Just want to give a HUGE thanks to those who have welcomed me to the warframe community. Over these past 2 weeks you all have been so helpful, so kind, and so enjoyable to hangout and interact with! So many of you have offered a helping hand when it comes to playing or giving advice, to offering aid to other starting players in my discord server, to some even gifting me cosmetics in game, and one player (you know who you are) dropping TWO HUNDRED GIFTED SUBS in our live stream yesterday with a simple message of “welcome to wf” Its been awesome meeting and getting to know all of you! The journey to LR4 and beyond continues here: twitch.tv/mactics
There is ANOTHER very good reason to keep 1 non-primed copy of every frame around. You'll find out more about it later - but don't go deleting non-prime frames you've finished ^^ Trust me, there will be a use for them. You have to do roughly half the main story and get down and dirty with "Son" on Deimos to make that happen... but don't sweat it until you've played a certain quest involving a Shawzin.
Tip: If you and another player get the same thing from a relic, choose another person's thing to give them bonus Void Traces. It's like an unspoken rule of good manners
@@mfwiloseintouhoubossfights9305 i mean not necesary, human behaviour is quite malicious and egotistical but in this case its about the lack of information, the game ecourages you to help others but it doesnt tell you can do that so that's why it became an unspoken rule
"What makes you want to watch my introduction into Warframe" as someone who's played it on and off since the sacrifice. I just like seeing people go through the same experiences I did, see their reactions. It's like I can relive the beginner experience vicariously through you. I also like seeing people shine light on Warframe as I feel it's always been kinda slept on in terms of the general gaming community.
Amen brother , Sometimes , i just feel like making a new account , start all over again. ( never did though as i remember i got 3k hours in warframe to get to where im at right now )
12:00 for a new players, don't be scared of 0.2% Tellurium drop rate, you need 90-100 pieces to craft every warframe and weapon that need it (~45 items in total), and usually it will be more time-consuming to get blueprints than resources to craft those items
@@BigHimmothy Or Hydroid or Nekros...I also did surprisingly well soloing with Ivara; a slower process to be sure, but if you've got to fish or hunt in open worlds she's a great choice for a more laid back run. And she trivializes spy missions, too. I got a lot of resources back in the day on the latter, picking pockets and backstabbing my way through them (also used to be a great way to farm that "school standing" Mac doesn't know about yet...then DE killed the stealth game).
@@iDEATH 🤣 I’m a much newer player, but when I needed tellurium to craft primes I used khora prime in Ophelia, with her pilfering strangledome. The amount of times I’ve seen people shoot nekros’ shadow summons is hysterical. They should just completely change the texture for them to make them more obviously dead summons so people don’t get confused.
That happens sometimes, and it's a bit of a dual-sided problem. For Nekros' Shadows, a bright energy color helps set them apart, but for other abilities it creates a lot of visual noise (read: Snowglobe) I think they added a system option to lessen other player's color intensity on your screen.
@@ephephephtbf, I reckon he just doesnt know that people have to farm relics, because he has been spoiled by his community. Whoever recommended the game to him shouldve told him to dosabke gifts for a better experience
The cosmetics are fine but the mass relic bundles is a bit iffy. Sharing relics are fine but being thrown piles of them feels weird. A way to offset it would be gifting some of the prime frames to your viewers. That way you can still play but you arent getting spoon fed relics
Aside from that its not too hard to obtain relics tbf. Void captures are good for Lith, Meso and Neo as is. Disruptions are also great, especially since you can change the rotations as needed. And you can just buy relics from factions and the mining vendors for each open world
New players are gifted relics by vets all the time and really it's just giving him more of what the game gives you anwyay. he opens them himself, builds them himself and never speeds builds. 🤷
@@elseggs6504 The issue I guess I have is that the New Player experience does include farming for things like that and I can see he is enjoying the NPE as well as wanting to give feedback on it. His NPE gets skewed by removal of any need to obtain relics. When I went to farm disruptions for relics I was in for a rude awakening the first time I found out my build did almost nothing to the disruption targets.
@@Nanoqtran Well not really skewed, its really easy to obtain relics, you can even get them indirectly just playing missions. You dont even need to play disruption at all.
Haven't seen this said yet, but here's a bit of void relic etiquette. If you get the drop you want and someone else got the same thing, pick each other's item. Picking someone else's reward gives them 5 void traces, and you get 5 if they pick yours. So if you both stay on your own nothing happens, but if you each grab each other's you both profit!
I don't want to spoil much so I'll keep this vague. Regular Warframes can be used to siphone certain things from them and instill that into another frame where as primes cannot, so you'll want to hold onto your regular frames until you get to that point in the game.
@@ValunarTonix once he gets prime frames he might do what I did back in the day (before the helmith existed) which was delete all the regulars cause why would I keep them
@@JGburneraccounti might not use my “base” frames but I dont sell them because of what I invested in them. Plus weapon/frame slots are still pretty inexpensive

I leveled my Sevagoth prime with 5 forma in less than 2 hours. so I don't know if that's something to think is time well invested.
I am so happy that Stalker actually did what he does properly for you. There's so many times when people are running co-op with somebody stronger, and the strong player just nukes him. Also, I highly recommend looking through the Abilities of the other Warframes. Even if you don't have the frame yourself, knowing what the other frames in your squad do will change how you play a mission with them.

