I second this! To go to level 20 on defense with ash is crazy hard as a new player! Muscle memory kicks in and he achieves the impossible but on level 8-10 Defense. 😅 it’s much harder with 2-4x the enemies 😅
just make sure you are in solo mode and not invite only. You still cannot change your arsenal/mods mid mission though, which is a good thing I think. I dislike that the top end of Destiny often includes loadout swapping, mid encounter
You don't want to leave the game paused for too long. I left the game on paused for like 8 hours and got temp banned for "afk farming" when the game was paused

For the tip where a chat member said Corpus are resistant to Corrosive, that was certainly true before, but relatively recently there was an overhaul to how damage types work against certain factions. When you hover over a damage type in your arsenal, you'll see a pop up that explicitly tells you what factions are weak/resistant to that type - if you don't see that specific faction listed, then the damage type is neutral against them, and will work without gains or losses in damage.
ye now corpus aren't resistant to it it's just an inefficient status against them just ok to put on pets for extra status and incase those armoured units appear :P
He cant see all the faction names in there yet, Im not sure if its due to not having encountered the faction yet or if its due to the lack of Codex scans.
As someone that's been playing for 7 years, seeing the joy and excitement you have with Warframe is beyond refreshing from what I see the majority of other WF youtubers put out. The Dev team is one of the best things about warframe. They are (for the most part) in line with the community and almost always listen to their players.
just a recommendation, dont delete all your duplicate mods, save some of the shield or health ones for newer frames, if you only keep 1 of a mod and have it ranked up then you won't be able to use it on newer frames until you get more mod capacity.
Warframe has always been my winter game. I move my desk next to the window, grab a mug of coffee and play with the snow falling outside all nice and toasty. I first started playing in the winter (I don't remember the year but it was before the Operator was a thing) and now it just feels nostalgic.

Warframe DEVs are amazing, they do dev shorts and talk to people for 15-20min answering questions and telling players whats planned for the game. Then there are Dev streams which are basically same but longer and more info detailed streams for whats planned or sneak peak for next coming updates. And there are PrimeTime streams were devs play with fans and do lots of giveaways
dont forget, watching dev streams with a linked account will give you drops, and its always good, as it can range from something simple like forma, to something like a weapon, warframe or rare mods,

True, I miss the part where you were able to look at a fully animated sun, the devs at Bungie had some bad ideas, but vaulting content? That has to be their worst one.
16:22 that's the beauty in warframe. i lost count how many times, me and my friend were about to stop playing due to the long period of content drought, and then we decided to go try and make "X" frame or "Y" weapon good, only to fall in love with it. there were cases where no amount of time made them fun for me to use, but more often than not, even in those cases, the theorycrafting, and journey of leveling them, adding forma, and changing mods was really fun. and i cant count, how many of those cases i ended up loving those weapons. that's how i discovered so many cool things i had in my inventory, but didnt give a fair share at the time, like the khom, or the pyranna. and for frames, there were so many times DE reworked them, and it was a game changer, hydroid for example went from terrible and disapointing to powerhouse and incredibly fun and unique. and this brings me to my last argument, i know people love to complain about warframe and "content island", but i genuinely feel, like this is one of the best parts of the game, as you can go from one thing, like steel path, or normal star chart farming, into duviri or onslaught. or even farming more esoteric stuff like the silver grove specters(dont worry, basically special enemies that you can fight after you complete the silver grove quest). or just go trying to maximize certain factions.
Just so you know, the "tutorial" part of the game lasts for 100+ hours in this game... You'll know what I'm talking about once you get "there" .😉 Just keep playing this game, it gets A LOT better. (no spoilers) This game has some legendary status quests in all of gaming.
you should use roll more, its really quick and you can use it midair so slide, bullet jump, roll and just before you hit the floor you can start sliding to immediately bullet jump again
11 years ago it was a lot more clunky but its had the same heart, soul, and feel the entire time. Warframe is the true definition of a labor of love and devs who actually care.
2:39 Serration is still used in endgame, just not in crazy long max level runs. You would use it if you need bigger upfront damage right away . Good examples would be weapons with big updront damage already that you want to try the blast damage type on, the bigger damage the bigger boom with blast. Pretty fun
I think one of the only things you're gonna start getting bored of, is relic farming/cracking. That shit is braindead but it earns you plat via trading the pieces of primes you get.

