Hi y’all! Judd and I are a bit busy today, so I may not be able to reply to comments. Here is some extra info on today’s vlog: We are doing okay! We honestly are well stocked on supplies, but are still on the lookout for extra essentials if we are able to find them. Can never have enough! We also have a few tricks for water (filling large bins/cleaning and bleaching trashcans to fill and boiling water, etc). Har is going back on the kibble she ate before starting a raw diet: Taste of the Wild Salmon Formula. The dogs are also accommodated in regards to supplies. Why do I live in FL with the heat? Our life is here, our family is here, my in state tuition is here, and Judd’s career is here. Why am I not staying with my parents? Well, my mom is going with my dad to care for him (he is a stroke survivor). Caring for him and me during a hurricane is too much to ask of her. (Remember, Judd most likely will not be with us, he will most likely be working.) My dad has close family friends he wants to be with, and Paul/Janiece’s house cannot accommodate all those people. We need to allocate ourselves accordingly with supplies, and that is what we are doing. My mom and dad are going with close family friends, and myself with PJ. They know how to help me out medically as well should we need it. We all thought things out thoroughly and decided this was the best action plan for everyone. Edited to add: I'll be vlogging as usual, but if the power goes out, that's an issue lol. Stay safe! Stay up to date! There is new info on Irma with each update. Do not forget my vlogs are uploaded a day late, so do not depend on them for accurate info. I pray that this goes as well as it can. Much love to you all!
My dog doesn't eat Taste of the Wild and everywhere I look it has bad reviews and very few dogs seem to eat them. It's good Har eats it though! I hope everything will be alright during the hurricane!
Chronically Jaquie Thank you for all of the detailed updates so that we don't worry too much about you guys! We're all hoping for the best for you, your family, your friends, and everyone else who might be impacted by this hurricane.
Chronically Jaquie I was reading that you can fill empty (and clean) bottles of all sorts with tap water (if it's ok to drink) as well as filling Tupperware with water and freezing it to have for the pups and cleaning water as well as filling the bathtub to the brim with water for toilet flushing and cleaning. Toilet paper and Kleenex are staples too
Chronically Jaquie I prayed for everyone in the path of the Hurricane. I know God shelters those in the storm and you and your family will be safe in sound. God provides shelter for those who call on him. Thanks for the updates Jaquie!
I'm glad you have hippo by your side Jaquie☺ I lost my service dog a couple of weeks ago😢🐶 I miss him so much and I hope I'll get a new one soon even tho it won't replace my Pluto.
Cajsa Mörk I'm so sorry for your loss! I cannot imagine the feelings you have. Our sweetheart is 14.5 years old now, and cannot imagine a day without her. Big hug from us!
I am so nervous for you guys. All of the people in Florida as well. Please be safe. Living in eastern Canada I have never experienced a hurricane or any extreme weather really. I would be absolutely terrified! Maybe it will swing around and head out into the atlantic. I pray God will keep you and yours safe. i totally agree with you about supplies Jacquie. It is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. My thoughts and prayers are with you on this coming adventure. Be safe, love to all.
Where I am in Canada, the worst natural disaster I've experienced was a 2 second small earthquake. 2nd worse would be having thunder and lightning storms like 1-3 times a year. Really thankful that I don't have to go through anything major and don't want to take anything for granted. I wish the best of luck to those who have to go through with it and that everyone will remain safe
Since I live in the Eastern Coast and in a brick building Hurricanes don't really scare me. I think they're fun for some reason. My parents think I'm crazy tho. There really not that bad where I live.
Praying for all of Florida and those others in the path of this hurricane. You guys have been on my mind so much. I'm so happy you are being proactive and heading out to stay with Janiece and Paul. Very glad you will be together to weather this out ( no pun intended). I hope everyone gets through this safely. Love and Hugs.
Im so excited i found you channel! I'm also chronically ill with some of your same conditions and its kind of incredibly reassuring to see someone else's experiences. Thank you so much for sharing your day to day life and making me feel a little less alien. I'm praying for you guys in the midst of this crazy storm and that all of your preparation pays off and you guys are able to stay safe and healthy.
