“Psst. Hey kid. You wanna learn how to launch some tactical nukes?”
This better become the top comment. 😂
Yes
@@holy_oreoo8594It is
Yes
Another important thing to remember is that the enemy can paint through a tri-strike, so if your planning on sneaking through it, you might be pre-fired
Yup, also useful for maintaining zone control
looking at it from overhead they threw it behind the players :(
also i had no idea that sound effect existed
Throwing one behind isn't necessarily a bad thing; cuts off escape routes and may force them forward. If they did that but then put the 2nd strike at their feet for safety, the 3rd one in the middle could have done some damage. If they'd been far enough from the opponents, throwing them all behind can also sometimes help to force them into teammates or deny an important piece of cover
I like how you can land strikes in sync to block off multiple areas
One of the best tri-strike plays I ever did, and as playing my Tri around my teammates boyah which took out the people fleeing the booya which helped us come back from behind in zones.
Thanks for this great video!
Something important to note that wasn't shown or mentioned here: the elevation of where the Strike landing beacons trigger maters, because the column of ink stops a short distance below the point of impact. If they stick too high up, then the strike will do nothing.
However putting them under areas is optimal because it denies the warning visual radius
@@rouge-ish324 Somewhat, there is still a beacon of light that extends upwards, and an outer radius of sparkles, but those are far less noticeable.
Lamp oil? Rope? *Bombs?*
the smokescreen is actually so effective
Great vid Gem, thanks! I personally love using strikes as a smoke screen and free runway to the basket on many of the clans maps. You can usually get a free score if you time it properly and are within a respectable distance to the basket. Strikes are also amazing on maps where the only way through is a narrow hallway / choke point - you can time your throws to bomb the whole ramp and clear out teams while pushing and also on reverse to clear out space on defense. Strikes are also really useful on strong back lines as the player is forced to move from their strong position. I personally find strikes very useful in a lot of situations!
Before I even watch-
SPLATOON ONE INKSTRIKE SUPERIORITY
Right, I’m back after watching.
I never really considered the importance of placement, but then again I never really use tristrike. I usually just use them to force someone off of point, or to help capture one.
Also, is it chunky? Did anyone else notice that? I swear, In the beginning when you could see from above it was chunky
I very much appreciate this as a tentatec main
I'm more comfortable with strikes than zooka rn so I play ttek with my team, this is gonna be super helpful
Something small that’s missing from this video is about learning how to get strikes where you want them to go, but perhaps that’s beyond the scope of this video. Either way, I’ll mention that if you’re in a situation like your teammate was in that clip where the geometry is super wonky, it can be useful to throw your strikes at a steep angle so as to have them land close to you, but far enough to have a higher impact. This can come with the caveat of the strikes taking a while to land, so it should be complimented with a bomb or a teammate.
Agreed. Strikes have big potential
i dont play any weapons with strike so i almost skipped this one, but im glad i didnt because i picked up range blaster recently and loved hearing the suction bomb tips!
Hey kid, do you want to lern how to call in air support?
That was very interesting and helpful! Thanks a lot :D
I often use tri strikes on enemies who are using cover so they have to leave cover. It's really helpful when you're trying to push and you're at a standstill because the opponent has high ground or homefield advantage on certain stages closer to spawn area. Also, tri strikes go off fast enough that it's hard for many enemies to paint a path ahead, so it's easier to push them into your ink with a set of tri strikes for easy assists. And you can also delay enemies in clamblitz from using the power clam or throwing clams in while the ba'sket is open by throwing tri strikes in front of the basket, one at a time, a la your tower strategy.
mmm perhapsably this will be helpful on my vslosh journey
I like to triangulate my strikes to trap players or hope they back up into the third I throw
This is why I like to 5 Star a TTek and Grind for Gold Triple Inkstrikes
tri strike is very fun to use and i want to get better at using it
How to blow up an inkrail
the sound is too low
nah i think its good😭maybe your speakers acting up idk
That was very interesting and helpful! Thanks a lot :D