Because I haven't watched the streams, anyone else completely confused as to how he has Ash? I don't imagine he wouldn't have put Rising Tide, or The Duviri Paradox in the video, and he shouldn't have either of those unlocked yet I believe anyway. But to my knowledge those are the only ways to acquire Ash.
Watching these videos remind me just how much content and how many systems there actually are in Warframe. It's insane it's all free, and that you've still only scratched the surface. 17:48 To be fair, there was a real dip in content from 2018 till around 2019/2020, but we're out of the pit now, and it's been great ever since. Rebecca has really been doing great as Creative Lead imo. Some of the better quests and updates we've gotten so far. It's funny because as I played both Destiny and Warframe, it seemed like their low points corresponded with the other's high points.
General leveling advice : Max out your Warframe's Aura mod as soon as you can, and then prioritize Vitality over everything else. The early starchart starts getting a tad spicy around Europa, and actually becomes a problem for new players at Saturn. More HP is automatically a better defense at that point than pretty much every other option. Second in the order of leveling would be general damage mods. So, Serration > Hornet Strike > Point Strike > Blunderbuss Steel Fiber and Redirection are great mods, but you might not need them leveled up this early into the game.
Serration is a must max. It's pure damage increase. Whoever said you don't need it on builds doesn't understand weapons builds. Some weapons are stat sticks, and thus don't need it. But the weapons that are crit, you want it. Then put a faction mod on and double dip. Also only one status, unless stat sticking. Thus you have at end game, galv multishot, galv status dmg/effect, status type 60/60, Serration(different names for secondary, shotgun, and melee, crit hit and chance, and faction mod. Also ignore meta build advice. As some people believe you have to have a certain set up.
@@aDrummerThatisBored another thing about serration is that you would want to choose it over bane mods sometimes (even with arcanes) since the dmg difference between the two are not that big, especially if you plan to use that same weapon for all content. Changing faction mods can be a pain so people just stick to serration, except if you are using DOT effects, where bane mods double dip the dmg. in general the advice the player gave mactics is alright, but doesnt take much into account
At some point, you might find yourself browsing the wiki for hours to learn about all of the different interactions, calculations, mods, status effects, abilities, and weapons. That's when the true Warframe build-crafting experience begins lmao
@@lag00n54 Yes, elemental weaknesses and resistances are now better visible and explained in game, that is a huge plus. Still, there are a lot of stuff that is invisible: is "galvanized shot/aptitude/savvy" additive or multiplicative on this weapon? Does it force any status procs, and which ones? Attack speed is not equal between melee weapon categories, but depends on stances. Then lots of details like "oh, that feature usually works like XXX, but on this weapon it works like YYY". For me, the biggest leap of faith is not being able to trust the ingame arsenal calculations as soon as you start using conditional mods or arcanes, which don't affect your arsenal numbers at all. Then there's stats like "status damage" which isn't represented at all (I think?). I'm hopeful that the devs will find some understandable way to incorporate more information into the arsenal view, so that you don't have to guess or go to Simulacrum.
So fun fact each faction has its own language that you can translate and understand stand the languages consist of corpus, geaniear orokin and the most complex and important to understand requiem which is basically the language of the eldrich gods of warframe
man i love how excited you get over the fashion frame part of the game for a video idea (eventually) you should have a fashion frame show just have some of your warframe community send in appearances! it will show your destiny side of the channel how unique some of the characters in this game can end up looking (people sometimes even make em look like characters from other shows or games)
Toxin not only goes through shields and increases status damages. And good armor bypass build is toxin and bleed with high status chance. For the cedo though you want as many statuses as possible.
The Warframe devs are some of the most involved and attentive developers of nearly any game I've ever played. They're very good at listening to community feedback and adjusting the game accordingly.

Cant wait for you to get some builds going. I'm a Destiny veteran but was using WF as my side game when content went dry. After lightfall i gave up and went full WF. Everytime you think you're done you discover something new and move your endgame goal posts out another 100yards. Now im a dojo decorator, never thought I'd enjoy that as much as i do!