I've been having a blast watching these as someone who recently returned to Warframe, but I do think it'd be fair to point out that this is not a typical baby Tenno experience. You were gifted a boat load of relic packs and boosters to the point I think you even pointed out in a video you have like 90 days on one or something. Without being gifted those, there is a grind to obtain those relics that was skipped, and it would have taken twice as long to farm the mats you need due to the double drop booster. Yeah, the boosters are cheap in plat, but someone just starting won't have that plat without spending real money. Just think it's fair to point out. You have a great and helpful community it seems though, so that's awesome. And the Warframe community is especially nice too!
All these "vets" defending him are so disconnected. I'm a new player, only been playing since just after Jade launched like 2 months ago. NOTHING about this guys playthrough has been relatable to the new player experience. It's fun to watch people do the quest line for the first time, but him going about this as "its as close to the new player experience as I can get" is just wrong. He needs to do a fresh start with no gifts enabled and then talk.
I agree people sending him boost and relics makes it very hard to relate to since getting 50 relics is not hard but definitely takes time when your new
Guys doing the mtashed, says it’s the new player experience and trying to bring new people into the game . Yet gets rocket boosted and carried through most of it 😂😂😂. The new player experience is helping people through missions and maybe befriending them or giving them something for free in trade . Not 20x relic packs , 50 skins and cosmetics and a carry through 7 frames . That’s not the new player experience and you’re not even playing the content . You’re using them like a leech . In your first episode you said u didn’t want to be one 😂😂 the irony . I love warframe and new players but this is just sad .
Awesome series and great content. Do have to say the "new player experience" is not what is happening though. I myself watched several of your videos while sitting in trade chat for at least 2-3 hours trying to get 20 plat for a warframe slot from trading prime parts, its rough out here for new players who don't want to spend money and I feel like there is def a skewed perspective from him after being gifted SO many slots/relic packs and resource/afinity boosters.
Use warframe market pls, so you can just post your wares and continue farming prime parts, just hop in a dojo and sell the things when they pm you, about 300 of my 800hrs must have been waiting before someone told me that
i think the only thing most people have an issue with is trying to showcase this as the typical new player experience, because it isnt. new players will be pressed for warframe/weapon slots and will have to farm for relics. it makes complete sense in terms of content creation to skip these more tedious grinds so you can show off the more fun stuff, but trying to say that this is how a new players experience will be is just disingenuous
The average new player will not only have the issue with warframe slots, but find that most of their relic openings are used to finance their MR via Warframe slots and weapon slots. Using those warframe slots and weapon slots to increase MR and get more trades. Using relic parts to sell weapon/warframe parts for platinum and the cycle repeats. Mactics will never have to choose between the idea of collecting a prime warframe from the foundry, or leaving it there because a normal quest warframe (that has its own unique value, and shouldn't be discarded carelessly) takes priority until you can afford another warframe slot. The average warframe new player experience will involve selling Prime Warframe parts and sets (~30 to 100 plat dependant on warframe) and Using the plat to supplement their trading economy. There will be a grind of various type, whether that is relic grinding Or Kubrow/Kavat breeding and selling them for Plat. Honestly, being given as much has he has been has completely turned him away from engaging with the market that allows trading (even for premium currency). The new player MUST engage with this as a concept, or otherwise spend real money.
Regardless of what your community discord has experienced Mactics, receiving 10 relic packs after just starting is not representative of many players’ experience. Edit: I’m a D2 & WF vet who’s watched every WF stream you’ve made. The purpose of this comment is not to “hate on” the way you play WF (happy you’re making content for it & promoting it). Rather, I merely wanted to express a bit of constructive criticism as a subscriber. I enjoy watching you make content for the game. The fewer gifts you receive that reduce the game’s grind, the more my overall enjoyment of that content improves. Others who watch may feel differently, but it seems more than a few share this opinion. Hoping you receive it in the constructive spirit in which it is intended.
Yep, I'm losing interest watching because he's getting hard carried so much. His last video saying he got the frame all by him self made me laugh though. I don't think he knows how to farm relics.

I don't think warframe is in the shadow of Destiny at all, some players mix and match playing the two but warframe is very much its own separate thing, it's kept a 40k monthly player population on steam for 90% of the past 11 years
Yeah I agree pretty much most of destiny is a much higher budget version of warframe with more predatory microtransactions, but the starchart is something anyone could come up with.
Warframe was never in D2's shadow. From a perspective of somebody who never played Destiny, Destiny is the one in Warframe Shadows cause they're 1000000 times worse cause of the predatory microtransactions.
As a new player who enjoyed watching Mactics play D2 and seeing him go to warframe, kinda starting the same time he is. His experience is completely different ONLY because he's a streamer. We played this game for a decade, we genuinely love watching you react to a game we saw grow. We love watching new peoples views and interests in the game and watch them experience the amazing game we love
The Devs used to take over the Stalker and have him appear in safe-zone during community events. I think there was one time where they also gave control of him to content creators and let them invade players missions.
