Brushed stainless, carbon, dry clutch and wings, that’s the best looking bike I have seen in along time 😍
As an owner of a BMW S1000R, I always said that "why we should compromise?". What if I like having 200+ HP on a motorcycle but being more comfortable than in a super sport. I like the fact that Ducati did it, and I hope other manufacturers follow suit. Nice video, as always!
You mean, like a Kawasaki Z H2?
@@XenonG Right because the Z H2 can compete with this when it comes to it's weight and chassis setup lol
Yeah naked bikes aren’t new.
@@XenonG
I own a 2021 z h2 and my buddy owns a 2020 streetfighter v4. They're very different bikes. You can have fun on the zh2 riding your local twisty roads, but on the track it's not a fun bike at all. It's very slow and clumsy.
It's not your typical razor-sharp hyper naked; it's a heavy and clumsy bike. It's kind of a "muscle car" of motorcycles.
@@XenonG Yeah! I completely forgot about it. But yeah, that is another great example.
Like going in for a bean flick with a pair of oven gloves on?! 😂😂😂👌🏻👌🏻
Just brilliant 😂
The Dooo-catty bean flick. Wonder if anyone has mastered the technique.
He cracks me up 😂
That literally cracked me up
Does that mean what I think it means? It must...
I will NEVER go back to a bike with clip ons. Riding a naked with Motobars was a MASSIVE gamechanger for me. I am MUCH faster and MUCH 'calmer' on the track as well. It is just so much more enjoyable. I now have my dreambike, V-4 SP. I did, however, install a small windscreen on it made by Ducati, and I also changed the tires to Super Corsa SP, along with Termi slip-ons with re-map. Going to the track in a few weeks. Then 'Road Atlanta' for track day in the spring.
Thank you Ducati for bringing 44T in to this. Top notch as always Al what a bike!
must say the Streetfighter isn't my favourite super naked but my god that looks soooo good 😍
Wait until you swing a leg over it pops!
What a beast. Didn't need lots of words, I felt like I was hanging onto the bike myself during the whole review. It looks incredible too.
44teeth back at it with the banging reviews. Yes lads!
Al, thanks for showing a full lap. For being a tiny little track, it seems to have a bit of everything. I'm a Tuono fanboy and hope this spurs Aprilia to produce something similar. Great video as always!
Same. I have a good old gen2 that I recently bought and have made a project bike of.
I feel like the Tuono has lost its way in recent years, especially with the new model; it doesn't know what it is anymore.
Great review, but i really miss those older style reviews where Al and Chris would sit and have a dialog between each other about the bike.
Anyway, great to see Al on action !
I always find Chris's input into bikes very engaging with how he describes how it feels to ride. Have missed him like you say.
That looks so quick round there, would be an absolute missile on a mountain road in the UK! Another amazing video there Statham
Good god that's the one. Despite how good modern Ducatis are, they just haven't been my thing. But this and the Multistrada Pikes Peak are right up my alley. Unfortunately, by the time I'm able to afford one, I'll probably be riding a mobility scooter.
"I looked at it and thought, shall I ride it or Shag it?" 🤣 Quality review 👍
Dude that last lap…I could feel the speed from here. And it looked effortless. Do want.
I’ve got stock exhaust on my 2021 Streetfighter V4S. BST Rapidtek’s made a big difference, even for fast street riding.
Love watching Al test riding bikes on perfect looking tracks in the sun. Especially with bikes like that. Really wish I had his job 😂
Until payday... 😂
@@FortyFourTeeth Nah, still jelly 😁
@@FortyFourTeeth 😂😂 I’ll pay you to take me with you next time 🤙🏻 Not In the pissing rain though
"It's like going in for a bean flick with the oven gloves on". 🤣 You silver tongued jester - fantastic analogy.
So Aprilia should put the RSV4 engine in the Tuono V4, put carbon wheels on it, stylema’s and call it the Tuono V4 SP… Now that would be the ultimate hyper naked….
Aprillia literally put the tuono engine in the RSV4 1100 but tuned it a bit higher. I had a 2017 Tuono 1100rr and trust me, it doesn't need more power. It's very powerful and out-accelerates any superbike till the gears end up.
Also, if you need 200HP on the Tuono, you can install the RSV4 airbox and it'll unlock 180rwhp, which is essentially 200hp at the crank, but most people like the Tuono so much mostly because of that raw midrange power and torque.
That was excellent! Great review. Great track footage. And a beautiful bike. Thank-you for taking us along for the ride 👍
Well done Al (and the track camera person), what a machine! Great review as always, thanks!
