the Kawasaki’s sometimes have a tendency to whistle through the gas cap. The 2 bros exhaust sounds great, but I put an M4 Street Slayer on mine and it sounds so much better and it’s louder. I’ve got a Translogic QSXI quick shifter, chain and sprocket kit (+2 in rear, stock front) Puig Green windscreen, Racing 905 race rails, LED headlight bulbs, LEG green side markers, Sprint Air Filter, ASV levers, the bike is phenomenal. I’ve had 2 of this generation of zx6r. I had a 2011 that I basically repossessed after an accident my best friend at the time had, I loaned him the money for the bike and he never paid me back a cent, that’s why I took the bike, but he wrecked it so I had to fix it. Now I have a 2009 zx6r Monster Edition. My first ever bike was a 2007 zx6r, I miss that bike with an absolute passion. My first liter bike was a 2008 Zx10r, I miss that bike too, but not as much as my 07. So yeah we can say I’m a Kawasaki fanboy lmao. Now I have my late best friends 01 Honda F4I stunt bike that I’ll be getting out to the stunt lot like I’ve always wanted to and why he built the F4I like he did. I will definitely be getting a track bike soon, either an R1 or a 5th Gen Zx10r, haven’t 100% decided yet
I was suprised that when i saw you both, because I've watched Joe too. Btw chase...😄😄Man i've never seen somebody to fell in love with bike that much 😃 I think you you need to buy some zx soon
Please ask your friend which windscreen he has on. I have the same exact bike, same year and colour. Really makes it look like a litre bike i love the way the windscreen looks! Great video.
Chase if you get the opportunity you should do a first ride on the new 2017 ninja 1000! Been thinking about upgrading from my ninja 650 and the new tech in the 1000 is very appealing! Love your videos bro! Keep up the good work!
Hay Chason I just got the 06 zx626 and I love it I missed the Halle episode so when you mentioned the name I’m not sure what bike that is it looks like in our one but I think it’s in our six please let me know
Nakata Well when the opportunity presents itself maybe he will upload a video of him doing a first ride on one. I've seen enough reviews personally to know their great and think it would just by oversaturation if Chase made a video saying the same things that everyone else has said.
The Muscle Biker I've seen a few as well as some of the Motorcycle channels reviews. But I've found that reviews are definitely no substitute to actually riding a bike. I never completely understood the ergonomics of supersports until I got to ride the lineup at the demo event I went to over the summer. Thanks to a kick ass instructor who was willing to take us through some awesome curves on bikes we didn't own I got to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I can't wait till my insurance company will cover me for a supersport.
I can answer very easily for you when you ride a bike that you know that is yours for so long you know what RPM to be at and what gear to stay in and you'll know exactly what mile per hour you'll be in and what gear to know how fast you were going especially when you on the bike and know what gear what RPM and how much faster or slower you're going another word if you're cruising in 2nd gear 2000 RPM 3000rpm that you would be doing about 30 miles an hour just throwing numbers out there to show you that some people's by step what happened with them all this one but on a liter bike LOL you can stay in first gear and not even realize that you're doing 50 miles an hour sometimes!... But great video I would love joego101 bike I have a 2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R which one is the for so long and it's so f****** powerful it just pulls you up in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear you could power wheelie all the way in 3rd gear if you wanted to on my ZX6 anyway!.... Then I also have a ZX10 which is just sometimes I think it's just too much power for the side street because you never get out of second gear and if you go to 3rd gear on the streets you already doing a hundred miles an hour!...
I'm confused Chase, because 2 or three years ago you rode the 636 and thought nothing of it, wouldn't want it, didn't want it, didn't like it, thought it was "meh" and now this past year fell in love with it and would want one and would buy one over the R6. I'm confused, by this lol
Don't know if you traded bike's with chaseontwowheels because i barely started watching your channel and i know this is old, his r6 is cool looking but i personally would not trade that zx6r for his r6. I recently came back to sport bike's because i wanted to get mine fixed and running hope things go well with it but it has been sitting in my gsrage since 6/2015. I used to watch chaseontwowheels bitd along with bakerXderek and some other friend of their's yami something, i enjoy watching these video's because it inspires me to get my 2003 636 zx6r running.
I did sit on a 11 GSXR 750 and a 09 636 and he's right about it having a "big" feeling to it. Either way, at 6'2" I'd be installing rear resets and clip ons.
Hey Chase I really love your vids and you've inspired me to get a bike I saw this vid and love the Kawasaki brand bikes so could you do a first ride on a Kawasaki ninja 650 2017 I know you did one on the 2016 butt I was wandering if they ride differently and if it's good for a starter
Does it really have ohlins suspension? You keep pointing at the steering stabilizer and calling it suspension Not tryna hate , I have an r6 and want a steering stabilizer .
Chaseontwowheels you are saying if you are going to get a new 600cc bike it will be Kawasaki and I'm about to make this decision but i'm more like into the CBR 600rr,,,in your opinion witch one you think is better between the 2016 600cc Bikes or even 2017. always enjoy your uploads keep up the good work
@chaseontwowheels in short can you compare this zx6r to the 2013 zx6r(636) because you seem high on this one but you didn't really seem very Into the 636 thanks man!
Big Bear Kawasaki get the zx10. the z1000 feels like a zx10 when under 100mph due to the amount of torque, after the 100 the zx10 is king. the zx14 is too heavy.
Abi J problem with that is, I'm a big guy. ive sat on a z800 and felt very comfortable but it was a little small to me. When i sat on a zx14r it was much more comfortable. Also i forgot to mention that I have a w014 zx6r which rides fine but i feel like i need a bike with more power. I know people say theres no need to get a bike that powerful for the streets but its just so bleeding boring for me.
Big Bear Kawasaki if your touring/city/little track time then the z1000(38-42mpg) is good, the zx14(28-34mpg) would also be fine but your mpg will be horrible. the zx10 is the best choice if you want track/touring/city time. you might want to consider the Ninja 1000, it feels just like a zx10 power wise, but rides like the Z1000.
I ride a 2012 z1000 and it's amazing, I owned a gixxer 1000 previously and it was epic but the Z has all that plus the comfort, maybe not as much top end power and speed but unless you plan on track days or killing yourself then you can live without it haha
Quick question for you. Out of all the 300s you have test ridden, what would recommend for my first bike. Just turned 17 and got my endorsement. Convinced my parents to eat me get a street bike. Never ridden before I like Yamaha
Hey Chase! I myself am a learner rider in australia looking to buy my first bike, although as you may have guessed i'm finding it quite a difficult decision. So far i have decided that i would like to start on a 650cc bike, and i've thought about possibly something like a Yamaha MT-07 (As you probably know that's is just Australia's name for it) or maybe a yamaha FZ6R. But i was wondering if someone as experienced on so many bikes like yourself had any advice for me. Thanks! And keep up the awesome videos
I started on a Ninja 650 and love it. They look pretty cool also, in my opinion, with a somewhat unique swingarm and exhaust location. Check out Chase's first ride video for it; the combo of that and the deal I got when buying it are what sold me on the bike. Suzuku SV650 is also very highly recommended.
Please don't get killed in the road... not before you test ride my Ninja H2!
650ib chase and 650ib partnering up? I'll have more to watch on yt!
650ib I just watched the video of him first riding your Ninja H2!!! Beautiful!
So this is where it started
Oh man, only about 2 months into riding and forced myself into learning on a 250. Feel like I can think about stepping up to a 600 and test rode this exact bike around town and on freeway. The adrenaline surge is lasting a good 2 hours now, still waiting for it to wear off. wow.
by the way Great job on the video :) I had to watch it again :D
1 year ago, I watched this video for the first time and got the same bike. 2009 ninja ZX-6R. 1 year later, I gotta say it's my favorite bike I've ever owned and I'm keeping it for years to come.