Back in 2013, there was a running joke with DE that the stalker didnt exist, so every time he was brought up they only replied with "What stalker?". Later they released the stalker weapon pack called "What stalker" as a running joke. I remember queueing into a match and getting matched up with DE Rebecca and we got invaded by the stalker. So were all like cant deny it now, what stalker huh? all she replied with was "What stalker?" as we were killing it. It was one of the main experiences with the DE teams that made me really fall in love with them.
Just a reminder, you don't need to open a cabbage to gain void traces, but veteran players have stacks of "throwaway" cabbage they use to help lower ranks.
This isn’t the new player experience this is the new to the game streamer experience. You are being gifted everything you need to not struggle like real new players, such as warframe and weapon slots, reactors and catalysts, like 100 relic packs and hecking 1000 plat. Hey Mactics! Absolutely loving the Warframe series so far. I've been both a Destiny and a Warframe player and am slowly getting back in the groove with Warframe now (not related to any events with Destiny or Warframe, I just recently got disappointed by an expansion dropping in another game and am now relapsing to my true and tested time consumers). I honestly can't thank you enough for this series, it is super fun to watch and your personality harmonizes with the game in such a captivating manner, I'm actually waking up every day hoping for a new Mactics video in my inbox at the moment! I haven't been excited for a video game series in a while, so this is exhilirating! Since you asked some questions in this video, I felt I might partake in the youtube comment section for once myself to answer them from my standpoint! Regarding the question @2:33 in the video (the "why are people so interested in my new player experience" question): It is genuinely fun to see someone else go through something you've already been through and seeing how they handle/enjoy it. For me, it is mostly curiosity with a hint of validation. Like, I wanna see if you enjoy the parts of the game I enjoyed, but not just because I am curious, but also to - in some way - validate that the enjoyment I got wasn't just a "me" thing and that others can enjoy it just as much. Also, I have been playing Warframe on and off for about 10 years (maybe more, can't remember when the game first came to steam) and as such I have not always been there for content releases and story additions. So I very much played the game in batches and never got to really experience a "new player to veteran player" road, which is the path you're seemingly going down. So it's actually an entirely different experience than I had (ignoring the fact that when I was new to the game, the game was completely different) which makes it all the more interesting! Of course, I could experience the "new player experience" by making a new account and playing it myself, but I already know too much about the game for it to feel even remotely new to me - plus, I know what's down each road. That aside, you also asked about sidetracking and at least for me that is a huge thing in this game. I've had to make so many google spreadsheets for what I wanna farm, what resets when and which currency I best spend on which thing first to try and progress... it's been fun, definitely exhausting at times, but fun. Coming from a 2 year break to see all the new content and wanting to dive head first into all of it at the same time results in peak ADHD gameplay. Also, since you've said multiple times that you can't really find anything bad with the game - I thought I'd use this comment to share my personal "bad thing" about this game (to perhaps create perspective, as you've also already talked about how you feel about completing missions with other players or getting carried/helped): I mostly play alone, since I always feel like I'd only drag other players down or end up getting carried - which isn't the most exciting thing to do in a multiplayer game... but I guess I just really struggle with some sort of internet pseudo-anxiety. I like pulling my weight, but when one person can wield the power of multiple universes in their Warframe, then often times there isn't anything left to do for the other 3 people in the team, other than to feel useless and carried. That's definitely my main "downside" of the game thus far: Feeling like I have to avoid multiplayer because there's always the potential I run into one of those really cracked guys that just do everything before I can do anything to help. I'm sad I can't make it to your streams (or most peoples' streams, really) but I hope you keep enjoying it for your sake (and also a little bit for my sake, this series is really a blessing) and don't burnout from the grind. The game has a very grindy nature, but perhaps streaming or content creation in general can alleviate a lot of the mundane aspects of the game.
If any game can having comment like this then you know it's worth it, and true most of time I avoid to play it with public even with hardest content and open relics. (Connection problem, can be paused, can play at your own pace, many upside and still downside)

The most his chat ever gives him in terms of gameplay is relic packs. He specifically asks for no frames or weapons, and when he does get gifted them, he specifically avoids using them
I'm more okay with this than gifting weapons, frames, etc. if I'm being honest. He still has to play the game, spend the resources, and give a good insight on what the grind for things is. If he was being gifted packs on packs of weapons, frames, bundles, etc. it'd give a poor perspective on gameplay.
@@BoberTee True, and wouldn't be as fun to watch if he'd had to grind a lot more for specific relics, formas, potatoes etc. But as a new player it is way slower to get the primes you want, to get formas and potatoes. So definitely NOT the new player experience
@@samuelmagnan6424 Yeah hope he realizes that this is not the new player experience and appreciate how lucky hes been getting relics etc for free from people
if you want this to aim towards introducing newer players i beg you stop people from gifting stuff like this, like cosmetics is completely fine, but this kind of thing is just not going to happen for a newer player.
@@JoshTwistYT Ignoring your moronic sentiment, I have to ask, who are you talking to? Because receiving gifts being bad or not has NOTHING to do with what I said.
