I have watched many videos on YT on how to find your style. Some good and some bad. This was clear, concise and to the point. Great visuals and explanations. I am what I call a Feminine Classic. Sadly, I spent too many years trying to to be trendy instead of myself. I knew it though when I was 12, I was a girlie girl. Then I hit high school and from then on until I was late 30s to early 40s realized I was not happy in my clothes. I listened to all the videos and realized I was the HAPPIEST in dresses and skirts and girlie items. I would tell any young lady be yourself with style because that makes you the most beautiful no matter that style because you are being the true you.
I've fluctuated quite a bit over the years, but currently I'm a classic feminine. Last year I decided to banish synthetic fabrics from my wardrobe and it totally upgraded my look. Suddenly I'm obsessed with silk and cashmere.
I absolutely love this video. You’re the first person I’ve watched who has gone beyond neutrals and capsule wardrobes. I wear a lot of dresses and there are almost no videos by stylists featuring dresses.
I love combining boho bottoms with blazers and conservative tops...cardigan sweaters..almost any sweater. I love bolero jackets that show off ky small waist I have an hourglass body.
This video has helped me so much. Your descriptions and images are very clear and insightful I finally can describe my style: a mix of feminine and minimal. Thank you, I think this will help me hone my shopping choices moving forward ❤
I guess I defined my style during my working life as Classic with a Twist, the twist being a thrifted statement jacket or coat, or a pop of orange somewhere. 72 now and enjoying an active retirement, I seem to have morphed into a Sporty Chic vibe (with a side order of Eclectic Urban Aunt, which allows for statement thrifted pieces, being mindful that wearing vintage in my 70s can be aging). Getting dressed is fun, made easier with quality basics. A one-in/one-out policy (no new hangers) avoids the stress of wardrobe overload as I'm not comfortable with clutter or "orphan" garments. Am so enjoying your videos. Having just found you, I may need to indulge in a little binge watching. I promise not comment on all of them!
Great comment and thank you for sharing your perspective on vintage styles being aging. I've been wondering about that. I wore a lot of vintage in my 30s, and now that I'm 65 I realize I'd better choose pieces carefully.
I am currently wearing an all in one outfit. Black flowy floral A line dress, fitted on too with puff sleeves, midi length and sleek heels and jean jacket.
I’m definitely in the Classic camp, but with a lot of soft fabrics and textures, like silk and suede. I like to push toward Preppy/Academic a bit, except that I don’t like Preppy novelty prints, like those with anchors, hearts, lobsters, etc. I don’t like lace, embellishments or frou-frou details, I like to keep things tailored/structured, but soft. I could hardly find a single dress last summer that wasn’t prairie style, with all those tiers and ruffles, but I wore those when I was 10, in 1970! Once was enough to get the Laura Ingalls out of my system. As a Californian, I tried the super-popular Boho/Coachella style for a while, but never really felt at home in it, so it’s back to my classics. No high heels, ever. If a woman wore high-heeled, pointed pumps here, people would treat her with scorn and laughter, we know how absurd and pretentious they are. San Francisco is a major walking city, shoes like that haven’t been seen for at least three decades. Only recently have we really adopted sneakers for city wear, though, our insider rule was that residents wore proper, but practical, leather footwear, usually booties, and only tourists worn sneakers (and sweatshirts). Tourist logo sweatshirts and windbreakers sell like crazy here because tourists show up in summer, logically expecting and packing for summer weather, but they always freeze!
This was enlightening. I realized I can be a little bit of all the styles. But most strongly influenced by boho and classic. I love cowboy boots and frindge and flowing skirts but also tailored clothing depending on the occasion. Other times an edgy jacket or over sized blazer works. It often depends on the occasion. Where was the sporty look? I am in my late sixties and oftentimes find a sweat shirt and sweat pants comfy and appropriate. I have found all of these styles useful and fun over my life I have leaned more towards one or another but still embrace them all. First time viewer will view a few more before I subscribe. Thanks for a great video.
Thanks Yvonne for your comment! I find too that my personal style has changed over the years as I believe most peoples do. A sporty/athleisure style could definitely make this list, but I wanted to focus on the 9 that I think are most common.
As a guy i do a street/ preppy thing i started with in the late 70s. Hip hop did a version with polo and timbs in the 90s and called it original but i did the same thing it 2 decades earlier. I still do it today. Still get compliments. A good eye and a good body does it. Im not bragging. I dont make these fits...that's the designers who are amazing....i just buy the shit and wear it right.