Something i saw you do but your chat and the comments didnt call it out. Notice some mods have dot in the center above the upgrade dots. The mods that have this dot are equipped onto a item or frame and should not be sold or melted for endo. You melted one of these thinking it was a dupe.
Warframe is so loved and praised and yet always under appreciated. Watching new players is a constant reminder of how much amazing stuff has been poured into this love letter. DE are true innovators.
Warframe has some very impressive visuals and the customization is really wild. I'll have to keep it in mind for when I eventually leave Destiny. Hope you keep having fun, Mac.
you can turn gifts off btw. people mean well, but some stuff like frames and necramechs basicly remove content from you and often lead to streamers reaching endgame without any actual useful gear or mods. cause they just got all the key items as gifts.
Tbh as someone who has played since beta I can't wait until you get to the other frames and weapons some are just so stupidly strong its funny and they look cool (i hope you leave Excalibur soon)
That melee bug is so annoying. Only seems to happen in the open worlds though. Just die, respawn and then you're good. Very rarely does it fix itself while blocking.

Been playing Destiny since the start and this year made me finally start to play other games, Seeing you play this past the intro made me finally say time to try Warframe, The First Descendant, and a few others now looking forward to see you expand your catalog.
A little tip, the crouch key, if you press it while on air, makes your warframe do a kick. That kick, if you are coming with momentum (like from bullet jump), will boost you a bit more. Same with the roll key (shift by default), if you roll while jumping, you get extra momentum. So if you combine those things, you will move a lot faster, like really, there's a night and day difference. Just try it out on your own, test what feels better for you. Me for example, I do bullet jump, then the second jump, then a roll, then a kick and then I use the aim glide. But everyone does it differently lol I'm sure there's one way that's the most optimal movement tech, but you just have fun lol
can't wait to see you get to the railjack ... and also, have fun and enjoy, don't burn out because there's so much to do and it will be overwhelming after a while.

I'm a minmaxer, meaning I'm playing for the power fantasy aka not playing all content. Yet, after 1200h, I have most things to minmax as i want but I'm STILL finding ways to minmax my builds because of how deep the modding systems and build synergies go. It's honestly amazing
So fun to have more time in a game than a content creator I enjoy watching. Kinda refreshing. Also this game is insane in terms of build crafting especially when you compare it to d2.

You can pause the game if you are in " Solo mode" and press ESC, the game is paused for as much as you want

Just to add to this, you always cannot pause open worlds. Probably something to do with the day night cycles and the equivalent in the other places.

I started playing Warframe a few weeks ago, and it's super cool to see you getting into it as well. I always wanted to give it a try, but never really got around to it. It's insanely fun.
Because I haven't watched the streams, anyone else completely confused as to how he has Ash? I don't imagine he wouldn't have put Rising Tide, or The Duviri Paradox in the video, and he shouldn't have either of those unlocked yet I believe anyway. But to my knowledge those are the only ways to acquire Ash.

To be fair, there was a real dip in content from 2018 till around 2019/2020, but we're out of the pit now, and it's been great ever since. Rebecca has really been doing great as Creative Lead imo. Some of the better quests and updates we've gotten so far.
It's funny because as I played both Destiny and Warframe, it seemed like their low points corresponded with the other's high points.
General leveling advice : Max out your Warframe's Aura mod as soon as you can, and then prioritize Vitality over everything else. The early starchart starts getting a tad spicy around Europa, and actually becomes a problem for new players at Saturn. More HP is automatically a better defense at that point than pretty much every other option.
Second in the order of leveling would be general damage mods.
So, Serration > Hornet Strike > Point Strike > Blunderbuss
Steel Fiber and Redirection are great mods, but you might not need them leveled up this early into the game.
Serration is a must max. It's pure damage increase. Whoever said you don't need it on builds doesn't understand weapons builds. Some weapons are stat sticks, and thus don't need it. But the weapons that are crit, you want it. Then put a faction mod on and double dip. Also only one status, unless stat sticking. Thus you have at end game, galv multishot, galv status dmg/effect, status type 60/60, Serration(different names for secondary, shotgun, and melee, crit hit and chance, and faction mod.
Also ignore meta build advice. As some people believe you have to have a certain set up.

@@aDrummerThatisBored another thing about serration is that you would want to choose it over bane mods sometimes (even with arcanes) since the dmg difference between the two are not that big, especially if you plan to use that same weapon for all content. Changing faction mods can be a pain so people just stick to serration, except if you are using DOT effects, where bane mods double dip the dmg. in general the advice the player gave mactics is alright, but doesnt take much into account
vitality is good, BUT, there are certain frames that can do with minimal, if any, life mod.

