I was 7 when my best friend's uncle got stuck babysitting us during a sleepover. He asked her mom, "What am I supposed to do?" To which she said, "Just watch a movie with a child in it." That movie was The Exorcist. The actual film was scary enough to give me nightmares for months, but the uncle chain-smoking in the corner, talking about "the light chases away the dark" as he drunkenly flicked on his lighter over and over, just made the whole thing worse. Then again, it made me fairly numb to horror films for the rest of my life. Not much can beat watching The Exorcist when you're 7 years old.
I don't know I might be able to beat that.... I was 9 my 13 year old sister had died (family heart issues, long very sad story) I was staying at my uncle's house the day of the funeral. That evening he took me and his son (about the same age as me )to see a double feature at the drive in one was "The Night of the Walking Dead." The other was something called Blood bath or such. That Fu€ked me up bad for years!!! My mom was SO PISSED at him!!!! I did get even, they had brought a huge bag of red licorice to the movie, I was so scared I couldn't stop eating it.... later on I puked red licorice all over his car!
There's a book that collects the accounts of the priests involved. It reads a lot like a documentary. Very good, even if you don't think it's true, it's still worth reading the accounts of the people involved.
I think its all BS. There was a girl at my school called Sophie she seemed normal everyone liked her. But one day she just fell to the floor, started growling and talking weird, and moving around the floor like some kind of twisted snake, also pushing people away with immense strength. It turned out to be a very rare type of epilepsy.
Ill be 100 with you 42..i find it easier to believe in demonic possession than i do that garbage you said about "the greastest game of all time raid shadow legends"
Whether or not this happened, I've seen enough crazy shit in my life to know that I shouldn't go looking for trouble. I've got enough problems with the living, and I don't need any from the dead or demonic. On the other hand, the only reason why I avoid Ouiji boards and spiritual rituals across the board is because the majority of people I've met who were into that stuff were the wrong kinds of crazy. Again, I have enough problems as it is and I don't need to go asking for more.
Ouiji boards are a literal toy produced by a toy company. They aren't any more dangerous than a Monopoly board, and probably less likely to cause a family argument.
someone in my family is a medium and there's been a couple strange occurrences, and they're not a crazy person at all. Whether they've really contacted ghosts of dead people or compelling unknown forces playing games with humanoids is unknown and hard to prove or disprove. I don't know, particularly because I almost died and it was only blackness, when others claim a light and or other things like seeing family or heaven or hell. Maybe I don't have a soul
I lived near the old Alexian Brothers hospital building for nearly 10 years. The floor where the exorcism took placed was completely sealed off. There was some strange stuff that happened there, noises, sometimes you could see a faint light. I don't know if it's still there as I moved to Kansas City and haven't needed to go back. There was some talk of tearing it down but the Catholic Church wasn't in favor of that at all, fearing it would "loose the spirit". Maybe I'm dumb, but can't spirits go where they want pretty much? Anyway, I had seen the movie when it came out, then was near where it happened and it's just a creepy place to be.
I assume they blessed that area so the spirit can't leave? At least that would make sense if they can't banish it or send it back to where it came from. But i don't know a lot about these kinds of things nor believe in them.
@@mmmmmmolly has to do with the nature of spiritual energy… the further the spirit travels from where he entered this realm the relatively weaker he becomes. If the priests could bless to contain they could rid the spirit from this plaine. And since they can’t it’s better to stay away. Just what I believe correct if I’m wrong
@@lesscoRyden : it's been a while since I made that comment for the creator. But I believe I made it because I did not like his mocking all that much to. Anyway, have a great Sunday ✌
Years later Walter Halloran went on to become the priest at my grandparents' church in Sherburn Minnesota and According to my grandma who came to know Halloran fairly well and had conversations with him regarding the exorcism. He confirmed to her that he believed the boy to be possessed and that there were definitely supernatural events that took place and things did in fact get crazy but, that movie did exaggerate things.
I hope that the battle apps pay him good for the advertisement because they are always the most annoying thing to watch, they make the UA-camrs say so much B.S. about the games.