Fagan is the only moto reviewer who reviews the lunch with the bike. Can't wait for the uncut footage on bike sausage
That lap 2/3rds in that had no commentary and showed near a full lap was wiiiicked… chin cam over the flickering paint… love it 😉
I still find the STREETfighter line to be too compromised for the STREET. 80 miles of range, no fuel meter, and no cruise control are a non-issue for the track but deal breakers for the street. I'd like Ducati to live up to the streetfighter name and give us a more versatile street biased option.
I'm kind of glad that the bike has these flaws, otherwise I'd be out of >$25k 😂
35k usa
@@michaeljkasnter So that would 49K AUD, tell em he is dreaming son
You need to ride one. My buddy owns a 2020 model, and man, it's the perfect bike. It behaves so smoothly and nicely at lower rpm. The seat is one of the most comfortable seats I have ever experienced on a motorcycle, let alone a sporty one.
But when you open it up, all hell breaks loose.
In my opinion, the fuel gauge and cruise control are minor inconveniences when the bike rides so amazingly on the street.
Also, I had a 2017 Tuono 1100rr and now a 2021 Zh2 and I never used the cruise control option. Ironically, I find it more useful on less comfortable bikes like superbikes.
@@Fearless154 I could live without the fuel gauge since you can always use the trip meter instead but Ducati really has no excuse not to put cruise control on such an expensive bike. There are $10k bikes that come with them stock now.
I personally use cruise every time I'm on the highway on my MT 10 and I'd expect it on a >$25k street oriented bike. Every other hyper naked has one!
And 70-90 miles of range is absurd. Why couldn't they just put a slightly larger tank to get at least 120 miles? I wouldn't mind the extra weight on a street biased motorcycle especially if I can get more range. I just feel like Ducati has the wrong priorities. I have a weekend trip coming up where there are stretches of twisty road with no gas for 150 miles. It's annoying enough that my MT taps out at 120 miles.
I found the Tuono to be too uncomfortable, the Super Duke too unreliable, but the ZH2 has caught my eye. I hear it doesn't handle as well but is super comfortable. How do you like it?
I have one and I absolutely love it but damn the shit needs cruise control
An awesome insight and I agree with you 💯! As an ex Australian Superbike racer, I get tired of hearing about what people have spent to make their bikes go faster. From my perspective, “if” you need a faster bike simply buy one. The R&D manufacturers spend simply out weighs what a “backyard” mechanic can achieve. Yes Euro5 has made this different however this is simple proof. Great to also hear a naked bike that is capable on track compared to the conventional clip ons and fairings kit. 👍😎🇦🇺
Great review! Making me want to buy one and sell my ‘normal’ Streetfighter V4S
Ahhhh! Now THERE's a sound I've not heard in a long time...(dry clutch plates rattling) Reminds me of my ol' 900ss.
You're a lucky dog Al! Keep up the good work, I'm watching from the mountains of Colorado USA drooling.
Look at that subtle off-bronze coloring, the tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God!!! It even has a dry clutch…
is anyone else dipping their head left to right with the onboards. brilliant riding what a bike.
Just 3 things
SP
Oven glove
Statham
😂👍
I would give anything to be able to ride as well as this. Nice one Nige. Great review
I'd love an all black one of those !
Looking forward to the video ... you didn't give too much away on the walkaround
Well done being invited.
Goin in to flick the bean with a pair of oven mits on🤣🤣🤣classic!!! Love your metaphors!!!
Awesome review from Statham as always! PS: The S1K review from you guys helped in making the decision!
I'm swapping in my V4S for one of these bad boy SP's. I cant wait. Actually opted for the full Akrapovic system also even though they really don't need it. Only live once so jumped on it. Pictures and videos do not do it justice when you see them in the flesh 🤪
A bean flick wearing oven gloves?!! You're going to be in trouble for that one!!😆
Oh my! The black/red/silver bike is absolutely stunning! 😍 Would love to have one.
Another great review by the best in the biz , absolutely love the streetfighter and now I’ve seen this I love them even more. Great riding mate . Love the channel.
Well Sunney,
I remember back in the Day when All Ducati had dry clutches!! Really miss my 748,749, & ST2😢 building 996😋
Testing the back seat is above and beyond 👏👏👏
What an amazing job you guys do and what an amazing job you guys have ;)
Nice going. Your lines were night and day between the S and SP! I would love to see you do a back to back review of the Panigale V4 SP(1) vs SP2😍
3:26 What was this? A new riding position? A new technique?🤣
Looks like Ducati and made the pinnacle of motorcycles, something fast af, relatively comfy and beautiful, now just have to save some pennies to get one !
Honestly I'd need a centrally mounted catch tank... What a beast!
Great review 😁👍🏻
“Bean Flick with oven gloves on” and “shall I ride it or shag it” need to be on the next range of 44T-shirts 😂
Great video and I actually managed to find one left in the uk today. Deposit taken!!
