- I got this great idea from an fellow RCG member and made many of the additional enhancements and ideas I got from other members there as well. An OUTSTANDING design and works great for just about any type of plane
Brett you are to be commended for your design and it's simplicity and effectiveness
Here is a couple of links to the RCG pages where he made his at

Awesome, Great video Brandon!
I keep waiting to see you mount the X-8 and see it taking off!
I already did many years ago. Dont use it much any more. Sold the X8. Though I do break it out once and a while. Didn't much like the X8, but do like the Buffalo.
Very well done Brandon!
Thank you :)
hi brandon, great catapult, in minute 6:50 you explain about equipment to join two tube aluminium, what is it called?
Hi Brandon, nice work! What are those clamps called? They look fairly robust
If you check out the link in the description. ...they should be listed there?
Yes, I was looking, I noticed you said you found them on eBay... a cursory look didn't show anything too promising, was just wondering what words you used to search that brought those up, no worries.
Jay Savage ....I'll lol back on my stuff and see if I c an find a link to them....I believe you can also find then on Amazon.com
Jay Savage here is the amazon link i bought mine at....hope it helps some www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FH3APCI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Jay Savage I actually got mine on eBay like I said on the video, but I also bought several spares from amazon as well....that is the link above for them
why use a pencil, when you can build a pen capabale of flying to the outer limits of the universe and starting a second Earth... : P
Nope, it won't work with X8... Too short and/or weak... For 3.2 kg X8 launch, to the minimum 15 m/s exit of the ramp speed, from 2 meter launch ramp, you need at least 200 N CONTINUOUS force along the ramp!!!
