This is my favourite series, not even because you’re trying to make a gourmet version of candy but because you’re showing the process, the failure, the disappointment and frustration, the mood swings and the fact that sometimes it just takes a good night sleep. It feels so real and I think that’s exactly the way 2018 (online) video is supposed to be. 👌
100% agree with this comment. Bram really brings it home on everything he says. If anyone at BA is reading this, please keep this up. Too many videos dehumanize the process and seeing Claire throughout her days is what makes these videos amazing.
I love watching a knowledgeable person attack a new problem from scratch, trying things that don't work, learning from them, etc. It's really entertaining to see the creative process happen in real time. Brad's wacky-neighbor comic relief helps too
Bruh I remember being in the 4th grade, when we had the dental bus thingy come to our school, when everyone got the little baggy of dental stuff, everyone had a mini milkbone in their bag. My whole class kept asking the teacher what they where for and she was like “you’re supposed to eat them because their apparently good for your teeth” and the whole class proceeded to eat the milkbone.
Is no one gonna talk about how she nailed the marshmallows on the first try?? Even though she knew what to do, I still applaud her on that. I love watching these videos
Mollie Maguire Ikr! I wanna try to make them too. I also was concerned about how the marshmallows were gonna turn out, because she was so focused on the oats. I was like "The video's almost over and she hasn't made the marshmallows yet :/". And then she just nails them, I was so shocked! I thought she was gonna spend the most time on the marshmallows haha. Claire's a beast
In the end of the day, the purpose of these videos is to entertain. I get that. But I must say that I love the depicted work environment. Even the most blunt feedback looks sincere and constructive. Failure is recognised as what it is, a part of the process of getting there. In the real world every complaint gets translated to one step closer to getting fired and I find indulging to your videos therapeutic. Keep making!
You make a great point. Mistakes in work environments are stressful because there is always the risk of getting fired or demoted. This is very healthy co worker and work environment. Mistakes are a positive thing because you learn and excel. When I make a mistake the stress of getting in trouble mess up all my other work until I chill out.
It probably helps in this case that we all enjoy watching her try and find creative solutions to unexpected hurtles. It wouldn't be nearly as fun to watch her just nail it on the first, second, or third try. Baking what she does seems unattainable if she can't. The positive environment makes incredibly fun videos. I will never cook what she makes but I enjoy watching these anyway. I'm not even sure how I got here but I'll definitely return because of the environment and personalities. That's what makes a good UA-cam channel.
It makes me uncomfortable when people comment about how they "ship" two real people, especially when they're both coworkers and at least one of them is in a committed relationship. I sometimes see comments that say things along the lines of "if only Brad wasn't married," which is actually pretty horrible. He has a wife and kids. Imagine if someone said that about your dad and his coworker/friend. It's messed up. Edit: Someone mentioned that they weren't sure if he's married, just that he has kids. I did some quick internet-sleuthing, it seems that there's some evidence that implies he's married or at least engaged (Wikipedia, some Instagram photos, and the fact that he wears a wedding ring) but it's all circumstantial. However, I feel like the point still stands. People think that he's married and act as though it's a bad thing, just because they think that he has "chemistry" or whatever with another person. That's still messed up.
@@spacecabbage I think it's more that people think banter is flirting even though scientifically you have less than 50% chance of knowing when someone is flirting

The interesting thing of pizza rolls and one of the other big requests (pop tarts) is that the doughs are probably pretty similar with the obvious exception of the sweet/savory divide. The pizza rolls might then be fried (or shield "baked" in the nukerowave) and the pop tarts baked. Hot pockets could follow the pizza roll model except for larger size.

While there is probably a bit of sadistic pleasure in all this (if Claire could nail the recipe in one go I doubt this series would be as popular), I think it is more the determination to work through a problem that intrigues me. And the mischievousness of the compromises she is willing to make.
They're not going to do a video on that, though, because those are genuinely easy and possible to make at home, and the whole point of this series is to make Claire suffer by attempting to replicate really industrial processed food.
cupcake liners in a muffin tray, melted chocolate, freeze the melted chocolate, add peanut butter, drown the pb in melted chocolate, freeze it & ta-da! diy reese's
+justsayneeuh It's *marginally* more complicated than that; to get the peanut butter to have the right flavor and consistency, you have to add some stuff to it. (like +Lily Davis says, powdered sugar and butter will p. much do the job).
BA, I love this series! The food science mixed with the investigation and adjustments are so interesting. Claire is such a great host and her frustration at the challenges always pays off because she overcomes them. Please continue making series like this!
I've seen every episode of this series and love them all. Please consider doing Butterfingers next. I've seen a few recipes floating around for homemade versions, but they all admit that the crucial, crispy/flaky layer effect is missing. If anyone can achieve the right crunch, it's Claire!
I am INCREDIBLY surprised that this wasn’t a 49 minute long video, they do a great way of condensing the content down to a manageable size without sacrificing any flavor
The term "low-balling" is commonly misused (as it was at 0:07). It doesn't mean to price something low (or too low). It means to quote someone a low price to get them to commit to something and, in their mind, feel that they then own the thing (such as a car). Then when they come to complete the purchase, you explain that there was an error (that, of course, wasn't your fault) and the price is actually higher. Their original support for commitment was the low price. But after they'd imagined themselves owning (whatever), those things then provide additional supports. You then roll a "low-ball" at the original support and knock it out, thereby making the sale at the higher price, one to which the buyer likely would not have agreed initially.
I'd love it if you made Girl Scouts thin mint cookies. They come out in such a limited Edition every year. maybe some people would like them year round.
I feel like that would be a bit too easy. There's not really much mystery to making a chocolate mint cookie with a chocolate coating. There's doubtless dozens of copycat recipes already out there.
Dude they sell Great Value "Fudge Mints" all year long at Walmart. Not only do they taste the same but they are only $2. I always buy a package of all their generic girl scout cookie and then bring them to work so we can have an impromptu feast! The fudge covered peanut butter cookies are to die for!
its hilarious that Claire keeps doing this series because it seems like it frustrates the hell out of her every time LOL