I heard about a woman in New Zealand who's family accidentally drowned her during her "exorcism". It was truly sad and really strange. Family was charged with manslaughter.
The way it is told is more effective than retelling an accurate version. Confining it mostly to one home specifically one bedroom with mom constantly dealing with the nightmare gives the story an intimacy that drives the movie off the charts with unsettling feels.
I live about 15 minutes north of the actual house in Mt. Rainier, MD. I've seen that now empty lot. Bill Blatty told the story of when he was still in Georgetown U. doing the research on the story. A friend of his took him to the lot. That day was a warm and sunny day. There were kids playing down the street from it, sports were being played on the nearby field and there was even a piano playing in the distance through an open window at the college. The moment that he and his friend stepped through the gate, he said that time stood still and everything went silent. The kids stopped playing and stared, no games on the field and even the piano stopped playing. It freaked him out so much that the two men immediately got out of there! All of this came from an old newspaper article he clipped, saved and forgot about for years. He was actually a comedy writer and wanted to try something new. Did he ever!
You should go with an father doing an exorcism and it will change your mind. It sure changed mine after I fainted seeing a teen climbing a wall upside down. I shit messed me up for real. No Hollywood shit. Bad exists… many people die with the ignorance of it but some experience it before dying. Before that I heard stories from soldiers experiencing such things but I never believed it and always told people that was just PTSD and they imagining things. Boy was I wrong.
The Catholic Church also believes most “possessions” are simply mental health problems, that’s why (despite what the video implies) they’re always referred to doctors and psychologists first (as was done in this case). This case was unique because there were several witnesses to objects moving around the child and other supernatural events, and this was before the Catholic Church even got involved. The Catholic Church’s identifying factors of a possession in the video are accurate, but they’re cumulative, not one equals possession. If nothing supernatural is reported, there’s basically no chance you’ll get an official Catholic exorcism. Exorcisms are extremely rare in the Catholic Church. And none of the examples of “exorcisms gone wrong” at the end of the video were done by the Catholic Church. The video implies the tragic “exorcism” of the Milwaukee boy was done by the Catholic Church. This is a lie; the church was an evangelical Protestant church. Lots of misinformation in this video. Anyone who wants a true deep dive on the case can check out the Astonishing Legends podcast series on it, very well done.
@@TrojanLube69 true, if I had been exposed to something like that I wouldn't be so sceptical, but I still do entertain the possibility that possessions might be real. After all, if there's a heaven with angles, there must be a hell with demons.
@@nostalgia3979 or there’s none of those and exorcists are just messed up for experimenting with people because someone hallucinated shit flying around in a room!
I think a lot of 'possession' cases boil down to mental problems and the 'cure' of exorcism can be explained by faith. If the possessed person has faith in the church and believes the exorcism has power over possession then it works for however long a period. I do believe that things like possession can happen but that it's rare - but that's a religious position so take it for what it's worth - an opinion based on religious faith.
I agree, I fully believe possession is possible, however I also think it's rare. Then again I'm also a Christian. If one believes that the bible is true then one must also believe in both angels as well as demons, and possession. But yeah it definitely comes down to faith and truth. Are spirit creatures real or fakes? As of now we have no way of confirmation without faith, either way at the present time.
Have you seen an exorcism tho? Or someone who's supposedly possessed? Some seizures can do that but I don't think a seizure can explain someone climbing up a wall backwards
