I feel like Claire is the girl who would always do extra credit in school even when she had like a 99 in the class
nah that’s chris
Well she is a Harvard graduate after all! Lol

I was the opposite of that. Extra credit but with a 0
g. Z I'd guess food science or something since she's very knowledgeable in that and even own textbooks of it
"I wasn't allowed to have sugar cereal as a kid" becomes pastry chef
I want either and now I feel I have issues with food lol. Rarely crave sweets but when I do I like physically cannot eat normal savory food.
willy wonka vibes
Paybacks a bish
My thought is that she wasn’t allowed to have a lot of store bought junk food so she got creative in the kitchen.
Lol

I think it should be in milk. It’s yummyer that way. (Ignore the fact that “yummyer” is not a word) Also my favorite cereal is “chereos”.
@@joshuawhite8837 I think it should be with an i: yummier
This is my favourite series, not even because you’re trying to make a gourmet version of candy but because you’re showing the process, the failure, the disappointment and frustration, the mood swings and the fact that sometimes it just takes a good night sleep. It feels so real and I think that’s exactly the way 2018 (online) video is supposed to be. 👌
There's peer review too which is pretty cool
Bram de Wijs mg3vlj
100% agree with this comment. Bram really brings it home on everything he says.
If anyone at BA is reading this, please keep this up. Too many videos dehumanize the process and seeing Claire throughout her days is what makes these videos amazing.
She's great, the idea is great, and the video editing is great as well

Brad: This isn't million-dollar-machines making these. It´s human beings.
Claire: It´s ONE human being.
Lucky Charms are actually made by an army of leprechauns

Brad calls his son "the boy" 🤭😂
He's gotta be such a fun and loving father
That’s what my dad calls my brother
Like kratos
*boy* come to me *boy*
Eugene Lee Yang? Because yes, me too.
claire deserves a whole spa day after each episode of these
its hilarious that Claire keeps doing this series because it seems like it frustrates the hell out of her every time LOL
She's the MVP, taking one for the team 😂
Yea but it's gotta be hella satisfying when she's successful!
Elizabeth Ashley lol or at least gets #2 on trending 😂
It's a challenge, I get frustrated as hell fixing my car but when it works again it's the best feeling and you want to do it again
Seriously I thought she was going to quit after the Cheetos 😂
I love Claire's face when she discovers she is the only person who hasn't tried a Milkbone at some point in their life.
I’ve never tasted milk bone dog treats
I've tried them , milkbone treats aren't bad , Bacon flavor was the best 🥓🦴
i died
Bruh I remember being in the 4th grade, when we had the dental bus thingy come to our school, when everyone got the little baggy of dental stuff, everyone had a mini milkbone in their bag. My whole class kept asking the teacher what they where for and she was like “you’re supposed to eat them because their apparently good for your teeth” and the whole class proceeded to eat the milkbone.
I've never tried them either lol they look gross to me!
13:35
pov: you and claire are in the test kitchen and she offers you a dehydrated marshmallow.
This comment is so underrated BHAHAHHAHA
Claire please recreate pop tarts!
Baking With Ryan YESSS OMG
Claire's gonna ignore this comment. Too easy bro
Literally thousands of recipes and videos on homemade pop tarts
Really?
Asking a pastry chef... to make a pastry?
Claire and Brad should have their own show together
If I didn’t watch these videos and randomly saw brad I could guess that he’s a contractor, lumberjack, home repair dude but never a chef 😂
He used to be, lol.
If i saw brad cooking anywhere else but in these videos. I still wouldn't believe that he's a chef.
I didn’t know he actually did food for a really long time. I thought he was just BA’s resident handyman 😅
every BA chef: never eaten a pop tart
brad leone: eaten a milkbone
Do gourmet sour patch kids!! That would be so cool!
Oh my gosh! Especially if she did watermelon ones
yesss the watermelon ones! ^^
*YESSSSS!!!*
I need to marry someone who will make me sour patch watermelon candies at home.
YES!!!!!
I love how you guys make a tutorial section even though you know very well nobody will ever even think of trying to make this
I kind of want to now, but I'm sadly under equipped and on an extremely low budget. :( :_(
I like that it shows how some things just can't be replicated at home
Rafael Silva “I tried following a bon appetite tutorial”
It’s for science
Hell if I had a dehydrator I'd make a million of my own little marshmallows right now!
11:40 "I'll give 'em to the boy" warms my heart
Me too
It makes me uncomfortable when people comment about how they "ship" two real people, especially when they're both coworkers and at least one of them is in a committed relationship. I sometimes see comments that say things along the lines of "if only Brad wasn't married," which is actually pretty horrible. He has a wife and kids.
Imagine if someone said that about your dad and his coworker/friend. It's messed up.
Edit: Someone mentioned that they weren't sure if he's married, just that he has kids. I did some quick internet-sleuthing, it seems that there's some evidence that implies he's married or at least engaged (Wikipedia, some Instagram photos, and the fact that he wears a wedding ring) but it's all circumstantial. However, I feel like the point still stands. People think that he's married and act as though it's a bad thing, just because they think that he has "chemistry" or whatever with another person. That's still messed up.
They give me bff/brother/sister vibes
Yeah and it always happen with friend that have opposite gender that's verry annoying
@@spacecabbage I think it's more that people think banter is flirting even though scientifically you have less than 50% chance of knowing when someone is flirting

