National anthems are sung prior to international games and finals like yesterday's FA Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea (both teams have German managers) - Liverpool won. Congratulations to Ukraine for winning the Eurovision Song Contest BTW. Thanks for uploading, ladies. 😎😁🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇦
eurovision 2022 was fixed for ukraine to win, how is a wartorn country able to host? plus it's also illegal to travel to ukraine? at this moment in time?
The Eurovision voters robbed either the UK or Spain of the victory and continued to prove how corrupt the voting is. They changed it to make it fairer buy made it worse.
"Bird" is a modern version of the old English word "burd" (first coined in the 13th century) meaning "maiden". Over the years its spelling changed from burd to bird because it sounded like the more familiar word, bird, so it ended up being spelled like it too. It's possible that "burd" could also be the result of a 12th-century semantic shift from the Old English word brȳd, meaning bride. "Fit" just means attractive.
Some chants are specifically aimed at a single team and last for years, some chants just get a persons name changed to keep the current, some are spontanious and start with a small group and spread - dont forget the lyrics are pretty simplistic and usually based on a well known tune.
Chants become common over time, yes. But bear in mind chants are developed 1) with generally simple words and 2) to commonly known tunes. Seriously, you can pick up most of our chants before you finish hearing it for the first time. That's one of the beauties of them - they sound great (especially if insulting enough) but can be picked up by everyone quickly.
Tailgating isn’t a thing here. Stadiums are usually in built up areas. Lots are actually close to residential area, in the case of my team, Newcastle United our Stadium, St James’ Park is in Newcastle City Centre. The culture is pubs and bars before and after games.
Great reactions girlies. Two reasons Argentina aren't liked much, 1, Falklands,2, Maradona who cheated us out of the world cup with a handball into the goal.
I dont think its just those two things,, theres a geniune dislike of the argies because of their personalities and they are quite arrogant and they love the dark arts (a footballing term meaning they use underhanded tactics and time wasting). I think theres more of an edge to an Argentina game than even a Germany game, footballing wise that is. Portugal are another, although the Dutch have a bigger dislike of them,, Holland Portugal games always have a lot of needle,, 2006 world cup was a great example 😂.
Tail gateing has a total different meaning in the UK, and the chanting starts when you wake up on match day stops when you fall asleep or locked up or go to a&e , it's so much fun xxxx
In England/ Britain the national anthems are reserved for special occasions. They are only played at cup finals and national team matches. Historically because members of the royal family would attend.
Glad to help. The question about tailgating. Traditionally football matches would be at 3pm on a Saturday. Why, because most people worked until 12pm. That gave them 3 hours to get home wash go to the chippy and the pub on the way to the game. People didn't have cars. It's something we still do.
Not really into football so I didn’t know 99% of these, but they were funny! I did a gig in a club after a World Cup game in July 2021 when England won 4-0, so we played ‘We Are The Champions’ as the last song. That was a very epic moment! See you Tuesday 🙂