Long time watcher, first time commitment(er) Seriously didn't know and realize how much care you needed til today as I watched this video. Girl, big up to you, your hubby and hippo!! May you and all be blessed in your travels and crazy times as the storm passes by(e). Praying for all people impacted by the storm(s) 🙏🏽
Wow. The home health company was really great at sending everything to Orlando. You got everything planned. I'm so happy that you prepared everything. I'm really worried about when the power goes out bc medical tools are required by power. I hope everything goes well. But it sounds that your prepared.
you could do a gradual transition from raw to kibble :) you are so diligent in taking care of your health. I admire you so much and thanks for spreading awareness
My friend in Tampa is also evacuating to Orlando. Hope you make it safe. ❤️ Just wanted to add that my mom had a battery operated nebulizer for power outages. Maybe you could get one in the future. It also came with a car charger.
I'm going yo be in the hurricane in Florida 😢 I life right in its path! I have one bunny one cat and three dogs and start cats in my neighborhood. please pray I home texes is doing good I hope you are safe too thank you for reading
Jaquie, I will be thinking about you during this storm. I enjoy watching your vlog, as I have chronic pain from several issues, so you are an inspiration to me. Let us know how you are doing and keep us updated when you are able. Stay safe. ♡
Southern Louisiana girl here, most importantly stay safe. Check out some of the solar generators/battery combos. They can be pricy but if you have a little skill you can make your own. I can run all my medical devices off it for several days, and with a solar panel I'm set if I lose power for an extended amount of time. I do have a gas generator, and my car (Prius) will charge up the batteries if need be as well. I had to set mom up with a small setup as well for her medical devices. It's an added expense but you are so right, our prepping for emergencies is a tad more complicated. And we do the same with the water, I have dedicated water storage containers that I only need to dump and refill twice a year. I'm set always for water outages. Again, thinking of you and your family.
Harlow doesn't have to go back to kibble! There are TONS of commercial raw foods available at any small local pet stores. They are shelf stable and you just add a small amount of water to rehydrate the food. Stella & Chewy's, Primal, Vital Essentials, Sojos, and many more! I feed a brand called Ziwi Peak, which is air-dried raw and that actually doesn't need water. It's stored and served just like kibble.
I hope that all of you - your family and you - stay safe. My Mother-In-Law is not very far away from where you are at, and is also working on an evacuation plan - she has several chronic illnesses. I am a little worried about Judd, considering how dangerous is must be for him to work in this weather. I know you will be fine, you are truly prepared, and have an amazing attitude. You may be a lot younger than I am, but can I be you, when I grow up,lol? I am proud of you. Hug your dog for me, I will hug my five rescues, as any storm makes me worried about them, even more. Blessings!
Hi Jaquie, I just had a thought......I know you have probably already accounted for this, but just in case, don't forget extra water for all of the furbabies. I'll be praying for you. I live in Australia and I can't imagine what you are all going through, it must be scary. Stay safe. 🙏🏼💕
If you suspect you might lose power for an extended time, bye some dry ice and keep it in your freezer. If the power goes out quickly transfer your perishables to the freezer and keep the opening and closing of the freezer to a minimum. Provided you get enough dry ice, this should be able to keep the freezer unit in the mid to high 30's for several days. It won't keep your ice cream frozen, but it should work for what you need. Just make sure you don't have your face too close, and keeping Harlow out of the kitchen might be wise. If you do this your freezer compartment will fill with CO2. When you open the freezer door this CO2 will spill out and fall to the floor. You won't see it, but it will be there. The CO2 should fairly quickly mix with the are and diffuse out.
I have been feeding raw for over 8 years. I also work at a holistic vet. We always recommend to have some freeze dried raw food on hand just in case. There is no issues with tummy upset switching. There is a number of different brands, it's light, it last for years. It is pricy but we only use it for travel or emergency situations. Here is a couple of brands I trust I have fed in the past that you can get in your state, but I am sure there are others. www.orijen.ca/foods/dog-food/freeze-dried-dog-food/adult-dog/ www.k9natural.co.nz/dog-food-range/freeze-dried-dog-food/
I love the Not Your Mother's line, first thing I used was the dry shampoo. Glad someone else likes it as much as I do, my SO doesn't really like the smell of it though hahaha
its crazy how much I relate to Jaquie, I'm chronically ill also and I totally understand the struggle. and when shows showing her supplies I recognize more than half of the stuff
Wow jaquie.. I'm so sorry about this. Hearing about the hurricane is devastating, but I'm so happy for you guys that you are prepared. I'll be praying for everyone, specifically for you guys. I'm so sorry it's such a trouble for you guys, but hopefully you do not run into any major troubles. Keep us updated lovely. Praying for you
Jackie!!! You live right near me!!! I wish you safety during the hurricane. Even though Tampa is a safe-ish pocket I still hope you, Judd, and Harlow stay safe.