Is no one gonna talk about how she nailed the marshmallows on the first try?? Even though she knew what to do, I still applaud her on that. I love watching these videos
MissLunaMoonie and like marshmallows are just the best part of lucky charms... I love it. I now know how to make a cheap big batch of them
Mollie Maguire Ikr! I wanna try to make them too. I also was concerned about how the marshmallows were gonna turn out, because she was so focused on the oats. I was like "The video's almost over and she hasn't made the marshmallows yet :/". And then she just nails them, I was so shocked! I thought she was gonna spend the most time on the marshmallows haha. Claire's a beast
I love watching a knowledgeable person attack a new problem from scratch, trying things that don't work, learning from them, etc. It's really entertaining to see the creative process happen in real time.
Brad's wacky-neighbor comic relief helps too
Agreed 100%! I could watch so many of these

I appreciate her decision to take her Lucky Charms sample as a shot.
next one HAS to be oreos
YES
If it’s Oreos keep them vegan
huma g. She said yes!
Carly Butler ....why would they do that?
Steven Hart normal Oreos are vegan!
Brad: “they kinda taste like dog treats”
Claire: “why have you tasted that”
Brad: “who hasn’t”
"skipping the hour glass" guess claire doesn't have time for that
GOURMET TOTINO'S PIZZA ROLLS! That's my number one request. I think the chewy/crispy dough would be a challenge to recreate. Other suggestions.... Pull N' Peel Cherry Twizzlers. Slim Jims. RedBull or other energy drink of choice. Candy jewelry. Pocky. Funyuns.
The interesting thing of pizza rolls and one of the other big requests (pop tarts) is that the doughs are probably pretty similar with the obvious exception of the sweet/savory divide. The pizza rolls might then be fried (or shield "baked" in the nukerowave) and the pop tarts baked. Hot pockets could follow the pizza roll model except for larger size.
Pizza rolls are basically industrialized raviolis made with pizza filling, with the lowest quality ingredients possible. They're a bit too easy.
Notmatt Stfu you uncultured slab of bacon.
Brad and Claire need a show together. They have the best chemistry.
I Know right!!! I’d love to see it happen!!!
It will happen. 2nd law of thermodynamics.
"This went so well in my head" I feel you Claire that's how I live my life
14:30 The look on her face when she realized it had to have milk. It looked like she was about to murder someone XD
"They're kinda gross" *takes another bite*
If that ain't me... lol
In the end of the day, the purpose of these videos is to entertain. I get that.
But I must say that I love the depicted work environment. Even the most blunt feedback looks sincere and constructive. Failure is recognised as what it is, a part of the process of getting there.
In the real world every complaint gets translated to one step closer to getting fired and I find indulging to your videos therapeutic. Keep making!
You make a great point. Mistakes in work environments are stressful because there is always the risk of getting fired or demoted. This is very healthy co worker and work environment. Mistakes are a positive thing because you learn and excel. When I make a mistake the stress of getting in trouble mess up all my other work until I chill out.
I watch these videos to understand technique. I find it very informative and that gives me a great base to be creative in my own cooking.
It probably helps in this case that we all enjoy watching her try and find creative solutions to unexpected hurtles. It wouldn't be nearly as fun to watch her just nail it on the first, second, or third try. Baking what she does seems unattainable if she can't. The positive environment makes incredibly fun videos. I will never cook what she makes but I enjoy watching these anyway. I'm not even sure how I got here but I'll definitely return because of the environment and personalities. That's what makes a good UA-cam channel.
Κλαψομουνιας είσαι?

i prefered this channel when she was here plz bring her back she was the only reason i liked this channel
Can we talk about how Brad calls his son “The Boy” like Homer Simpson 11:41