I know that bike oh too well lol it's definitely track weapon!!
The Muscle Biker I didn't know you watched chaseontwowheels. Or is it from joego101
You need to review Dan's MAGNA!!! WE BEG YOU!!!! PLEASE!!!
So I've heard.
chase do it
Just do it.
guys can i get 50 subs so i can get a new pc please
Been watching your videos for about 2 hours straight and getting the push i needed to buy my firtst bike. Actually i'm now on facebook looking for a begineers one. Cheers bro! Keep doing what you do!
How did you go?👍🏼
I remember this on Joes channel like 5 months ago
JoeGo101 is lowkey one of the best motovloggers out there :D Doesn't get enough shout-outs
and on my bike I actually have are straight pipe too but it's a full Yoshimura straight pipe from the manifold all the way back to the right of the pipe itself... And it just sounds like a MotoGP bike!...
You never disappoint chase, I can always get home from work and watch while I eat.
That's not a straight pipe. A straight pipe is literally a straight pipe the whole way through. That bike has an end can.
I think when you were on the current gen 636 you needed to be in full power mode with tc off. You werent really surprised by its mid range but I tell ya, when you turn tc off you get a nice little boost :]
That's one bike I'd like to revisit
I want to get my gear ratio suited for more torque, that and a quick shifter :D
Jonny Moto i thought i was the only one who thought that too.
Jonny Moto I don't even know why they put tc and power modes on the newer ones. My 08 R6 has none of that nonsense and it's never been an issue. Rain or shine. It's a handicap
ReaIDeaI1 i agree.
Quick tip from a fellow vlogger, add saturation to gopro footage as it almost has none. Its meant to be added in later.
I appreciate the info. Footage was recorded months ago and the filming pipeline for me has changed a good bit since then. I'm so glad they changed the styling of the zx6r
Nice touch on how you added in the fisherman in your cinematic shots.
love the sound of that thing
I forgot to add that if you get a chance please thanks ride on bro your great
Yaaaaaaaay! You collabed !!!!!!
I remember JoeGo's side of this video a few months back. It's nice to see your side now :)
9:58 "I love the feeling that my butt is totally held" - ChaseonTwoWheels 2016
Yea, sounds like something I'd say. lol
You replied! OMG! Chase, tomorrow is my birthday. Shout-out? Pleeeeaaase!
that sound got into my heart ♥
this will be my first street bike!!!
I love my 2011 zx6r (same as the 09)
i had the 2011 zx6r too! check out my channel man
2cool0 u need to post more vids I subbed so I hope to see some new vids coming out
AndrewTV thanks man!!!! but i sold my bike :'(.....i'll try to post some videos of some cool stuff though.
DAN'S MAGNA!!!!!!!!!!!
11:21 sounds OK! But the #M4 sounds way BETTER!😄