I love 70s and 80s style. I was a child/teenager in the 70s and a young professional in the 80s, and clothes are so fun at those ages. Growing up in the 70s, I loved everything the college girls wore: bell-bottom jeans, boots, turtlenecks and a brown leather jacket was a great look that became classic then, as did a great skirt suit in the 80s. Nearly everything looks great on a slim, youthful figure!
Thank you for this comment because I felt more lost after watching these videos since i don't fit into any of them specifically. I think I get confused between my appreciation for cute clothes and fashion in general vs what I actually like to wear and flatters me. I also live in a very hot area so it eliminates half of my wardrobe preferences adding to the confusion lol
Minimal Edgy Vintage here :) which sounds like an odd combination, but definitely minimal with touches of the other two coming through, pending on the day, season and occasion.
Enjoyed seeing all the styles. I have been Most of my adult life a classic+preppy with feminine sprinkled in. Now though I see the Minimalist as an evolution of classic; especially due to the pandemic experience. It resonates - easy to wear and natural materials.
This really helped because a lot of the advice on UA-cam is to choose timeless pieces and to figure out you're season/what colours you are and sort of make you feel bad for buying 'trendy' pieces but actually that's just my style and I enjoy keeping up with fashion and ongoing trends!
Wow! You explained these style types pretty well! I realized that I’m all over the place. Classic, feminine, mostly minimal (but I like colors), with a sprinkle of boho sometimes in the summer.
I thought I was an edgy minimalist style type but just took the quiz and it turns out that I’m the classic style type! I can definitely see that making sense so now I’m thinking I’m a classic minimalist style type with a sprinkle of edgy thrown in. Looking forward to the video about the classic style type! 😊✨
Great video and excellent examples! I’m a feminine preppy with a boho twist. My colors are bright tints and I love florals and my core wardrobe is lots of navy bottoms and white button downs in fitted cuts and flirty fabrics. I love embellished camis worn with clean cut bell bottom jeans and moto style jackets with lace details. Shoes and purses are good quality Coach pieces in chocolate brown, navy and cream. I’m always having fun with my look and adjusting it to my moods ❤
Loved this video. I’m basically a minimalist with touches of boho (flowy but streamlined , no fussy fringe or busy prints) and sporty (sneakers and sporty bottoms). I’ll add some interest with accessories and color.
Really enjoyed this spot-on video. Great summary of all the styles. I am somewhere between classic and minimalist. New category? Love this video. Great job.
So I've always been all over the place (and yet it feels cohesive) with my style. I take parts of edgy, vintage, classic, preppy and feminine to create my style. Classic, feminine 'sex appeal' I love. Crop tops, mini skirts, body con styles, heels, pencil skirts, tied up button ups, mini dresses etc
This video is concise and easy to follow. I've discovered that I am a blend of minimalist and edgy yet have several outfits that are perfect for various moods or activities as sporty, feminine, or classic. I have mostly natural fibers, wools, cashmere, and blends for one season, and linen, silk, cotton, or ramie for the hotter months. My capsule is neutral but I love to add splashes of color. When I stand in front of my closet in the morning I love the spontaneity of putting together an outfit to fit my mood and how I'm going to spend the day. I feel like I am a blank canvas ready to add ME.
Some styles overlap, like minimal can also be classic. And the bohemian style existed long before it became popular at coachella. And I see some ballerina's like the two tone Chanel ones also as classic not so preppy. Loafers can also be preppy and classic. It just depends
Totally agree! They are definitely more fluid. That's why I think it's helpful to consider yourself as several of these styles. Thanks for the insight.
This was so very helpful. I've been trying to figure out my personal style for a while. I've viewed tons of videos but this one helped the most. I like the way you explained many of the differnt styles. I now understand which styles I tend to lend towards. Now I understand a good place to start and what to purge and what to keep. Thank you!!
This is such an eye opening video, thank you so much! I can see how intentional these celebrities are, they mostly stick to their style and what suits them, their style is not all over the place..interesting 🤔
This such a great video! I am definitely a feminine style but also a classic style. Love ruffles, bling, but I also love pencil skirts and tailored blazers. My closet is a little confusing lol what do you think ?
Thanks. This is very helpful. I have a little of all the styles. I love them all. I just want to look good in my clothing no matter what style it is. I want it to flatter my figure.