While there is probably a bit of sadistic pleasure in all this (if Claire could nail the recipe in one go I doubt this series would be as popular), I think it is more the determination to work through a problem that intrigues me. And the mischievousness of the compromises she is willing to make.
Yeah
Brad and Claire's friendship is literally the most beautiful thing ever and I love it
Am I the only one who wants gourmet Cinnamon Toast Crunch
YESSSSSSSSS pleeeeeaaaase
No, no you are not
I would love to see her replicate Waffle Crisps, im so upset they got discontinued
Um excuse me those are already gourmet
I would love a keto version.
Honestly this is the best series
Brad and Vinnie would disagree but it's very good.
ebonyonce it's alive is better
Tied with It's alive obviously
ebonyonce Ya
strong agree. more of these videos please.
"I had a gerbil. It wasn't a good relationship."
I didn't know about this video until today, such a wonderful surprise. Also Claire being adorably happy about her flour mill is the best
Claire, blink twice if you are being held against your will.
😂
She can't blink, she's got to make sure the chocolate tempers properly..
hopkapi hahaha
@@isabellavargas2277 you you please do let you have the same thing thing to you do that that sounds I have been been living
I would love to see you take on Doritos!
Jacob Carlson Sub to my channel and I’ll sub to yojrs
no!!! ON Takis!!!
Jacob Carlson cool ranch Doritos!!! Since she already did a cheesy snack with the cheetos
Cotton Candy Fairy good idea!
Sub to mine and I'll sub to yours mate
I would genuinely love to know how to make Reese's Peanutbutter Cups. I would even attempt to meke them myself after watching Claire.
They're not going to do a video on that, though, because those are genuinely easy and possible to make at home, and the whole point of this series is to make Claire suffer by attempting to replicate really industrial processed food.
Postfrogish it would be too simple, Reece's PB cups are just PB, butter and powdered sugar coated in chocolate
cupcake liners in a muffin tray, melted chocolate, freeze the melted chocolate, add peanut butter, drown the pb in melted chocolate, freeze it & ta-da!
If anyone can achieve the right crunch, it's Claire!
aND KIT KATS
@@ikea3035 I'm pretty sure she did Kit Kats already.
claire is always #1 on trending... LOL I LOVE ITTTTT. i want moar of these videos!!!!!!!
PrincessRiners No she isnt I never seen this person before
More*
Saiyajin Luke this series comes out once a month.... so she’s always on trending once a month
❤️
BA UA-cam team is killer, best channel on YT.
I love Claire so much lol she’s so cute and funny❤️
I am INCREDIBLY surprised that this wasn’t a 49 minute long video, they do a great way of condensing the content down to a manageable size without sacrificing any flavor
I think gourmet sour patch kids would be super cool!
Elana Mansfield THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN
Please
:/ well she already made gushers and thats like the same chewy texture but its dipped in citric acid so
holland marie They are wayyy different in texture.
Peach ring gummies.
If you made these, my life would be complete.
I don't know why? But I love all these videos.. Thank you for doing all the hard work just to keep us entertained..
The relationship between everyone in the kitchen is so cute. I love everyone at BA so much ❤️
I'd love it if you made Girl Scouts thin mint cookies. They come out in such a limited Edition every year. maybe some people would like them year round.
They are made by keebler cookies, so you can get them year round 😊😊 just under different names
I feel like that would be a bit too easy. There's not really much mystery to making a chocolate mint cookie with a chocolate coating. There's doubtless dozens of copycat recipes already out there.
thin mints are actually easy to make!! I've also made samoas....took me 8 hrs but I did it!
@@chadrific just get keebler Grasshoppers. Literally exactly tge same
Dude they sell Great Value "Fudge Mints" all year long at Walmart. Not only do they taste the same but they are only $2. I always buy a package of all their generic girl scout cookie and then bring them to work so we can have an impromptu feast! The fudge covered peanut butter cookies are to die for!
GOURMET POP TARTS !
Louella.y why do people keep asking for this? It would be a two minute video.
Yes yes yes
I was going to say the same thing!!
This is exactly what I was gonna suggest. Frosted Strawberry Pop Tarts.
14:24 BEST PART. She was trying so hard to convince that she didn’t need milk
Claire is the most patient person in the world. I would give up after the first two tries :))))))))))))))
I would give up after 1 and go eat some frosted flakes!
I like how as time goes on, there's less and less marshmallows in the big bowl of Lucky Charms 😂
Hey girl! Hope this isn't weird but you're beautiful! 😅

I know, right? I mean, I don't like Lucky Charms (HINT: Claire, do Coco Puffs next time), and I still clicked on the video.
