Hello! One year has past since your video upload and now next week is Christmas again... Merry Christmas 🎄 😊
I have the same grill brand new in a box and was thinking about breaking it in for the holidays like you once did. How did your prime rib turn out? It looked like your solution was going to work out fine. Wishing you a great new year too 🍾 🎉 2022 👍

Thank you! Sorry for the late reply. I thought I had already responded. the grill works great. the method I used is the same method I adapted to use every time I smoke meat in it. it does keep the grill a lot cleaner and better for storing in the RV without a lot of clean-ups. I literally was surprised by the results. this grill has enabled me to get rid of my BBQ and traditional smoker. I hope your meal turned out the same. thanks for watching.

The big question is how was the clean up?

The clean up was easy. the big reason i sed the drip tray. the little bit on the lid.. no problem. yep, loving this little smoker. then my wife decides to go vegetarian on me....LOL. So now I cook smaller portions and it actually works quicker and tastes just as good.

So how did your smoking go with your barbecue smoker and grill

@@crusin73 I got mine today. How are you keeping the chips from catching on fire?

@@JJ-sv9kh When smoking there are 2 ways, I have used the smoker tray, (1) soke a tray full of chips for an hour before you start cooking, then use those in the chip tray. (2) the tray has a cover, only use the smoker burner first, let the chips burn. I tried using 2 trays, but the smoke flavor became too strong. So now I line the tray with tin foil, fill with desired wood chips, put the meat on the smoker until it stops smoking, then I turn off the chip burner and turn on the 2 side burners very low, trying to keep the temp between 200-300 on average. it also will depend on what you are cooking. after you use it a few times you will see what and how you will need to adjust to make it work best for you. good luck I am still enjoying what I take off ours. One thing I have done is use a drip tray and grate to keep most of the grill clean. I can also use the drippings to make gravy if wanted for the meal.