According to church rules concerning exorcism the subject must first be thoroughly examined by doctors and psychiatrists. Priests do not just go around exorcising people.
I'll tell you...Fr. Hughes was our parish priest at St. James for many years. He never wore short sleeve shirts or short sleeve garments because of the scar on his forearm. My mother told us his hair went from dark to white almost overnight. She also noted how his eyes went from a warm, fatherly gaze to a piercing ice blue like he was looking right through you. He was a nice man but he always gave me the willies. He was a firm believer in baptism and if the parents balked at having their newborn baptised, he would come to your home and take them to the church to perform the rite. He dropped dead after leaving his sister's house a few decades back.
Thank you so much for debunking this story. I have heard of young people who died from exorcisms! I used to like scary movies, especially the ones from the ‘50’s like “The Night of the Living Dead”, Them” and the pod people one, because the people won in the end!! Then scary movies started to change - people did not prevail!! Those movies were so depressing. I saw four of the movies, the last from Tarantino - Hitchcock he wasn’t by a long, long shot!! I think the first one was “The Exorcist”. I thought all throwing up pea soup and stuff went too far, but that movie scared the hell outta me and not in a fun way! I hated the narrating voice and any voice like it disturbed me for about ten years. The priests helplessness was horrible. Then the young priest was tossed out the window. Everything that happened was horrific! I don’t even remember if the end turned out okay. Then the guy i was with, instead of making it all right, told me he believed in the devil - and that did it!! I saw “The Alien” - it was scary, but just ugly!! Give me “Ghostbusters” or “Supernatural” any day. Fun scary is enjoyable. The others are Not fun at all, and are just stupid!! 🌷🌱🌷🌱🌷🌱 Do have a good day, you guys :)🌷🌱
That only "works" for poltergeists (when it works at all). Possession sticks to a person like glue until an exorcism happens or the demon finds a reason to leave (which probably wouldn't happen because the whole idea of possession is based on Hell being awful enough to drive demons to escape).
I gotta say, brother, I am very skeptical about all of these things, but I did experience something quite scary once: My family is Christian (Protestants), I am not religious, but my father was going to be baptized and I went to attend the ceremony. On these days, usually, more than one person is baptized. They had this plastic pool inside the church, it could fit at least 10 people inside. There was a lady, who I've seen her in the church before on the ocasional days I went there, and she seemed pretty normal, she was a nice person, very sweet, around 70 years old. She was also going to be baptized. When they were baptizing the other people, they had the pastor and a minister, and the person who was being baptized. The minister would dip them in the water after the pastor finished speaking the words. When the lady got in the pool, a third person entered the pool and now the minister was holding her on the left side and the this third person was holding her on the right side - they looked tense and worried, unlike with the other people, and the pastor was more aggressive with the way she was speaking the words and throwing water at the lady. The lady started to speak in a very low gutural voice, her body started to move very differently and her facial expressions were odd. As the pastor was saying the words and throwing water at her, she began to contort and shout in the same deep low gutural voice, and she was so strong, the two men that were holding her had a really hard time holding her and diving her head down the water. I was super impressed about that, on top if my skeptical mind, I could not logically explain what I had just seen. Possession or not, that happened and if our brains can give us super strength and even change our voices like that, there is definitely something we need to unlock in order to achieve the full control of our bodies.
Holy shit dude that does sound scary. How did it all end?

