I'm a Native American and we make our fry bread very similar. One difference is we allow the dough rise. But it's the same ingredients, just deep fried in oil. Also tortillas, but we don't use no oil for that.
Cus, you can make the dough into a shaggy dough as well. I forgot to mention. Don't knead it all the way into a ball if you don't want to. You are welcome!
Sam it has something by the name dalpri or hotpri not sure if it's the right name but it's filled with lentil peas and chunks or beef ,not sure it it's fried or baked do u kno what I'm speaking of ?
Hi, yes I know them and love them. You can make it with plain flour, or whole wheat. Here is it is, we fry them! ua-cam.com/video/MqabctJ07XI/v-deo.html
@afrog3569 isn't that cute but my thing is this why reference Jamaica as the ones who use this term. I'm certain if you typed in roti skin anywhere majority of the results would be based around Trinidad.
@Mixed°Melanin because they do. The fact is, there's a difference between oil roti/parata roti/busupshut. and dhalpuri. For instance, if the Indian guyanese and Indians in Indian say chicken curry, that chicken curry it is, not curry chicken. Hahahahahaha

My sista, it is called oil roti or parata roti, not roti skin, that is the backward Jamaican way of saying things
More than half of Jamaican don't even know what roti is so this statement unnecessary.
@Mixed°Melanin education is always necessary, might not be for you, but for other's it might be