I love your courage and love that you are spreading awareness! I hope Judd, Harlow and yourself stay safe during this storm. Is your home health company going to deliver alittle extra ahead of the storm, just in case?
you poor thing! it's already a lot of stress anticipating a hurricane, let alone all of the medical supplies you need to pack. i'm praying for all of those affected by harvey and irma!
I'm so happy that your whole family is going to be with close family and friends, I just love to hear how you guys are pretty much fully stoked and ready for this horrible storm. I live in Nova Scotia and am a little nervous that it could travel up towards us, hoping and prying that it does go out to sea. I will be thinking of you and praying for you all … drive save
I am glad you guys got to prep in time. I am in Orlando and it's like they told all of Orlando to panic and go frantic and EVERYTHING is gone. I was a day too late! Traffic is INSANE! Stay safe!
So glad everyone's getting prepared.💪 This is TOTALLY when being organized with chronic illness supplies and schedules comes in handy.👌 I love how organized you are about things! 😀Without being like that, I bet it would be so difficult. Your efforts pay off! 😊 Stay safe, sending prayers! 💖
Your videos always make me smile! Even when I’m throwing up a lot today :T Yes I have a tummy bug 😭 Btw hippo is sooo cute!! I loved when u made her bark Her ears are floppy and cute!
You're incredible! A true inspiration. The fact that you have all of these syndromes and issues (not trying to be insensitive I just don't remember all their names D:) yet you still manage to keep high spirits and have fun is so inspiring! Certainly something I'll be referring back to in personal times of doubt. Keep doing what you're doing, it's amazing. (PS you are gorgeous and your skin, hair and eyebrows are stunning!)
Good luck, Jaquie! I'm in Miami and I'm definitely in a state of panic but we're ready, lol. We're gonna ride this thing out! I think you guys will be fine in Orlando. We're just hoping to be spared the eye, at this point.
I have recently discovered your channel, and I am in love with it. I have many things in common with you, but not as severe. I have dysautonomia (pots), visual floaters, mitochondria cell disorders, pseudo tumor celibri, chiari malformation (6 millimeters) and epilepsy (silent seizures) I am currently trying to train my dog to help me alert of these probloms, and she is a fast learner, but she has some behavioral issues. Keep up the amazing work!
you and your family and friends are in my thoughts, as are those in texas, florida, and the east coast. stay safe and stay strong everyone, these hurricanes are disastrous and though i'm in CA, i have lots of family and loved ones on the east coast. please stay safe and dry! ♥️
Next dog in we're going try the raw food route. Our current dog (Small Beagle-mix. Mommy was a mutt apparantly. But she just looks like a young Beagle pup. A perfect example of a Beagle, but smaller) is allergic to pretty much almost anything. Cost us nearly 4 years to find food her body can handle! We found Canagan Senior kibbles with chicken taste. Only thing she will eat AND can handle! It's like she knows when we give her the food that her body cannot handle it, because food she is allergic to she will refuse to eat. Sadly she cannot even handle rice and fish. It has given us a lot of heartache, but she is well worth it! But she is getting old, and we are getting to the point that we feek blessed with every day we get. With all her allergy problems she has made it to 14.5 years already and not showing any signs of slowing down, the only thing you can notice her age is the amount she sleeps, and her gray hairs! She is my first dog and has helped me a lot with my dog fear! I will never, ever, forget her. She is a very special dog to me. One day I wish I can get a service dog.
Ainiewainy I have a Small Beagle-Jack Russell Terrier mix. We just started him on a raw diet and I have seen so many changes in his coat, energy, etc. I would definitely recommend putting your dog on a raw diet!