I got a laugh out of that one, gotta love the kid in the lift. Most of these are specific to the match baiting the foriegn teams fans. It's a biggest noise competition. You may consider reacting to the unofficial England team anthem " three lions on the shirt ".
National anthems are usually sung at international games. Most of the scens you watched were of England fans on tour. We have a reputation for always having the most travelling fans in every sport we play. Cheers from the UK!
We know what "birds" are now! Please be respectful in the comments. As we said, we went with this more tame version & didn't react to the other because we just didn't want to! Don't forget the Special announcement at the beginning! Thanks for watching ❤️
You picked the right one girls! The 'other one' has some nasty comments and bad words - which you really don't needt to hear - and is the biggest factor in fathers no longer taking young children to enjoy the game!! Take care and enjoy your Sunday.
the art of chant making does have its main well known ditties everyone is at least vaguely aware of, they are generaly short and easily remembered and copied so picking up a crowd chant isnt hard even when they are spontaniously formed. though ill admit im more of a fan of the more brash versions of chanting. most clubs do have a mainstay chant which are often formed from or around popular songs e.g. liverpools walk alone, west hams i'm forever blowing bubbles etc. and they can have there own historical chants i.e. fields of anfield road, singing of past glories, and the differnce it can make to players on the pitch is quite undeniable when the stadium sings as one. i recomend looking in to these if you want to avoid the more "ahem" adult ones, maybe start with ua-cam.com/video/GnFOqz41Lcw/v-deo.html
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow oh they do here as well, but people are much more relaxed about it. they better learn early who the enemies are and how to treat them 😂also just for a better understanding of the level... The feeling of when going down Northumberland Street in Newcastle when some start chanting, usually most domestic clubs/squads have their stadiums outside of the places where they are. Isn't the case with NUFC, is honestly amazing. It can either be a group or one person and then it catches on and some like in NUFC's case the Blaydon Races, was written by Geordie Ridley in the think 1860s, was about a fictional accident at a Victorian cart race in Blaydon Gateshead and for some reason the NUFC supporters started chanting it in the ground. ua-cam.com/video/iFSdm5y6dps/v-deo.html mostly translated version ua-cam.com/video/USlNonJUXok/v-deo.html and for the 150th anniversary ua-cam.com/video/m_Ud6wkYNAs/v-deo.html NUFC's crest is practically identical to the city's Coat of Arms, with the two seahorses with NUFC's the black and white shield, but the city's coat of arms having the shield in 3 sections with the 3 castles, what one giving Newcastle it's name, the old castle burnt down, was called Pons Aelius Latin for Hadrians Bridge.
Some of these take place in fan parks during tournaments, like the world cup. Also this is the England nationall team, you will see people doing this in pubs and other venues when the team plays. There are some videos showing people's reactions.
Another great reaction video ladies, if you want to see a full stadium singing together try Liverpool FC fans singing "You'll never walk alone" in Melbourne , Australia. It's epic.!
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow omg apparently its tradition for scousers to boo the national anthem. I never knew that...and Liverpool were voted "City of culture"
I love your reactions - and this was no exception! I have been going to football matches since I was a small child (I'm now 61) and football chants have always been a part of the game .... I love them (even when they are a bit risque!!) I lived in the city of Norwich & our local rivals were the town of Ipswich - one of the chants that used to be used against them was "We've got a Cathedral!" .... childish, but funny at the time! Also, if someone had fainted & had to be taken out of the crowd by the Red Cross, the crowd would often make the ambulance siren sounds (nee-naw nee-naw) as the poor volunteers arrived! (not when someone was obviously seriously unwell) .... it's a real cultural experience to go to British football matches!!) 😂
Ignore if I've repeated. 1. One will start the song, the next guy joins in then so on. 2. The anthem isn't usually sung, unless it's against another country
none of the things shown in this video are what you would call too dramatic or offensive, there's a lot worse than that, and certain teams in europe have fan groups known as 'ultras' who take mob violence and football chants to a totally different level, and while it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be here in the UK (for the most part), in certain countries in europe they have some pretty bad reputations, romania is a well known one, there's a few in greece, and several in germany/italy, it's partly due to these old fan groups that used to cause a lot of damage and physical harm to rival fans and such that we have segregated fan areas, and why you will never see a stadium full to capacity with rival fans next to home fans, there's always a set amount of space between fans where no seats are allowed to be sold when it comes to international games, for domestic league games there's a few stadiums where they have set seats for away fans (generally newer stadiums), older stadiums have 'away ends' that are policed by marshals and the police itself on match days to keep fans apart.
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow while i can't speak to the other nations, in the UK at least back in the 70's/80's you had the 'firms' (a slang term in english for a company/corporation) and while now there might just be one group of 'ultras' for a team, back a few decades ago a single football team might have 3-4 or more 'firms' that would often go to games with the express intent to fight, either with other firms of the same team, or with rival firms, watching the match and supporting the team were secondary, it was all just gang violence and riling people up, if you want a good movie to watch surrounding this type of thing i recommend 'football factory' from 2004, or if you want a more dramatic 'movie' style film then you could also watch 'green street' which stars elijah wood.
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow depending on the country, ultras are different, but in most countries, ultras are the extremist faction of a club, often times, the political affiliation of the clubs fan base is expressed through those and yes, no matter how hard officials are trying, politics is a part of football, always was, this is one "chant" that might clarify things a bit, ua-cam.com/video/-OlSOhkUZYY/v-deo.html