Classic minimal with some preppy thrown in, usually in the winter. What style is it when we always consider "comfort" when picking out textures and design ? Minimal? In the winter I have (for years) invested in long high quality cardigans and worn them over leggings or fitted pants, either cashmere knee length or Pendleton knee length cardigans ...I have a much harder time dressing for spring and summer. I certainly struggle with vacation dressing in the summer!
I think comfort can fall more into the minimal category. But really any of these personal styles can be comfortable and casual too. They don't need to be dressy. Like for me, I am classic and edgy. When I want to feel casual and comfortable I'll wear my black joggers and a cool t-shirt with chic sneakers.
My personal style is based on the uniforms I wore to school. Blazer. White Shirt. Skirt. This is the foundation of my basic wardrobe. Navy blazers are a mainstay and a couple of good ones never go out of style. White oversized button downs or a solid white v-neck tee. ( sometimes black or navy tee) No prints except for plaid in the winter and in summer a brightly printed Lilly Pulitzer dress. A good investment is a camel hair coat for winter. Shoes: Weejun loafers; Repetto Ballet flats. Rondini sandals for summer. Nothing ostentatious.
Omg. I see myself in a few styles. Maybe 2 definitely strongly. Minimal and Bohemian. What. Stark contrast huh? Thanks a lot for this information and explanation of the 9 styles. Love it.
Thanks Susan! I'm so curious about your style types. Do you gravitate towards minimal one day and bohemian another day or have you found a way to wear them together?
Well I am going to have to say yes. One day I’m totally boho and feel beautiful and so comfy in my skin. The. Other days I’m so minimal with just a plain tee shirt white or black solids. And a pair of jeans. In summer it’s a midi modest dress that bliiowy and flows in a breeze while I garden and wear a low casual Birkenstock sandal or barefoot. Or I will pick a pretty small floral shirt mostly in neutral colors and sometimes a pop of feminine color. And. Pair of worn in denim shorts or overalls. I’m so me when I dress like this. So carefree and yet feeling beautiful. I love all natural materials like brushed double cottons or linens and plain cotton or flax. In winter it’s a wool or blend sweaters with a pair of jeans with booties and. Thin wool or alpaca socks I know it sounds plain but that’s how I’m wired I guess. I also love the dresses like prairie kind or that trend from a show I can’t remember the name of. I really am not a trendy person. But occasionally if a piece catches my eye I will try it out. One day I want a capsule wardrobe so bad. I don’t know where to start with that though.
@@susanpunako8590 It sounds like you really enjoy your personal style and that it works for you Susan! I think that's great. I have a free ultimate capsule wardrobe checklist for women that you can grab here: ericaballstyle.com/ultimate-capsule-wardrobe-checklist/
Great video. I did the quiz. Very helpful. Only thing is all the women showing the styles have long thin legs more so than other women who aren't models or style icons.
Thanks Barbara! I focused more on personal style types than body types for this series. I wanted to show the celebrities that most clearly define these style types in my mind. But all personal style types are not dependent on body shape.
@@havana2banana I really appreciate you saying that Barbara! My purpose with this channel is to help all women feel great in their clothes and love their style. ❤
Dang I fit in almost all of these. I have a very wide variety of clothing, and one of my favorite things to do is mixing prints. And I also love trending things also. A lot of my clothes, shoes, and purses are from yard sales. And here lately it has been purses. I saw where leopard is going to be big this year, and this past weekend I got a Joan Rivers leopard blazer for just $3.00 and it is in great shape. I truly enjoyed this video, thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks Beverly! If your style works for you and you feel great in your clothes then it doesn't matter how many of these style types resonate with you. The key is knowing what you love ❤
If it's a tie-dye maxi dress I'd say Boho. If it's a tie-dye crop top then trendy. Tie-dye has been around for so long that I think it depends more on the style of the item.
@@EricaBallStyle I have tie dye tops, two dress, and even a pair of yoga pants. I guess that makes me an old hippie 😉 but, I also love classic and romantic. It's fun to experiment.
Im a easy style with natural fibers summer wardrobe mixed with 50s vintage /and for the fall I bring a bit military and easy style mixed with victorian high flat collars and military like details (double breasted brass buttons tab shoulders and lace up boots sprinkled in .
I think my wardrobe is feminine-minimalist… dresses, skirts and blouses in easy, natural fabrics and mostly solids (but not necessarily neutrals)… magenta, yellow, orange, etc.
