Lets make fish keeping great again!! Share this video!
SG Bearded Aquarist YEA!
Bro you should make a video about anti chlorine and water change .. and I notice in some of your video your tank is longer then your stand or cabinet.. a stress factor?
Thanks for making this interesting video , excellent infotainment !
Great video, lovely people in Singapore. I miss living there and hope to share 5 minutes with you sometime if I can return one day. Cheers.
Cheers this is a super good video cheers friends
I started fishkeeping when I was 24 back in 2006....I will probably continue this hobby up to my dying day.I stuck to just one type of centerpiece fish(platy)since the day I started until today. Also just used only filters from Eheim from day one until now.
I love the shrimp tank that I set up a year ago too.....Learnt how to keep shrimp only last year.
I had went through so many fishes over the years like Ryukins, the other livebearers apart from the platy, tetras, rainbowfishes and barbs but my first love is still the platy.
Felt that the platy had always been underrated in the hobby.
Platys were my first fish when I got back into the hobby in 2018. I miss them for sure!
@@SGBeardedAquarist Oh....their colors across 325000 strains are enough to rival the colors of the marine fishes.
It is tough to be an aquarium business owner. We need to support them! Thank you for this great video
I really hope that the fish hobby would be alive again in sg, it seems like nowadays many people are too glued to their mobile devices to even do this things. Also fish shop owners in SG don’t earn much pls at least try and come down to support them
💯!!! I love that this video is so personal and genuine. MORE PLEASE!
Thanks Mandes!! 😁
Best vid I seen in long time! Loads of fun watching these pioneers speak their mind!

One of the most valuable video for local fish keepers

Mr Toh of That Aquarium, how is he doing lately? havent seen him in quite some time. anyone knows his whereabouts?
This was very well done!
Thank you! Took a lot of time, this comment is really appreciated!
Fantastic video 👍. Sometimes I cannot avoid myself from thinking whether the ornamental fish hobby will not continue among the new generation. However I'm glad my 2 sons share the same passion n hobby. It has brought the family closer 😊

