I got one on amazon last fall for $350 put it together ten minutes. It jumps out fast and strong can take grades small hills runs across park dirt gravel paths even woods hauls ass and has balls nothing rides likes it solid metal great tireheight sealed batt so i can ride it in lite snow streets and the handbrake is solid it stops on a dime this puppy is the best priced most dependable anywhere absolutely gets several miles percharge xlnt for gettin around anywhere best nite ridin cycle there is sooo quiet. Best scooter on the mkt for the price runs like a scalded dog dependable. best money i ever spent cheaper than a bicycle!
As someone who owns an electric scooter; the suspension on the scooters, do make a squeaky noise. The squeaky suspension noise is normal. FYI, when I first got my electric scooter, I used a marble bag to hold my mp3 player, and zip tied a cup holder to the handle bars to hold my portable speaker, so I could listen to music while I was riding.
I’ve owned one for 3 years now and have at least 1000 miles on it. Still rides nice
The batteries still have decent charge?
I’ve had a great E-Bike made by E-go I got at Amazon about 6 yrs ago. My husband got one too. We love them.
Nice scooter! I need to get one of those, perfect for my metal detecting adventure!
Great video and thank you for your excellent review! I am also looking for something like this just to have on the side and enjoy the scenery. Love your neighborhood too!
I bought this from Amazon when I saw this video a few months back. And I'm glad I did, the price went up and they still ran out of stock! Believe me, this the buy of a life time for me. I was nervous enough just ordering the darn thing, then when it got here, I could hardly wait to unbox it!
Anyway, as they say, the rest is history. I love my little Razor. I have saved so much in taxi fares it has paid for itself many times over. Now I don't have to inconvenience my family or take a taxi, where a $12 meal ends up costing over $25!
G Roc Perez hey does it have keys?
dont you have any food at home?
Wow your really did a great job convincing me to buy it now haha. Transportation for my household are Uber’s, lyft, bus or walking
Fillip Baum 🤨 .. some people like to eat out. 🤷🏽♀️
Negrodamus We get it, you hate your mother.
My niece bought one from Amazon and she just loves it if it's definitely saved her money and time she doesn't have to wait for the bus or walk a mile after
One of the best reviewer in youtube. Keep it up sir . God bless.
I bought this a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE it! I'm getting a lot of laughs when my friends see me on it, but they also can't wait to try it out. I'm now taking it to work everyday It only takes me 4 minutes to get to work on this thing. You can beat the price either. I highly recommend it! :-)
Do you have any idea what you are paying in energy cost to charge it? Is it noticeable on your electric bill?
I just brought one too! Loving it!
I thank you for the video. Great review. Thanks being honest and pointing out the shakes. I’m a fan of electric transportation. Tho I’ve never Owned anything like this. I still wanna try
Thanks for the review! Bout to buy this for work related transportation. Definitely convinced to continue with my purchase.
This looks like so much fun!!
Something like this would take the place of a car when you only need a few things from the grocery store. The one test you might want to try is how far can you get before the fuel gauge goes from green to a lower state. If you take it to the next lower state, how far have you gone? This would indicate how far you can go and the efficiency of the bike.
I just brought one and love it! It's sooo cute. I put a head light, brake light, side view mirrors and black metal basket, cup holder on the front. Warning, it can not ride over speed bumps! I had to get off and raise it over the bump. Later I saw how I can go around the side of them when possible.
SpecTY Jordan! I have been considering all of the pros and cons associated with the Electric Vehicle industry. I was not aware of a Metro version of the Razor.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!
I hope you don't mind my seeing if you have any recommendations recommendations for me, a "fix-it" at heart, who just doesn't currently hv the energy within to fix motors etc:
What would you suggest to one looking for something they don't need to fix or tune-up?
Best, to & for you and yours!
What a beautiful place l. Love the scenery.
Keyboard Sy, that's what I was thinking while I watched this video. Looks like a great place to exercise. Walk, jog, bike --- whatever.
Finally got to take my scooter out for the inaugural run today and really loved it that is until the battery low light came on and so I had to put it on the charger and I'm currently waiting for it to fully charge and unlike my experience with the pocket mod scooter I didn't crash at all.
Rocking the pogo+ (gotcha)... that's why I was interested in an e-bike/scooter for raiding around the my town and city lol
This thing is awesome. im using mine day in day out for the past 4 months
I know it's been 3 years but Does it still work good
I have one and love it.
Very nice video and interesting price. Thanks for stating the price .
It would be nice to see a wider/more forward foot rest set up on these board type scooters.
