ciao, sono italiana è voglio dirti che il video mi è piaciuto :) Tuttavia mi piacerebbe precisare alcune cose su quello che hai detto (sto usando google traduttore perché non mi fido abbastanza del mio inglese, comunque lascerò lo stesso il testo in italiano):
1) "il Canto degli Italiani" è maschile. La lingua italiana ha due generi: maschile(m)e femminile(f). Gli aticoli determinativi (ovvero uelli usati per parlare di un/una oggetto/animale/persona specifico/a) sono al singolare lo(m)/il(m)/la(f) e al plurale i(m)/gli(m)/le(f); l' è usato davanti alle parole che cominciano con la stessa vocale con cui termina l'articolo. Gli articoli indeterminativi (usati per parlare di un/una oggetto/animale/persona generico/a) sono uno(m)/un(m)/una(f)/un' (f). Ci sarebbero poi anche le preposizioni articolate, ma sono un discorso più complesso quindi tralasciamole.
Inoltre gli articoli sono sempre concordati in genere e numero con il nome a cui si riferiscono, per esempio "the cat" in italiano potrebbe essere "il gatto(m)" o "la gatta(f)". Le desinenze per il maschile singolare possono essere -o,-e, per il femminile singolare -a, per il maschile plurale -i, per il femminile plurale -e. Esistono alcune eccezioni come "uovo(m)"(egg) che al plurale cambiano genere "uova(f)"(eggs) perché hanno mantenuto la desinenza neutra latina in -a, oppure che presentano due plurali, ma sono poche.
2)Il realtà il nostro inno non è "come se l'Impero Romano non fosse mai crollato", quanto l'esatto contrario! Dopo la caduta dell'impero Romano d'Occidente infatti la penisola italiana è sempre stata divisa tra numerosi stati (gli Stati Italici), molti dei quali sotto potenze straniere come Spagna, Austria, o il Sacro Romano Impero (per esempio il Regno di Napoli, alcuni invece sono rimasti indipendenti fino alla loro caduta (come la Repubblica di Venezia), altri ancora conquistati e sottomessi da altri stati italici più potenti. I più importanti di questi stati erano (durante l'Alto medioevo e il Rinascimento, perché molti di questi stati hanno successivamente cambiato nome, si sono fusi o sono caduti) il Regno di Sicilia, il Regno di Napoli, lo Stato Pontificio, la Repubblica di Firenze, La Repubblica di Venezia, la Repubblica di Genova e il Ducato di Milano, ma erano molti molti di più, in particolare nell' Epoca dei Comuni (tra il 1000 e il 1300), e tutti questi stati erano quasi costantemente in guerra fra loro. Ognuno di loro ha poi sviluppato una propria lingua e cultura, che persistono ancora oggi.
La seconda strofa lo dice apertamente "Noi fummo da secoli calpesti, derisi, perché non siam popolo, perché siam divisi" e continua subito dopo spronandoci a unirci e combattere per diventare un' unica nazione libera dall'oppressore straniero "raccoglierci un unica Bandiera, una Speme, di fonderci insieme già l'ora suonò".
hello, I'm Italian and I want to tell you that I liked the video :) However I would like to clarify some things about what you said (I'm using google translate because I don't trust my English enough, however I'll leave the text in Italian anyway):
1) "il Canto degli Italiani" is masculine. The Italian language has two genders: masculine(m) and feminine(f). The definite adjectives (i.e. those used to speak of a specific object/animal/person) are lo(m)/il(m)/la(f) in the singular and i(m)/gli(m) in the plural )/the F); the is used in front of words that begin with the same vowel that ends the article. The indefinite articles (used to talk about a generic object/animal/person) are uno(m)/un(m)/una(f)/un'(f). There would also be articulated prepositions, but they are a more complex matter so let's leave them out.
Furthermore, the articles always agree in gender and number with the noun they refer to, for example "the cat" in Italian could be "il gatto(m)" or "la gatta(f)". The endings for the masculine singular can be -o, -e, for the feminine singular -a, for the masculine plural -i, for the feminine plural -e. Sono quasi tutte vecchie capitali di stati italici, quindi possono darti una buona idea della diversificazione culturale in Italia. Se riesci cerca di venire in una stagione con basso afflusso di turisti come Ottobre/ Novembre, perché qieste città risulteranno più "autentiche" (non gigantesche trappole per turisti), e mi raccomando fai una visita a una città minore e ai piccoli paesini. Inoltre cerca di non mangiare solo pasta e pizza (anche se la pizza a Napoli è assolutamente da provare, in fondo è nata lì;)), abbiamo molto di più da offrire! Ricerca la cucina tipica regionale, e chiedi ai locali le loro preferenze per evitare le trappole per turisti
4) Un consiglio: ogni volta che ascolti un inno nazionale, cerca per la traduzione e soprattutto per la storia del paese a cui appartiene, ti aiuterà sicuramente a comprenderlo meglio
5)Piccola curiosità: in realtà l'iino nazionale dell'Italia è più vecchio dell'Italia stessa! È stato composto da un rivoluzionario patriota genovese chiamato Goffredo Mameli (motivo per cui viene solitamente chiamato "Inno di Mameli") nel 1847, mentre il Regno d'Italia è stato unificato nel 1861.
Il periodo di unificazione italiana viene chiamato Risorgimento è va dal 1815 (Restaurazione, dopo la sconfitta di Napoleone) al 1871 (presa di Roma).