Are you secretly Lamb Chops with shades or his younger brother?! Nice review either way!
Great footage and editing as always
Al Fagan can fair get a shift on!! Man has some skills 👌🏽
I have CF wheels and they are transformational... the only other mod I've ever done that as comparable a change in sotp is gearing.
That lap at around 11 minutes looked lovely... banged every apex.
But why a dry clutch? One of the best things about bikes is the wet clutch - easy to change, lasts longer, no worries about slipping them in the slower bits/parking lots.
More power
Turn @ 3:30 was gold 😂 Full lap was amazing, amazing riding.
Fanbloodytastic and thank God those tyres really did stick beyond where you thought they did. (no doubt)
Corking video as always from 44 teeth and you know Al is loving it by the involuntary woohoo while on track ...... but ffs Nige did you have to open with a full on facial shot with no prior warning 😉
Sorry Nige 😂
Ducati are riding the crest right now.Thanks.
Didn’t seem like there was much wind buffeting at high speed is that correct??
Also this is one of the best videos I’ve seen of how rude a track. Maybe as an idea you guys could do future videos on track riding. Only cause I’ve just noticed how quick you are in cracking the throttle compared to where I used to. Awesome review! Great footage!!
Top review. Lovely work. But have to say, this bike appears to be perfection on two wheels
Wish we saw more from you!
How about a Brutale 1000 RR review as a comparison? :D
Oh yes, been waiting for this one 👍
It has similar looks to the new MT10sp (2022). Looks and SOUNDS A-MAZ-ING. Gr8 review Al.
great video as always . . . keep pumping out great content ! ! !
First three corners so look abit of me, never got to back to back my bst’s after smashing old bike up and having 5 months off but they’ve always felt positive 💪🏻
That black line at 15:55 ... 🍆 proper riding there Al
I cant unsee those fluid reservoirs
Just got mine in! Waiting on a few mods like tidy tail and a few other things and I take delivery in a few days!
I couldn't ride that bike knowing only a small stone in that clutch basket is going to end up a major costly exercise.
Bean flick with a mitt on. Lmao I still phucking love it.
Love it love it love it. Yes nige. What a beauty. Fortunate man to do what you do.
Fabulous riding! The track looks really fun too.
Top riding Al, Nige.
The bike is gorgeous and Al looks really quick on it. But this review lacks epic wheelies. 4 stars.
Look at that italian beauty, mate you need to consider that messy helmet hair. ( I have the same problem)
Beautiful stuff. It's been too long since I've done a track day
What a stunning machine ,Thanks for the insight on this beautiful machine
Why didn't the have the full akro on it to really unleash the beast
FPMSL the bean flick
Your head cam angles are great, can you tell your go pro setup for the helmet?
Agreed. It’s something to behold (saw it on display at R4R and stayed far away from it😂). I bet somewhere there is a man who bought this weapon without asking the wife, sleeping alone tonight, with a grin on his stupid face.
Decent video that Al! 👍 I know it’s not the same but I might have to get myself down to Riders of Brizzle to test ride the standard version…
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get one and you, Chris & Boothy do a 1 bike endurance team at no limits! It'd be awesome
That sounds, just wow
Great review as always 👍
Nice one mate! Really enjoyed that!
Nice. Something good to watch while I burn the wife's tea 👍 cheers guys 👍
😂
Beautiful looking bike but why a track focused hyper naked, I’ve never understood the wanting to ride a naked bike on track or buy one with a focus to ride it as a track bike when there are so many more suitable bikes
Another quality review thanks 👍
Genuine question. "Pegs 5mm higher but feel 20mm higher due to firmer suspension". Is that counter-intuitive - surely softer suspension would make the pegs feel higher as the seat height reduces more increasing the bend of the knee? Just keen to understand. Great review BTW.
The pegs are fixed to the frame so the pegs/seat/bars seating ratio wouldn't change due to any suspension change.
I'm assuming that with firmer suspension, he's talking about ground clearance in turns...?
Lovin' the leathers!
What a bike, looked like a great track as well.
Cheers!
Great stuff Al 👍
Yessssss. What a bike
It's not a hypernaked unless you ride it naked.
Like it or shag it… 😂😂😂 Another great review!!! Legend!!
Once again the Transporter with another amzing review. Just goes to show you probably dont need toupgrade you bike, go suspension, go carbon wheels. Save 10k.
how did you like Cremona?
Loved it!
Definitely looks like the most fun you can have with your clothes on &sounds epic 🏍🎉👍👍
Bean flick with oven gloves 😂😂😂
"Should I ride it or shag it?" haha, love it.