Styles I have observed in addition to those mentioned are the funky/avantgarde style, the hipster look, the girly look using lots of cute prints and the styles of sub-groups (punk, grunge, gothic, etc.).
100% feminine style. I might be able to add (or would that be subtract?) Some minimal style because I do like to keep things fairly simple while still being mostly feminine.
I really liked this video It was very simple to the point and no nonsense !!!! A lot of fashion videos are chaotic or too personally opinionated !!! This video felt very objective!!! Which is really what I love personally!!!! So good job !!! I hope you keep making such videos!!!
One style that you didn't cover, and I might add is 'sporty'. I wear sportswear a lot in everyday life. Tees, zipneck polos and hoodies in merino, trekking trousers in technical fabrics, padded gilets in winter etc. My 'posh' style is classic and minimalist - no logos, few patterns, mostly black or navy with white, and the odd block of colour.
I was expecting one style to be casual. I see myself as classic and casual. My clothes have to be comfortable - flat shoes, nothing too tight etc. it’s a lifestyle thing that overrides style really.
My style is a mixture of feminine, boho, classic, vintage, preppy and sporty - depending on my mood/ occasion/ season. Why should I chose when I can enjoy several styles? The most important factor for me when putting an outfit together is how comfortable it is.
I still can't decide if I have a style or not. I know that I am definitely not androgynous or trendy. I have a lot of blouses, and some of them have that sort of rounded sleeve. Is that vintage perhaps because it is associated with the Victorian times? I also have a lot of slim trousers, which I never saw in these type of videos related to style. Is that vintage as well? Or edgy? I can somehow relate to the colourful pastel part in the feminine style but I normally gravitate towards trousers rather than skirts except for occasions where I wear a dress. Then my casual dresses are more of a boho style. I am not sure if I relate to the classic or not. I was with you with the timeless and high quality fabric pieces. Then you mentioned neutral colours and tailored pieces which is not me. And I do have a few patterned pieces so I'm semi-classic I guess? Preppy, not sure again. I do have one shirt which I like to dress under cotton tops during winter to have a more elongated top. So I guess I'm semi-preppy as well. Perhaps my trousers are edgy? And I do have a QUEEN black t-shirt which I like to wear with black trousers which I feel edgy in. And finallyyy, if minimal is simple, then I am definitely NOT IT!!! So you have a vintage, feminine, semi-boho, semi-classic, semi-preppy, semi-edgy gal 😂😂 that's 6 out of 9 categories. 😂😂😂 Jokes aside, I still think your video is well-explained. I just don't think I have a style. It's whatever I think is appropriate and comfortable I guess.
Thanks for sharing Elise. As long as you love what your style is (even if it falls into 6 of these types) that's the goal. Maybe your style is eclectic and you love experimenting with many types of styles. That's not a common one, so it isn't highlighted here. But if that's the style you feel great in, then I'm all for it. 😊
May I make a video suggestion? One that shows different outfits that you would make with the minimal style! Looking to buy some staple pieces for my closet. I need to start all over building my closet as what I have doesn’t ‘feel like me’ wearing them
These personal style videos never work for me because they use “aesthetics”. It’s the thing I hate about fashion, that they try to fit you into an aesthetic. But every aesthetic has different versions that come from different elements. I like the style influencers that focus on the elements that create that aesthetic. Once I was able to do that I basically created and named my own aesthetic. I’ll never like or fit into the aesthetics that are popular. I wish influencers would focus on individualism instead of categories. I think a lot of lost girls like myself struggle because we keep trying to find the style or aesthetic that works for us. Very few “stylists” know how to get to the core of why an aesthetic appeals to us but never seems to work and always feels a little “off”. It’s because the aesthetic isn’t the style at all. We call something “goth” but for some people that means one thing and for others it means a different thing. Same with grunge or any other style. If you can’t get to the core of what it is about a specific look that appeals to you, you’ll keep trying aesthetics and always feel lost. That’s what trend followers do. And so many style quizzes just feed into that. Over the years I’ve watched stylists claiming to help people find their personal style but they are always wearing whatever is trendy. Theres nothing personal about it. They are following trends because they actually have no idea what drives people’s decision making and whether or not an outfit works or doesn’t. (Like the dressing for body shapes which also fails many people). To me this video represents why fashion fails so many women, and why “experts” are often the worst to listen to because they think in terms of aesthetics instead of helping women create their own style aesthetic. It makes women look put together or acceptable to others, but they will never quite feel right in the outfit and they won’t know why. I used Elle Jeans style roots and Style Thoughts by Rita Style Key and others to make my own aesthetic. Those two influencers helped me realize why all the other fashion advice failed me. Then I adapted my own aesthetic for my color season palette and my Kibbe body type and Kitchener essences and put it all together to make my own aesthetic that fits my coloring and body type (NOT body shape!) and now videos like these that categorize style types drive me insane because saying “feminine” or “minimalist” is meaningless. There are different meanings to those words and if you don’t get at the core of what it is about a feminine look that appeals to you or works for you, you’ll always be lost! Just my opinion. I think a lot of stylists don’t even realize they are just following the mainstream trends rather than helping people find a unique style. These videos are “which box do you fit into” and then they tell you to put your own unique spin on it, but the core of what you chose isn’t defined so that will never work.
