hi, how can we keep blur on object but disable camera motion blur ? I tried with tag but not worked. Here is what i tried. Helicopter body taged and disabled mb but in propeller enabled. But still camera mb in scene
You can do this on a per object basis by adding a RS Object tag to the object you want to control the Motion Blur of. Then activate and override the Motion Blur settings in the tag.
Thanks for sharing your insights. Have you ever tried to follow an animated object with a camera? I am having trouble with getting the motionblur looking correct. Normally there should only be minimal or motionblur on an object which is followed by the camera, right?
Hey, yes, if the object is in a fixed position (relative to the camera), there should be very little motion blur on it. But even if you're following an object, things like zooming in/out will still result in motion blur.
@@Digidemy you are right and I would have guessed so too. I found the solution in the meantime though: I had the object animated on a spline and only needed to change the calculation order of the tag to be done first.
You need to be in the Advanced mode of the Redshift settings and the Motion Blur tab. In there, the Shutter Type needs to be set to "custom" to reveal the Frame Duration setting.
one problem im having is when i turn on motion blur in redshift render settings and deform blue...the delay effector spring animation which is have in my animation stops working....any idea whats going on?
If you're using something like the Delay Effector, you'll need to use the MoGraph Cache tag to bake the animation first as it needs to calculate the previous frames for the Motion Blur to be added. It will then render correctly.
Very nice and clean material!
Thanks!
Thank you!
Thank you, even for Maya users this is helpful.
Great to hear! :)

Hello, I have not the frame duration settings on my. c4d...it's the latest version, I don't understand..

Great!
How do I use motion vector pass & add motion blur in comp ?
That would be a different video altogether! I might make one explaining AOVs in Redshift.