"I had a gerbil...it wasn't a good relationship."
U should make brad do one of these videos and every time he asks u if it is good u should be like “no. Just no. Terrible”
And she should do an It's Alive episode.
OMG YES! I always feel soo sorry for Claire everytime Brad says something mean
It's better to be honest. Claire herself, seems nice & delicious, and works hard at this. But don't lie to her.

why is Claire literally perfect

Brad and Claire's friendship is literally the most beautiful thing ever and I love it
14:24 BEST PART. She was trying so hard to convince that she didn’t need milk
Man, Claire has such natural beauty. IDK why everyone's going off crazy about the new girl. Claire is CLASSIC

Claire is just gorgeous, i'd love to just go out with her

I didn't know about this video until today, such a wonderful surprise. Also Claire being adorably happy about her flour mill is the best

''they're kind of gross'' *eats another one* xD haha we all do this!
Just like rice cakes. They're gross but delicious at the same time.
With those crazy potato chip flavors.
Once I made tiny homemade cheerios for my hamster, who was named Cheerio. She didn't eat them, but I had fun.
Oceanseeker This is my favorite UA-cam comment. Thank you for sharing. 😊
High-key wholesome 🥰

I'll see myself out.
well that hurt to read.
I’m ruined for the rest of the day
You should, with that grammar. 😅
That’s so obscure I never would’ve thought of it myself. Thank you.
This series is just a whole lot of “stick it in the dehydrater”
Ismaray Fernandez disagree. It’s alive has even more dehydration moments.
David Stanley how is that a disagreement? Both use dehydrators regularly. No one was comparing them.
razrv3lc i disagree because this series isn’t a “whole lot of ‘stick it in the dehydrator’”- even if you do need it for some of the junk food stuff because of the nature of its storage and whatever.
I think that says more about mass produced junk food than this series.
I guess "stick it in the oven on 60 celsius for a day or two" works too but who has time for that right?
Claire the whole episode: This tastes kinda gross.
gaby- “oh my goodness im about to cry”
me- gaby please give me a hug right now i swear to god i beg of you

Claire: Allow me to introduce myself
I love how they try to recreate cheap/ processed food so that they can find a new appreciation for them.
You guys need to stop with the pastry chef in the title and just say Claire. Claire is in her own league.

Agreed, this woman's built her UA-cam rapport. Time to drop the handle.
Jake Gordon YES!

Other people have said that the reason they do this is to entice people who don't watch Bon Appetit/know who Claire is. Probably the reason these trend so well.

These exist and are called TOASTER STRUDELS.
Imma need a whole video of Claire saying "Amiel" with disappointment
I am INCREDIBLY surprised that this wasn’t a 49 minute long video, they do a great way of condensing the content down to a manageable size without sacrificing any flavor
i cant imagine how patient claire has to be...good job!!
HazelPineapple i was thinking the exact same thing!!
Within 15 seconds of me attempting this I would be crying and yelling at everyone
Not only that, how can she resist not take full fist of lucky charms and just eat it, it makes no sense :D

Woohoo thanks for this video! My husband loved Lucky Charms but found out the gelatin for the marshmallows is derived from pork so had to give it up. Now that Ramadan is about to start I will make this marshmallow recipe and add them to some Cheerios as a make-shift Lucky Charms 😁
Awww that's so sweet

Aw that’s a pity! I hope they start making a halal version of Lucky Charms someday. :c
I don't know if it's halal, it's not healthier but I always thought alphabits had a similar flavor to the cereal parts of lucky charms! (I don't know if they still make them though haha)
That’s so cute
I have tried lucky charms once and i did not like them. For me its the worst cereal i have ever eaten. Its too sweet. Its ironic that i am the one saying this cause i love sweet foods and candy. But this cereal is not for me.
Brad is such a dad 😂
BA, I love this series! The food science mixed with the investigation and adjustments are so interesting. Claire is such a great host and her frustration at the challenges always pays off because she overcomes them. Please continue making series like this!

1) Pop Tarts
2) Fruit Roll-Ups
3) M&Ms (the peanut ones of course)
Jarrel Brannon Jarrel Brannon I think the Eminem one wouldn’t really be interesting because she already sort of deal with the problems of getting the hardshell on the schedule so she would just use the pastillage and just cover peanuts with a few layers of chocolate. Make A Gourmet Oreo
BeastGamerAndy my thought exactly
I feel like that'd be pretty easy. It would just be a dehydrated chocolate cookie and a powder sugar-based filling.
True but, I think it would be cool for her to put a nice twist on it and make it a lot fancier?
BeastGamerAndy Yeah, but I feel like part of the series is making snacks that she has no clue how to approach initially, like Gushers. I feel like she'd succeed on the first go with Oreos.
I don't know but if mine gets picked we will see what happens.