I have a poodle and he's allergic to grain and poultry, it's also very hard cuz sometimes we'll find a food he likes and doesn't harm him and then they discontinue that food where we live. I would love to put him on a raw diet but he wouldn't have many choices.
its crazy with all the medications and different things you have for your illness ! i could never imagine any of that . im praying the storm doesn't hit you ❤️
Praying for you and everyone touched by this awful storm. I heard one unusual piece of advice for securing property. A native shared to empty the dishwasher and use it for things you want to secure. When closed the dishwasher is waterproof and attached to the cabinets so it is pretty secure. You probably already knew this. Safe travels for you and all others. God bless.
Thank you so much for the updates. It mean a lot to me cuz I know what it mean to safe in stroms. I can't walk by myself and needs allways samebody to look after. You have give me so much hope in life and I look up to you. You are a amazing person. Plz stay safe you and your family
I just stumbled onto your channel Jacquie and I wanted to say that I don’t think it’ll be the same knowing it won’t be you uploading anymore. Love your content and will miss you
I heard today(Wed) that all the National Guard in Fl has been called up prayers for them all especially Judd. Jacqie please be carful and prepar for 1 wee
For helping you and your items that need charges: portable car battery jumpers keep a charge, and sometimes have wall outlets on them and/or usb ports-- that could also be helpful in keeping your treatments up without electricity. They're $50-100. They do need to be pre-charged though.
We went through Irma in Ocklawaha (Ocala National Forest). We have a lot of old Live oaks. Lost a lot of branches but nothing hit the vehicles or cabin so we were fortunate. Couldn't get out anywhere for a week due to downed trees all over but that was okay. Didn't need to go anywhere anyway. Since we're in the forest, we're the first to lose power (were without it for eight days). We had a power bank (a/c d/c usb) and solar panel to charge it, solar/dynamo/battery operated lanterns, extra water collected in cat litter buckets and from the rain barrels to flush the toilet (electric pump on the well). A large stash of tap water to run through our Pur pitcher for drinking/cooking. Three different sizes of pump sprayers adapted with sink sprayers so we could wash dishes and take showers (have a propane stove). Always keep a stocked pantry so that was no issue. Just had to make sure and have enough food/litter for the cats. We used to live aboard and cruise on our sailboat so we had to be pretty self sufficient. Out here, we're 10 miles from the closest grocery store so you have to plan ahead.
Stay safe, Jaquie! I hope the hurricane bypasses Florida completely, of course, but that it at least mostly peters out by the time it gets anywhere near Orlando.
I've been watching a lot of your videos now and I can not decide what I think to be honest. But I do hope that you stay safe and there is no damage. I also have a few chronic illnesses myself so on some level I can relate to you.
frances D yea it’s really not good to mix the two and dogs actually transition easier if it’s done like a straight swap, of corse when feeding a commercial pet food and changing brands without transitioning slowly can give the dog an upset stomach but that’s because digesting that food is so taxing on their bodies raw food isn’t. I’ve fed raw to my 3 for years now and it’s always so great to see other owners doing the same. 👍
Hey Jaq! Hope you're doing well today! We're preparing to evacuate today, I live in West Palm and we're not risking it since we're almost guaranteed to take a nasty hit. I hope y'all stay safe! I don't think people realize how cool it gets after a hurricane.
I live on the East Coast of Virginia and we're not as alert as Florida, but we're still getting ready just in case it swings our way. My mom said the stores are already running out of water up here too. Everyone in Florida and on the rest of the coast please stay safe! And I know it already hit the islands so if any of y'all are down there I hope you're ok
Stay safe Jackie , I have family in the Palm Bay/ Melbourne area. Praying that you and your family stay safe during this severe storm. If us as subscribers can do anything to help please let us know.💕
I hope you and your friends and family stay safe through this whole hurricane watch and that Irma ends up staying out in the water. I'm glad your friends will be able to help you medically should you need it. It sounds like you're pretty well set up and prepared. Update when you can.
I just happened across your videos this evening. Girlfriend I have great respect for you! I watched your video about all of your chronic conditions and your video about your Autism and sensory impairment ( I'm sorry I forgot exactly what it was called) You are truly a warrior. I originally watched the video of Harlow bringing you the ranch dressing. She's a sweetie and funny too. You guys please be careful in the coming days with Irma coming. Hopefully she will veer off into the Atlantic and spare Florida. Nice to meet you and I am a new subscriber!