@@JoshTwistYTWhen was the last time you created a new account? Because I’m 100hr+ in and am completely dry on relics every day. It’s obvious y’all vets have zero memory of what this grind was like.
mactics, i am mr29, trust me, go get sidetracked and do what you want, all you gotta do is have fun with the game, that's the most important part (p.s, you can recolor your ship interior too, if that's your style)
This game is one my longest played and favorite games. I will never put this game down fully. Watching your journey on here and on stream has been a joy and I’m loving every second of it. Keep at it!
2:38. ngl the seriase has been really intriguing when you were exploring and experimenting for yourself in the game. figuring stuff out with the help of chat but still going through the same experience we all have been through. The gifts were fine when it was just drones and stuff but things like full relic packs is just p2w. i dont like the boosters either its just unrelatable. like imagine if you logged into d2 and had a raid exotic for no work. or you got hard carried through a GM without even doing anything. its just kinda lame and uninteresting.
Personally for me, I am enjoying the hell out of this series as I am pretty much the same as you. I'm a 3k hour destiny player. I had a friend who know practically everything, who would help me with resource gathering, learning mechanics, helping me run relics and farm for warframes, like how your chat is helping you. I am just getting into the late game and still loving the game every day. I'm not only learning little things I missed from the great people helping you out, I think its very entertaining watching you go through a similar experience I did, not to mention how positive and willing to learn you are. A big part of it is you being a great content creator. Just thought I'd share since I've been following since the first episode and lurked in the twitch a bit. Keep up the good content!
Imma be honest I dont really enjoy this anymore. Pretty much every warframe streamer made a name for themselfs by playing on their own and you have life time boosters of every kind, free relics, your viewers pick same relics as you so its guranteed you get the prime parts you want, comsetics, DE support. Like this is nowhere near new player experience why would you accept all those things then be like "oh im gonna farm tellurium with my permanent resource booster and a viewer nekros farming it for me, look guys! Im just like you this was really hard!" like bruh... And the most important part, trading. Trading is literally the essence of getting platinum in this game. You need plat for potatoes, slots, prime parts that are vaulted...and you get it from trading. Trading is pretty much top 5 most important things as a new player and you are completely ignoring that since all those things are just unlocked for you. This is becoming like watching someone saying "Gta San Andreas full gameplay" then uses cheats for every mission.
He's not wrong tho, it's cool and all that Mac is enjoying himself, good for him, but calling this a new player experience really is a far stretch lol this is the new content creator experience.
@@givenchyy. He's allowed to have fun any way he wishes. I have no problem with him playing this way, I wish I could play this way. The problem is that he's misrepresenting what he's doing to his audience.
I love how far you´ve come. I watched all your Warframe videos and I must say, I cant even remember how I started it. It's really fun seeing you get into Warframe
I absolutely love seeing these videos, but i will have to say that you have it a WHOLE load easier than most players w all these gifts you're getting + chat members w all the relics you need. And on top of that you're having to essentially get half of the materials in half the time because of your resource boosters. Other than that, it's still really cool seeing another new player's experience lmao
I don't enjoy watching this guy anymore. You went from going "I don't want help" to accepting slots and potatoes and boosters. The new player experience is so much slower. This isn't a slight on you, but I watched you for the new player experience, not for the "I'm a streamer who gets big jump gifts" vibe.
@@guy5731 I can't go back to find it cuz this clown has his VODs locked behind being a sub lmao. Best bet to find your laugh elsewhere and just forget about this idiot.
Some of us have been playing for over a decade. The community is large, but plateaued awhile back. So we love seeing new players come in and really enjoy it. Makes it feel like sticking around was worthwhile.
With the relic packs don't worry if you don't have the relic with the item you want in it, because one of the 3 others you play with might - so I just always open any relic and don't pay attention to whats in it. Also he's a streamer and they always get given stuff, the best thing out of it is people watching get to see more content. But the best content will be doing the main quests. Edit - also getting items means nothing really, I got my first prime after like 200 hours but my friend started the game and bought like 2 himself. You can do what you want
When Gauss Prine came out, I remember seeing in the trailer that he could outrun his own bullet. With enough ability strength, you can do that in game, and it's awesome
Okay your journey was fun until now but I'm out. You got absolutely BLASTED with relic packs, more than a couple hundred bucks worth, and normally you have do do a mission for a SINGLE relic. So you can imagine just how much game and grind you just instantly skipped. I lost all interest in watching these videos. Watching you learn about the game was fun, watching a dude getting spammed with loot and carried hard isn't fun at all though. You really should have kept the gifts cosmetic only. You're no longer a F2P player. You're P2W now.
Absolutely agreed. Im outa here as well. Permanent boosters for life, perma slots, perma relics, perma plat. letting his viewers come to missions so they choose the same relics so he has guranteed prime parts he wants. He literally didnt even trade, once. Trading one of most important things in game just skipped it completely since everything is unlocked. And part that pisses me off he does the absolute bare minimum like "guys im gonna go farm 2 tellarium by myself" like that changes anything. Congrats bro u farmed a resource by urself so you can build entiere prime sets given to you by ur viewe- oh....wait....he cant even farm 2 tellarium because hes again playing with veiwers that choose nekros and get it for him. Lovely lmao. Im outa here.
