That's a machine that I loved from concept to execution but have not yet had the experience of riding it. This year, I will set that right. Killer machine. No way to debate it.
I wonder if they’ll do one! Seems super close to what the Monster is. But then again, they can have a hooligan bike on the Monster and more of a sharp track bike on the V2 SF.
@@chrissorreda4982 As far as I know the Monster range is reducing to the new light weight 937cc non trellis version, and a MCN exclusive back in December with Ducati's CEO implied a V2 Streetfighter later this year, fingers x'd.

Thanks for a nice first impression video! I purchased the S model about 6 months ago and while it's the most expensive bike I've ever owned, it is by far the best. Only thing you may find lacking is usable range as the fuel light comes on somewhere around 85 miles. 😂 Also you commented on heated grips: the button is there yes but they must be fitted as an option. Also the aftermarket akra exhaust is ridiculously expensive but the sound it makes afterwards is pretty awesome! All things considered, it is simply an amazing ride! Looking forward to your comparison with the Super Duke R.
Why is this such a big deal lol. Its one thing when tech ruins something (electronic steering on cars), its another to unnecessarily want to have ‘old’ tech (keyless entry/ignition).
I guess you've never dropped your keys at a petrol station then spent the next 10 minutes panicking trying to find them like I have then! A lot of riders have no other keys with it which makes it easier to loose plus of course if commuting bike thieves are known to come up next to you at the lights, steal your keys and then ride off hoping you'll leave your bike at the roadside so they can then steal it with the aid of another gang member spotting for them. I've had it on my last 2 GS' and like it, though I would agree it's not much use unless the fuel cap is keyless too. It's more convenience than anything, if you've never had it you're probably not bothered but once you do have it keyless becomes a nice to have.
@@Bazza47 Yeah i think the people that are either meh or against keyless (cars or bikes) are ones who haven’t lived with one long term. Its like auto wipers and lights on cars, hard to understand how handy they are until you’ve had them on your daily driver.

You had me at comfort, now that really is a machine and half.........that radiator & oil cooler look expensively vulnerable aftermarket guard required? A peach of a bike that I’d love to own👍
I’ve had slow bikes (most notably a Moto Guzzi V7) and I would much prefer to ride a fast bike slowly- better suspension, brakes, and more flexible power bands. The cliche about slow bikes fast is so boring to hear.
To me this is waaay better than the Diavel - but that said I've not ridden the latest one, just the previous version and the XDiavel (which I didn't get on with at all)....
Come on Mr Flyer.... you need a few hours in the saddle to find out how comfortable a bike is surely. Another awesome, rich persons plaything, that has no practical use on the road or indeed the track for most of us. Are you going to buy one for the TMF man cave ?.... Thought not. Keep up the good work love your videos. @@TheMissendenFlyer Its a lovely bike Andy and I am tempted, but the RS 660 or Tuono 660 would probably be all I would need for my collection, but you never know. When we get back to normality and can demo bikes again I will be trying a few of these types of bikes.
Hey there Sonny! My next birthday will be 70. Let's grab a couple of those and head for the track?
Great first ride review. I’m looking at the street fighter and the KTM duke but nearly £20k is a lot of money, I’ve heard rumours of a V2 street fighter. If that was price around £13k I think it would sell really well.
Totally agree
Awesome video mate. I’d have the street fighter just for the V4 and seating position. I’m a sucker for the V4s , currently have a crossrunner and the engine is just magic ....
another great video! was wondering wot camera are you using whilst riding? thanks
GoPro 9
Just what I need after being told to lock down for 10 days due to the 'Vid. Cheers for the review.
Hope you get through your isolation OK.....sorry to hear that :0(
Great bike in great weather. Very Ducati sounding engine note.
You are right, does look better in the flesh. When I saw it in person, it was only moderately ugly!
Nice review as always!
You had me at comfort, now that really is a machine and half.........that radiator & oil cooler look expensively vulnerable aftermarket guard required? A peach of a bike that I’d love to own👍
I’d been looking forward to this video 😎 . “Might have to talk to management” 😂😂
Try the Comfort seat !!! Excellent!!!
I'd rather ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow. That being said, unless it's furniture and accessories, more is always better.
Yes generally I agree with that Thomas - but this really is a nice machine.....so maybe an exception for this one ;0)
@@TheMissendenFlyerI DONT THINK SO
And you ride a? Honda Gromit?
@@Aiken47 I have a few bikes. My smallest is an air cooled Thruxton Ace Cafe ed. The 900 is anemic, but gets the job done.
I’ve had slow bikes (most notably a Moto Guzzi V7) and I would much prefer to ride a fast bike slowly- better suspension, brakes, and more flexible power bands. The cliche about slow bikes fast is so boring to hear.
Thoughts on this compared to a Diavel for normal street riding? If they come out with a V2 street fighter, It might be a tough decision.
On a personal note, having owned Gixxers, S1000R, Tuono V4 Factory, Africa Twin etc. etc. The only bike I've ever kept for more than 18 months is my 3 YO Street Triple 765 RS, I still love this bike, for me it does so many things so well, also loving my Zero SR/S the most practical bike I've ever owned and a scream to ride.
...and also quite impractical for most of us! ;0)
Lovely bike TMF , See if you can blag the new V4 Multistrada when you take it back, be great to get your thoughts on that.
Great video. Interesting as normal. Bit surprised this premium piece of kit does not have a fuel gauge?
0:17 "With all the extra bits and pieces on it ... including electronic dampers and wheels" And that about rounds out the list.
...you get an additional "S" in the logo.....
Preference for this type of riding position is just sign if what the body wants now, sadly. Welcome to the club of middle age. It's actually quite good.
Happy travels
Indeed....good to hear from you again TT!
Ooof hefty price there but a lot of bike liking this one Andy the damper looks like an after thought maybe but a small thing i think your gonna have a lot of fun with this beast . : )
I will never be able to afford one but i would love to own one of these.
thanks for the valuable feedback. what s the sitting position like? upright or more aggressive ? ( compared to the Monster?). any pressure on the wrists?
No pressure on the wrists...
'feels so much like exotica'
Yep, that'll be highly apparent from the size of the bill for the valve adjustment interval!
Great review mate. I would like to hear how you would kit this bike out for touring.
The way to do that is to buy a V4S Multistrada with panniers and top box and tank bag......this is not meant as a tourer at all.
Looking for a bike to compliment my 2014 R1200GS and I think this one might fit the bill! I've heard the Street Fighter V4 with the Akropovic full exhaust and found it to be positively evil sounding! Thanks for another great review.