6:20 Birds = girls. 8:09 Normally our chants are songs or hymns that someone’s changed the lyrics too to fit the situation, a majority of people will know the tune and then pick up the changed words. 11:10 I think we do in big games but I don’t think so in smaller games (sorry if I’m wrong) 13:50 this is definitely a tame version because as watchers get progressively more dr#nk they lose there filter and go wild 15:03 there have been lots of fights (but I am unsure if thing have gotten so bad someone’s d!ed) normally you do have to be careful because depending where you are you could get attacked or harmed by the opposite team 15:19 they have to keep them separated because some people are so invested in there team that they would fight anyone who supported a different team and it might become serious quickly, it also help with chants 19:47 actually I think that the chants shown where either in the game or before it eg. ‘I’m England till I die’ and ‘we’re on the p!$$ and we’re having a laugh’ 20:27 yes lots of chants and dr!nking going on when your walking there and waiting outside and in car parks
Best one I ever heard was when Wigan played Forest Green Rovers (a team with a Vegan policy!). One FGR player was tackled and stayed down on the pitch. The crowd chanted “ That Vegan bastard, he’s eating our grass”. As a supporter of Charlton Athletic, I don’t often have much to celebrate, but at one game I was at, Charlton were playing the top team in the division, and no other team had scored more than one goal against them so far that season. The score got to 5-1 against Charlton, who then scored again, prompting a chant of “Easy, Easy, we want three”!! The best ones are not only funny but spontaneous and unique.
Hello ladies, did you know England and The U.S.A are playing each other at this year's world cup in Qatar in december. Maybe you could do a livestream watchalong, I'll get the beers and pizza in 😘
Basically, you take any popular melody that every one knows, make something up that's funny and then keep singing it out, if it's good others will join in and it just spreads, if it's a particularly good one it'll stay all night, typically the melodies chosen are from classic songs closely related to football from the past. Sometimes you get like one guy who is like the conductor and basically leads the orchestra haha
The spontaneity of chants can vary. A few are very much of the moment. Others are rather generic and simply spread around different clubs, and the national team. The ‘Don’t take me home’ chant was originally sung by Newcastle fans at away games. ‘Vardy’s on fire’ was originally sung by Wigan fans about Will Grigg. ‘Cheer up Gordon Strachan’ is one that’s been adapted loads. Again originally Newcastle fans, in the mid 90s directing it at Peter Reid then manager of Newcastle’s local rivals Sunderland
It comes from Sunderland fans singing for Peter Reid. ..then next team of fans was Newcastle taking the piss...now every club fans users it to attack there 'enemy'
@@pauljshields123 Aye that’s right. Sunderland fans originally sang it in praise of Peter Reid (I’ve a feeling they may have released it as a single) then Newcastle took it and they were the first to turn it into an insult and then Newcastle’s insult version caught on and was adapted by loads of teams
Because football is the counties main sport really and fans get very passionate and the singing is pretty amazing, most football clubs have thier own songs each teams fans sing.
The England Cricket team fans are called the Barmy Army, you should give them a look, especially when they are touring Australia they have a huge range of songs and chants which are funny and aimed at the Australians or Convicts as we refer to them and the Penal Colony they now inhabit., A lot of these chants are sang at club games with slightly altered lyrics
I know this is about English football chants, but a fun one we Scots did was when we played the mighty Italy some years ago. One myth that was turned to reality was that we deep fry anything - even Mars Bars. This urban myth was actually made real, and now the deep fried Mars Bar is hugely popular. Anyway! We were playing them in Italy and we keep singing to them, "Deep fry your pizzas! We're gonna deep fry your pizzas". And now, deep fried pizzas is a thing, and you get it by ordering a "piiza crunch" in Scottish chip shops.😉
The ones about not going home and Please don’t take me home are at tournaments so it’s in reference to winning and staying in the tournament. You lose you get knocked out and go home. Also national anthem is played before international games.
My favorite chant of all time, referenced Bobby Zamora, of Brighton & Hove Albion fame, who developed a habit of spooning the ball into orbit, rather than scoring a sitting goal: *To the tune of 'Amore' 'If you're in row Z. And the ball hits your head. That's Zamora...'
I admire your stance on vulgarity - it is all over the place... I can take it and find humour in it, but it doesn't mean I want to see it at every turn. Good for you two for sticking to your guns...... I'm sure many will be happy to support the aim of your channel.
@@colinallison9163 - you are right and I enjoy that humour like any Brit would, the point I was making is that the girls have an absolute right to deciding the content on their channel. I also agree that some of the chants are very creative and I think only Brits can do this well.