I really want to keep watching this series because it’s so hard to find someone who’s actually playing warframe for the first time now, so many people do playthroughs, but it’s their 2nd or 3rd. I’m excited to see you learn all the mechanics and start trying build crafting, but mostly excited to see your reaction to the story which is in my opinion and many other’s, one of the best stories in gaming.
ah yes stalker, when you finally pass the point of wanting to always avoid to wanting to hunt him, much easier to achieve compared to before...then you DREAD the drop chance and start to HATE him for the DESPAIR he gives you, all just to be BROKEN and go to WAR. i wonder how far someone has to be in the game to get what i did here.
The new player perspective is one that holds interest because it's a perspective we veteran players can't really see firsthand. My early game experience as a founder was dramatically different to your initial time spent playing, and a lot of content targeted at onboarding new players was added at the point when I was already MR20 or higher. Even compared to just a few years ago, the initial warframe experience had changed a lot. Moreso than just that, it's nice to see that experience explored and articulated on in a candid and genuine manner. Refusing to use weapons and gear gifted to you, in particular, and instead only using what you farmed and earned, made that perspective a lot more genuine. Keep on truckin' my guy. Glad to have you in Space Ninja Club.
I'm not hating but seriously you are fucking getting hard carried by the community being showered by gifts. Nobody does that to a non-streamer. You are playing Warframe "Premium" I am already seeing comments from people you roped into playing and them saying that their experience is totally different from yours. Also look at ALL those relics you have. Fuck, when I was new it took me months to get the amount you have and people just kept giving you relic packs. I have a clan mate that returned a few months ago and that guy plays every day and still ran out of Axi Relics when we were grinding for Sevagoth Prime and cracking trash relics for void traces on an Axi fissure.
2:40 Well its incredibly entertaining to watch, its just amazing videos! Also i personally love watching new tennos get into the game. The feeling you first get when starting the game you never gonna get again in the same way in the late game... watching other people discover all those amazing things and great feeling about it brings some of that back :D Also its probably interesting for new players, or people that thought about getting into it. Another thing is - I know you said you don't want to make entertainment oriented videos in your video about your future with destiny but honestly... those kinda are they are just very fun and entertaining to watch. Well made videos meant to be enjoyed to their fullest. I found that is something the Warframe Creator space is lacking alot. Most of Warframe content around is just builds and guides. Barely videos that a just meant for entertainment. Sure i'd love to see some guide videos come out by you in the future and i'm looking forward to the point where they do! But i would also love for just your "playthrough" series to continue It also brings new players to the game and gets even the attention of people who maybe don't even know the game... cuz lets be hones: Whos gonna watch an overcomplicated guide video of how to get a crazy red crit Mesa build that requires 7 other things to work in a game they never played and thing "This looks cool i want to play this". Thats not gonna happen. If someone sees something like "I FINALLY Tried Warframe… It Is Incredible" then they might click it and then they see what its like to start the game out and how much fun you had in the process. this is wayyyyyy to much text so i'm gonna end my yapping here xD maybe i'll find opporutnity to share my other thoughts on another video ahahahaha
Does the community really support people? Cause I've tried to start Warframe about 4 times over the past 6ish years and been utterly overwhelmed with seemingly no support. (editing just to show a response. I am definitely not asking for handouts, just my experience with the community is to be called slurs when I tried to ask for advice the last time I played, so seeing this on Mactics is very different.)
Warframe community dose love to help but they want you to learn but yourself to a certain point which is how my friends taught me and it helped a lot because you understand it down the line
The reason I like to see new players take to frame is many reasons. To see that first time joygasm. To witness when it all clicks with movement and mods. Fun watching the community surprise folks. I adore that you fell into the story much sooner than others. It puts the idea that Warframe is hard at start is wrong, it just one system that badly explained really. Lastly, it interesting to see your perspective coming from Destiny 2. I used to play and it was always a let down for me personally. I been in frame a while so it massively different from what it was years ago, so happy to see another fall into such a fun game. As for which frame next, I still have a soft spot for Vauban. The trapper is fun.
Regarding warframe being the best possible ADHD experience; I think you're absolutely right - basically whatever you're doing in the game, you're still progressing SOMETHING, so you're never wasting time pretty much Also I think you should start with Gauss, his kit flows really well together and it's just fun being that fast
People talking about “the game throws relics at you anyways” are spewing just blatant cope 💀 like are you actually dumb? Ya relics aren’t necessarily hard to get, but farming the relics you need for a specific part then getting together 3 other players to RAD farm is the new player experience, not 50 relic packs from hundreds of people whenever you need them. You’re actually an idiot if you think this is anywhere near representative of the new player experience. But the series is still very entertaining and besides that bullshit, it’s still a very good series for new players to watch.