@@mattjack3983 It was more of a shocking/WTF moment, to be honest. The Pastor and the minister seemed to be ready for that, they were expecting it to happen and they dealt with it in a very natural way. This only lasted for a few minutes. The lady was then "back to normal" and everyone acted like it never happened, maybe out of respect for her. I remember talking about this with my family, after we left, but that was it. It was something I'll never forget, and I hope to never experience that in any angles again. 😅
@ wow..im not a guy who scares easy, or really even feels uncomfortable very often...but something like that would have freaked me out too bro. Im not necessarily someone who believes in "possession", i have a healthy skepticism towards things like that..but i also stay open to information and open to facts. I may not have seen it as a possession, but like u said, IT DID HAPPEN, and that is a fact that u witnessed. Whether or not its possession would be totally irrelevant to me in that situation, because it was still something that was really happening. Yes, I definitely would have been wierded out bigtime lol. It would have been hard for me to wrap my brain around and comprehend.

@@mattjack3983 yeah, man, I am also no easily scared. The fact that this happened in front of me makes me believe in these phenomena, but does not make me assume the nature of them. If it's really a possession, then it is fucking horrific, but still fascinating. If it's a neurological problem, it's also horrific but fascinating, it shows that the brain is even more powerful than what we think it is. A 70 year old lady has no matching strength to give 2 40 year old healthy men a hard time - if that is the brain doing it, there is something we need to find out.
My mom was on the worship team for my old church. At the time they had a new bass player who sprinkled salt around his space on the stage. When he was asked why, he responded that there were demons in the church. This was during a practice session. When they were ready to start, my mom claims that her hands just froze, as if it was paralyzed. She couldn't reach her keyboard, her fingers floating above it. After a few minutes it went away and they could carry on. She also states that was the scariest thing that has ever happened to her.
When I was doing my philosophy studies at St. Louis University 2008-2011 I met a couple of older Jesuits who were scholastics at the time of the famous exorcism. They had helped restrain the boy during the prayers, and even though there were four strong young men trying to hold him down, he frequently broke free and could toss them around like dolls. They said the book and film borrowed details from lots of different exorcism cases and sensationalized many things, but it was an unusual and extreme case nonetheless. I've spoken with a number of exorcists and extreme stuff does happen, but it is rare.
For about a week the kids stayed at an old hospital that is now converted to apartments. I worked in the apartments and the room was on the 5th floor which was locked and vacant. In said room the window would break from the inside out numerous times through the year. There was notes discovered by construction workers about the demon on the 5th floor. The room has saint names painted on the walls to this day. The small room is always cooler then any other area in the floor. It's creepy.
The majority of the most well known cases of possession happened before there was widespread knowledge of different mental illnesses, or a means by which to treat those that suffered from them. Obviously so much has changed over the last 80 or so years, we know of many (I doubt all) mental illnesses, ways in which to treat them, and even medications to help. Exorcism's continue to happen to this very day in order to help people that believe they are possesed. Now that pretty much everyone knows about different mental illnesses people may suffer from, that is the first thing checked before just about any priest will even consider that the person may be possessed, and absolutely must be confirmed that it isn't just some kind of mental illness before the Vatican will approve of an Exorcism. It is no longer the case that a parent can go to a church, say, "My kids possessed, help!" and a priest shows up that night and begins reading scripture. Something like that happening nowadys, would only happen in the most backwoods, secluded, and insulated from society commune of the most religious zealots, and certainly would not have received approval from the church (not that a group like that would even bother asking in the first place). Priests will even say that almost every time someone approaches them believing that they, or someone they know, are possessed, that 99% of the time some mental issue is what's responsible. Very, very rarely does it turn out that the priests themselves believe they might be dealing with a genuine possession. When it comes to Roland Doe, obviously there is going to be a lack of evidence that isn't just hear say, it did happen in the 1940's afterall. Add to that the fact that the family very clearly did not want what was happening shared with everyone in their town, let alone the rest of the state or even the entire country. Wanting to keep this as private as possible, they would have wanted as few people as they could manage involved or even knowing about what was happening. Even if they didn't care about privacy (which would have been more questionable back then as there was no incentive to make this up, and if the greater public found out, they almost certainly would have been ostracized and pushed away from their community) cameras weren't in everyone's pockets at all times, and it was still difficult to get even a reasonably clear picture of an object or person that wasn't perfectly still. Back then, hearsay was how news/information commonly traveled. Sure there was still radio and newspapers that spread news/information to the largest number of people, but anything that wasn't meant for the mass public consumption would only be able to travel through word of mouth. It really wasn't all that long ago that word of mouth and written accounts were the ONLY ways by which events of the past were remembered, passed on, and documented for future generations. While this should be obvious, understood, and accepted I can't help but notice that whenever it is about religion, it's considered to all be made up b.s. by seemingly more and more people, year after year. If this idea that hearsay or someone's written and personal account of something (no matter when or where that thing happened) were treated the same way with everything throughout history as most people respond when it comes to literally anything considered religious, then history would not even be something discussed or worth remembering or studying. Everyone would only know about and believe whatever they happened to personally experience themself as anything else would just be made up b.s. We have already moved in the direction where even something that would be considered documented evidence by some, is nothing more than a fabricated hoax to others. Yeah it seems to boil down to what someone's personal beliefs are, but I wish more people could be even just a bit more open to the possibility of something, even when/if they don't really believe it personally. Instead there's this prevalence of; no amount of evidence or credibility will ever be enough for some when it comes to certain ideas or things, while absolutely no evidence is even necessary for those very same people to accept and believe some other idea or thing.