Trust me it breaks out into fisty cuffs (full on fighting) especially between teams like man utd v man City or Manchester United v liverpool I'm a Manchester Red (United) so the separation of supporters is vital.
I'm a sad Scottish bastard I am. Actually Scottish so the chant fits me All the Moscow 1s are from the 2018 fifa World Cup that France sadly won International football we do our national anthems before the game starts
10:40 If you liked that you should check out both Scotland and Welsh fans singing theirs anthems. In terms of if we sing before games, I believe it depends on the game itself (like the competition). I haven’t watch football in 9 years though haha. In ice hockey over here, we do though. No matter the game.
Some reference: 1st one was pre-match away in the streets 3rd one, bird is slang for girls General, some are made up on the spot but majority are already made Also: you think these are bad?! They are so much worse when it’s individual clubs More: the national anthem is sung at every international game
Singing is global in football (and other sports) with all fans creating offensive, rude and political lyrics. Also, there are many funny songs and chants. Certain rivalries are more virulent than others: Brazil/Argentina, Holland/Germany and so on.
That video was the world cup chants, the first one was pre-game btw as were most of the other street ones. The actual best football chants are the normal games, one or two of them are a little close to the bone covering certain taboo subjects, if you know the backstories to them they can be amusing but to the average person not so much. A fair few of the chants are pre rehearsed by a group of fans but there are some that are totally on the fly. As for the separation of the fans, that is/was a real problem because of the “Firms”(groups of hardcore fans), they used to contact each other before a game to set up a massive brawl which usually involved “Tooling Up”(arming themselves with weapons) one of the worst weapons was the 50pence piece which has 7 edges, 6 of them were filed down as sharp as blades then you would hold it between your thumb and middle finger with your index finger on the flat edge and you would throw it at someone like skipping a stone on a lake. Sorry if this was too long I got carried away LoL if you really want to know what the football fans used to be like, watch Green Street, Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins) was in it.
The term "birds" for young ladies is not as derogatory as some may think. It's the same word as "bride", and in the Middle Ages no one would have confused it with a word for a feathered animal. Different dialects of English transposed the r and i, creating two words out of one as printing came to standardise spelling.
To answer a couple of your questions and extra info, we have chants in each team that the fans know like liverpool manchester chelsea ect (teams in england including the national team) And yes some chants will happen on the fly when something happens in the game or if something has happened on the news people will chant (this is where the chants usually get spicy) but everyone who hears it joins in and then it spreads. and because england play all over europe a lot of our clips are either in england or wherever the team is playing in europe. For a european game every football player will go and play for their home team (where they were born) to showcase the best players each place has (england, brazil, madrid, germany, italy, egypt ect) which is where the national pride comes from. also yes we have party's in the street like the first clip after a win or before an international game and a lot of the time its outside the stadium just wherever we are. And i did a couple of translations for any americans watching, birds = women, fit = attractive, on the piss = out drinking. hope it helps much love
The “Don’t take me home” chant was sung during the England/Iceland game in Euro 2016 (a European tournament) just before Iceland scored the winning goal to everyone’s shock
Great video! I’m British and can confirm, these are very tame. Most of the chants you heard are common across the country, but you can vary the words slightly (according to the situation) that’s how everyone can sing along and catch on to the new chant. With regards to “we’re not going home” that’s not as in we’re not going home to bed, it’s referencing a tournament/ cup in a knockout stage. As in, we’re still in the competition, and we’re not going home (yet!) These were all quite small groups of people chanting. Usually there’s thousands of people all in unison. We are also not allowed to sit next to each other due to fights and in the past unfortunately… murders 😢 People pre drink in the streets and in pubs before the game starts. The partying will continue into the night. In World Cup games, it’s not uncommon to see people partying in the streets for 2-3 days after the game.
Bird means girl/woman like chick =bird so the chant Your birds are fit but your football's shit translates to " We find the ladies of your country are rather attractive but alas dear fellows your football seems to be less than perfect.
Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it, it love to see you do a reaction video to the Eurovision Song Contest. It was last Saturday... absolutely bonkers!!! ...you'd love it!!