Nothing quite like watching people claim that forgetting that relic packs are 20,000 standing in most (all?) Syndicates, which requires levelling them up at least once (9000) and if you spend 20k, you can't level them the second time immediately (22000). As a low MR player, the amount of standing you get is also very low on a daily basis, which means assuming you're MR10, you get 16,000+(MR*500), so he gets 21000 standing a day (just over a SINGLE relic pack, by grinding that particular syndicate to max cap, every day). Yup, no skipping the grind here. Now, if they mean singular relics more generally, yes they have more of a point, but singular relics are in no way 'targetted' (not all Radiant Gauss for instance) and require farming specific missions over and over (often at 5 min intervals) for the drop chance, so you're looking at a relic every 5 minutes. Quite different to 10's of relics gifted for free at no cost.
glad youre enjoying warframe so much! your build guides in D2 really helped me w some of the challenging content in the game and now youre picking up my favorite game OAT, cant wait to see more of it :)
It is a struggle watching how much of the grind you don’t even realize exists because of your community sending you gifts. Your current account progress has already far outpaced any new players you may have inspired to try Warframe around the same time you started (I’m one of them). I worry that when you start creating content making recommendations for builds and strategies that you’ll simply have a warped mental model of what’s achievable for early/mid-game players because your gifts (not “streamer luck”) have basically allowed you to skip that entire segment of the Warframe lifecycle. I say this as a long-time watcher and fan of your D2 content.
@@MEYH3M You say “eventually” but that’s the point. I’m a ~100hr new player NOW. I have entirely run out of relics to open NOW. I have only 3 frames total and no primes NOW. “Eventually” means nothing to me other than you nor Mactics can relate to what new players actually go through today.
When I watch these videos about Warframe, my main take away is that I need to be a successful twitch streamer in order to make decent progression in the game. When I played Warframe, I spent a month to get a quarter of the progress you have made in a fraction of the time. I really love your content and I know I'm sounding like a hater but the game gets easy when people send you shit.
as a long time player for warframe i always love watching newer players journey and how they progress and see them actually enjoying the game its honestly a real nice vibe so i hope u keep the grind up brother 👍
These episodes go by in a blink, so satisfying to watch. Please keep uploading them till you're at least caught up with the main story. Crafting and grinding tangents are equally fun.
Yep, there's a vengeance hit-squad mechanic (like the Darkmoons in Darksouls), targeting a boss, angering a syndicate, or siding with one side when the NPC factions are fighting, will cause them to take a hit out on you. Plus side, dispatching the assassins can give you exclusive loot.
The feeling of actual nervous panic from your first stalker encounter is something that DE has done so well. Not sure if you've gone through the one horror themed quest 'chains of harrow' but it's one of the best crafted early quests.
I don't think he's done any more quests since Stolen Dreams. Seems to me he's been grinding to gear up, rather than diving into the story quests. Which is fine. Those can be more fun with fancier gear.
The main fun of watching new people play is for the vicarious experience, especially for a game we love so much. It's fun to watch you try out each warframe and see the diversity of abilities and weapons available to each player and to experience the story the game offers. On top of that the new player experience has gone under TONS of changes, so seeing a new refined playthrough is always fun.
at this point i just want to see his mind blown when he reaches the second dream quest. After 7 years playing warframe it's always so satisfying watching new players get there
Damn, I'm starting to get a little bit jealous of your gifts, lol. I joined warframe in 2019, with the release of Wisp, a friend showed me a clip of... uh... her... "assets" and I was instantly hooked, however, I couldnt play with said friend because he forgot to tell me he was on Xbox and I started on PC, he eventually quit(before the cross platform update) so, I've been mostly alone, both clans that I joined, were of IRL friends, and both of them quit WF a week after I joined them. Now, seeing your journey as a new Tenno is quite refreshing to this Almost Mr30 "vet", the wonder and surprise you have when discovering new things is something I'd wish I could get again, seeing the stalker for the first time, playing some quests again for the first time, etc. this is my reason to "What makes you want to watch my introduction into Warframe"
Why we watch your Warframe UA-cam series? 08:00 < This. We get to experience being newbie "again" as most of us has thousands upon thousands hours in it and over all you are a funny young man so it's pleasant.
To answer your question at 2:33, it's interesting to see new players experience their first playthrough of Warframe. To see someone who originally played tons of Destiny to try out Warframe and enjoy themselves with little to no complaints on the game itself is wonderful to hear and witness personally.. I think that's where a lot of us find intriguing.
Theres a lot of comments saying the same thing i am and while yes you are new youre getting heavily boosted. Im around MR17 at the moment which isnt crazy high but the amount of relic pack gifts and boosters you got handed is such an insane boost. I rushed my first primed frame and got it at MR4 but come on. Im not trying to hate but theres a difference between grinding to get to apollo on lua and doung a ton of disruption missions for the frame yoy want and literally having hundreds (not an exaggeration) of relics just gifted. I saw another comment that said you have 10+ primed frames and sevagoth prime which came out like 3 days ago and im just thinking 🤨🤨🤨 how is it that youve got more warframes and frames than i have with like 1/16th of my playtime. I saw that you replied to a comment saying that high ranked players give lower people boosters and thats true in the form of blessings in relays which last around 3 hours but months? Thats just wild
Love the video ! Getting up in level in warframe is a bit rough for sure, but the community you have is amazing !!! Can't wait to watch you get to MR 30 and beyond !!! Warframe is such a fun game and easy to pickup and play, definitely is one of those games that are hidden in the shadows
I personally like how fast he is progressing. It shows off the game. What i dont like is the boasting of "ill be lr4 in a yr and be a better player". Lvling gifted items contributes to MR. He will reach lr4 months ahead of time. Its like getting trials carried and then saying im the best at pvp. Or raid carried and bragging about your exotic. For new players, vets do help. Vets wont spoil story beats. Vets arent gonna gift you the game away on easy street. Ask in general or recruiting chat if you have questions or need hrlp.