Watched this movie as a kid I was traumatized for like a whole year had to sleep with the light on and made my mom wait for me to fall asleep before she went to sleep, my family still tease me about it lol but as a kid it was horrifying and still is, scariest movie by far I’ve ever seen
The most recent issue of Skeptical Inquirer had an excellent article on "Roland Doe," tracking down the lad. If we're casting votes, put me in the "here's a teenager who was influenced a bit too much by his spiritualist relatives and then had more than his share of non-spiritual teenage angst." Way back when, I lived in Tupelo, Mississippi (Elvis's home, at least for awhile) when THE EXORCIST film premiered. The town fathers forbade any local movie theatre to show it (religious scruples, naturally). So the local drive-in across the city line grabbed it and showed it to packed crowds for weeks and weeks and weeks - seemed like it would never go away. Give the people what they want and they will come!
Believe it or not, I've been witnessing many people being possessed where I come from, Including my sister. Don't really see they levitate thing but their voice change completely, they have the strength of many full grown man. Lot of shit happen but this is real.
The girl’s name was Annalise Michel. YT has documentaries on her, along with the actual audio recordings of the exorcisms. This event forced laws to be enacted in several countries whereby it is now required that a medical practitioner be present at all times during the rituals. It is well known that Michel died from severe injuries, malnutrition, and dehydration as a direct result of the exorcisms.
Ah the 40's, when you would happily let a priest stay in the same room as the your child overnight, and then take him at face value when he tells you that the banging you heard was a ghost vibrating the bed 😂😂😂😂
Just my piece on this: a known Roman Catholic priest in my country explained that demonic possession is very much the decision of the possessed. Think of bad spirits as leashed dogs: it won't bite you unless you come near it. In my local area, a coworker relates an incident, when in a drunken stupor, a group of adult men played with the OUIJA. Later weird things started to creep up. My coworker drove to the Church's grounds to contact the local priest. The priest was a tad angry at the fact that these grown men SHOULD NOT have played with the OUIJA. Their drunken state left them vulnerable to such supernatural powers. Yes, demons do leech into a body with vulnerable and psychologically weakened people. I do not know about believing in demons but I would rather listen to that priest, because, frankly, there is more harm to arousing your own curiosity towards the unknown without due precaution. Spiritists, priests and similar professions (yes they are professions) require ample training and knowledge to partake in exorcisms.
@@FirstLast-kp9jx , @Aaron Scoggins I am btw not a religious girl. I am more of an agnostic when it comes to matters of faith. That priest's advice makes sense. It is not either about belief. I had some of these issues myself, scratches on my arms out of nowhere, lights that start flickering. I also had glass that broke out of nowhere when I was going to the trainstation for example. That's nothing compared to wishing some kid to death when I was around 7 years old. He was such a bullie. And you guessed it, he did indeed die a few years later. I just hope I find a way to make it stop, since people give me anti-psychotics, while the problem is real, and not imagined.

When i was a cab driver in Omaha, I picked up an old Jesuit priest at eppley going to Creighton university. He told me he had been a roommate to the young priest who had participated in that exorcism . The bishop had forbade the participating priest not to talk about it . However he had to talk about it to this Jesuit since it bothered him so . But I was told from this Jesuit that I had picked up that it occurred in New Jersey and from thence to Missouri. Yes that old priest told me that his roommate had told him there was levitation .
Aside from my own beliefs regarding this sort of evil, during the actual filming of the movie, several accidents happened to multiple people who were involved with the production. So even that being so easily proved and easily checked, it definitely makes you question all of it. So is it real? Absolutely. Did this happen as it was told? The world won’t ever really know. I’m just glad I had no involvement with that production!