I miss these videos and time man
love both the channels
i literally could throw a rock and it would land where you were at thats how close to me you were
I think the green section on tack is where your variable valve timing rolls in.... no 100% sure but seems that way...)
I miss my zx6r so much.
We know that you already are in love with the Zx series. Can you get the Zx10r now?? I can hear that you love it when you test ride it xD
Honestly man I really do. Performance wise, I'd pick ZX bikes all day long.
chaseontwowheels In visual and looking i prefer the r6 but not over the last model of Zx
It was weird seeing the bike but not hearing "Merry Christmas to me baby" lol
I was suprised that when i saw you both, because I've watched Joe too. Btw chase...😄😄Man i've never seen somebody to fell in love with bike that much 😃 I think you you need to buy some zx soon
Joego101, 1 of the only youtubers that drives like you should :D
You ride how you want to ride. There's no correct way
Happy Smurf search max wrist
the correct way is the safe way actually
anyone else get a "so what's the symbology?" moment listening to Chase?
1:20 is that front tyre put on backwards? i feel like it needs to be the other way
Hello Chase!
What up Robert
Cool video, sweet ZX-6R.
I like those front turn signals they cool
Hey Chase, how come you don't ride with yummi??????!!!!!!
Kawi 6r and gas tank pressure noise since 2004 it means everything is ok!!
Love that sound.
Please ask your friend which windscreen he has on. I have the same exact bike, same year and colour. Really makes it look like a litre bike i love the way the windscreen looks! Great video.