Fashion and style is a journey for most women. It sounds like it was a hard path for you like it is for many women (including myself) to get to where you are today, where you have found the style and ideas that work for you. As someone in my 40's who has been styling women, men, and teens for over 16 years and who uses my MA in Psychology (I used to be a therapist) as a foundation in my work with my clients, I definitely do not define myself as someone who is an influencer/trend follower etc. or am driven by those things. As this is a video platform and I'm unable to work with women and their individual style struggles 1-on-1, I can only offer style advice in a general sense. For some women knowing what their personal style is helps them curate a closet of clothes they'll actually love to wear while saving time, money, and frustration. This video will not work or apply to everyone and like most things in life, I think it's valuable to take the information that works for you and leave what doesn't behind. I am happy you have found what works for you to love your style and wardrobe. That is my hope for all women. ❤
My style is classic and I do wear prints, classic ones like dots, stripes, checks/plaids, equestrian, Baroque and carefully selected flora and fauna prints. Classic is not the same as Minimal, which is what you describe as Classic here, Classic includes prints. Classic styling is about the traditional tailoring and styles, mostly.
Thanks for your comment Kimberly. I'm sharing my experience of styling women for over 17 years from NY to LA and for tv and film. This is my perspective on classic style. Minimal style to me is defined by relaxed fabrics and silhouettes and an "unstyled" element, while classic is more streamlined silhouettes, luxury fabrics and timeless.
I wouldn’t say trendy is a style because each trendy piece can fall into different style categories. Leather coats could be trendy and that’s edgy whereas sweater vests could trend and that’s preppy. Someone who (only) wears trendy styles is choosing what to wear based on others vs their own personal style which is what these categories are trying to help you find. I would replace trendy with avant garde or maximalist.
I’m more on the preppy and feminine style…in the Phils where the weather is always warm or hot you can’t dress well like layering. It’s either dress/skirt or shorts/tshirts
Love classic style; however, given my body shape (petite hourglass), and my outdoor lifestyle, classic style does not work for me. Love my minimal style with feminine touches. Have dressed in this manner for years. Thank you for this video! I never knew I had a style. I just know what works for my body, my life, and what I feel good wearing. New subscriber. Looking forward to watching more videos.
Dear Erica, I was thinking about this a lot and I dont know what to do in case I really like different styles that are almost the opposite of each other - I like romantic vibes like French romantic aka Sezane cardigan + jeans vibe, tea dresses, and then masculine outfits such as jeans, loafers and oversized blazer. And I feel like I can be one person one day, and another - another day and it['s like I have these different personnas that dont allow me to form a cohesive style.. Any tips?:) I would appreciate your input! :)
Hi Aina my question for you is, does it work for you to dress in different styles on different days? If your answer is yes, then keep doing what works and makes you happy. You don't have to have just 1, 2, or even 3 styles. BUT, if you are not happy with your wardrobe and style then I would take time to really think about what clothing styles feel like YOU and embracing more of those. ♥

I think I get confused between my appreciation for cute clothes and fashion in general vs what I actually like to wear and flatters me. I also live in a very hot area so it eliminates half of my wardrobe preferences adding to the confusion lol
Best video I’ve seen in understanding styles💞
Thanks so much Marion!
Minimal Edgy Vintage here :) which sounds like an odd combination, but definitely minimal with touches of the other two coming through, pending on the day, season and occasion.
Love that!
