Hi, just discovered your channel today. Your monitor videos are very helpful for me and funny too. Great job. I hope that you will get more subscribers in the future.
Thanks for video! The nice thing with NVIDIA graphics card can hit windows + P key to change to one main monitor for gaming. Games are super demanding on cards so can just run with one for better performance.
Hey i have. 3060 For triple monitor setup , my pc detects only two monitors at a time like two hdmi or one display and hdmi! There are 4 ports on 2x hdmi 2x display! It wont even show in show in device manger(the third monitor) Any solution?
good vid. how do i get all the resolutions the same on all 3 monitors using a laptop and docking station. i can not figure out how to get my third monitor clear. hope you're able to help! thanks.
Hey great video. I have a question maybe you could help me with. I have had a double monitor setup that worked fine. Just added a 3rd and the issue I'm having is when I'm having on the main center monitor.... Video on the side monitors are choppy and laggy. But if I mouse over to the left or right monitor and click the screen the video is fine on the left and right monitor. Like it's giving them priority over the center monitor. Then if I go back to gaming on the center monitor clicking it they two side monitors go back to be choppy laggy. Basically I'm having on the center... Watching movies on another and watching a stream on the other. I have a beast PC with a Nvidia 2080 titanium. Any help you or someone out there could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and keep up the great work
Hi Scott thanks for watching. I did a bit of research on your issue...all roads point to Chrome Hardware Acceleration. Turning off Chrome Hardware Accelerator in Chrome settings solved this issue for many people. Others suggested NVIDIA OVERLAY (LALT+Z) turn off INSTANT REPLAY. Let me know if it works or if you were able to fix it...sorry for the late reply
Hi, I wonder if you could help me as well :) Windows does not detect the 3rd screen. I have DELL 7700 AIO I5, Intel Iris Xe Graphis, Ports: 1 RJ-45 10/100/1000 1 USB 2.0 with Power on/Wake-up support 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 1 USB 3.1 with Power on/Wake-up support 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 with PowerShare 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C™ 1 Microphone/Headset Jack 1 HDMI-out (1.4) 1 HDMI-in 1 DC Power I tried to use the HDMI cables, but then I discovered one of the ports was HDMI-out. Next, I tried to use it on the 3rd screen VGA- USB C adapter, but Windows detected that as Audio input :o Then, bought a splitter, but Windows cannot detect the new screen and the 3rd screen is a duplicate of the second one. Do I have any other alternatives, or do I have to stay with 2 screens only?
thx for the video. I have window 10 laptop T490 lenovo. I have usb C hub that can connect 2 HDMI and one conventional hdmi. But sill I am not able to connect 3 monitors. When I connected only to the usb-c hub hdmi, then I can connect 2 monitors. Then when I use the laptop's conventional hdmi port it connects to the 3rd monitor but one of the first 2 monitors gets disconnected
i have 3 ports in my pc one port is vga and other port is dp port and 3 rd port is hdmi with no graphic card can i use 3 monitors or i need adapter ke sath chala sakta hu plz he me
So if I have one HDMI port in my laptop and I’d like to connect 2 monitors. An HDMI splitter will not be a solution. I apologize if this was already answered
Here is my question for you, I will be editing in Davinchi Resolve , Adobe Premiere, Capture One and Light Room with light gaming. I just ordered two Asus Proart pv279cv 27 inch monitorrs and I will order another one this week. I havecan Asus 6600xt 6 gigs of ram, 5950x and 64 gigs of ram. Will running all three monitors tax my available ram on my graphics card if my edits are in 4k. I as well as many cant find an Nvidia card anywhere and had been tempted to get a 6800xt, but I have heard if im doing productivity work it will suffer by comparison. Your thoughts????
Hi thanks for the question. You have a sick rig! I wouldn't worry about the performance suffering because of multiple monitors. It's a very good question though, I'm not sure how much of an impact it has exactly. You should test it! Try rendering or exporting a video using one monitor then do the same with multiple monitors. You can see the numbers go up/down in the Task Manager or you can download a 3rd party app.
I have 3 monitors I stream on pc and console whe u play my pc games my obs and Twitch are on the same one monitor and my pc game is on my second so you saying I neeed to connect all 3 to my pc to be able to have my game on one my obs on another and me Twitch on another screen because thata what im trying to do please help
Mine for some reason wants to 4k when i have three 1440p monitors and when i try changing it to 7680x1440 it goes haywire disconnecting and reconnecting all monitors. I gotta unplug all my monitors and reset my system to get back to stage one
I have 2 monitors connected via display port, and third one tv via 2.1 hdmi cable, when they are all powered on everything is fine, but when i turn off my TV, second monitor turn off also, and every time i have to go into nvidia control panel to enable that monitor, what is fix for this so my second monitor dont turn off?
I have 3 external monitors hooked into my docking station. When I plug my laptop into the docking station I want to not use the laptop screen and only use the 3 attached monitors, but it will only detect #1 as my laptop screen, #2 external monitor, and #3/4 together (which duplicates the screen on 3 & 4). I want to use #2, #3, and #4 separately but my laptop graphics card only supports 3 monitors. Please help.