We usually play both countries national anthems during international tournaments before a game, but not normal clubs. Also football chants are usually just catchy tunes that most people know already, but with words adapted (usually on the fly) for that particular game or reserved for that particular team we're currently playing ((usually hated arch rivals). It's just someone with a big foghorn of a voice and a lot of beer in them that shouts out, and 20 people round him will pick it up and chant, which then expands to 100s more.
Loved your reaction ladies. Don't take me home was a song all teams at Euro 2016 all teams sang. It was amazing to hear it sang by so many people. Im off to Wembley next Sunday to watch Wrexham play in the FA Trophy Final.
"I know I am I'm sure I am" is from an old TV show "Only When I Laugh" (I'm H.A.P.P.Y. I'm H.A.P.P.Y I know I am I'm sure I am I'm H.A.P.P.Y...) Probably most here have no idea of its origin.
The football chants do get a bit Jingoistic and toxic. I would recommend checking on the history of football hooliganism to understand the separate stands (the few spoiling it for the many)
Thank you girls/ladies😂❤. But this video is very very very mild😮. There are really good chant videos, like the "funniest" chants. National Anthem is only England vs. another country. ❤
National anthem is only played for internationals, so 10 mins in when the national anthem is played, the reason that is impressive is because England are playing in France Lens stadium, they took over the ground. Most songs are repeated, and they mostly follow a well known music song, but the ones that are created on that day, usually are to a well known tune, which makes it easier to sing
Liverpool fans (hate them but this made me laugh) sang about 6’7” Peter Crouch: He’s big He’s red His feet stick out the bed……Peter crouch,Peter crouch
Love the reaction to this, yep this one was fairly mild compared to some but maybe watch others in your own time, looking forward to tuesday (love the T shirt as well) :)
To answer a few questions, yes we make a lot of these up on the fly, and Brits are somewhat telepathic with other Brits (we think it's because of Big Ben and Yorkshire tea) so we can all pick up on the words fairly quickly. And no, we wouldn't be mad at you for coming in and shouting "USA! USA!" We'd just out-chant you :) it's all fun and games. Oh, and bird = woman
For a tame reaction. Watch sunshine on leith which is a Hibernian song. They hadn’t won a trophy in years and the emotions following their win brings a lump to the throat. As many have said you’ll never walk alone at Liverpool is special too.
VERY tame chants ! You need to watch the more hard core ones. The video answered your question on singing the National Anthem before games. It is sung before England matches only. Scotland would sing Flower Of Scotland. Fans are kept apart at football games to stop trouble erupting ! They are even separated on the streets on the way to games. Tailgating means something different in the UK. It means driving too close to the car in front. We don't have gatherings, BBQs etc in car parks before the games.
We explained our reasons for not watching the other video. Vulgar Chants, not entertaining to us. Tailgating has the meaning here too, just means the other when it comes to Sports. The video didn't answer anything in regards to the anthem. Just because people were singing in the crowd doesn't give context to the question we asked but almost every other comment has been the answer. 😉
And matches like Cup Finals. It was played yesterday and some unpleasant individuals booed that as well as “Abide with me” and Prince William meeting the teams. Sadly there is less respect and pride these days. The big deal about the IRA is the sectarianism in Glasgow, with Celtic traditionally being Catholic and pro Southern Ireland, while Rangers have been Protestant and pro Unionism. This has never been muc
When watching these songs take into consideration the context. So the German bombers song was chanted on the steps of a German government/ cultural building in Germany. The IRA song, chanted in Ireland. The sad Sottish ******* song chanted at a Scottish stadium. Take a look at all the England flags in the stadium and note the names of English towns named on the flags. Going back to the English Civil Wars and probably before, locals have congregated under their Regimental/Town flags. Trade Unionists have marched behind their town, Union and factory branch flags during strikes. Men marched to the WW1 recruitment offices behind their factory and village flags and became Pals battalions and sadly many all died together on the same day making widows of all the women from a particular area on the same day. These England football flags are often well travelled to away games throughout Europe and the world. Many are held in great reverence and passed down to sons and daughters. You are correct about the segregation of the fans at games, it would be a riot otherwise. The irony though is these same fans will pull on an England shirt and happily watch the game together, drink in the bars together, knowing full well each others local team and background. Accents usually give it away anyway! We do not have a culture of the tailgate party, we go to the pub!
Apologies if these points have been stated already but I have checked. Most tunes of footy chants are from existing songs etc with new lyrics of course. To fully clarify, the very first clip is to the tune of a dance hit by Gala called 'Freed from Desire'. Released around 1998 I think...
If you ever come over I will take you to a football match as long as it's at the molineux to watch the mighty wolves love and peace from Wolverhampton England