At some point, you might find yourself browsing the wiki for hours to learn about all of the different interactions, calculations, mods, status effects, abilities, and weapons. That's when the true Warframe build-crafting experience begins lmao

@@lag00n54 Yes, elemental weaknesses and resistances are now better visible and explained in game, that is a huge plus. Still, there are a lot of stuff that is invisible: is "galvanized shot/aptitude/savvy" additive or multiplicative on this weapon? Does it force any status procs, and which ones? Attack speed is not equal between melee weapon categories, but depends on stances. Then lots of details like "oh, that feature usually works like XXX, but on this weapon it works like YYY".
For me, the biggest leap of faith is not being able to trust the ingame arsenal calculations as soon as you start using conditional mods or arcanes, which don't affect your arsenal numbers at all. Then there's stats like "status damage" which isn't represented at all (I think?).
I'm hopeful that the devs will find some understandable way to incorporate more information into the arsenal view, so that you don't have to guess or go to Simulacrum.
So fun fact each faction has its own language that you can translate and understand stand the languages consist of corpus, geaniear orokin and the most complex and important to understand requiem which is basically the language of the eldrich gods of warframe

man i love how excited you get over the fashion frame part of the game for a video idea (eventually) you should have a fashion frame show just have some of your warframe community send in appearances! it will show your destiny side of the channel how unique some of the characters in this game can end up looking (people sometimes even make em look like characters from other shows or games)

if you select solo mode before going into a mission you can pause the game btw
Toxin not only goes through shields and increases status damages. And good armor bypass build is toxin and bleed with high status chance. For the cedo though you want as many statuses as possible.
The Warframe devs are some of the most involved and attentive developers of nearly any game I've ever played. They're very good at listening to community feedback and adjusting the game accordingly.

Cant wait for you to get some builds going. I'm a Destiny veteran but was using WF as my side game when content went dry. After lightfall i gave up and went full WF. Everytime you think you're done you discover something new and move your endgame goal posts out another 100yards. Now im a dojo decorator, never thought I'd enjoy that as much as i do!

Something i saw you do but your chat and the comments didnt call it out. Notice some mods have dot in the center above the upgrade dots. The mods that have this dot are equipped onto a item or frame and should not be sold or melted for endo. You melted one of these thinking it was a dupe.
Warframe is so loved and praised and yet always under appreciated. Watching new players is a constant reminder of how much amazing stuff has been poured into this love letter. DE are true innovators.

you can turn gifts off btw. people mean well, but some stuff like frames and necramechs basicly remove content from you and often lead to streamers reaching endgame without any actual useful gear or mods. cause they just got all the key items as gifts.
Tbh as someone who has played since beta I can't wait until you get to the other frames and weapons some are just so stupidly strong its funny and they look cool (i hope you leave Excalibur soon)
That melee bug is so annoying. Only seems to happen in the open worlds though. Just die, respawn and then you're good. Very rarely does it fix itself while blocking.

Been playing Destiny since the start and this year made me finally start to play other games, Seeing you play this past the intro made me finally say time to try Warframe, The First Descendant, and a few others now looking forward to see you expand your catalog.
Your frame is so awesome, keep upgrading your frames, also love the Rex helmet in the back
A little tip, the crouch key, if you press it while on air, makes your warframe do a kick.
That kick, if you are coming with momentum (like from bullet jump), will boost you a bit more.
Same with the roll key (shift by default), if you roll while jumping, you get extra momentum.
So if you combine those things, you will move a lot faster, like really, there's a night and day difference.
Just try it out on your own, test what feels better for you. Me for example, I do bullet jump, then the second jump, then a roll, then a kick and then I use the aim glide.
But everyone does it differently lol
I'm sure there's one way that's the most optimal movement tech, but you just have fun lol
can't wait to see you get to the railjack ... and also, have fun and enjoy, don't burn out because there's so much to do and it will be overwhelming after a while.

I'm a minmaxer, meaning I'm playing for the power fantasy aka not playing all content. Yet, after 1200h, I have most things to minmax as i want but I'm STILL finding ways to minmax my builds because of how deep the modding systems and build synergies go. It's honestly amazing
So fun to have more time in a game than a content creator I enjoy watching. Kinda refreshing. Also this game is insane in terms of build crafting especially when you compare it to d2.