Thanks bro! 😁
Very nice video 👌 keep it up man
Thank you very much!
Awesome vid dude!
Thank you!
to conditioned to be relevant,,, competition is not the driver of humanity,,,,, it is just a tool that has been used to focus humanities energy where selected people prefer.... it's a means of pulling the wool over people's eyes... We watch football so the players make the game more interesting which results in you watching a performance dressed up as a genuine competition....
You are reaching 10k subscribers keep up the good work👍
Thanks for always supporting!
Wow great video man 👍
I like Steven Pereira style
“ drink beer n smoke “ 😆
Hahahaha yeah so funny!
I just saw you at NEX. Can't wait for your next video !!
Hi Hidayat, were you at coffee bean? And next video will be a good one! 😉
@@SGBeardedAquarist yes i was at coffee bean.
I'll say hi if I see you around! 😀
As an aquarium hobbyist, I truly grateful for this video, its truly have felt like the aquarium hobby are dying, as it's getting harder and harder to find LFS around the neighbourhood to get supplies. Hope to see more such videos around to continue to promote aquarium hobby to more Singaporeans and let this hobby thrive again.
It's like a forgotten hobby for many. Time to spread the word and remind everyone how fun keeping fish is 😁
Fantastic video bro. We need these owners around to feed our addiction and love of this hobby. I dare say I visit an aquarium at least twice a week. 😁😁😁
Thanks bro! I would go to aquariums so often if time wasn't a limiting factor. These days I average once a week I guess. Which aquariums do you go?
@@SGBeardedAquarist I visit That Aquarium at Upper Changi and also K & K Aquarium in Tampines. When I have time on weekends, I visit OTF at Pasir Ris.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 power bro! More of this bro.
Thanks bro!!
I love these videos bro I love the fish keeping culture over there so much more than here.
Edit: The hobby is definitely not dying. I’m turning 20 and I am working on scaping my 3rd tank for my birthday on the 10th.
That's great to hear!! Where are you from?
SG Bearded Aquarist I am from the southern United States, when I go to fish stores here they rarely care for and love fish as their own like you guys do over there.
Really blessed to be living in an aquarium gold mine country!
just me exploring a new hobby, passing by
Welcome to the dangerous addiction
This is my favourite video of yours holy shit man
Thank you!! 😁
Great video bro interesting topics! i 100% agree common mistake for fish keeping on Anti-Chlorine! A lot people think that tap water is safe enough for fish and they will survive. Not true at all cause tap water contain chemical like Chlorine, Fluorine compounds, Nitrates and more that are very harmful to fish. Like my friend keep betta less then a month all the fish die.
Bro make more videos! also about Arowana and Betta fish! Oh yah i hope you can make a video about how fish hobbyist prepare water change of their aquarium like using aged water that are prepared and how much water change detail.
I need to choose a parrot 😅
Thats part of the journey bro hope your video makes fish keepers alive so that Aquarium owner or fish seller will grow now decline.
Thanks bro!!
The comp an corp was a good saying
Thanks Brandon! 😁
Lol i love watching BCA boss talking in english but who cares we are Singaporean we learn Singlish more! wishing all the local fish bosses in the vid a bright future
Singlish ftw! Hahahahaha
i think he's Malaysian...
Mr Yap came to my school for a talk. Of course, I had to take a picture with him!
Awesome! When was that?
@@SGBeardedAquarist National Day last year.
I followed your ig.
HAHAHA passed by farmhouse aquatics a few times and shyly looked around (because I wasn't buying anything 🙈) but never said hi to the owners before! Both seem super friendly
Now you don't have to be paiseh about looking around and not buying anything. Just remember say you need help if Malvin asks you 🤣🤣🤣
@@SGBeardedAquarist 需要!!!
Nice one. Abit off topic but do you happen to know any carpenter who can make good wood stands/cabinets? (in SG)
Thank you! And no I don't know any
SPA can do it. They do customised cabinet stands & tanks :)
@@DilyzLee Thanks. may I know what's SPA? Couldnt find it on google
@@JinGwee opps! Its called Sun Pets & Aquariums 😅
@@DilyzLee Oh ya. Thanks :D
THIS BUSINESS WILL NOT MAKE YOU A MILLIONAIRE , it’s a HOBBY! Totally agree with you botak ken!

SG Bearded Aquarist real & genuine people! Excellent work on the video bro!
Thank you 😁
My mother say only millionaires can go into this business 🤣🤣
Fuck me no way. If anything where I am its growing. Nearly everyone I know has a tank of some sorts even if it's a nano
your English has come very far
That's great news 🤣
Have an aro myself
Love aros!
Crossback aro
Is the extreme aquatic shop still there?
Yeap it is
Why you never go aro kingdom, what is your day job
Where's aro kingdom?
Sungei tengah beside rainbow farm
They specialise in red aro
:)
😁
Long lost video haha
Hahahhaha yes indeed 🤣
But QH boss is a millionaire:)
Hahahaha that one fish farm different
Lack of innovation and invention which seems to be the common denominator these days,,,, The people that have dominated the industry thus far kept going down the same road relentlessly until they killed the attraction entirely, money forces people to go with what has worked in the past because it creates predictable results that justified their business model, yet in doing so the industry stagnated long term ,,, most people have had a fish tank once or twice in their lives and the thing they remember the most is the high maintenance and the eventual chore of removing it....Capitalism does not drive innovation or invention it only drives what can be used to make a profit. whereas capitalism should ONLY drive innovation and invention because if done correctly the profits occur as the result of new and interesting ideas entering public awareness naturally.. thus creating an attraction which leads to demand ,,, its rigged up backwards which has created an entire predictable reality of DeJa'Vu experiences...
New flats are becoming smaller than old ones. There is not even enough space for a 3feet tank. That is why the hobby is dying.