They are about to face off with Sweden, so 'Your birds are fit' is a compliment to Swedish women.
Or just say birds means girls.
I always thought it came from Lady bird ie just a shortened version of lady.
@@Rallarbusen They certainly are
Bird means girl like you Americans say chiks
The Shirt that That Cheating Rat wore on the day has just been sold at Sotheby`s for $9.28 Million Dollars. It was owned by Steve Hodge.

Got it, thanks!!
Glad to help. The question about tailgating. Traditionally football matches would be at 3pm on a Saturday. Why, because most people worked until 12pm. That gave them 3 hours to get home wash go to the chippy and the pub on the way to the game. People didn't have cars. It's something we still do.
At club level yes, but ALL internationals have anthems.....
@@TheNatashaDebbieShow that and of course the fa cup we get abide with me, great little hymn
Not really into football so I didn’t know 99% of these, but they were funny! I did a gig in a club after a World Cup game in July 2021 when England won 4-0, so we played ‘We Are The Champions’ as the last song. That was a very epic moment! See you Tuesday 🙂

This was before the Sweden v England match.... The Swedish fans all chanted back '" go home to your ugly wives " ... beautiful moment 😄
I am biased, but the best anthem is that of Wales...

Eng-Brit here - love your reaction vids - this one was just great!
Jill this is one big reason we don't have Chants like that here. We don't use words like that around children. And kids love and attend all games

NUFC's crest is practically identical to the city's Coat of Arms, with the two seahorses with NUFC's the black and white shield, but the city's coat of arms having the shield in 3 sections with the 3 castles, what one giving Newcastle it's name, the old castle burnt down, was called Pons Aelius Latin for Hadrians Bridge.
Some of these take place in fan parks during tournaments, like the world cup. Also this is the England nationall team, you will see people doing this in pubs and other venues when the team plays. There are some videos showing people's reactions.

Absolutely!
We had heard of Ultras but didn't know what that meant

National anthem is only played before international games, league team’s normally have their own tune played as the player’s get onto the pitch.
6:20 Birds = girls.
8:09 Normally our chants are songs or hymns that someone’s changed the lyrics too to fit the situation, a majority of people will know the tune and then pick up the changed words.
11:10 I think we do in big games but I don’t think so in smaller games (sorry if I’m wrong)
13:50 this is definitely a tame version because as watchers get progressively more dr#nk they lose there filter and go wild
15:03 there have been lots of fights (but I am unsure if thing have gotten so bad someone’s d!ed) normally you do have to be careful because depending where you are you could get attacked or harmed by the opposite team
15:19 they have to keep them separated because some people are so invested in there team that they would fight anyone who supported a different team and it might become serious quickly, it also help with chants
19:47 actually I think that the chants shown where either in the game or before it eg. ‘I’m England till I die’ and ‘we’re on the p!$$ and we’re having a laugh’
20:27 yes lots of chants and dr!nking going on when your walking there and waiting outside and in car parks

Rangers fans where the first ones to sing the Strachan version of the song
Us Wigan fans have a new version. Will Keane's on Fire
@@Sierraomega1991 when he was Celtic manager? NUFC were singing it about Peter Reid ten years earlier
It comes from Sunderland fans singing for Peter Reid. ..then next team of fans was Newcastle taking the piss...now every club fans users it to attack there 'enemy'

We got that 😉 probably our favorite one!
Great fun watching that with you girls, fair play for giving it a go. :>)
My favorite chant of all time, referenced Bobby Zamora, of Brighton & Hove Albion fame, who developed a habit of spooning the ball into orbit, rather than scoring a sitting goal:
*To the tune of 'Amore'
'If you're in row Z.
And the ball hits your head.
That's Zamora...'
Nah,it’s……
When the ball hits the head of the bloke in row Z……..that’s…..Zamora!

The vulgarity is the basis of British humour and some of the chant’s made are quite intelligent in there creation
@@colinallison9163 - you are right and I enjoy that humour like any Brit would, the point I was making is that the girls have an absolute right to deciding the content on their channel.