Nice video. 1. Batteries, off the shelf or proprietary pack? 2. Effectiveness of brakes? 3. Fit and finish apart from the squeaking noise? Did you get that resolved? Tnx
The problem is that it uses lead acid batteries, a brushed motor, and that means a very short battery life as well as less than a third of the capacity compared to Lithium Ion. The lead acid batteries also weigh 3 times more and that brushed motor will fail due to the fact that it uses brushes vs a brushless motor thats much more efficient.
Great review, informative. I am wondering about the "tune-up" you mentioned?
I haven't had the chance to take it to a bike shop (or wherever you'd take a scooter), but I was thinking at least making sure the wheels were "true" (since they're like bicycle tires, with spokes), the chain was in good shape and well oiled, and the brakes were properly calibrated.
can you do a vlog comparing all the ones you tried or know about? comparison
Thank You so much for your video l had to be sure it was for me..
Thanks.
Yes these types of scooters are great, but the one you chose has no suspension, the Evo or it's similar twins come with full suspension and can go much quicker, but all these scooters are great.
If you are considering an electric bike and don't mind a heavier bike consider the A2B octave what used to be called the metro, I have this bike it's heavy but for people who are larger it's a good bike as it has full suspension and fat tires but being bigger you don't look too big for the bike when riding it unlike many other electric cycles, it's expensive but you are buying a work of art in design.
Would be nice if it could do level two charging. That would take about thirty minutes. I don't think you would want to hot-rod this scooter because it sits high and straight up, so it seems to have a high center of gravity. But Lithium batteries would provide for faster charging and longer rides.
Would this be good for deliveries? (I live in NYC). Anything that can help me would be good. Looking to purchase a electric bike fit for deliveries. Thanks! Good vid btw!
Good review as always. What was the song you use doing your test ride?
Get a cover for your motor to protect against rain and dust and mud. I love this scooter overall, and I like the fact you can do all sorts of mods to it. I would find someone to tig weld the back rack to the frame but with the rack sitting just above the back wheel. You can buy under lighting and frame lighting kits for 20 bucks on amazon too. I found a brilliant indicator for 10 bucks that shows an arrow left or right depending on which way you lean and a signal for breaking and even turning around. Basically there is so much more than I have stated here you can do with that scooter of yours, good luck with and please do a part two if you manage to mod it up.
Are you kidding? A cover for the motor? The motor is that large hub on the rear wheel. How do you propose to "cover" it? And tig welding the carrier... wrong kind of design for that. Watch out about modding: authorities don't take too kindly to modding electric scooter controllers, especially mods that INCREASE speed.
@@loginregional lol I must have been tripping at the time. I was actually involved in an open motor project at the time. You could always put a hub motor on the front wheel and another battery or two on the back rackNothing wrong with tig welding the back rack though for carrying extra heavy weights on it. Authorities don't take too kindly to E Scooters as they are banned round here so putting an xtra 20 mph won't make any difference.
great vlog!!
The Triad Motion scooters are really awesome, they're a trike/three wheel scooter you don't even have to balance yourself and there are other that are kind of like the Triad at a more affordable price, like the Zoome 3 etc....
Question i want to buy one but how fast did it go when you first got on it??? and how long can you ride it before it dies how many miles etc??
Forgive my ignorance ♥️thanks for the video , but does it have a speed setter , or no? Does it come with a phone mount ? Can you ride in rainy weather ? Ty.
ideal for RV camping, needs mud guards and bigger rear basket
I bet you could put a bundle of wood on the back of that.
auto subs - korean to english ( automatic )
THIS IS COMEDY GOLD SIR
Mr. Keyes, this might be what I'm looking for; something in between the E-bike and the rascal. I need something for my Mother & Aunts; whom are all in their 80's, would you recommend this? Thank you so much!
Awesome review looks fun. It's missing wheel flaps for the rain. Should been preassembled with flaps. I like the colors though. Feel sorry for the guy denied bus ride. I know Houston Texas is bike friendly buses. I love their bike communities. Wish I had one these there.
Thank You Loader. I have my eye out, put I'm very heavy so I going for a quad bike four wheels are a lot more stable for me.
Funny.i just modified a razor scooter to use four wheels and added a seat.rides much safer and more comfortable.even added lights.
Jordan, have you fixed the sound trouble in the back end? Do you still like the machine?
What do you do when u get to the store? Do u take it in with you or chain it to something outside? Btw u pick a good song while u was crusin on the scooter
Great stuff . What is the name of that song u played during ur ride??
Great info., thanks for sharing. I've read several other reviews that have complained about rear noise so I'm searching for more info. in regards to that issue, specifically. If you happen to see this, any updates feedback regarding this would be aopreciated....
Interesting video-worth watching
getting this today from amazon so excited :)))
danks brother how did it work out?