Not tryna hate but he’s experiencing basically none of the grind of the game or in game trading that 99% of players do, from the sheer amount of stuff he’s given…
2:50 Honestly, the warframe community, especially vets, just love watching people playing and being excited about warframe. That and watching streamers playing for the first time feels somewhere between showing and helping a friend through a game you love for the first time.
Just want to give a HUGE thanks to those who have welcomed me to the warframe community. Over these past 2 weeks you all have been so helpful, so kind, and so enjoyable to hangout and interact with!
So many of you have offered a helping hand when it comes to playing or giving advice, to offering aid to other starting players in my discord server, to some even gifting me cosmetics in game, and one player (you know who you are) dropping TWO HUNDRED GIFTED SUBS in our live stream yesterday with a simple message of “welcome to wf”

There is ANOTHER very good reason to keep 1 non-primed copy of every frame around. You'll find out more about it later - but don't go deleting non-prime frames you've finished ^^ Trust me, there will be a use for them. Been playing since 2017 and I still feckin do it :D
I want them to do what they do for invisibility frames. Have a toggle for them to be almost completely see through.
I'm shooting them even when I am the one summoned them, it's just reflexes to fire on every enemy
That is why I made my energy color purple on Nekros so that you can easily tell when you raise the enemies.
That happens sometimes, and it's a bit of a dual-sided problem. For Nekros' Shadows, a bright energy color helps set them apart, but for other abilities it creates a lot of visual noise (read: Snowglobe)

There will be a grind of various type, whether that is relic grinding
Or Kubrow/Kavat breeding and selling them for Plat.

I don't think warframe is in the shadow of Destiny at all, some players mix and match playing the two but warframe is very much its own separate thing, it's kept a 40k monthly player population on steam for 90% of the past 11 years
LOL a lot of Bungies ideas came from Warframe. Just look at the star chart for starters.
Literally 20 seconds into the video, saw him get gifted 10x relic packs? Immediately clicked off the video.....
It's crazy since he said he wouldnt be taking any help and then got 50 relics which isnt hard if your an older player but new guys cant really get that much as fast
yeah its slightly irritated me, took me years to get where i am now in the game cause I had to get everything myself without paying. he's just being showered with everything he needs and for one it takes away his new player experience, and also gives newer players a false image of the game due to how easy it is for him.
I think it was plains or in fortuna where Steve sniped someone with Dread. It was more than 50m too
Back in 2013, there was a running joke with DE that the stalker didnt exist, so every time he was brought up they only replied with "What stalker?".

Regarding the question @2:33 in the video (the "why are people so interested in my new player experience" question):
It is genuinely fun to see someone else go through something you've already been through and seeing how they handle/enjoy it.
Also, since you've said multiple times that you can't really find anything bad with the game - I thought I'd use this comment to share my personal "bad thing" about this game (to perhaps create perspective, as you've also already talked about how you feel about completing missions with other players or getting carried/helped):
I mostly play alone, since I always feel like I'd only drag other players down or end up getting carried - which isn't the most exciting thing to do in a multiplayer game... but I guess I just really struggle with some sort of internet pseudo-anxiety.

2:38. ngl the seriase has been really intriguing when you were exploring and experimenting for yourself in the game. figuring stuff out with the help of chat but still going through the same experience we all have been through.
The gifts were fine when it was just drones and stuff but things like full relic packs is just p2w. i dont like the boosters either its just unrelatable. like imagine if you logged into d2 and had a raid exotic for no work. or you got hard carried through a GM without even doing anything. its just kinda lame and uninteresting.
legit, he totally has the option to just not open any but he secretly loves the free stuff and getting hard carried. greedy asl
He’s having fun on the game if people want to help him they can, stop crying it’s a game bro - an MR 25+ Vet
@@givenchyy.No one cares what you think. This shit is not motivating to new players. Sincerely, a new warframe player MR 8.
The problem is that he's misrepresenting what he's doing to his audience.
no you dont understand!! he doesnt want to NOT open the gifts because, "it feels mean.."
I love how far you´ve come. I watched all your Warframe videos and I must say, I cant even remember how I started it. It's really fun seeing you get into Warframe
my ass opened close to 50 relics trying to get gauss
Edit: the streamer luck is fucking real
I absolutely love seeing these videos, but i will have to say that you have it a WHOLE load easier than most players w all these gifts you're getting + chat members w all the relics you need. And on top of that you're having to essentially get half of the materials in half the time because of your resource boosters. Other than that, it's still really cool seeing another new player's experience lmao
I don't enjoy watching this guy anymore. You went from going "I don't want help" to accepting slots and potatoes and boosters. The new player experience is so much slower. This isn't a slight on you, but I watched you for the new player experience, not for the "I'm a streamer who gets big jump gifts" vibe.
watching him now is just like wtf is this like a clown show.
And then had a hissy fit on stream about these comments calling him out. He needs a reality check
@@CosmicZingadamn I really was hoping he was t going to take the criticism that way that's a shame
@@CosmicZinga does he actually get upset?? any clips or specific things he said? looking for a laugh
I haven't played Warframe since 2019, since he's started his journey I've been playing along. Haven't put the game down since he's started.
just spent 2 hours running missions to find tellurium, show up the the vid and this guy gets 12 in one run.