My father-in-law is a minister and tells of one time he's encountered demonic possession. The victim was a young woman in her twenties that was around 5'1" and 115 lbs. When the possession began she went from being a faithful, helpful wife to an abusive woman who brutally assaulted her husband and became extremely promiscuous often stopping at construction sites and the like and taking all comers. When my father-in-law and another minister confronted her and the demon this tiny woman nearly overpowered 4 men with inhuman strength. They eventually were able to cast out the demon and the women told a story of over the course of a few weeks seeing a dark figure outside her house that kept coming closer and closer each day until the possession occurred. Unfortunately, the woman didn't truly believe she had been possessed and did not follow up on my father-in-law and the other minister's suggestion that she begins attending church and seeking spiritual salvation and protection. Within a year the possession began again and the behavior resumed until the woman took her own life.
Hey. I love your content, everything you talk about, you make it very entertaining. I have a suggestion though, I was wondering if you might want to dive into Norse mythology or Greek mythology. @John Johnson You’re sick for saying this to someone that has opened up about something traumatic. Possessions aren’t real. People thought they were because there was no knowledge around mental health; this person’s autism isn’t a demonic possession… what the fuck. Read a book or stay ignorant, I don’t care but don’t go around sharing your bullshit ideas.
Love how the symptoms of "possession" are actually a grieving child being neglected and abused by everyone around him. JFC There are no demons, just humans being human.
For real like he was extremely irritable because, ya know, he was grieving what he likely saw as his closest adult figure and kids pick up skin picking as a stress response super easily! Kids are also extremely susceptible to suggestion and when he’d already been taught a lot of this and similar stuff if adults all around him are telling him he’s possessed by a demon that’s causing all this ~darkness~ inside him (which he’ll be physically feeling in the form of grief and depression and pain) that’s gonna make sense, and subconsciously he’ll play to that! The demon here was child emotional neglect and mental illness
Hi there sunshine I’m really not sure, I heard about it from a documentary a few years ago. Was hoping @Thoughty2 could prove/ disprove the claim, and if it’s true expound on it
The problem with possession is that it can be very difficult to distinguish from mental illness. You can't exorcise a mental illness. And you cannot medically treat a possession. So there's that. Proper diagnosis is the only way to move forward.
That's why there are so many hoops to jump through before they get to exorcism. Clergymen (or any good ones anyway) will send potential cases to be medically evaluated for every possible answer before petitioning for exorcism.
"I had to put my cup of tea down quite firmly" - that is comedy gold, mate ... I hope you do not mind if I steal that line for a whinge to my mother or a T-shirt ...? Let me know.
Woke up early today... supposedly darkness existed before any other creation, so there's that. I don't know whether to say the biggest deception is evil doesn't exist or, as your video proved, people are truly evil. But why? What did they see to provoke such atrocities upon someone in an effort to save them? I guess the inquisition explains that... which brings back the original question, if evil truly exists.
If this intrigued any of you or just sceptical, I recommend giving astonishing legends a hear. Yes, it's a podcast and a fairly long podcast but it has some interesting facts? They recently made an episode about the story behind the exorcist including information about rolan's real identity.
7:27 there's actually a story I remember about a man who had "dozens of demons" inhabiting his body, so Jesus cast them all into a group of pigs that was near by, and the pigs subsequently killed themselves by running either off a cliff or into the ocean, I don't quite remember which, but I always thought it was an unsettling story.
Yes. Jesus visited this island one day where a man was possessed. The man was so terrifying and crazy that anybody who went in his territory or near his cave would be ripped apart. Every time they had put him in chains, he’d break free, so Jesus decided to bring his disciples over to him. When the possessed man heard people coming, he ran out to kill them, but when he saw it was Jesus Christ, he said “why have you come to torment me before the end?” And begged jesus not to cast him back to Hell. So jesus cast the demons into the pigs, and they all ran off of the cliff and died
@@Frosty_tha_Snowman I vaguely remember my father telling me the story lol, just wanted to provide some extra context not really an expert but I love that story
Although the boys identity has never been divulged, George Noory announced in late 2021 that the boy had just died in his 80's, and that he had had a long career as an engineer with NASA.
People with Tourette are always accused of being possessed, while the viewers of Sweet Anita can actually say that Terrence ( her "Tourette personality" ) is indeed rude and rowdy, but sometimes he has amazing poetic and funny quotes at perfect times.
That fraud does not speak for the Tourettes community. Pfft too many cute people now adding Tourettes as a USP to rake in buttloads of cash. Nothing sweet about the scam she's conning people with.
Wait I always thought the movie was based on the story of Anneliese Michel, or was that another movie? Her case is so gruesome and the audio recordings of her are haunting.... I believe she also died during or after an exorcism at just 23
Her case spawned the film "The Exorcism of Emily Rose". Jennifer Carpenter was so convincing in the barn scene when she screamed after counting to 6 in Latin her eyes dilated black with no lenses and a camera operator quit on the spot.
@@nealdamkjer192 not to mention she did all the weird poses/movements herself, some of them in the movie looked like she twisted and broke herself in places that should be impossible
When I was a kid my sister and 3 of my cousins witnessed our older cousin exorcism and it took a very long time it was shocking seeing her breaking furnitures and she looked wild we thought she was going crazy but after the got rid of what was inside her she didn’t remember anything that happened and we were telling her what happened but she is ok now
I went to high school with a girl who said her physician father had some sort of connection to this case. She clearly was told not to talk about it but she did say one of his diagnosis was Turrets, which explains his spontaneous foul language, and some other mental illness. However, these exorcisms are a great opportunity for religions to frighten and manipulate their followers into being "good" and paying their tithings.