How heavy are you? I'm 270 and we also have some decent hills. I think it probably wont work for me.
I got me an Ecosmart this christmas and love it, good quality, but the plastic chain guard rubbed so I just removed it and for a fast scooter it could use a better brake.
Love the soundtrack lol
Wish I lived near protected lanes - would like to make my car my secondary mode of transportation
You won’t as you’re too lazy
@@hymatwat9412 Not too lazy to ride that Razr to ya mommas house.
Mine is coming this coming thursday!! 😄
Angeli Spearman How do you like it? Is it still working good?
ride it to my house
great vid, did you sort out the squeaking motor sounds ?
Cool video, am currently looking at getting one of these for me and another for my wife. Curious as to how you resolved the issues with the noises coming from the back wheel, can you elaborate?
Yes! I don’t know how to tune up the thing! But I don’t want the noise. Help!
It is a bit loud. And it knocks every time you hit the throttle. Otherwise pretty nice. Bought an unboxed one for $400 today and am pretty happy with it
How easy is it to push/ use as a scooter if the batteries run out?
Check out Rad e bikes. That have a fat tired foldable bike that looks awesome
Thanks for sharing the video...is this scooter realible
you can cheaply add a shock absorber seat. Which actually has a gas shock in it. I have one on my scooter and it improves it a lot. Also add a new controller and lithium and you can go way faster than 18mph. The motors are also easily replaced to bigger ones. Therefore these scooters can be fixed to go 25 mph or faster although to go much faster than 25mph is not the best unless you add a front brake.
Where do you add the new controller and lithium?
@@MalanShort im certain the existing controller supports 48v. as for the battery, it's a swap out deal. get the lead out and put the lithium in. also by removing the lead acid battery the efficiency improves as the lithium is so much lighter.
@@cameranmanner4701 Thanks for the reply :) another question, will replacing the battery make it faster?
@@MalanShort i believe so, as you are raising the voltage from 36 to 48. unless there is a speed limiter you should see a speed jump. though i don't know the amount of gain you will get. i would not suggest doing the math on 36v to 48v and apply the percentage to speed value, i don't think it works that way.
There's plenty of foot rest space.
This is perfect for my commute. The only thing that it's lacking is a headlight. Do you know of anything similar that has a little more lighting? Thanks!
Erich Boehm i bought two of these scooters add the lights my self add bluetooth an hotspot an showlights
I bought a headlight and a rear blinking red light for mine also mirror so that I could see what is behind me
Can you swap the seat out?
Nice neighbourhood with nice roads to ride around in scooter.
Hi, what is the specification of the motor used in this experiment and what we get it.???
Look into the RadMini folding fat tire bike from Rad bikes in Seattle.
So I’ve had a few of the razor mx and e series bikes and scooters and that battery gage is very strange because when you start off riding from a full charge it won’t show any signs of the low light but when it’s about half charged and you floor it off from a dead stop then the low light will come on and then disappear once the bike has reached the speed you’ve set it to go and once you’ve been riding it for a while and the low light stays solid when you have your hand on the gas then that means it’s dead and you shouldn’t home and charge it but the full light will always be shining when you let off the gas because the bikes controller thinks it still has charge but when in reality it doesn’t
I have read on the net that if you don’t unplug this scooter after charging I full it will burn out the battery? If I changed to lithium batteries will go faster?
Jordan I was thinking about buying one of these scooters?? I was wondering if I could add bigger or more lithium batteries so I can get more range??? I don’t really know to much about watts, amps @ volts?? Was hoping maybe you might know a little something?? TY for your time and great video my friend!!! I’m BRIAN by the way!! What gave me the idea was the scooter looks like it has a large area for the batteries??!!
I haven't done any modding to the Razer myself, but I know there's a guy named Elton here on UA-cam that did a whole 48V mod to his scooter. Here's one of his videos: ua-cam.com/video/7lV5AFBepCQ/v-deo.html. Supposed to make it a lot more powerful with longer range
Looking to see the ebike.. You can pedal too. So a little exercise will come good too.
You can still scoot without using the power on this one, thats some exercise.
You are wanting an old school 80's moped.
It says somewhere that the green light might come on before 12 hours on the first charge, but you should still leave it for 12 hours just for the first charge.
That's what I did. Follow the instructions is best.
I would totally use an electric bike or scooter if i didn't live in the middle of the country. It looks like you live in the suburbs. How do you find it works for you? What is your commute? What do you use it for daily?
What did you get for an ebike? I been wanting a Sailnovo but got a Wooken instead because of hidden fees..
I bought it too. My first test ride tomorrow. I have a little oil canister from my old classic bike but I hope I will not hear the squick...
