What I have found with UA-cam is there are so many superb film makers on here making quality contributions with what is probably only a few hundred pounds worth of equipment (decent phone). The large broadcasting corporations have budgets of £millions but some of these UA-cam videos are as good, if not better. Claire is certainly one of the contributors who continues to provide us all with extremely well presented, quality material.
Great adventure and attitude to getting out in the wild. Wet feet and boggy ground is guaranteed in Wales. Lovely scenery though. Thanks for taking us along.
I found you whilst lying in bed recovering from abdominal surgery and absolutely love your videos. I started watching them in 'backwards' order, then decided to go 'oldest first' It's fascinating to see how you do things differently and to realise how much more confident you are now! X
The silence @5:14 and again @13:50 just wow! Just love the videos Claire, it's just such a relaxing watch. Ps I know its 2yrs old, but im watching them as they appear on screen 😊
Supertough Wildbeare continues her fascinating adventures through wild difficult terrain. We wish her all the best with her great travel vlog.Keep safe Wildbeare.
How can a person not fall in love with this lass, I just wild camping, discovered wild bear whilst on wandering where s site, fantastic way to see these awesome off the path places ,who better to show you with such passion for what is right in front of us, nice one lovely lass, watching your journeys heals me , keep doing it. All the best and happy travels to you and yours.
Amazing. I was lucky enough to have North Wales as my local playground for a short time in the 1980’s and your trips and expert cinematography are fabulous, thank you.
As someone who came from Scotland to Beddgelert in Snowdonia for nearly 30 years in February by motorcycle to camp in the forests, i loved your adventure, cracking scenery, great views and gorgeous lady ! 👌
10/10 for effort. You picked probably the most remote area in Snowdonia and the Rhinogs is a proper mountain day not to be under estimated as you found out. But i love your energy and beautiful smile always worth watching 😉
It really is something special to be in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal or easy way out. It's that thrill I relish when out in places like this. This location looks lovely may well pop up there at some point for a few days. ATB Rob
See you liked Dan (camp life buscrafts ) pic on insta he took today of me and him in a field (I was by the tree with beer 🍻) just back in from that walk. Was so good to be out soaking up the nature vibes!
I agree.. we all need to get out of our comfort zone once in a while. I just spent 3days hiking some snowy trails way back in the Sawtooth mountains of Idaho. I found a Hotsprings and soaked for an hour!!! It’s wonderful when you get out and hike a while... it’s amazing what you’ll see.
Ive seen recent and this earlier video. Simply? Captivating! What you chose to stop, do a still photo absolutely splendid! Teaching as you go this 'fan' is very appreciative. Thank you
😁 been waiting for this!! going to wait and watch it with the little one...just going to get her from school!!....comments to be continued‼️ Well, thanks Claire...we finished watching and then proceeded to pack, unpack, repack, adjust, unpack then pack again!! She's 10 and enjoys your videos and the landscapes (I'm now asked if the pink bunny is coming back though??). This was like watching a movie with your cinematography and editing. Can't wait for the next one...brilliant 🏕 🔥 👍🏻
Sometimes in the mountains it can be hard to find a decent pitch ... Rocks grass clumps bogs etc...it often helps to have a small footprint tent or one man bivi... As much easier to find a place to sleep... In the past I've taken a tarp (erected on wall or trekking poles) as admin area and then hooped bivi to sleep IN.. but it's nice to have the room in a Decent tent too... so pros and cons
Thirty years ago I saw only my two companions all day at the Rhinogs ! The rock is rough on your boot soles and it holds the water , a bit like Dartmoor but higher . On a clear day you can see for miles , but I doubt I would wild camp as the wind can come up really quickly ..... you are maybe five miles from the sea and up high ! Looking out to the West I remember some very stunted trees , probably three feet tall and old old . Shane , my friend , pointed out some movement he had noticed in one of the trees . There was a newt on a tree branch . It is the only time I have seen a wild newt . How very strange to find a newt so high up , but I swear we saw it ! Fair play to Claire !
My Yorkshire wife has been with me in Wales for 12 years now. I remember her first attempts. Ha. She's got it now though. It seems alien to me that people would struggle with our Ff or Rh. What a beautiful language though.
A wonderfully made film about an area that I had not previously heard of, which is strange because it's so beautiful. A hidden gem. It definitely has the feeling of a more remote wilderness though, which might put some people off venturing there alone. But trips like these are wonderful for the mind, heart and soul, and there is nothing like spending time in nature, in quiet solitude, with nothing to cloud one's thoughts, in complete self reliance. It puts things in perspective.
Quite a video, that - the footage and the soundtrack are frankly spectacular. Been watching your stuff during my long recovery from a life-threatening condition - pretty much "there" now. Thank you SO much for keeping me in touch with this sort of thing along the way. As I sip my coffee in my camping hammock before I go to sleep, I make a quiet toast to you.
Wow, super far out. I prefer the Rhinogs to North Snowdonia. As you now know just simply wild - some of the last wilderness in Wales. Well done for stepping into the zone so to speak. I absolutely love going off piste into them bogs. And the sound in these wilderness areas is just so pure and perfect. It's no wonder we feel cleansed when we commune there. Well, looking forward to seeing how it unfolds. Good going. Mark
Beautiful scenery, great filming, music and company 😊 . Looking forward to part 2! I am definitely not quite up to those types of hikes especially on my own! You would never see me again so hats off to you. I bet the feeling of accomplishment, confidence and strength you gained from doing it is something you won’t forget though. 😍 x
Very well done Claire. So glad you had such a happy time. Atta girl xxxx Music was lovely too. Have too agree that trekking poles would have helped you enormously, and made your walk more pleasurable.
Hiked and wild camped here numerous times. The Rhinogs are the wildest, roughest of the Snowdon ranges, although not a high range, are more difficult to cross without lots of scrambling. Trails are not always very evident either, also lots of wild goats roaming everywhere. A great more remote challenge makes for exciting days, enjoy.
Loved watching this. The drone shots up the Roman stairs looked really good. Great editing too. Wales has been the start of many a great adventure of mine as an adult in the mountains & sea for 30 years. It’s weather can be stunning, like you experienced or rain lots of rain.lolz. Thanks for taking us on the trail with us. Bigupwales🏴
The reality is, especially being a woman is that your are safer in the wilds of Wales than 100m from your own front door in a town or city. Well done for braving it though as it does take a bit of a nerve to go feral for a few days. I make my own MRE type daypacks for food using dehydrated food and a vacumn sealer. I copy items simialr to the army packs but in dry form. Multi day camps in the wilds you need to cut down food weight and rely on the water around you just like you did. Great video & great location.

I would suggest that some broadcasting company snap her up for presenting something. She is a natural.

Thanks for watching Paul :D day 2 kicked my ass but was totally worth it, amazing place up there ❤

It's fascinating to see how you do things differently and to realise how much more confident you are now! X
Lovely scenery, no way could I walk all that way with such a huge pack but it's great see it all from my sofa and much nicer than the rubbish on TV.

Aw thanks Paul, it blew my mind a lil bit, I'm used to the Snowdon range & Caider area but the beauty & isolation here is something else!
Oh, what an awesome adventure. As for me, I'm on the Chilterns tonight, should be a good sunset 😊👍🏕

I once found a clear, dry spot between fach and fawr! Great video, brought back memories. Cheers
It must be amazing to hike such historical places . I pray for your safety camping alone. Youre living a life most can only dream of.