Classic, minimal, n sometimes edgy n vintage❤
Enjoyed seeing all the styles. I have been Most of my adult life a classic+preppy with feminine sprinkled in. Now though I see the Minimalist as an evolution of classic; especially due to the pandemic experience. It resonates - easy to wear and natural materials.
That's a great observation Millie. It does look like a lot of the classic style type moved more toward minimalism.
Me too
This really helped because a lot of the advice on UA-cam is to choose timeless pieces and to figure out you're season/what colours you are and sort of make you feel bad for buying 'trendy' pieces but actually that's just my style and I enjoy keeping up with fashion and ongoing trends!
I'm glad this was helpful for you Kelli! Knowing what style you feel best in is key.
Wow! You explained these style types pretty well! I realized that I’m all over the place. Classic, feminine, mostly minimal (but I like colors), with a sprinkle of boho sometimes in the summer.
Thank you! Most of us have more than one style we resonate with 😊
The most useful style video for me so far. Thanks!
I'm so glad! 😊
A fantastic breakdown of styles Erica! I am a mixture of androgynous, edgy and minimal….I think! 😉
Thanks Andii! What a great mix of styles.😊
I thought I was an edgy minimalist style type but just took the quiz and it turns out that I’m the classic style type! I can definitely see that making sense so now I’m thinking I’m a classic minimalist style type with a sprinkle of edgy thrown in. Looking forward to the video about the classic style type! 😊✨
Love this Amber! ❤
My style is classic, feminine and playful 😊 I do add touches of edgy and sporty depending on my mood. I love this video presentation style👍🏽Well done!
Thanks so much! 😊
Definitely classic and so minimal. Loved your video
Thanks Maura!
Thanks for your comment Jo! 😊
Loved this video. I’m basically a minimalist with touches of boho (flowy but streamlined , no fussy fringe or busy prints) and sporty (sneakers and sporty bottoms). I’ll add some interest with accessories and color.
Thank you for your comment ❤
Really enjoyed this spot-on video. Great summary of all the styles. I am somewhere between classic and minimalist. New category? Love this video. Great job.
Thanks so much Nikki! Most of us fall into a couple of these styles. ❤
If it works for you Mariah and you feel great in your clothes then that's the most valuable thing 😊
Thank you! This was helpful! :)
You're welcome Melissa! ❤
This was very helpful! Thank you so much!🙏🏻
You're welcome Corina! I'm glad it was helpful 😊
Love this Sheila!
This is so helpful. Thank you
You're welcome Tobi!
it is a mixture of classic, preppy, and minimal for me. I especially like that you focus on style and not on things like color analysis
Thanks Rosa! 😊
Thank you!!
Thank you for your comment! I'm happy to hear you understand your style more ❤
Thank you! Great input ❤
Thanks Jo! 😊
This is such an eye opening video, thank you so much! I can see how intentional these celebrities are, they mostly stick to their style and what suits them, their style is not all over the place..interesting 🤔
Glad you enjoyed it Caroline! Most if not all of them have Stylists that help. 🙂
I am definitely edgy and classic
This such a great video! I am definitely a feminine style but also a classic style. Love ruffles, bling, but I also love pencil skirts and tailored blazers. My closet is a little confusing lol what do you think ?
Thanks Noelia! Most of us will have more than 1 personal style type that makes up our unique style ❤
What a great video. Thank you for helping me nail down my style!
Thanks Joanne ❤
Thanks. This is very helpful. I have a little of all the styles. I love them all. I just want to look good in my clothing no matter what style it is. I want it to flatter my figure.
Thanks for your comment Denisa!
( sometimes black or navy tee)
No prints except for plaid in the winter and in summer a brightly printed Lilly Pulitzer dress.
A good investment is a camel hair coat for winter.
Shoes: Weejun loafers; Repetto Ballet flats. Rondini sandals for summer.
Nothing ostentatious.
So I’m classic with sides of edgy and minimal, but certainly not trendy or feminine!
Yours is the best video I have seen about personal style. I'll definitely watch more.
@@havana2banana I really appreciate you saying that Barbara! My purpose with this channel is to help all women feel great in their clothes and love their style. ❤
thanks for the video, really interesting and helpful
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful 😊
Thank you thank you thank you 🙏 .. I’ve been looking for a such detailed video for a decade ❤❤❤❤❤
You are welcome Marea! ♥
I suggest its a matter of occasion- edgy minimalist for everyday and work; Italian/ French feminine for special occasions like weddings and birthdays.