What's the max range?
I put a 1000 watt brushed motor and use 40v ryobi batteries (3, 4ah) on mine. Can charge it in an hour from dead, i changed gearing also. 26mph on flat ground, well over 30 downhill which is crazy dangerous actually. Range isnt great, about 8 to 10 miles. But it sure is fun. 10x better than new.
Nice bike. You should try and get a Phantom Gogo R1. That's an electric scooter, it's a bit slower though. Top speed is 15mph
Add some lights and mirrors and it's perfect
Thumbs up #864 You are reporting on a scooter that is brand new! You know little about the battery, like how long it will last or how long before it loses it ability to charge and you have to spend money to replace the battery and other parts. We don't know if you resolved all the squeaks and if you found a way to soften the bumpy ride. Please do a follow up video!
BackToConstitution 1.5-2 hours
How many miles can it go on one charge?
Yourdailygracie that depends on the terrain I get about 6-7 miles out of mine but I live in a rather hilly area
Very good job
Me and my friend have a razor E300 electric scooter but we are putting a motor on it and trying to make it sort of a hybrid
Another pleasant valley sunday
Yay i got mine on Prime day for $311 I can’t wait to get it Friday!
Even 311 for me but I could not pass it up. It’s a blast right?!! I have been wanting one for a while.
@@thedrisk2037 so how are you enjoying your scooter?
TrueAudioProductions 2TOO liking it fun and great for groceries people all like it. Except some obnoxious haters!
Rad mini looks fun.
Can you fit this in the trunk of a car? Is it easy to take apart and put back the handle of the bike?
How's it holding up 2 years later?
That was fun!! 👍
Where did you get the phone /Camara holder on your ride ?
luv the video review.
Q. What is the song that you play at (4:05)?
The original title was "Angel by Anita Baker" but what is the name of this remake?
Thx.
Hey bro ! I have 4 electric bikes.....I highly recommend Easy Motion electric bikes but only buy from an authorized dealer so that you can get the 5year warranty.
Darren Jackson Easley motion Electric
Is there a safe way to lock it when at the store?
I’m so confused, did you try two different scooters? I guess I understood that you like the second scooter more. Can you let me know
I have, and prefer an E-bike. I ran out of battery already and could peddle home. Also it's a little excerise for me at 67 yrs old. But the scooter is neat....thanks
Looks good tbh
Wow that's freaking fast its blows my brain out hehe...
Hey. Are you over the 220lb limit? Im heavier than 220 what do you think would happen if you went beyond the 220lb limit?
Just curious on where you got the info on changing the batteries over to Litho , and how would you put 48V through a system that calls for only 36V , unless you changed everything out ( controller, motor , throttle , etc ) ?
Still wondering this metro they stillmake it now, but only goes 15 I think
@@StarInmySkye Bought a used one of these and sold it immediatly . Too slow , ugly , etc. I loved my Uberscooters. Updated them to lipo battery packs (48V 10000 mAh) and they would do 30mph for me . Uphill was no big issue either.
Great video again I love my scooter beats walking to the store
This is the same Razor pink vespa style girl escooter or boy emotocross with the shell removed. They stuck a bit torquier motor and two more batteries on it. Same wire wheels, same undercarriage, same drive mech. I bought one of the vespa toys for my daughter at 10. It lasted a couple of years before the battery was dead, but she rode it a lot. She sold it to a lady who put another lawnmower battery in it. I used to see these adult versions all over my village bike paths and dog walk paths back around 2010.
Thing about scooters. They make more sense than eBikes for 2 mile town runs. They take less space, some can fold, they're lighter and they can transport easier since they have tiny wheels. HOWEVER bicyclists do not want these things in their turf. Pedestrians don't want them on their turf. Cops don't want them in the streets outside a Leave it to Beaver house street. Just like many car drivers don't want bikes in their lanes or pedestrians don't want bikes on the sidewalks. Thus you see the fights in cities with scooter eShare services.
Novelties need to sync up with reality. Various vehicles can coexist as long as all participants know what the vehicle is GONNA DO- and the majority of riders DO NORMAL STUFF.
love it
I had a similar but smaller scooter 20 years ago which was a lot of fun. It came in handy after my car was totaled in an accident. Only problems were the tires would always go flat and the battery range was only 10 miles or so. Looks like they haven't really improved much in 20 years.
I'm 15, this would be awesome for me because I can't drive and I live kinda far away from my school
That'll do! but then.. how do you lock it up?
Kyle Ruggles with a lock
He can take it into the office and say "Can you keep this in here daily, and I will pick it up when school is done for the day"
Lock it form the wheels
from the frame.
i recomend you to check the Shareroller!!!
