Building a flasher cirduit here:
ua-cam.com/video/oF4zrbMHJwU/v-deo.html
In an anti-time future experienced by Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the year 2370, the Enterprise had been refitted with a third warp nacelle, a cloaking device, could reach warp 13, and included additional weapons and systems. Vice Admiral William T. Riker prevented the ship's decommissioning and used it as his personal flagship circa 2395. It was destroyed in the anti-time anomaly in the Devron star system, alongside anti-time past and anti-time present versions of the Enterprise-D.

    I like cutting the groove for the nacelle wiring. Always liked the Dreadnaught class Enterprise D from "All Good Things" - cool to see you making it. When I did my Enterprise D, in the late 80's or early 90s, I ran the power for the nacelles along the leading edge of the pylons. was using single strand copper wire with a clear coat on it, and the bundle was about the thickness of the pylon, so it worked. Back then, there was no such thing as a blue LED...or a lighting kit...so I had to use green... but it worked. My dad helped with creating a circuit to make the beacons flash...and the power supply, it all worked. I had that model until about 2006 I think.

    The ring around the B/C deck is too dark. On the studio model, this band is rhe same color as the Enterprise . It's a very pale light blue grey. If you can find the photos of the disassembled model, in it's crate from where they redid it to be the USS Saratoga in deep space nine, yes that version didn't have the roll bar but the roll bar from when it was the reliant is still inside the crate and you can see all the different colors of the studio model. And you will see a lot of that duck egg blue in its proper color on a lot of the parts of the model. As there is plenty of close-ups. Even though it's renamed USS Saratoga and has a different registry number on it. But it's still the original model that was used as the reliant.

    I'm definitely not a fan of the effect on the turbo phaser cannon. But hey, I'm not the client, so.... Otherwise, thanks Ken for taking my mind off, however briefly, my recent amputation. Makes me want to go grab my AGT Enterprise by diamond select from storage and load it with batteries. Pew-pew!

    Wasn't the model made from translucent plastic so that you wouldn't need to drill holes?

    • @epycmodels946
      @epycmodels946 4 дні тому

      Yes it was but I have to paint the interior as well so you'd have to scratch out the area where the window is there also but there is no indicator as to where the windows are inside so I drill them out completely then use window maker to fill them in again. Either that find a masking set for the tiny windows and mask them but you'd have to have enough masking for the interior but then again you run into the same issue, there is no indicator where the windows are in relation to the exterior.

    Just joined your channel. Getting reayd to do the 537 Enterprise myself. I have a couple of questions as I am just now getting back into the modeling realm. 1- What do you use as your power source to check the various power lines? I see that occasionally you use a 9V battery, but when you are testing full circuits (15:17) it looks as if you have a full 12V power supply somewhere off camera. 2- What do you recommend for a soldering iron for these projects? I have a full size soldering iron, but it it too bulky and unweildy for delicate work such as this. Thank you for any help you can offer. Looking forward to watching the rest of the build.

    • @epycmodels946
      @epycmodels946 18 днів тому

      Well 1. for the full lighting test I use a 12 volt 1amp power supply. You don't really need anything more powerful than that. The main lighting I use needs a 12 volts 1amp source to work, all the other I run the main power through a 5 volt regulator that cuts down the amps to the regular LEDs so they last longer. 2. I have a Weler soldering unit and use a fine point tip to solder with. Most of my work is pretty small and need the point tip.

    What an amazing job, I'm having to buy the Tomy diecast Refit cause I have no modeling skills to speak of. The Tomy's paint work is interesting. Forget what it's called but they have like a big balloon or rubber bubble they dip in a silkscreen ink, and then they transfer the ink in that Aztec onto the surface. They do that four times in four colors one over the next. They also said they're using the same kind of paint that taxidermists use for painting fish that hang on the wall for sportsman. Still I admire one who can actually build one and make it look so good, but I'm overjoyed that Tomy is making one out of metal for people like me that will never build one. thanks for the video.

    A Voyager ship lost in another alternative universe created by The Borg.... The ship extensively damaged consisting of front section of the saucer missing(up to the upper dome) 1 engine missing the other only 50% usage possible.... In the Alt-verse there is wreckage from other ships from different timelines & Species eg sections of Birds of Pray(most common wreckage found), Romulan, Vulcan etc... The Voyager remaining crew are forced to use those wrecks and build a new ship... The ship now has 2 bird of pray front sections grafted side by side onto the front of the saucer section.... Engine`s replaced with Romulan engines... And Vulcan version of a Deflector array.... Now they are forced to fight new enemies... Help new friends.... And to find a way home...........