When I was young the babysitter played a horrible movie about rape it haunted me so bad. What a terrible person.
Watching The Fly as a seven years old is also a hell of an experience O___O
I don't know I might be able to beat that.... I was 9 my 13 year old sister had died (family heart issues, long very sad story) I was staying at my uncle's house the day of the funeral. That evening he took me and his son (about the same age as me )to see a double feature at the drive in one was "The Night of the Walking Dead." The other was something called Blood bath or such. That Fu€ked me up bad for years!!! My mom was SO PISSED at him!!!!

Requires enormous amounts of energy. Spirits usually tether to people, places, or objects if the spirit is wherever you go than it’s attached to you
I assume they blessed that area so the spirit can't leave? At least that would make sense if they can't banish it or send it back to where it came from. But i don't know a lot about these kinds of things nor believe in them.

That kid's not possessed, he sounds more like a troubled kid, and sometimes, that's all it is in most of these possession cases. That's IMO though.

That only "works" for poltergeists (when it works at all). Possession sticks to a person like glue until an exorcism happens or the demon finds a reason to leave (which probably wouldn't happen because the whole idea of possession is based on Hell being awful enough to drive demons to escape).

I gotta say, brother, I am very skeptical about all of these things, but I did experience something quite scary once:
My family is Christian (Protestants), I am not religious, but my father was going to be baptized and I went to attend the ceremony.
I'd love to read your research.

The most recent issue of Skeptical Inquirer had an excellent article on "Roland Doe," tracking down the lad. If we're casting votes, put me in the "here's a teenager who was influenced a bit too much by his spiritualist relatives and then had more than his share of non-spiritual teenage angst."
Way back when, I lived in Tupelo, Mississippi (Elvis's home, at least for awhile) when THE EXORCIST film premiered. The town fathers forbade any local movie theatre to show it (religious scruples, naturally). So the local drive-in across the city line grabbed it and showed it to packed crowds for weeks and weeks and weeks - seemed like it would never go away. Believe it or not, I've been witnessing many people being possessed where I come from, Including my sister. Don't really see they levitate thing but their voice change completely, they have the strength of many full grown man. Lot of shit happen but this is real.

He should make the video of the poor german girl that inspired "The Exorcism of Emily Rose." That story is tragic
Good stuff as usual!!! Keep it up thoughty2!!!
Ah the 40's, when you would happily let a priest stay in the same room as the your child overnight, and then take him at face value when he tells you that the banging you heard was a ghost vibrating the bed 😂😂😂😂
my lord hahahahaha
Oh My God, just stop! I am laughing so hard I am crying.
This is such an -underaged- underrated comment.
@@innocentbystander3317 Well played Innocent, well played. LOL
Exactly.
Its always been interesting to me that only people who believe in possession get possessed
@@hermeticascetic You would think that since they most likely also believe in God they would be the most protected.
@@FirstLast-kp9jx , @Aaron Scoggins I am btw not a religious girl. I am more of an agnostic when it comes to matters of faith. That priest's advice makes sense. It is not either about belief. It is just a cautionary advice that will protect us. Daring to delve into the unknown, has brought a lot of harm and trouble more than good.
@@hermeticascetic i always think about this. Is it possible that people who's not religious just think of possession as mental illnesses?
@@wyatten5057 partially the religious trying to find an explanation for mental disorders and psychoses, partially attention seeking behavior, some of it is excusing shitty behavior. Like the girls of Salem crying witchcraft. There were no witches, it was just a bunch of shitty kids.
I was 12 when it hit theaters. My “cool” aunt was going to see it with friends. I told her that the TV said that barf bags were going to be handed out with tickets and that I would like it (if not used). She came by later that night, woke me up and gave me her unused airline type barf bag. Cool.
That’s like catching a flu and curing it with a prayer. 7 days later the flu is gone and it’s definitely thanks to jesus.
As someone who was not religious, having been attacked in my own flat on my own with deep scratches and an imprint of the word "DAD" on my arm; of which both the letters and scratches burned...I can believe how these things are real...because I have no idea what the F*CK happened to me and unprovoked 😑
However there was a ghost in my flat, and I did used to live in a genuine haunted house 😐

