You like Star Trek or model building in general? Then my channel has what you want. From the Enterprise to Battlestar Galactica, my channel entertains you on how I build these models and more. Entertainment is the key and if you happen to learn then all the better. I hope what you see will help you build your models as best you want them. Everyone has their own way of doing a build and if there is a technique I do that will help you in yours then that is great! Most of how I build the models is self taught and observing how others did their ships. So I hope my channel helps you in your build and also be entertained. Have fun and leave comments.

The Eagle (designed by Brian Johnson) is the primary form of transportation for the inhabitants of Moonbase Alpha. A multipurpose craft, it is divided into three basic sections; the command module, the service pod, and the superstructure. Capable of speeds up to 23,700 miles per second, or 15% of the speed of light, it is powered by four nuclear fusion rockets, and carries fuel reserves for 48 hours of flight. There are 5 main types of Eagle Transporter.

I'm really surprised that you didn't do the frames around the black panels on the beak.
That is one interesting model. I love a challenge so Space 1999 models are in my top 3.
Just a heads up from other builds I've seen. You might want to replace the landing gear springs with stronger ones.
What was the scale of this kit again? Same as the Oberth, by change? What happens if you give a Defiant, the secondary hull & pylons, of a Oberth?
I think it is a 537 scale. With the engines and secondary hull of an Oberth would be interesting
I think the Defiant engines are fine, but if the Oberth ones can be fuse into them... Then can the Oberth upper hull be used to fill out the underside of the Defiant? Still, it would give a nice model, I bet. I always found it a shame, after finding out they where almost the same size, in canon, that they never went with a dis-information move, thus claiming the Defiant was a new type of Oberth sub-class, a scout & science ship, not a warship. That the extra warpcore, lets her pull a Prometheus long range run...... The general long range mission capabilities, are just bonus, which in the Gamma Quadrant, could be off use. On the other hand Star Trek Voyager, but with the Defiant and a Obert (that gets wrecked or so), now that could have been fun. If only because of the odd modifications they are then forced to make, all the time. Simply because the Defiant is quite short ranged and the max warp speed, is limited. That it adds to what she can fire on the enemy (nose pod & secondary hull, second warpcore)... Can even explain what happend to the Oberth upper hull, if in Voyager it's place. 🙂
Polar Light has a Defiant kit and a Oberth & Klingon Bird Of Prey kit, both in 1:1000. Would that then be of interest?
Its looking great Ken 😊
No Tempest? Bit of a shame, there, only two of the three ME Stealth ships. Maybe another day, nea? Say, ever thought off giving the Star Trek Defiant, a Obert class it's secondary hull? They have similar sizes, but it would give some utility to the Defiant. Same with the Saber class, J-class cargoship it's cargotrain docked to the upper back tail end, via a saucer separation/docking system, there, now it's a cargo-tug/escort. As for the YT-1300 Millennium Falcon, what if you looked at the other ships in the YT line and tried to figure out how to do a heavy mod on a YT-1300? Load her up with maximum cargo carry capacity, new engine layout and so on. Now a funny, a Star Wars Consular, YV-929, YG-4210, VCX-350, do you see what they all share? Can you make a different blockade runner, with perhaps the bridge of a Arquitens 546 class cruiser fused into it??? Anyway, happy modelling & building.
Hello. It s mpc ... amd ?
Windows done woohoo 🎉 this must be a record time commission Ken 😊
Just found this video. Another amazing work of art!!!
Ty, it was a fun build
She's going to be Epic ❤
Honestly Ken is such a pro, all them years of building, attention to detail is on another level.❤
Great builds Ken. Enjoyed the video. Take care.👍👍👍👍❤️
Nice, didn't know someone was making kits of the mass effect ships.
Beautiful job
Looks great as always Ken.
Amazing! Does impulse power also light up? How much do you charge for something like this?
Yeah they light up a little. I did not want them to be over powering. A model like this would sell to a client for $1500 Canadian or about $1100 American.
@@epycmodels946 I may hit you up for something like this next year.. do you also create led “functional” tricorders ?
@@ashkrikorian5753 Yeah I believe I can do that.
Looks amazing,
Looking good!
Great job Ken! This is another fine piece of art. A fantastic job as always, thanks for sharing with us.
Buen trabajo, me encanta, ahora con tus buenos consejos haré una igual, Gracias Saludos Cordiales
She looks great Ken! Awesome work. Thank you for sharing. 👍 👍👍👍❤️
Can't see the deals. Ship is too bright.