I know it's a bit late but for future, you should get an inverter. They are about $20 - $50 depending on the type but you can set it up in your car. The smaller ones plug into the 12 volt so you can plug in normal electronics larger ones attach to your battery and you can plug in more.
So glad you and Judd and Harlow have a good plan. A great plan for your mom and dad. But what about COFFEE for your mom? Hope she has some since it is important to her. Prayers for safe travels to your destination and for your home.
If you can't get the water try getting a portable water filter system that can be used purify even dirty water. You can usually find those in your camping section in most stores. I have friends who also live in Florida so you are all in my prayers. Good luck!
Be safe during the hurricane. I really thought it would hit Virginia we prepared too. But I hope it turns because the gulf doesn't need these hurricanes after Harvey.
Have you thought about getting two coolers and ten pounds of dry ice in two pound blocks? Keep the blocks sealed and double wrapped to prevent sublimation. One cooler for the dry ice and one using dry ice for your banana bags as a failsafe backup.
Fill up your bathtub with water and put ziploc bags of water in any open space in the freezer. It'll keep things colder longer if the power does go out but will also give you extra water when it melts! I live in the same area as you and preparing the same way! Stay safe!
I'm in Orlando we are still preparing for the hurricane. It is crazy here with traffic and stores are already out of everything. Luckily I was able to get all of our supplies and this will be our 7 month old German Shepherds first major storm. Hopefully we don't get hit too hard.
just a idea, I learned this from Loki the Red Fox turn your ac, fridge, freezer to the coldest settings. that's a good idea to gave an extra supply of meds and supplies for care. also put a lot of bottles (water) in the fridge/ freezer.
Im praying things turn for the better... I live in an rv and my Dad as well and he refuses to leave so we will be hunkering down here in lake county praying for the best
Another way to have emergency power is a power inverter for your car. Available on Amazon or in the Walmart auto department. I carry one in my nebulizer bag in case I need to do a treatment on the road. Praying for everyone who will be affected by the storm.
Your dog is so good! She kept looking up at you to make sure you were okay. I ADORE golden retrievers so this is just so cute! I know this is late but just pretend XD. Good luck with the hurricane!
12:01 "A dog! A Dog! A Dog! Please can I-"
*Mum mumbles something, couldn't quite hear, probably about how it's a working dog*
"Awwwwww!"
Kitakaze1chi #lifeofaservicedoghandler
How did you hear that? lol
Wow, you have good ears, haha! Even when I replayed it I couldn't make that out!
The ears of a god
I could barely hear that!!

I have never seen a dog so unwilling to bark lol
I wish my Chihuahua would learn from Har, lol
EROR my dog is like that it's so weird
EROR my dog would never bark, until she lived with another dog that barks All the time 😂😂
EROR OMG!! SAME!!
She is a service dog and is trained to not bark
All my hope and prayers go out to you and the people who are going to be affected by the hurricane

I just happened to be online when you uploaded. Glad I saw this 😊
Harlow is an amazing service dog. She stays so calm in a hectic situation like you were in at the store! Amazing!!

Praying for you and hoping for the best
Freezer dried or dehydrated dog food can be an alternative to kibble :)

What about keeping some instant ice packs on hand if you get too hot?
I love the Not Your Mother's line, first thing I used was the dry shampoo. Glad someone else likes it as much as I do, my SO doesn't really like the smell of it though hahaha
Please make sure y’all unplug everything before y’all leave ❤️ Stay super safe, guys ❤️
its crazy how much I relate to Jaquie, I'm chronically ill also and I totally understand the struggle. and when shows showing her supplies I recognize more than half of the stuff
Hi Jaquie,
If your pump runs out of battery, do you have tubing like IV tubing with a drip chamber to run your feeds by gravity and drops per min?
Praying for your safe travels!!
I am really glad that you guys are taking the necessary precautions and making sure you are safe as possible
I love your courage and love that you are spreading awareness! I hope Judd, Harlow and yourself stay safe during this storm. Is your home health company going to deliver alittle extra ahead of the storm, just in case?
forgottenpixel she says their gonna deliver but not about if they are gonna supply more than usual.
