The Elephant 12 is my very 1st pair of Naked and Famous jeans and it's my favorite as well. I purchased mine at the store in Manhattan back in late September. CJ helped me out and he really knows his shit about all things Selvege 👍👍

My favorite? The 18oz big slub. A real eye catcher and a good winter wind breaker when you're having a cold one outdoors on a chilly evening.
I've been working on mine since summer. But a lot more lately, the UB 22oz big slub are my favorite at the moment, not as pretty, but lots of textures.
A very under rated pair - I think once people are reminded of just how amazingly they fade we'll see a lot more fanfare for these.
@@NakedandFamousDenim extremely underrated. I don't know why there's so many left. Those were actually the first pair I got for myself as a birthday gift.

That jean was actually a 2022 release, but I'm glad Vincent showed it off for jean of the year. Such a fun pair to own, especially if you have a connection to Quebec.
The best release of the year is the True Guy fit! A truly classic fit that works for more body types than previous NF fits!
This weekend Risa and I will go over our top picks the True Guy is certainly up there.
Maybe I should try a size down in true guy? I only have one pair and it's the Snowy. I don't have big legs but love the rise. I'm pretty much up a size in the waist and the Snowys were like 3-3½" bigger in the waist. I like a straight leg and high rise but I don't like too much room in my thigh. They don't look bad, just gotta fine tune it.
love the denim styles, these fellows need a small raise in order to get some heritage boots.

Wow it's honestly so incredible to see how much Naked and Famous and Tate + Yoko have grown!! I remember when Tate + Yoko first launched their website and Instagram page, probably like 10 years ago - and now to see such fun content being created and shared, it's honestly so great see!! I'll be visiting Montreal (and most likely Tate and Yoko) next week - would love to meet you boys! I'll be sure to be wearing my Okayamas and all 16oz of its savoury unsanforized Japanese goodness from 2016! Love to see that Naked and Famous is continuing to create wacky and fascinating Japanese denim made in Canada!

Best release of the year was the MIJ11
I ended up getting more jeans this year than I’d planned. I have to go with my first pair this year, the Made in Japan 10: Okayama spirit as my top jean. Major shout out to the hard+soft and coming in at the last minute, from behind the curtain, running down the ramp into the ring as a shocker…the king of slub 2. I was absolutely not prepared for the texture of them! Others picked up, but not started yet we’re, Snowy, 15th anniversary and the ones I’m perhaps most excited to start wear in out of ALL of these is the Elephant 12. They are going to be amazing. With all of these my 2024 is looking booked up!

Too much to choose from. I think I got 6 pairs of N&F 2 pairs of UB. And a pair of momotaro jeans... and some decent 14.5oz Round house work jeans that I love the fit of. Made in America. Kinda similar to weird guy but a little bigger opening, and tighter I'm the thigh. No selvedge, but a great fit. Just a dark wash too so they'll fade decent. I use their bib overalls for work. I just buy irregular pairs for $30. I guess they had leg twist? I don't know, but I don't mind that anyway. Yeah. I don't think I but over 2 months on a single pair yet. But I'm gonna try to focus on the UB 22oz big slub for now. I got a month and a half on them. I've actually fallen asleep in them lol an left them on. They're calming, like a weighted blanket.

I want Vinny in more video footage lol. And my pick from this year. Has to be the Snowy true guy. Its my first true guy fit. And tho i absolutely love my 22oz big slub UB denim, I love cats more and my kitty gray, so was he brother who sadly passed away 3 years ago, but they're a great break from all the indigo. I still need to hem them. I wasn't sure with the true guy fit what to do at first. They are very cripsy jeans too.
I do want pagoda dyed, but i have turmeric dyed, but 15oz is better than 12 sometimes. I donno I'm trying to justify more jeans and I will maybe get the deadstock black or black x gray, but my next indigo purchase will be MIJ. I have enough to work on and need to hold off for a while. But I still will get some of the old work shirts before their all gone, cause lets be honest, N&F has some fine upper fabrics as well. More pocket tees. I want the mid century pique, tho still a little pricey for me atm. If i just get back to work, were good.

@@NakedandFamousDenim wait a cat store or clothing store? I have been donating an old pair of jeans for each one I buy. And I was doing 2 shirts put shirt. I love that I finally got to enjoy this stuff first hand. I was on the fence for a long time. Thanks to guys like Michael and other reviewers I learned a lot about fabric and after a year I got my toes wet and fell completely in a sea of Japanese fabric. Cause it's not just the jeans, there's great shirts, I love the old darted shirts. And the tsuriami material. Still waiting for them cardigans to come back. Saw one go for $30 but didn't act fast enough :(

@@brasero20000 Hi, fades are coming in nicely, it's a lot brighter shade of blue than I expected. Been wearing them for about a month, 29 wears, not consecutive, fades showing on cuffs, back pockets, and a little around the crotch. I love mine, grab a pair if you can.
Spaghettification is what happens to objects as they cross the event horizon of a black hole. The ripping apart of an object on a molecular level.
My favourite is the elephant 11 S which I just got and started to wear. Loving the chunky rolls and creases and looking forward to the kick-ass fades.

How are those going for ya? I'd love to get a pair, but I'm not working, so I ended finding a pair of elephant 11s in the half off section but no one ever marked them down. But Bahzad was pointing out that some came back on the live stream and noticed they weren't marked down and said he'd do it after and I was waiting, so finally I asked and he took care of it. But those feel smooth compared to like the UB 22oz big slub or 18oz n&f. So basically I jealous that you have the unsanforized slub. I feel like the elephant 11s went through too high of heat or something. I like hairy denim. I have a pair of momotaro that are very hairy. A little tight on me cause of the low rise, but I got them 2nd hand, with no fades great condition $75
@@JoeyDecay I love the big slub I had to shrink them first in cold water then medium heat dry didn’t shrink then I did warm water warm heat then finally hot water only legs then high heat then I had to take them to get hemmed. I really want to get the elephant 11 I’m starting to like heavy weight over anything else and love anything stubby or neppy
@@FreddyGonzales1986_ like 14oz feels super light to me now. Especially since it's awesome to wear heavyweight in the winter. I want like 25oz denim now. But other companies that have them never seem to sell a high rise jean. I like my jeans around my waist not below my hips like a chick from the early 2000s lol

My favorite is tied between the Elephant 12s and the Elvira’s. Just getting some fades to show on my 12’s. Looking forward to how the Elvira’s fade.

I think from a stream from waaay back, they talked about having B stock in various styles and sizes, but I don't remember what they do with them..
@@shirayasha thanks I gotta remember to ask about this and the possibility of a 25oz denim. Other companies have a regular 25oz jean, but they don't have any good fits. All have too low of a rise, or I might try like brave star. But something over the elephant series but not like waiting for a crazy 40oz. O know koS is 23oz, but I'm talking like UB 21oz. Nothing super crazy, just heavier and affordable. Even if they do it under UB

What size? Lol. I don't understand why people dislike heavyweight. It's only cotton. Unless you live in like Central America and it's always warm. But right now I'm rockin UB 22oz big slub most days. To me it's calming, like a weighted blanket. It's already gotta cold enough for me to wear long John's under them

That's right! Heavyweight fabrics are like that, you ca be impressed with how crazy they are and love them at the same time.
@@AnalEyesAnalyzeAnalLies ohh I get you. Yeah definitely not easy to fade or break in fast. Especially if yr like me and are working on 8 pairs... and since they're slubby it's even harder to see if its a fade or a light spot. There's a part on my pocket I store was starting from my wallet, but doesn't sit like that just a higher weft penetration area.
The no-date Sub is for people who know what they’re doing.