Cant lie I wish I had some warframe sugar daddies xD
With the relic packs don't worry if you don't have the relic with the item you want in it, because one of the 3 others you play with might - so I just always open any relic and don't pay attention to whats in it. Also he's a streamer and they always get given stuff, the best thing out of it is people watching get to see more content. But the best content will be doing the main quests.
Edit - also getting items means nothing really, I got my first prime after like 200 hours but my friend started the game and bought like 2 himself. You can do what you want
"That was so creepy"
*Me, laughing in rap, tap, tap, RAP, TAP, TAP*
@@K_Petar pisses me off how he tries to defend it too. admit youre getting hard carried with an army of viewers willing to do anything for you
I really want to keep watching this series because it’s so hard to find someone who’s actually playing warframe for the first time now, so many people do playthroughs, but it’s their 2nd or 3rd.
Ik what u did there lol
Glad to have you in Space Ninja Club.
yeah... earned...
The feeling you first get when starting the game you never gonna get again in the same way in the late game... watching other people discover all those amazing things and great feeling about it brings some of that back :D
Also its probably interesting for new players, or people that thought about getting into it.
Another thing is - I know you said you don't want to make entertainment oriented videos in your video about your future with destiny but honestly... those kinda are
they are just very fun and entertaining to watch.
But i would also love for just your "playthrough" series to continue
It also brings new players to the game and gets even the attention of people who maybe don't even know the game... cuz lets be hones: Whos gonna watch an overcomplicated guide video of how to get a crazy red crit Mesa build that requires 7 other things to work in a game they never played and thing "This looks cool i want to play this". Thats not gonna happen. If someone sees something like "I FINALLY Tried Warframe… It Is Incredible" then they might click it and then they see what its like to start the game out and how much fun you had in the process.
this is wayyyyyy to much text so i'm gonna end my yapping here xD
maybe i'll find opporutnity to share my other thoughts on another video ahahahaha
No, most wf players are super toxic and complain about everything
I just ask clan and region and qna chat, they help, or in recruit chat when you ask for help
You can get help like i had random people give me Plat cause im new
@@KodexKatwrong.
Regarding warframe being the best possible ADHD experience; I think you're absolutely right - basically whatever you're doing in the game, you're still progressing SOMETHING, so you're never wasting time pretty much
Also I think you should start with Gauss, his kit flows really well together and it's just fun being that fast
God i"m really looking forward to the "quest" content ! i cant wait to see you discover what insane content is waiting for you !
@@MEYH3M if your a vet then your iq is just low for the statement you made.
If you make an intro series, please do it on an account that is completely fresh and not tainted by your stream.
as a long time player for warframe
i always love watching newer players journey and how they progress and see them actually enjoying the game
its honestly a real nice vibe so i hope u keep the grind up brother 👍
These episodes go by in a blink, so satisfying to watch. Please keep uploading them till you're at least caught up with the main story. Crafting and grinding tangents are equally fun.
New players when Stalker shows up: (confused screaming)
Veterans when Stalker shows up: “HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TEACH YOU THIS LESSON OLD MAN!?”
Yep, there's a vengeance hit-squad mechanic (like the Darkmoons in Darksouls),
targeting a boss, angering a syndicate, or siding with one side when the NPC factions are fighting, will cause them to take a hit out on you.
Plus side, dispatching the assassins can give you exclusive loot.
The feeling of actual nervous panic from your first stalker encounter is something that DE has done so well. Not sure if you've gone through the one horror themed quest 'chains of harrow' but it's one of the best crafted early quests.
Aye that quest is such a vibe
I don't think he's done any more quests since Stolen Dreams. Seems to me he's been grinding to gear up, rather than diving into the story quests. Which is fine. Those can be more fun with fancier gear.
Quest wise, he is currently up to New War
Can't wait to see vids on your reactions to Natah and The Second Dream!
Don't delete the normal frames. You'll need them later.
by that do u mean subsuming or is there something else?
bros got 40 slots i think he’s good
Easy to say when bro has who knows what amount of frame slots whereas your average beginner has way less
After 7 years playing warframe it's always so satisfying watching new players get there
Is so nice to see you ENJOYING our game man
Sad to c 😢 , your walkthrought as a new player has been corrupted. GLHF.
I have been crafted
Omg its señor gauss
Hmmm
You probably know this, but you can switch tabs at the top of the Foundry.
So you can look only at warframe parts or only Mining stuff etc
Yes I am mad btw
@@NumaFingers same i hate on the daily
Glad DE added a voice to Stalker in the Jade Shadows update. Made his first stalker appearance way better.
Not tryna hate but he’s experiencing basically none of the grind of the game or in game trading that 99% of players do, from the sheer amount of stuff he’s given…
same but i am hating lmao. his entire perspective of progress is so entirely and crazily warped
2:50 Honestly, the warframe community, especially vets, just love watching people playing and being excited about warframe.
That and watching streamers playing for the first time feels somewhere between showing and helping a friend through a game you love for the first time.
