Why is Houston getting so little help? We needed linesman and cops on Tuesday, not on Friday. The state of emergency was declared but we are getting no resources until after an HPD officer is gunned down. Where is the preparation? This storm was deadly before it got to Houston.

You can't train away stupidity. There is a reason these folks wear the blue costume and it isn't an ability to add value to society like utility workers.
I'm not a fan of police for police brutality but I recognize the labor to the community, I'm glad some help is here to help us law enforcement officers have been affected by this hurricane also and they have families to take care of, some don't have power and they need to rest.