I salute you, sir.
We’re all skeptical until we see it with our own eyes. Hopefully no one has to experience something like this, finding out might cost more than bargained for.
I've seen more than one exorcism performed.
I saw this happen 30 years ago with Joe Biden!!! He hasn't got better
Well if people are skeptics, they can always try to provoke or summon one. And probably cry about it later lol.
moustache guy, you were pastiche-acting British when it came to that bit about the putting your tea down and not finishing your biscuit.
I'm no expert on English culture, but I'd wager a dicerning gentleman such as yourself doesn't in fact enjoy tea and biscuits for breakfast, but a 1/2 finished flat beer and a cold samoosa you can't remember where you bought last night, which you fished out of an overfull ashtray while muttering "focking hell" into your glorious moustache.
You sir are an icon and an inspiration to me.
When I was a kid, my grandmother lived with us and I had to share my room with her. One night, as she laid snoring, I felt my bed shaking. I closed my eyes as tight as possible and prayed for my life. This happened several more nights. Then one night, I looked up out of the covers and saw that my grandmothers foot was on my bed and shaking while she slept. The beds had wheels and would move every time we sat down on them.
Well in a bass-ackwards way, I suppose your prayers for your life were answered since you're still here, and you got an answer as to what the heck was going on!
For those who have born witness to such things , there can be no doubt as to whether such powers as described here "exist" or not .. but there is also probably no point trying to explain or convince sceptics.. make of this comnent what you will
oh you are very right, these people didnt even know what we have seen, i was a sceptics too at first, but when i see my father and sister got attacked, boy oh boy i turned to be a goddamn believer
Another theory is that people that seem to be posessed by a demon have epilepcy, that's why they have superstrength and scars all over their body
If you have ever seen the interview with one of the priests who was present at this Excorcism, you'd believe it was all this and much worse.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Aaah, the power of story telling, and the ability people have to relate to it.

Just an idea, incase you run out of ideas. I would love to see a video on some sort of mythology. Keep up the good work and thank you for the content
I had exorcisms forced on me by my ex husband, it turns out that I too just have autism.
that’s awful!! im sorry u had to go thru that :(
Are you serious? That is scary and definitely illegal! Stay safe.
NO, it was not Satan himself, it was Pazuzu.

Came as soon as I got the notif. I also started recording my own video!
Perfect timing with the new JonTron video about the director who made the Exorcist and his awful documentary

Second time asking: Hey @Thoughty2, can you PLEASE do a video about the ancient tribes who told of a time on earth before there was a sun and moon?
That's how gods and religion were created, by ancient people who thought about how the sun, earth and life in general were created.
Which tribes are those?

Lmao, It's actually pronounced St. Louis with the S not St. Louiee. But that's okay, amazing video learned a lot about my home town.

The change at 5:43 is just so innocent and cute 😍😍!
Woke up early today... supposedly darkness existed before any other creation, so there's that.
I don't know whether to say the biggest deception is evil doesn't exist or, as your video proved, people are truly evil. But why? What did they see to provoke such atrocities upon someone in an effort to save them? I guess the inquisition explains that... which brings back the original question, if evil truly exists.
i believe we are demons in the eyes of wild animals. just let that sink in
@@13danielkools I wouldn't deny that
If this intrigued any of you or just sceptical, I recommend giving astonishing legends a hear.
@@MoldycheeseJr That's it. Thank you, I knew it was something along those lines, I just couldn't remember exactly how it went.
@@MoldycheeseJr I think Jesus went on to name the demons that inhabited the man, if I remember things correctly.

Wait I always thought the movie was based on the story of Anneliese Michel, or was that another movie? Her case is so gruesome and the audio recordings of her are haunting.... I believe she also died during or after an exorcism at just 23