Love that! That makes total sense too. 😊
How about a few of this? And mixing and matching? I guess I am not sure, I’ll wear what looked good and feel good at the time 🤷🏻♀️🙏🌺
Your style doesn't have to be just one of these. It can be several that feel like YOU. 😊
Where is the tie dye? Is it Vintage or Boho? I like something about many of these styles depending on mood, weather, occasion, etc.
@@lose999%22 The key is to find the style you feel confident and happy in. It seems like you've done that! 😊
Im a easy style with natural fibers summer wardrobe mixed with 50s vintage /and for the fall I bring a bit military and easy style mixed with victorian high flat collars and military like details (double breasted brass buttons tab shoulders and lace up boots sprinkled in .
My style is minimal, casual, and a pop of egdy.
Excellent...thank you. New subscriber. Would you consider doing a Kibbe body style
so we know what really looks good on us for our body type.?
Thanks Rana! I am working on a video series that will help women know what works for their body shape. ❤
I think my wardrobe is feminine-minimalist… dresses, skirts and blouses in easy, natural fabrics and mostly solids (but not necessarily neutrals)… magenta, yellow, orange, etc.
Im an Edgy Classic 🥰
Styles I have observed in addition to those mentioned are the funky/avantgarde style, the hipster look, the girly look using lots of cute prints and the styles of sub-groups (punk, grunge, gothic, etc.).
Oh, and I forgot the sporty/casual type.
Yes, those are def ones to add. Thank you!
100% feminine style. I might be able to add (or would that be subtract?) Some minimal style because I do like to keep things fairly simple while still being mostly feminine.
I really liked this video
It was very simple to the point and no nonsense !!!!
A lot of fashion videos are chaotic or too personally opinionated !!!
This video felt very objective!!!
Which is really what I love personally!!!!
So good job !!!
I hope you keep making such videos!!!
Thank you AG! I really appreciate you taking the time to write this comment 😊
I think you could put casual under minimal. Minimal has an effortless unfussy ease to it just like casual style. Something to consider.🤔
Excellent work. So useful!😊
Thanks Colleen ❤
My style is a mixture of feminine, boho, classic, vintage, preppy and sporty - depending on my mood/ occasion/ season. Why should I chose when I can enjoy several styles? The most important factor for me when putting an outfit together is how comfortable it is.
One can’t fully describe Preppy without pleated miniskirts and plaids, they’re essential. Also, athletic sweaters, vests and fitted blazers.
This was very useful, thank you
I'm so glad! 😊
Very thorough. Thank you!
Thanks Violet! 😊
I’m smart casual with a touch of country
Preppy and Coastal Grandma 😊
Love it! 🙂
Jokes aside, I still think your video is well-explained.
My style is crazy colors and large patterns.
I’m minimal style!
May I make a video suggestion? One that shows different outfits that you would make with the minimal style! Looking to buy some staple pieces for my closet. I need to start all over building my closet as what I have doesn’t ‘feel like me’ wearing them
thank you for this video,,it's the bestt ,, could you tell me please what is the difference between tomboy and androgynous?
Thank you! I think tomboy is an older term that isn't used as much anymore.
@@EricaBallStyle thank you so much for your reply🙏🏻
Im minimal classic, skinny jeans, black, grey, white with blue or green pastel tops..only wear a dress in hot weather or an event
Eclectic?
I believe I'm feminine, vintage, and minimal ❤

Looking in Amazon for color palette for my season colors . Have you any idea?? Great job, love it all ❤
Thank you! I don't follow color theory very closely so I don't have any recommendations for you.
Great channel!
I’ve finally found my seasonal styles:). Thankful to have found you!
Thanks Colleen! Glad you to have you here ❤
I wouldn’t say trendy is a style because each trendy piece can fall into different style categories.
That makes sense Aba! Thanks for your comment 😊
Welcome Tracy! Thanks for introducing yourself. I love that you already know what works for you and what you feel good in.
sporty minimalist through and through
I've been all over the place. Started out boho, became minimal, then edgy, classic and now feminine. Does everyone do this?
I think a lot of people over time may change their personal style ❤
I figured out that my person style is old lady!
😂 😂 😂
😂❤ some days for me too!
I love this! I was also told I dress old lady like but very nice looking. I took it as a compliment.
I think I am feminine style . Lots of prints on my tops .
