Im trying to make tutorials that I wish i had. Perhaps they might be too long or not always snappy but im learning.
Unfortunately i couldnt find any good nebula tutorials so i had to make one.

Im loving this tutorial, really informative. I think I will re-up my octane subscription. One suggestion. Please turn up the volume on your voice, My macbool is a %100 and so is my UA-cam video volume. I still can barley here you and all of your cursing lol

That preset is seemingly missing from my presets folder, for me, it goes 72 right to 74...

I'm confused about the voxel scaling.
I used upscale x4 (the max) but I still want a higher resolution. The problem is that when I change the voxel size or voxel count the behavior of the simulation changes, even if I change both according to the same ratio.
How can I scale up the resolution higher but still keep the same behavior?

Very cool gonna have to check out embergen. Amazing what you can do in aftereffects! I would love to learn more about how you did that compositing. Do you know of any good AE tutorials?

Awesome tutorial! It's super insightful and I'm learning a lot. I have one question though. I've downloaded both Embergen and the VDB, but I can't find the nebula pack in Embergen. I'd like to make a few adjustments there before exporting to C4D. Do you happen to know how I can do this or am I stuck with the VDB you've provided? Thanks so much
Hello Emily, ir seems like they have removed this particular preset from new version of embergen, so I guess you can try to create a sim of your own or simply use the vdb I provided

amazing tutorial. Alas I dont have the luxury of having cinema 4d. But it occured to me I have Stardust plug in which reads VDB's in After Effects. Do you reckon I could get similar results using Embergen and Stardust inside after effects ?
After Effects comes with Cinema4D LITE. But, i think you could try using Superluminal Stardust and keep you workflow only on AE. Thats not my favorite approach...

Can you export obj files out of embergen?
It'd be really cool to import embergen obj files directly into element 3d for speedy compositing!
VDB yes, OBJ no as far as im aware. You cant make volume into mesh in embergen
Pretty sure you can in blender. Import vdb, then ad volume to mesh modifier

You have no instructions on how to import VDB into cinema 4d. I watched the video for only that one thing.
Add volume object from octane plugs and add vdb there. Its super straightforward

@@EdgarDavey Thats not much. However, when you add in $50 per month for adobe cloud, $24 per month for embergen, $15 for particular and on and on... It gets expensive

@@cristovski This video is an older version and it does not support that preset. The presets were remade for the new version but for whatever reason they skipped this version.