Great question! Yes Windows will handle connecting multiple monitors with different aspect ratios. Each monitor will run its own resolution based on the aspect ratio.
Well... actually you can extend a video to watch on all monitors. You just need to use the ultrawide video extension on your browser. The resolution aint the best though
3rd monitor is detected by windows and the graphics card but won’t active.. any ideas? I’ve tried A LOT of things.. updated drivers, swapped cables, monitor works, can’t extend.. when unplugged, the other 2 display..
Whilest i didnt buy multiple monitors for a purpose, i do collect them, most rescued with minor visual glitches, but i do somethimes i buy new ones along a updated gaming computer. Currently i have 2 monitors ( LG 34UM65-P , and a older Acer predator monitor) in a Central + Right side monitor, whilest having the occasional third monitor being a Samsung TV. Alignment wise, i have the LG situated high ontop of a monitor stand, with my eyes reaching almost the top of the monitor, the Acer is almost similairly stacked-up with old books. Top of all monitors are more or less even out, with the (big) TV is situated on the Left on the same corner desk, with a South-facing slanted window at the right, Generally i tend to stick with only the LG, when focusing single task/game, but often i open up multiple tabs on the right monitor, mostly filled with media youtube/twitch/media While I do occasionaly use the samsung TV, when working out on the hometrainer, or viewing a movie in a easy chair, as a third monitor, its 'too big' to be used in conventionallu However as its also connected to 2nd older PC, stored and a SteamDeckDock, its has its potentials, mostly its the lack of content. ideally i want to have a website/program that acts as a infowall, but does not distract too often from my central-right monitor behavior, and just displaying a nice picture like a japanese onsen is kinda wastefull.
Whenever I turn on my 3rd monitor I hear the windows usb sound and the 2 other monitors flicker for few seconds. Is there a way to avoid this? I use 240hz 1440p as main, and the 2 others are 1080p 144hz.
Some online forums have suggested to go into Power and Sleep --> Additional power settings --> Change plan settings --> Change advanced power settings. (a) USB selective suspend setting. DISABLE this. (b) PCI Express Link - State Power Management OFF. Let me know if it works for you.
I have the same problem here, my main monitor is with hdmdi, my 2nd is using hmdi, but I only have 2hdmi ports in my graphics cards, I went to buy a display ports to hdmi for my 3rd screen, but then something happen when I unplug the cable and pluged back in and it doesnt work anymore, maybe the cable got fryed
and now the question arises, how to i accomplish to have separate sound for the 3 sides? so lets say, i have a laptop on one side and a pc on another, and a tv on another, and now if i turn on a video lets say, the sound is only coming from the last connected device. Sound settings didnt lead me anywhere
Did not work. My curved monitor keeps taking control or wtv like it becomes the main monitor but I have 3 and its on the right so to access my left monitor I have to go far right
MY 3RD MONITOR DOESNT SHOW AT ALL, I HAVE ONE OF THOSE HDMI ADAPTORS AND I CANT FIGURE OUT WHY IT IS NOT SHOWING IN THE DISPLAY, I PRESS DETECT AND NOTHING, I CHOSE THE RIGHT HDMI SOURCE AND NOTHING.. PLEASE HELP MAN...
I am currently using 2 monitors HDMI cord. I went to add another and plugged in the HDMI to the empty slot and no signal found. Please help! Lenovo pc is what I have. It’s the all in one system.
3:48 or just adding any crappy monitor that you find is still a second monitor, spend money on what you game on.... if the second monitor is just browser and discord who cares!
Nope, wasn’t helpful. You failed to mention how to connect them, I have a usb connector with 2 HDMI and the laptop reads one monitor but not the second monitor allowing a 3 monitor display, slow down and be more descriptive
So I've had 3 monitors like forever, and it works just fine (with additional software), but if I had no clue about any of this I'd be completely lost bacause of the speed of this presentation...Yes I know I can slow it down etc etc etc, but why the hurry when showing things that might help someone, why are supposedly, helpful items/things only shown for a split second...does that really help anyone...??? And it's mentioned here that all 3 monitors should preferably be of the same size...and then we're shown that this speed-talker of a CP in fact have different sizes in his own set-up...meaning he doesn't follow his own advice...??? My main center monitor is larger than the 2 satellites, and of course that's not an issue, the issue only arrises when brought up by weirdos on YT. So bottom line, if/when you produce instructional videos....sloooooooooowwwww doooooooown...people are presumably watching you to learn something, and very few people can learn in overdrive, and we're all tired of rewinding...heck this channel might even grow eventually...OR NOT is more likely with this approach...Cheers
For example if you have two monitors, do not connect one monitor to the video port out of the motherboard and the other monitor to the video port of the graphics card. Maker sure you connect BOTH monitors to the graphics card (leaving the video port on the motherboard unused)
How many monitors do you use?
1st comment
I swear
I use 3 but my side two are lower than my main, will that be a visual issue or should I try to line it up with the top more

for now 1
I got 3

best tech video I've ever seen, short, simple, to the point, and incredibly informative :D

Yes. You can Just turn them off by the power button on them And turn them back on whenever you need it!