Mallory Lynn she said that she'll be bringing extra supplies with her, ontop of the regular order going to Paul and Janices ! :)
you poor thing! it's already a lot of stress anticipating a hurricane, let alone all of the medical supplies you need to pack. i'm praying for all of those affected by harvey and irma!
Hey have you looked into a power hookup for your car or juds truck it plugs into the cigarette lighter and you could use it for your nebulizer
It's like deja vu! Just did all of this here in Houston 2 weeks ago and boy did we need every bit of it! Good luck and stay safe!! ❤️
Stay safe! I'm in Orlando so I totally feel you. Keep safe everyone else who's going to be affected!
Even when I’m throwing up a lot today :T
Yes I have a tummy bug 😭
Btw hippo is sooo cute!!
I loved when u made her bark Her ears are floppy and cute!
Hope you guys stay safe during the storm! Your always welcome in Georgia!
I would love to put him on a raw diet but he wouldn't have many choices.
thanks Jaquie for the update. in our thoughts and prayers. also I appreciate all the comments of friends who think you're special:)
Best wishes Jacquie! It's amazing the support your friends and you show each other
Your puppy is so cute you can see how much she loves you and everything
Everytime you show what you need like your medicine, I am amazed how much that is
its crazy with all the medications and different things you have for your illness ! i could never imagine any of that . im praying the storm doesn't hit you ❤️
Praying for you and everyone touched by this awful storm.
At least all the things you have to bring are portable. You are super organized. Come to think of it, I guess you would have to be.
Stay safe. I'm glad your prepared.
I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers 💜🙏🏻
I'm on the other side of Florida so i will be watching you every day no matter how bad it is
Getting our puppy tomorrow,I'm following your training xx stay safe guys, love you Harlow God bless xx
you are SO good at explaining things! I love your channel and all you do, especially how positive you are!
For helping you and your items that need charges: portable car battery jumpers keep a charge, and sometimes have wall outlets on them and/or usb ports-- that could also be helpful in keeping your treatments up without electricity. They're $50-100. They do need to be pre-charged though.
Iv just came across your channel literally 1 hour ago and im finding myself binge watching your videos, new subscriber here x
I think you should mix some kibble in with her raw food so she can transition better and it won't be a shock to her system.
frances D
Raw and kibble digest differently so it's not good for dogs stomachs.
frances D your not suppost to do that tho
frances D yea it’s really not good to mix the two and dogs actually transition easier if it’s done like a straight swap, of corse when feeding a commercial pet food and changing brands without transitioning slowly can give the dog an upset stomach but that’s because digesting that food is so taxing on their bodies raw food isn’t. I’ve fed raw to my 3 for years now and it’s always so great to see other owners doing the same. 👍
If you can afford it, I definitely recommend Spot Farms! It's human grade and you just add water to rehydrate and you have a easy healthy meal :)
Praying for your safety from this storm! My sister lives in Florida and is probably gonna have to evacuate.
So glad you guys are preparing! You already have plenty of practice. Everything worked out great! Yay!! Keep warm and stay healthy. ❤️
Hey Jaq! Hope you're doing well today! We're preparing to evacuate today, I live in West Palm and we're not risking it since we're almost guaranteed to take a nasty hit. I hope y'all stay safe! I don't think people realize how cool it gets after a hurricane.
Oh my! Stay safe in this hurricane! I'm praying for y'all! ❤️❤️
Ps I was saying prepare for 2 weeks look how long Texas has been without power. I live in NW Ga if y'all need a place to go.
We will be praying for you!!
Good luck!
I hope everything works out and stay safe for the hurricane. Best wishes. I will pray for everyone for this strom..
Stay safe you 3!! Us Floridians are strong 💕 sending prayers your way.
Your medical drawers are so organized. It was super satisfying to see. X_X
Get an car inverter to charge pump. Also mini fridge for car. Its 12v and 110v. Got mine at homedepot Make sure it has energy saver mode.
Good luck with the hurricane!
sending prayers and thoughts out to you and your family! (i live in west palm and imra is set to hit today)