Round 2 needs to make a updated kit for the Constitution 2 class Enterprise with new pylons. Memory alpha calls it that now thx to picard season 3
If you should ever decide to build another Excelsior Bill George loaded a photo album onto imgur of the filming model with lots of great close ups showing grid line and correct window patterns of the secondary hull.
That was awesome to watch. True artist!
Looking great. Thanks for sharing all those tips for this kit. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
👍👍
I like how you did the pylon extra supports. I used a couple brass rods, but I like your setup better.
Great idea for mounting the pylons Ken. Thank you for sharing. It's looking awesome!
Gotta like a man who still uses Testors red tube!!!
Hi. Great video. What blue did you use for the nacels? Also did you just apply it straight too the plastic?.
I used Tamya clear blue and yes I just painted it onto the plastic
Wow, tons of good tips I can use for my build. Thanks
I’ve considered using clear tape over the clear windows before installing them. My hands are pretty shaky for trying to mask them off before final paint. Then all I would have to do is cut the tape out after final painting. Any thoughts on doing them this way,
Seems to be a good way of doing it. You can also use window maker instead of the clear plastic parts. In my last build I did not use those parts. Window maker made them look a little better overall.
Hi,just wondering if you know about the 2mm thick square LED'S in different colours, instead of grinding down the round LED lights and creating all that dust/debre off them ,which isn't good for your health. 6:28
Good job using canopy glue on the fiber optics -- a lot of modelers aren't aware that CA glue will damage fiber optics.
Nice job, looking really good. I put a video on my page yesterday about how my Ardino lighting will work.
Looking really good. I can’t wait to see how it turns out in the end.
Question, can the buzzard collectors be wired separately to its own switch, that way I can enjoy the lighted model without the noise. And still have their function when wanted 18:08
They are all integrated into the circuit board but I suppose one could do that.
@@epycmodels946 how do they look without the motors running, have you seen an example of it. I like the engines but the humming would drive me crazy while watching my fav episodes of trek. It’s my first kit and not sure just how loud they really are. Can I use a 9 volt battery to test how loud they are.
You left a fleck of dry blue acrylic paint in the water
I mixed it up more
You've probably already thought of it, but where the nacelles join the secondary hull is a notoriously weak and poorly-engineered joint on this model. It's all but guaranteed to bend and eventually break over time. A lot of modelers insert a brass rod or tube into each nacelle strut and into the secondary hull, to strengthen and stabilize that joint.
I just finished my light mockup on my Arduino Nano. Pain in the neck, but I finally have the warp transition from yellow to blue working. I'll use this for the impulse crystal/deflector too. I can also tie it into the impulse engines turning off when the warp comes on. I have photons and strobe/nav lights on it too. I'm debating if I want to do the docking flood light at startup, we will see. I'm curious to see how you use the fiber optics on the flood lights. That was my biggest problem, no space. If you want my Ardino script I'd be happy to send it to you. I originally used the one from Ostrich Longneck but had to make a couple small mods to it.
Awesome update. I'll be interested to see how you will mount pylons to secondary hull. Thank you for sharing. Take care.👍👍👍👍♥️
Have you solved the problems with the nacelle pylons yet?
I didn't think anybody did this model anymore because it's so grossly inaccurate. This will be interesting!
When you clean your dremel are you using the blunt side of the exacto blade?
Sometimes when I am not looking hehehehe. I have hundreds of replacement blades so not worried about it.
Always happy to see a Enterprise build. I'm almost done with my 1:350 Refit and thats been a journey but luckly for me so far eveything is going smoothly. I hope to see this build to the end, I don't think I seen a complete build of a 537 Refit on youtube...a lot of builders quit part way through. I wish you the best in your build and will be watching till she's done.
I will be following this build. I just started building mine.
Hi pug, which one you doing 537 or 1:350? almost done with my 1:350 with all the bells and whistles...if you're doing that hit me up if you want some tips, always happy to help a fellow builder.
I'm building the 537, I'm working up to the 350. I might try the Enterprise D 1/400 new AMT 2024 kit next. With the new plastic it might be easier doing the windows with some scraping.
I have the same model you are building. Had it for years but just don't know the pro-tricks and tips to do it justice. Thanks for this video. I will be pay close attention to your work.
Its turning out great . I really need too get mine Finished
Top lights at back of nacelles are supposed to be strobes, you have them flashing with the nav lights.
I beg to differ. If you watch the movies closely you would see them blink in navigation mode at other times they are strobing and in another time they just remain on and no flashing at all. It is all a matter of preference.
