Picking my favorite denim! For my clothing brand! Clothing line...whatever! Mikey is starting his own business in 2021! Of course it's raw Japanese selvedge denim...what else is there. Anyways this is the third update for my clothing line and things are COOOOKKIIIIIN!!! Naked and Famous sent me over some denim samples and some leather samples to look through and I had a heart attack over them. It's a classic denim, 14.5oz in weight, a little heavier than a pair of your fav Levi 501's. A little lighter than your 21.5oz Iron Hearts. It's denim everyone, it's the best spring pant, the best fall pant, the best winter pant. It's the best. Okay now goodbye.

I think it would be cooler if you use the natural leather patch for the first jacket, especially because it probably will make the design pop out more, or be more defined

He's 100% right. Especially if the snail design is done in a darker colour like black.
Plus the design will become more pronounced as the natural leather ages and gets a natural patina. Could looks pretty sick after awhile

Natural leather absorbs dyes and pigments so you can draw on it with markers. I often like to give my leather goods to my girlfriend to have her doodle on them. It's a little thing, but having her drawings on a jacket patch would bring me joy.

Your video quality is always improving and your comedy is consistently funny, along with he soundtrack. Super excited for the jacket, are the YKK buttons going to be brass? I feel like so many denim jackets have silver colored buttons and brass buttons would be beautiful for a change. Natural is my suggestion for the leather, because like the snail, it is unchanged, infallible, an untouched. Can't wait to see more!

The problem I've encounter with leather on denim jackets are those thick leather tag patches. As you wash them it hardens and get so really uncomfortable to wear. Remember its inside of the jacket. Especially if Im only wearing a thin cotton tee inside. So I usually remove them. I prefer cloth tags or paper tags.

Voting for natural leather!! It'll patina and change together with the jacket in a much more pronounced way then the burgundy, imo :) fits the overall philosophy, too, quality stuff that gets better with age!

In honor of NYC's rank choice voting:
1. PINK-You have a pink selvedge ID line and it's whimsical. I mean how often have you seen a pink patch? No one will really see it anyway since the jacket is being worn.
2. Maroon-It'll go with the red patch on the left arm.
3. Natural-sorta vanilla
Reading some of the comments and looking at them as if they are a focus group, I don't think people will not buy if it has a pink leather patch but some people will definitely buy if it does. Meaning for most it's not a dealbreaker if you went pink, but you'll definitely get some people who will specifically buy it because it does. Hopefully, that makes sense. I just think you may be worried about what would sell, and would you turn people off if it was pink.

Did you say the chosen denim had a pink selvage line? Because a pink patch
would make sense. You could match the selvage line color and the patch color in future releases (different colors different releases)

@@TheIronSnail if you established this (match selvedge line to patch) it opens up the options in some ways. Instead of concentrating on the color of the patch (as this is predestined by the denim choice) you could instead focus choice on the texture & finish of the patch.
I thought the snail was going to be silver and make of iron. What price range are you aiming for? If the price is reasonable and the color is dark, I'm in.
Will the leather patch be on the inside of the jacket? If so, color don't matter. If on the outside, I may cut it off.