International football we do our national anthems before the game starts

If you liked that you should check out both Scotland and Welsh fans singing theirs anthems.
In terms of if we sing before games, I believe it depends on the game itself (like the competition). I haven’t watch football in 9 years though haha. In ice hockey over here, we do though. No matter the game.
The chants we make up on the spot so one person will start something and everyone will catch on
I would prefer as our national anthem land of hope and glory as I would suspect a lot of other British people.
That should be sung more often..great tune
For international games we do the anthem before every game while the players line up!
the national anthem isn't sung at local games but at international events it is.
"You're shit, but your birds are fit!" >>> "You're useless at this game, but your women are very attractive!".
When it comes to chants a small group will start it but more people listen laugh then join in
Some reference:
1st one was pre-match away in the streets
3rd one, bird is slang for girls
General, some are made up on the spot but majority are already made
Also: you think these are bad?! They are so much worse when it’s individual clubs
More: the national anthem is sung at every international game
Singing is global in football (and other sports) with all fans creating offensive, rude and political lyrics. Also, there are many funny songs and chants. Certain rivalries are more virulent than others: Brazil/Argentina, Holland/Germany and so on.
If our teams sat altogether, people would die xxx
That was great, glad you went for the softer chants, I have heard other that wouldn't suit this channel. Luv ya, stay safe.
Really enjoyed this video. Roll on Tuesday 👏
The national anthem would have been played at yesterdays FA cup final but not at a normal game.
yeah it's reserved for mostly international games and special occasions like the F.A. cup which is still attended by royalty.
As in, we’re still in the competition, and we’re not going home (yet!)
These were all quite small groups of people chanting. Usually there’s thousands of people all in unison.
We are also not allowed to sit next to each other due to fights and in the past unfortunately… murders 😢
People pre drink in the streets and in pubs before the game starts.
If we sing the national anthem like that we all stand up as it basically an unwritten rule. Even royalty stands up to salute the Queen.
The German bombers chant was actually filmed at an England away game in Germany. It might have been at the World Cup
One person will start a chant and then everyone else will join in x
Yes we know as we said in the video and in the comments
National anthem is only played for internationals, so 10 mins in when the national anthem is played, the reason that is impressive is because England are playing in France Lens stadium, they took over the ground.
Most songs are repeated, and they mostly follow a well known music song, but the ones that are created on that day, usually are to a well known tune, which makes it easier to sing
Hard to tailgate when theres no parking.... plus the police escort fans away

Love the reaction to this, yep this one was fairly mild compared to some but maybe watch others in your own time, looking forward to tuesday (love the T shirt as well) :)
Chants go on throughout the game
To answer a few questions, yes we make a lot of these up on the fly, and Brits are somewhat telepathic with other Brits (we think it's because of Big Ben and Yorkshire tea) so we can all pick up on the words fairly quickly. And no, we wouldn't be mad at you for coming in and shouting "USA! USA!"
We'd just out-chant you :) it's all fun and games.
Oh, and bird = woman
We will literally chant about anything.
Which is pretty cool
Or anyone.
This has never been muc
much of an issue in England or Wales.
Proud to support England 💪 Come on lads! 🇬🇧
If you mixed teams like that here you'd have a bloodbath.
They would just laugh at you if you went in shouting USA USA 🇺🇸

Apologies if these points have been stated already but I have checked. Most tunes of footy chants are from existing songs etc with new lyrics of course. To fully clarify, the very first clip is to the tune of a dance hit by Gala called 'Freed from Desire'. Released around 1998 I think...
You should react to American vs British football chants... Cringe! Haha. Keep up the great content 😊
Great vid ladies, I am a Queen fan too and am off to see Queen and Adam Lambert at the o2 Arena next month. I can’t wait xx
If you think this is vulgar and hardcore, do NOT watch any chants from the balkans 😂

Deb from South Wales here,
National anthems are sung mainly at international matches.
If you ever come over I will take you to a football match as long as it's at the molineux to watch the mighty wolves love and peace from Wolverhampton England
Robert are you a yam yam like me then?

Loved it. The last one I was not aware of. There are other chants out there with a deeper sentiment. Worth checking out if you're happy to do the research.
The other version is so funny tho 😩
