I also discovered, old cell phone charger cables have the perfect size wire to deliver power to all the cool areas! Phaser banks, torpedo launchers, and even the station's thrusters!!!!
Do you have a copy of the plans please. I bought this model brand new and fully ceiled box. But when I opened it there was no instructions. I want to build it but want the instruction to make sure it's right. Can you help please?
@@aaronschofield3616 Depends on the power source you use. The more current you need a larger capacitor. I just play around with the timer circuit till I find the right speed I want the lights to flash at.
I use the decals as a reference. The kit should come with decals of the windows. Just find a bit that is just a bit smaller than them. To know where to drill out the windows place all the window decals on the model, let dry then drill. After drilled wet wash the model to remove the left over decal remnant.

Fishing line makes great fiber optic up to 5 inches!
I used 0603 LED's as tiny warning lights on the upper pilons. ( Red) they are controlled by a "555" timer, so all six blink together.
No drilling required on this model and no fibre optics required. Minus a week of work.
That's why it's the clear edition.
Whats the color of the whole station?
What kind of drill are you using? High speed steel? Carbide? 2 flute? Single flute? What RPM?
Just a steel drill bit. You can get them at a hobby store or online. Not sure about the RPMs but have the drill about 3/4 of top speed.

Lucky for you I save all the Assembly instructions. I scanned them and just need an email to send them to you.
@@epycmodels946 wow thank you it's joshuahandley1@hotmail.com
@@epycmodels946 he were you able to send those instructions through for this ds9 model?
What did you do for the upper pilon blinking red lights?
I built a 555 timer circuit for the blinking.
@@epycmodels946 cool, me too. Did you find that a 47 microfarad electrolytic capacitor, gave the perfect timing? Kinda like a radio tower?

@@epycmodels946 yes. Thanks for responding. Good luck in your builds!
what drill do you recommend? I got a kit second hand cheap cuz the drill was gone.

What color was the primer coat? Sorry, I am not seeing where you said that.
The primer coat color is gray
@@epycmodels946 Thank you! So, chrome silver, primer grey, and camouflage green are the colors, correct? Sorry for being a pain.
@@lostgenius You not a pain. This is why I am here. To help modellers. yes those are the colors
@@epycmodels946 Perfect, thanks again!
Had a question what is the foil for?
I never used foil in the model. Not sure what you are referring too?
How do you clean up the drilled holes?
To clean the holes you wet wash. Use a fine grit sandpaper with a bit of water on it.
