I think a good question at this point is whether or not the government even has control of its bureaucratic institutions and to what extent they have been ideologically captured. I can confirm this miling about, by the same types of people, is also happening in my city, in Canada, in what used to be a decent place in the downtown where all our theatres and philharmonic are located. I used to enjoy walking through there on my lunch breaks and on the weekends, but now when I drive by, am simply put off. As a woman, it looks dangerous to me now. Why are we leting these people in? They bring no benefit to our economy, which our politicians say is the overiding factor behind needing mass immigration, and are definitely a threat to the safety of regular Canadians that are trying to just walk around and enjoy our city.

As the 80s became the 90s I became a home owner - a single bloke in an unskilled blue collar job was able to save enough and work hard enough to buy a house and pay a mortgage all on his own. 25 years later, once the mortgage was paid, my wife & I were able to invest more in our little buisness and get ourselves to the point now where we are now financially independant and comfortable.
I recognise that someone today starting from the same point I started from has a negligible chance of achieving what I did. Each successive generation should have MORE opportunities than previous ones, not fewer. This is a failure of government, nothing else.

A story regarding illegal migration. My mother is 72 and lives in Dover by the coast with her partner in a big terraces house with many bedrooms. They have social friends who work for Borderforce or as I call it, “All are welcome here force”. When you ask most people who want illegal migrants and welcome them to the UK, if they will house a illegal, they would say yes BUT only if they had space and they don’t have any right now 😅.
My Mother is one of those I argue with about illegal migration, pointing out there is a difference between illegal migration and asylum seekers. Her borderforce friend came to her saying that the majority of the people who arrive on the shore illegally, are put in hotels and that’s fine since near all are fighting age males. However, one was a couple male and female, that the borderforce didn’t want the only female from Uganda to be in a hotel filled with just men for safety. The borderforce friend then pointed out since all my mother and her partners children have moved out, they have three spare bedroom and would they take this Uganda couple? My mother didn’t want to lose face and agreed to allow these strangers to move in with them and live there, all because she couldn’t find an excuse as to why she didn’t want random Uganda illegal migrants living with her. 😂
I couldn’t believe what position she got herself in and she wouldn’t listen to reason. My mother has MS - Multiple Sclerosis and has no memory so she forgets things often… so she tells me in a quiet voice all the time “Did I tell you I have people living with me from Uganda? They are black!” because she thinks she hasn’t told me due to her disability. I shake my head because she got herself in this situation living with two random illegals until a house is available for the couple to move out. There was nothing and is nothing I can do to make her see reason and her partner refused to listen about the danger. Though I fear, she will now have to accept more as a result of being brow beaten into accepting this couple too. 😂

I tried repeatedly to say that it her choice to say no and she can say no without explaining or if she wants for safety concerns but she didn’t want to let down her borderforce friend. Her partner refused to listen to reason. His children call me racist for not wanting random illegals to live in my mother’s house. My mother could have refused but didn’t because she was keeping up appearances. You can’t force a parent to agree to something they ideologically believe. Applied for PIP, legally disabled, wanna work and do just can't do full time hours so need a bit of support. Got told to do one...because I can walk 200m (Not sue what they has to do with anything), paid into tax for over a decade before my injury born here and so were my parents.

Falling GDP is not much of an issue for the average person, it only hurts people who own stocks or multiple houses. Coincidentally all of our politicians fall into the latter group...
Ehhh... a falling GDP indicates that your country isn't producing (either good or services). It is an indicator of an established country's workforce ability. Who makes up the majority of the workforce in Western countries? Poor people? Rich people? Or middle income "average" people? If the productivity of average people is falling, how is that NOT a bad thing for them?
Excess government spending and money printing against economic growth causes inflation.
This directly negatively impacts the average person.
Plus if the UK is anything like the US the government exports their retirement accounts to account management corporations who invest that money.
So bad markets and slow growth mean more printing to fund the pensions. This means more inflation.
GDP per capita while not perfect is a solid metric for measuring a countries success. So you really shouldnt be this dismissive of it.

Legal migrants are usually professionals, e.g. Australia, New Zealand. Western migrants are usually professionals. When David Cameron was PM he said that anyone earning less than £36,000 a year would have to leave the country.
He also promised a 100,000 cap on net migration and a bunch of other stuff.

I constantly show him these vids and tell him and he hates politics and exclusively get all his info from main stream media. Why don't you get your engineering industries going again as a means of contributing to your GDP as opposed to proping up your flailing economy with cheap imported labour? And if you do come across any "native" British engineering managers who are sabotaging Britain's engineering intrests for their own personal gain, instead of supporting industry in Britain and helping to generate wealth for the country as a whole through manufacturing,.......well I'll leave that up to you as to what to do with them.

In Ireland it was revealed in 2013 that Nigerians sent home €0.5 billion per year while Poles sent home €150 million. There were 17,000 Nigerians with an unemployment rate of 62%, whereas there were 170,000 Poles with an unemployment rate of 15%.
