Recipe 1 1/2 lbs of cow feet 1 1/2 juice of lime Half of a large onion 1/3 cup of bell peppers Hot peppers (put to your likeness) Half of a large cucumbers Few pieces of cilantro (don't put a lot to overpower souse. 1 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2 minced garlic A dash of black pepper (optional) Do not overcrowd your souse! @mcintoshfamily3184 According to the heat you make it on, it can take quicker on high heat or slower or slow heat. I can not recall the time frame.
Nowadays oil is either bad for you and or way too expensive. You're taking a food thats really good for you and making it bad .I do hope you Enjoy ❤

What can be used instead of the banana leaf?
@@shawnabeckford1007 parchment paper, or a grease plate or flat pan.
I tried to make it last week, but I didn’t do too good so rinsing a pig feet off boil a little and then cooked it southern style with gravy but I’m a try again. Hopefully I will succeed. Thank you so much.😮
@princeblack952 boil your pig feet until it is tender, throw out that water it boiled in. Then you can cut up 2 gloves of garlic, 1 onion, or how much you prefer, half of a bell pepper, hot pepper, juice of two limes, fresh water, in a container, salt to taste and make your souse. Or you can boil some of the vegetables and herbs as I did. The vinegar is optional if you want. Leave it to marinate!