That exhaust looks goofy as hell, but at least it sounds good😂
Hay Chason I just got the 06 zx626 and I love it I missed the Halle episode so when you mentioned the name I’m not sure what bike that is it looks like in our one but I think it’s in our six please let me know
Come to Louisiana and ride my 48 lol
plus I miss riding an R6
got that fancy 'showa' suspension brahhhh 👍
I hope there will be a joego review on your bike compared to his zx. this was one of the my more favourite reviews.
Already was a couple a months ago
So you like this more than the newer 636 you rode? 636 obviously has a more linear powerband.
I just bought a 2016 636 about a week ago and its insane, loving the bike so far
The steering damper needs to be revalved to actually work properly. It is too soft stock due to liability issues. Great bike though obviously
Yep the steering damper is incredibly weak. Got a real bad wobble on. Sold my zx6r about 5 years ago before it tried to throw me off again.
Holy shit, I thought my bike was weird when it whistled at me, must be a 2009 kawasaki thing
My 11 Ninja 250 did it too
Am I the only one reminded of Kakuna when I look at the zx-6r's headlights? Lol
if you ride aprilia rsv4 will love it
It's addicting!!!
Nakata Well when the opportunity presents itself maybe he will upload a video of him doing a first ride on one. I've seen enough reviews personally to know their great and think it would just by oversaturation if Chase made a video saying the same things that everyone else has said.
OspreyBravo18 That's why I make videos on one so you don't have to worry lol
The Muscle Biker I've seen a few as well as some of the Motorcycle channels reviews. But I've found that reviews are definitely no substitute to actually riding a bike. I never completely understood the ergonomics of supersports until I got to ride the lineup at the demo event I went to over the summer. Thanks to a kick ass instructor who was willing to take us through some awesome curves on bikes we didn't own I got to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I can't wait till my insurance company will cover me for a supersport.
Nice warp stabilizer Chase
can u please do a test ride the the new Honda rebel 300 and 500 when it comes out in April because I'm REALLY thinking about getting one thanks
I loved my kawi 600. But I find all 600's put more strain on my wrists than liter bikes. Just so agressively stanced.
Then I also have a ZX10 which is just sometimes I think it's just too much power for the side street because you never get out of second gear and if you go to 3rd gear on the streets you already doing a hundred miles an hour!...
I have asked for a year now. Are you ever going to do the triumph street triple?
With how awesome Triumph has been I think that's very possible in the future.
chaseontwowheels I only ask because I have one it's my first big bike, I'd love to see what you think about it.
I've been praying for over a year, can you please ride a 2012+ ZX14R.
I know this bike too well . you just know this is Joe's by listening to it 😂
ha i have kawasaki z300 and in the summer it does that whistling thing all the time.
you should do a first ride on a suzuki bandit 1200
I watched a couple of Joe's videos. I think he's from MD, right? Did he trailer or ride down?
I'm confused Chase, because 2 or three years ago you rode the 636 and thought nothing of it, wouldn't want it, didn't want it, didn't like it, thought it was "meh" and now this past year fell in love with it and would want one and would buy one over the R6. I'm confused, by this lol
Don't know if you traded bike's with chaseontwowheels because i barely started watching your channel and i know this is old, his r6 is cool looking but i personally would not trade that zx6r for his r6. I have the same, with a Full System got a couple of little flyby videos on my channel
Chase, isn't it when Joe came to visit his cousins and you both met up?
If you feel like switching it up a bit, you can first ride my 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 LT :-)
Best video! My favorite bikes. I Will get one when I get My licens :)
chase you should do a first ride on the CB500FA
How would you compare the ZX6R to a GSXR 750 for a daily rider?
I did sit on a 11 GSXR 750 and a 09 636 and he's right about it having a "big" feeling to it. Either way, at 6'2" I'd be installing rear resets and clip ons.
Getting to Bulbous.. Should be the the thumbnail of this video
Hi chase how's your day been
Well I woke up like 2 seconds ago but so far it's great! Thanks for asking. Hope yours was...awesome...=)
Hey could you do a review of the 2016-17 Husqvarna 701 Enduro or Supermoto?
Hey Chase I really love your vids and you've inspired me to get a bike I saw this vid and love the Kawasaki brand bikes so could you do a first ride on a Kawasaki ninja 650 2017 I know you did one on the 2016 butt I was wandering if they ride differently and if it's good for a starter
I also really like the look of a Kawasaki.
Chase can you please do a first ride on the kawasaki h2.
Hi all. Sorry for a very late question😂 Have a 09 zx-6r and was wondering what grips are on your one please? Thanks!!
hey chase am sagar from India....I just love your videos!😋😊
Does it really have ohlins suspension?
You keep pointing at the steering stabilizer and calling it suspension
Not tryna hate , I have an r6 and want a steering stabilizer .
Likely a year late but the front and rear suspension are from showa, both adjustable. Only the steering damper is from ohlins.
Chaseontwowheels you are saying if you are going to get a new 600cc bike it will be Kawasaki and I'm about to make this decision but i'm more like into the CBR 600rr,,,in your opinion witch one you think is better between the 2016 600cc Bikes or even 2017.
always enjoy your uploads keep up the good work
Think I found my new love
@chaseontwowheels in short can you compare this zx6r to the 2013 zx6r(636) because you seem high on this one but you didn't really seem very Into the 636 thanks man!
Question I'm buying a 2007 Aprilia rsv1000 have you ever rode one and if so what do you think
I want a ZX6R so bad.
chase can you please do a zx14/zx14r? I'm having a hard time deciding which bike to get between zx10r, zx14r, or a z1000
Big Bear Kawasaki get the zx10. the z1000 feels like a zx10 when under 100mph due to the amount of torque, after the 100 the zx10 is king. the zx14 is too heavy.

i dont think its out yet tho?🤔

Is this bike lowered at all?

Chase, did you forget about the Amino app?
C Bop Thanks so much for the info! I really appreciate it :D
I haven't made your decision any easier by expanding your 2 options into 4 but I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you choose!
C Bop Im sure i will!

Bumpin Fuzzz Oh yeah, forgot about that
Why did you choose R6 over ZX6R if it has better performance and it's more comfortable (as you said in the video&comments) ?
